ADVICE: I got the feeling as I was doing this that it applies to many visitors. It is very odd too: no action involved, and a lot of questions being asked. Read this more carefully than usual; there may be between-the-lines subtleties sparkling in this mud. You can’t just not know and wonder about all these things. Don’t you be thinking so many things can’t be done: That’s silly. Why can’t each and every document be suspect?
(At the time of production, there’s no way to correct the lack of spaces after punctuation. I am writing around it now!)

Is this the first time you come here? Well … what to do:
*Go to Advice above which is a summary of the Messages. (Advice is everyone’s favorite part.)
*Go to Daily Message Tarot Analysis below. One or more of those sentences has something to say to you. Intuitively pick those out. They are about you and the people around you. They are about today and the days around it. ( It is a group message like a horoscope, except Tarot isn’t based on someone else’s birth data, so it can be specific, accurate, detailed and direct. Our experiment here is “How much more accurate is it?”)
Did you come here for your predictions? – You are done now – See you tomorrow.
Without a question to focus the answer, four cards can mean contradictory things especially when the Spread has a card that negates other cards. Without a question also the pronouns in a group reading are more flexible, especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads. When a pronoun is in parentheses, feel very free to substitute. The question in a ‘real’ individual reading supplies at least half the information!

Not knowing
OOPS! We are locked out since we don’t know the password.
It’s anybody’s guess how long the fool will be locked up for that.
You can’t just not know and wonder about all these things.
Can’t be done
Don’t you be thinking so many things can’t be done: That’s silly.
There seem to be a lot of things we can’t do, doesn’t there?
Can you just tell them you think it can’t be done?
What do you mean ‘We can’t ask them these questions.’?
Whuddya mean I can’t? – I am thinking up all the ways …
Every time you are thinking you can’t, doubt that.
When you just can’t figure it out, ask a lot of questions.
You can’t just not know and wonder about all these things.
Dumb Stuff
How much more ridiculous can it get? – It can’t.
Why can’t each and every one of these writings be silly?
Why can’t each and every document be suspect?
Why can’t each and every one of those people be idiots?
You can’t do that many stupid things in that time, can you?
You can’t say that many dumb things that fast, can you?
How quickly?
How quickly can you quit wondering about it?
That’s coming to a stop pretty fast. Did I figure it right?
How quickly do you think we can lock it/him up?
Figure ____ must have died quickly.
You can’t say that many dumb things that fast, can you?
You can’t do that many stupid things in that time, can you?
Locked, Stuck, Impasse, Stymied, Contained, Boxed in, Etc.
It’s anybody’s guess how long the fool will be locked up for that.
We are figuring out “How quickly can that be contained?”
When you are wondering about this many things, it must mean you are stuck.
It looks like it’s fast coming to an impasse, doesn’t it?
Ask them questions when it seems you are stymied.
It’s grinding to a halt and we can only wonder about it.
Doubt each and every one of the uncertainties that hold you back.
How many?
Looks like it jammed how many times now?
I suppose we won’t know the number of casualties, will we?
How many times have we asked “Why?” to no avail?
How many times now does it seem there’s just no way?
I guess we aren’t going to know how many of them are in the box.
Ask about what all those things in the safe are.

MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS: OBSERVATION OF THE SPREAD
Oh boy, said I when I put these Tarot specimens down. What am I gonna do with this? – which, come to think of it, is pretty much what this spread says. We have both cards that mean “Huh? Duh. Whut? I dunno.” and suggest the sentence be a question. That would be Seven of Pentacles who is wondering and uncertain, and would be Pace of Cups who is a question, who feels silly or awkward, and who means all things ridiculous, stupid, etc.
So the next thing that hits you is the old “There’s no action card here” situation. The next Tarot citizen to show up does not help with that: Eight of Wands simply means number things, amount things, counting things … and ‘fast’ or ‘quickly.’ So what about our last remaining hope here? Nope, the last Tarot citizen is Eight of Swords: gridlock, halted, death or casualty, contained, tied, stymied, blocked, locked (in or out).
I amaze myself finding all the meanings to these four. I am such a genius, says me.
MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS: INDIVIDUAL RIDER WAITE TAROT CARDS
Eight of Swords has a narrow band of meanings, so it is one of what I call ‘anchor cards.’ You look to it for the direction of the message. Illustration shows a blindfolded and bound woman in a swamp surrounded by weapons, head bent and hands behind back. Pretty plain. It means things like: can’t, limited, contained, blocked, halt or halted, gridlock, tied, death or casualty, stymied, locked (in or out), unable, disabled.
Seven of Pentacles is one of the ‘Duh’ cards – my nomenclature. Its main meanings are wonder, uncertain/uncertainty, doubt and ‘doubt about the outcome,’ to puzzle – things that make a person insecure. Illustrated by leaning on your shovel wondering whether you are going to get any cucumbers from your plants you are tending.
Eight of Wands has few meanings and is therefore an ‘anchor card.’ The illustration shows arrows flying in the air one after the other in a quick burst. (Yeah, those sticks are supposed to be arrows. Pamela Coleman Smith was not a bow hunter.) Its phrases are about numbers of things, amounts of things, counting, increasing, more and more, and fast or quickly.
Page of Cups echoes Seven of Pentacles’ uncertainty, doubt, wonderment, puzzlement. It adds these phrases too: ridiculous, dumb or silly, idiot. It too brings up “Why?” as a question and suggests the sentence be put in question form. Its illustration is a dumb-looking fellow dressed in women’s attire and carrying a fish in a cup.

This Weekend’s Question is: A Satisfactory Love Life. Advice asks questions of us when we ask about a satisfactory love life. ‘Why are you in this situation?’ is its basic question of us. Implication is obvious: If we want a love life that is satisfactory, we should not tarry in a situation that is not making us happy. It reminds me of Ann Lander’s famous ‘Are you better off with or without this person?’ It suggests not rewarding a partner who is not rewarding us.

Woman’s Perspective Why are you putting so much into a fella who can’t commit? If he can’t be decent to you, why are you taking such good care of him? She seems to be stuck in ‘give’ mode: Is this the way it should be? Is it really a good thing for a woman to limit herself to taking care of a man? Maybe she should tie her money up, in her name. Should she let her money be tied up in his business? Her foolish generosity keeps her from having a normal life. If it isn’t going to be the way it should, why are you investing yourself in it? With all her talent and ability, why does she confine herself to the traditional caretaking role? Man’s Perspective Why are you committing to a woman who is so possessive she ties you up? He guesses she should do the bookkeeping since he can’t. Is this normal? Why would my woman limit herself only to my business? Gee, why can’t I be with a good woman who really cares for me? Why do I feel stuck when I have a nice normal woman who helps me out? If your woman is being decent to you, are you limited just to her? He seems to think it’s normal that she can’t give him anything. I analyze business situations and personal relationships accurately from both Tarot and practical perspectives, and even make it fun. (Testimonials are on the web site. Just click the link.) ========================================================================= Meanings and Illustrations: Observation of the Spread The basic meanings of our four Rider Waite members of our Tarot spread today are: Why (a question form), woman who generously takes care of and is devoted to her man, commit or should, and can’t or limited, confined to. So the story is obvious and simple, with, as usual, some variation. Before this spread, there were several that also limited the story to a soap opera type situation like this does. They had few meanings and were even more obvious and even more simple. Soo, this must be what Tarot has to say to y’all today. Eight of Swords and Hierophant both mean to limit, but in very different ways. Eight of Swords is to be limited by being unable: You can’t. Hierophant means to be decent, traditional, normal – to limit to that range. And that’s it for cards with the same theme in today’s layout. Meanings and Illustrations: Individual Rider Waite Tarot Cards Page of Cups is a question. Why? What? It tells you as the reader to put the material in question form. It also means a weirdo, being confused or dumfounded, and feeling awkward. Silly is its word. Its illustration is a strangely dressed fellow who has a fish in a cup and is holding it out as if to display it, with a goofy expression on his face. Queen of Pentacles is the woman who is giving, who takes care of her man, who manages his business for him (and his money), who is a bookkeeper, who is possessive. She has money of her own. Sometimes she supports her man financially too. And sometimes she has ‘money of her own.’ Her illustration shows a lady looking fondly and intelligently (my opinion, of course) at the money she holds in her lap. She is surrounded by vegetation: fertile place equals money. She looks tall and perhaps even imposing. Hierophant here keeps meaning ‘committed.’ Other phrases: usual, normal, good, should, decent, in the name of. The core meaning of Hierophant is ‘the official story.’ It is about the difference in the dogma the Catholic church proclaims, and what it actually, behind the scenes, practices. The children’s version of politics type thing. So what is depicted is a formal public ritual. Eight of Swords can’t, is stuck, limited, tied up, isn’t, confined, and keeps (someone or something) from having/doing, etc. The lady in the illustration is tied up in a swamp with weapons around her, far away from her home on the hill, helpless and hopeless. She is not struggling.
