Advice is about women in the family,  with the emphasis on women who are related who get along in an extended family situation.  The family is emphatically a close,  good and happy one.  We have the wife and her mother or mother-in-law.  Children are part of the story.  Being his wife means a close relationship with his mama.  His wife deals with his ex-wife for them as a couple.
