Tarot Readings: New Year’s party (Two of Pentacles and Judgment)

As we leave it all behind, we act silly and make loud noises.

Dress up and dance the old away, and then blow the horn.

A warning about traveling while tipsy.

Maybe I will avoid another New Year’s noise-making.

Maybe I will go out for New Year’s.

..…..

Tarot Readings: Beginning at the End (Six of Swords and Judgment)

It’s almost over and it’s almost starting up.

This is an ongoing story of getting out of one thing and beginning a fresh one.

Drifting into starting over one more time.

On the way out of the past, here comes another go-round.

Just when I’m getting over one, another one pops up.

Here we are beginning at the end again.

Out with the old and in with the new.

..…..

Tarot Readings: The Same Thing Over Again (Two of Pentacles and Judgment)

I am making the same announcement again about having a better life from now on.

One big announcement after another about what I’m not going to do anymore.

Going to avoid doing the same things over and over this time around.

Leaving it all behind again and starting over again.

..…..

Tarot Readings: Maybe Put the Past Behind (Six of Swords and Two of Pentacles)

Maybe I can put the past behind and start over.

We are getting over things as we are getting into New Year’s.

Avoiding all the slip-ups of the past, I am saying.

Leaving it all behind in the process of a new phase, a new life.

Phasing out of a disappointment and into a recovery.

Putting the dreary parts of the past aside and celebrating a renewal.

.

Now, Part Two,

Do you want to know a little, or a lot, about how this Tarot Verbatim™ thing works? If so,

*Go to Learn Tarot by Observing section below. This tells about the combined meanings of the three cards in the pictures in the Tarot Readings.  It explains how these cards get together in your mind to make the messages. HERE ARE PHRASES FOR ALL THREE 2-CARD COMBINATIONSis a stream-of-consciousness bridge to your subconscious if you use it regularly – people report.

*Go to Learn Tarot by Pictures.  It is what each of the cards, by itself, has to say.  It shows you how that illustration makes that card’s meanings in today’s Spread. All the words of each Tarot card reading you see here are a phrase-by-phrase translation of the scene pictured on those cards: no filler, no psychic impressions, no spirit guide. Word-for-word Tarot Verbatim™.

You can put all this together and intuitively see yourself how Tarot Verbatim™ works.

This is a group reading, with no Questioner and no Question to limit what the cards say, so there’s more variety – even contradictions – than a personal reading would give you. Also, pronouns are flexible: If the sentence feels like it’s yours, and it says ‘he,’ but you’re a ‘she,’ well, it’s yours.

*AND if you write names of any two cards into the Google search bar, it will give you meanings of those!

Six of Swords – Two of Pentacles – Judgment

.

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

.

……………….……………………     New Year’s and New Year’s party is one of Judgment’s meanings because of the horn and the fact Judgment’s main meaning is a new phase, a new life. Two of Pentacles chimes in with a cycle, going around one more time, dancing, being goofy, and tipsy. Six of Swords is putting the past, the old year in this case, behind. If I had hand-selected three cards to talk about New Year’s, I could not do as well as this.

………………………..     Six of Swords is leaving for a better time, a better place, a better life – putting the past behind and starting over. The illustration shows a mother and child leaving in a shallow open boat like refugees. It is both a melancholy and a hopeful card. ‘Tomorrow is another day.’ The mood New Year’s brings us.

………………………..      Two of Pentacles is about cycles and movement. So it tells of going through the same movements, the same cycle, repeatedly. It is also being goofy and doing silly things, wearing strange clothes – a dunce cap, even. You see a juggler with two balls or plates, dancing as he keeps them going. There’s the math sign for ‘repeated indefinitely’ around the items he juggles.

………………………..     Judgment is about a new phase, a new life, mainly: people alive again up and out of their coffins. It also means to recover, again, a re-do or another go-round (which Two of Pentacles means exactly). Then there’s the horn that wakes the dead – the horn we blow at midnight when the change takes place of a dying year and a live year.

……….…………        Six of Swords and Two of Pentacles     Six of Swords and Two of Pentacles mean the process (Two of Pentacles) of putting it behind you (Six of Swords). Leaving (Six of Swords) again (Two of Pentacles). Drifting out of (Six of Swords) one more time (Two of Pentacles). Leaving it all behind in the process of …. Avoiding (Six of Swords) another slip-up (Two of Pentacles). It’s almost over – Two of Pentacles’ ‘in the process’ mode combining with Six of Swords’ journey out of a place: There’s no arriving. We are also avoiding (Six of Swords) doing something stupid or silly (Two of Pentacles) again (either Two of Pentacles or Judgment). Maybe (Two of Pentacles) put the past behind (Six of Swords). Phasing out of a disappointment (Six of Swords) and into … (Two of Pentacles). Two of Pentacles is ‘in and out,’ so here we have ‘Out with the old and in with the new.’ Going to avoid (Six of Swords) doing the same thing over again (Two of Pentacles). Maybe (Two of Pentacles) put the past behind (Six of Swords). Leaving it all behind (Six of Swords) again (Two of Pentacles). Dress up and dance (Two of Pentacles) the night away (Six of Swords). x..

……….………….      Six of Swords and Judgment      Six of Swords and Judgment are putting the past behind (Six of Swords) for a new life, or for renewal (Judgment), and they also are leaving (Six of Swords) again (Judgment). Both of them mean a better life than in the past. Judgment means both ‘the new life’ and ‘again.’ These describe a New Year’s resolution: Judgment is the big announcement, and Six of Swords is to head away from where you are now. They say ‘not going to do that again’ by Judgment meaning the re-do and Six of Swords meaning leaving that behind, avoiding it. They say beginning (Judgment) at the end (Six of Swords).  x..

……..……………     Two of Pentacles and Judgment     Two of Pentacles and Judgment both mean ‘again’ and both mean ‘another phase.’ They say ‘keep doing it over and over’ or ‘the same thing over and over again’ because Two of Pentacles is ‘keeping at it’ and Judgment is a re-do. They also say ‘something stupid (Two of Pentacles) again (Judgment). (Six of Swords makes that avoiding doing something stupid again, see?) We did not use ‘I told you that was stupid,’ with Judgment providing ‘I told you.’ x..

Here we have an intense and detailed look at New Year’s, even including a warning not to drink and drive. We have a resolution not to do some dumb things we did last year, and making the same resolution again and again. Just when I’m getting over one, another one pops up, we say. Out of one phase and into another. Tarot is joining you in your thoughts about the day, and saying ‘Happy New Year.’ I say, ‘Happy New Year, Tarot.’

LEARN TAROT BY PICTURES

.

Six of Swords…….. Six of Swords is the times you had to just give up and move on. Six of Swords is starting over after you run out of gas. Being broke and leaving town for a better life. Going on with life after someone dies. Picking up the pieces when husband leaves you with a kid. Better times are ahead because it can’t get any worse. It is one of the cards that represents depression but its meaning is that things are improving, you’re on the mend, you’re getting over it, and the worst is over. A mother and child are huddled together, leaving town as dark falls, with the clothes on their back, being paddled away from there in a crude open boat. Sometimes the import and emphasis of this card is that friend who is helping them leave: A friend helps you out.

.

Two of Pentacles …………. Two of Pentacles You see movements here: back and forth, up and down, round and round, sideways, diagonally and even spinning. You see on and on, continuing. That makes cycle or cycles. You see over and over repeatedly. Two of Pentacles can mean any of these, or combinations of these. It makes odd phrases like ‘every which way’ and ‘any way but loose’ at times. You also see silly and goofy in his clothes, and of course in the dunce cap. He is performing, and he is dancing, so Two of Pentacles can mean these. The ships tossing on the waves behind him suggest ‘unstable’ and ‘instability.’ Two of Pentacles can mean dizziness, and can indicate a person or animal’s way of moving is abnormal, which appears sometimes in medical issues.

.

Judgment  …………. Judgment today is all about New Year’s, so many of its meanings are irrelevant here at the moment. Right now, the ones we are using are the fact that Judgment is a new phase, a new life, and means an announcement (resolutions), and the horn that will blow at midnight (hopefully not waking the dead). It shares the ‘again’ meanings with Two of Pentacles, and accounts for ‘pop up,’ ‘renewal,’ ‘fresh one,’ and ‘I am saying’ too.

Tarot Readings for You for November 13-14, 2018

I always have the permission of the person whose reading this is. This is the same sort of reading you will receive if you click on the Email Reading navigation tab and put your question in.  You can research meanings displayed here further for yourself by entering the card or a pair of cards into the search bar on the Search Page..  This will access the archives of this site for you.

From Emily to the Client:

A practical answer to your question would require: (1) What your skills are, and some history of money you have made (2) What amount you have to invest (3) How long you expect the project to begin paying out – and I suspect you mean ‘this month.’

A practical answer would also require what you meant about staying healthy. One reason for being tired is not being in good health. The usual bad habits, and the usual lack of good ones, would be a start. So would supplements and diet for whatever isn’t optimal. Look into that.

I have sent you some investment newsletters I subscribe to, which contain information about how to create money consistently (small amounts that are steady) on the internet, and also invaluable investment principles. This same newsletter company sells and gives away all sorts of investment ideas. They are not saints; use your street smarts, and Google the individual men who offer and Google the offer – like Badiali offers royalties, and you will find the downside of royalties and not be thrilled.

And that took me more than two hours to find, and I did not find the one I was most looking for. Amber Lee Mason presented (and others did too) in the Stansberry site(s) a subscription program that gave you long numbers to enter into your stock brokerage account, that yielded instant money in various amounts, some larger than others, that were ‘leftover money’ from people who bet wrong on options – money stock brokers picked up in this way, and it’s a back door thing. I have Googled for two hours, found her full name and her videos, but not the ads she did for this product. If I think of it or bump into it, I will send you that. Meanwhile, you can Google that name, adding in related ideas like options losses, and you might eventually come upon the product they have advertised for years now, off and on.

Empress, yes, would be the glamour industry, which would include selling beauty and skin care products, modeling, and such things. Selling as an affiliate marketer on Amazon is a way some people make turnover money too. Marketers have videos about this, asking for a lot of money on how to do it, but Amazon probably will tell you enough to get you started. (You don’t have to store and buy the products yourself; Amazon does that.)

‘This month’ (aside from the one product I cannot find) limits the project to selling your skills in employment or in a business. If your skill is acting, sales and making promotional videos on You Tube are my first thoughts. And can you teach acting to a group of people by You Tube videos? – that kind of thing.

Here you go. I worked on this one. Should have meaning for you that’s not apparent to outsiders.

If you are comfortable with me sharing the whole thing on the blog site, I might do that because this is a really different question, and it’s something everybody (just about) wants to know – although the answer is different for different people.

Thank you,

Emily

My question is: What would be a lucrative business or investment that i can engage in this month that will bring fast and reliable income so that i can devote more of my time to my acting career and staying healthy?

Tarot Readings: Six of Swords and Fool

SIX OF SWORDS FOOL

Moving on to a new old-fashioned phase.

My days of freedom are over: I have a kid.

High consciousness slowly mellows you out.

Let my subconscious steer me out of naïveté.

You are happy to get out of that neighborhood.

Optimistic about a better future for my children.

Out of a bad scene, free of it, and in a good scene.

Off I go into the wild blue yonder of domestic bliss.

Moving to what you assume is a safe neighborhood.

.

Tarot Readings: Six of Swords and Six of Cups

SIX OF SWORDS SIX OF CUPS

Out with the old, in with the new.

Leaves the nest simply to be free.

Kid is leaving home for a new life.

Not a kid anymore but you’re still young.

Left home as a kid and never looked back.

Leaving the safe house for parts unknown.

Leaving my old self behind, just forgetting.

Out with the old ways and into anything else.

Doesn’t live there anymore – moved on to address unknown.

.

Tarot Readings: Fool and Six of Cups

FOOL SIX OF CUPS

Forget the past, just head on out.

Forget about childhood and get on with life.

Assume home life will be sweet from now on.

That was then and this is now: a new direction..

Have faith and have trust as I put the past behind.

A new optimism since the old home life is over with.

As sweet as life is now, I assume it will only get better.

Forget about children, I’m heading in another direction.

We don’t remember childhood once we aren’t there anymore.

Six of Swords – ‘Leaving with nothing but the clothes on your back’ is what you are looking at. Like refugees at dawn or dusk, a woman and child huddle in an open small paddle boat without any bags. They are going to a better place only because nothing could be worse than here. Six of Swords is despair and hope. It is the despair of leaving town in desperation, and it is the hope of the better place ahead. Six of Swords is also the journey or trip (often over water literally, sometimes a journey in consciousness, or even ‘the departed’s’ journey).

.

Often when Six of Swords emphasizes leaving, it is a sad card unless amended by other cards. Here are today’s words for Six of Swords as leaving – because day is a good example of The Three Faces of Six of Swords:

LEAVING: [NOT ANYMORE, OVER WITH, OUT OF, LEAVES, PUT BEHIND]

My days of _ are over

slowly _ you out

steer me out of

to get out of

Out of a bad scene

Leaves

Not anymore

Left home

Leaving _ behind

as I put the past behind

since the old is over with

once we aren’t there anymore

When six of Swords emphasizes the journey, you will often find words like this for it:

JOURNEY: [MOVING ON, BETTER FUTURE, HEAD OUT, GET ON WITH, FROM NOW ON]

Moving on to

a better future for

Off I go into

Moving to

head on out

and get on with life

will be _ from now on

it will only get better

When Six of Swords emphasizes the arrival, it is usually hopeful, and here are those characteristic words today:

ARRIVAL: [LEAVING FOR, MOVED ON, NEW DIRECTION, ANOTHER DIRECTION, OUT WITH AND IN WITH]

is leaving home for

Leaving for

Out with _, in with

Out with _ and into

Doesn’t _ anymore _ moved on to

a new direction

I’m heading in another direction

.

Of course, sometimes Six of Swords is simply supplying a word in a story that isn’t about relocating, just a trip to the grocery story or whatever.

Fool – Fool lives in the wild blue yonder (and it means that). The best way to sort out the far-flung meanings of Fool is to think of the zero, which means ‘nothing,’ because it’s the zero of the deck, and which is free, free-floating, free-spirited, unattached. Also to think of the subconscious and the state of being not there, and paying no attention or being absent in the same way the zero is not there, is just a formality, a place-holder. The first month of Tarot Email Training is worth the thirty bucks for the full celebration of Fool it covers (as well as the bonus book you get).

.

Fool also belongs to the ‘beginning’ and ‘new’ Tarot clans. This is because Fool represents (as the zero, beginning the deck) the nascent stage of anything, the ‘when I was just a twinkle in the eye of my daddy’ phase.

.

Fool is also youthful and optimistic. The picture depicts that invulnerable feeling characteristic of young people: He disregards the cliff’s edge. Sometimes the phrase ‘water off a duck’s back’ suits Fool perfectly. He has faith nothing bad will happen to him. He assumes optimistically.

.

Fool owns the words assume, forget, and unknown – all three of them. Phrases like today’s ‘and never looked back’ and ‘parts unknown’ and ‘address unknown’ are part of that package.

Six of Cups – A warmly dressed little boy gives his little girlfriend flowers in front of some old homes. The picture says some of Six of Cups’ main terms: children and childhood, a safe neighborhood, home and the sweet life. You feel the warm fuzzy mellow tone of this Six of Cups card.

.

Six of Cups is not just childhood but fond old memories, nostalgia, the past, ‘old’ and old-fashioned. It is also trust, and being able to trust some person or scene. Today Six of Cups says ‘a good scene.’

.

.

.

.

 LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

            LEARN TAROT BY PICTURES

…………..…………. …………………….

.

Six of Swords and Fool are both, in different ways, out of a situation: Six of Swords is leaving and putting it behind; Fool was born free. Both these cards refer to consciousness, too: Six of Swords can be about a journey in consciousness, even as a result of having died; Fool represents the subconscious or superconscious.

.

Both Six of Cups and Fool are associated with youth. It’s obvious with Six of Cups: two kids are its illustration. Fool does show a young person too, but it often applies to the youthful qualities of ignoring hazards, reckless living, and assuming nothing bad can happen and all is well with the world: that kind of optimism. Six of Cups is more about the innocence of youth, the sweet life of childhood, memories of the distant past.

.

Both Six of Swords and Fool are on journeys. Six of Swords is leaving one situation for a better one, is on the way somewhere. Fool is simply taking a walk – not leaving anything nor headed anyplace.

.

Now let’s see how the same two cards can mean opposites if you have no context (no question, no surrounding cards to comment or modify):

(1) Six of Swords means ‘off I go into’ and also means ‘leaves.’ Six of Cups is domestic bliss, and is the nest.

Off I go into domestic bliss.

Leaves the nest.

(2) Six of Swords means moving on, and also means leaving something behind now that you’re over it. Fool means a new phase, and it means freedom too. So here we go:

Moving on to a new better phase.

My days of freedom are over.

.

Six of Swords is getting free, is withdrawing from its environment to enter a new and better phase. Fool is feeling no pain, and Six of Swords is getting over theirs.

Both Six of Swords and Fool refer to good times ahead (optimism) in different ways: Six of Swords is putting some bad times behind and the future is better because the past is terrible; Fool is simply free of taking the physical realm too seriously.

Six of Swords and Fool are also both free of (Fool) or getting free of (Six of Swords). They both can refer to a new phase, with Six of Swords phasing out of one thing and into another, and Fool starting something new.

.

Six of Swords and Six of Cups will usually be about one of two things: leaving a bad scene for a good scene (which is Six of Swords’ full meaning, with Six of Cups underlining it); moving on to a good romance, a cozy life (or home), and life will be sweet from now on, OR the reverse: leaving the safe place, not being a kid anymore, and life will be sweet from now on after all (you) have been through.

.

Fool and Six of Cups drop any negative connotation, in the absence of Six of Swords’ meanings. You are now reading two very positive Tarot cards. Phrases like these belong to this pair: happy in that neighborhood, optimistic about my children, the wild blue yonder of domestic bliss, assume home life is sweet, have faith and trust, that was then and this is now, a new optimism about home life. The nearest this pair comes to a negative thought is Fool’s ‘forget’ or ‘forget about’ phrase appended to any of Six of Cups meanings – like forget about your childhood.

. ……. ….. ……. ..

.

AND NOW WITHOUT THE PICTURES:

.

Six of Swords and Fool are both, in different ways, out of a situation: Six of Swords is leaving and putting it behind; Fool was born free. Both these cards refer to consciousness, too: Six of Swords can be about a journey in consciousness, even as a result of having died; Fool represents the subconscious or superconscious.

.

Both Fool and Six of Cups are associated with youth.

My days of freedom are over.

.

.

Sun – The tyke is having the time of his life astraddle a pony bareback, who is annoyed. It’s a hot day and baby escaped nude from the restrictions of the house. One hand carries an unwieldy huge banner; the other is outstretched balancing that and expressing tyke’s joi de vivre. (joy of life). Make that ‘short-lived joi de vivre.’

.

Although Sun can translate words about the boy’s reckless and feckless antics here, never have I seen a word out of Tarot about consequences. Consequences are irrelevant re Sun, Tarot thinks.

.

Sun’s most frequent contributions to your sentences are: to leave or escape or get out of some restriction or restricting place; kid, kids, childhood, youth, young; fun, enjoy, happy, and words like ‘Yay!’ and ‘Whee!’; uninhibited, impulsive, (King of Wands’ words too) and spontaneous.

.

Today we say ‘vacation,’ ‘sunshine,’ and ‘things that held you back.’ Expect to see these every once in a while.

Six of Swords – Six of Swords shows up more than its proportionate share. That’s because it has so many basic applications. Applications that require you to make distinctions and collect nuances. You just have to grit your teeth and get used to Six of Swords meaning both coming and leaving, as well as meaning the trip itself. And grit your teeth some more and get used to Six of Swords meaning all three about time too: from now on (future); as it goes on (present); not anymore (past). Strangely enough, you get used to this and ‘just know’ which applies, most of the time.

.

So here are today’s examples re the coming, going, and the trip: going away, we are getting out of here, moving out of here (the ‘leaving’ theme); coming here (the ‘arriving’ theme); getting to (the ‘trip’ theme).

.

Six of Swords will show up for traveling over water, and for ‘overseas’ too. Watch for it.

.

Another basic and common set of meanings for this Six of Swords card is about the situation improving; about recovering or getting over something.

.

The illustration, of course, explains all these distinctions. A mother and child are escaping from a terrible situation and/or place ‘with the clothes on their backs.’ It’s dusk or dawn, and a frail-looking open boat is their vehicle of escape. A friend (tradition says) is helping them out, and the water is shallow because that’s not a paddle; it’s a pole.

Eight of Wands – It’s like all the meanings of the deck were claimed by other cards, and the leftovers were dumped on Eight of Wands who drew the short straw or came late to the meeting or something. First of all, for no good reason except that’s the way it works, Eight of Wands is the main card for communication, both written and spoken (and any other). Here’s your texting card: the lines.

.

Next, Eight of Wands means ‘increasingly’ (more, more and more) as well as ‘continually’ or ‘over and over.’ It often (like Eight of Pentacles) translates ‘keep’ and ‘keeping’ in the senses of ‘keep it up’ and ‘keeping at it.’ And that includes ‘again,’ because Eight of Wands belongs to that large Tarot clan too.

.

Next, Eight of Wands very often says words like these: all, a lot, all of them, all your, all the things, things, all of us, it all, all at once.

.

Next, Eight of Wands belongs to the fast/rapidly/quickly Tarot clan, as well as translating ‘all of a sudden’ and other ‘sudden’ phrases, along with ‘suddenly.’

.

And Eight of Wands can be ‘news’ too.

.

…………..…………. …………………….

.

Sun and Six of Swords are fraternal-twin cards. They both mean many of the same things. They are all about….leaving a bad situation, place, thing, or person … and ….leaving for a better situation, place, thing or person. Six of Swords says leaving a bad place for one that isn’t as bad and is therefore better. Sun says leaving a place where you were restricted for one where you are free, and also says leaving for a fun time – even a reckless fun time. Both of these cards imply ….relief from a restricting past. So that is the dominant message these three cards make – because Eight of Wands doesn’t add any story elements.

.

This spread is a good example of how, when two cards mean the same thing, your sentence does not have to say it twice. ‘….Putting behind the old limitations’ belongs to both ….Sun and Six of Swords. You’re just doubly sure that’s what Tarot is talking about when you have assigned that to one or the other of this pair. However, you can ‘double-dip’ on that repeated concept to make a sentence with ‘getting over what held you back,’ which you might not translate that way had you had only one of these on board.

.

Sun means child, kid, children, kids, childhood, and even youth and youthful. So we find ourselves saying things like this: Not a kid anymore; children’s lives are improving; putting off having kids, recovering from childhood, and we don’t talk anymore like we did when we were young; a kid all of a sudden; keeps having kids.  The contradictions here are the result of pairing Sun with the other card in the spread.

.

Using Eight of Wands’ speak/tell/say membership, we find happy news;a chat and you’re happy; talk like when we were young.

.

Justice – Easy to apply, most of the time, Justice. When it’s not about a lawyer, lawsuit, legal affair, court, police and police matters, it’s about things being the way they should be – all the words about that. Should. Ought. Right and rightful. Or its about being entitled or deserving.

.

Justice also represents things being okay, with words like these: sane and sanity, sober, normal, rational and realistic.

Queen of Pentacles – You can think of Queen of Pentacles as Nine of Pentacles married. Both these woman (and Queen of Wands too) efficiently and intelligently have their life, their affairs, and their business in order. All three are competent managers. Queen of Pentacles is famous for backing her man, being the (very) loyal wife. Today she is the ‘family woman,’ ‘the woman of the house,’ the mentor, as well as the mama. She may appear as the matriarch of the clan. Queen of Pentacles is running the household and possibly his business, and managing the money. Queen of Pentacles can appear as a bookkeeper.

.

Queen of Pentacles is a ‘take care’ person, the female counterpart of Hermit that way. Taking care of her man, being supportive or even supporting him. Taking care of her family. Taking care of business. Queen of Pentacles specifically is skilled, is able … can do. She can handle: That is a very frequent Queen of Pentacles phrase.

.

An offshoot of all this managing Queen of Pentacles does is her investing and contributing meanings. Queen of Pentacles is an astute businesswoman.

.

Possessing is also a Queen of Pentacles category of meaning. She possesses; she has assets. Today she says ‘keep what is yours’ and ‘she has money.’ But here’s what to keep in mind about our lady: She can be possessive. The possessive wife or girl friend, or mother. She can appear as that too-loyal my-kid-can-do-no-wrong mama.

.

Six of Swords – Six of Swords, you see it everywhere. It comes up more than its share of times. Which is good because it has more than its share of very common meanings. And we have to sort them out. There are distinctions. You will get to where you ‘just know’ after a while.

.

The picture illustrates getting out of a difficult situation or place, but Six of Swords does not always apply as escaping with the clothes on your back as you see in the picture. In real-life layouts, the emphasis is often on simply leaving. Today phrases like these express that side of Six of Swords: you leaving, departed, geeing out of there, leave town with her kid, move away from there.

.

When the emphasis is on getting out of difficulty or putting bad times behind, phrases like today’s appear: gets out of difficulties; gets the family out of difficulty; put the bad times behind; gets people out of trouble; the worst is over; put his past behind and gets on with it.

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

                       LEARN TAROT BY PICTURES

…………..…………. ……………………. ………………………

.

Here we have three unrelated Tarot cards. Unrelated cards tend to be stories, as you may remember. Queen of Pentacles is the center of the action because what she is able to do (one of her main meanings) gets the situation out of a problem area into something better (the main meaning for Six of Swords), and Justice indicates these things are going in a sane, right direction they should be going. ‘The right direction’ and ‘going in the right direction’ are classic Justice-and-Six of Swords phrases. Note that Justice supplies ‘ right,’ and Six of Swords supplies ‘ going in the direction.’

.

So let’s talk about Justice and Six of Swords . They mate, often, in a spread, to indicate an improving situation or reform. Here are typical translates to keep in the back of your mind for this pair: going in the right direction; should leave, or ought to get out of there; move away for a more normal life; a better life now that (whoever) is realistic; getting sober. But once in a while, in violation of Six of Swords’ usual theme of things getting better, Justice and Six of Swords can say ‘ not sensible anymore’ or ‘taking leave of his/her/its senses.’ That’s rare, and the story line would be established by the rest of the spread, the history, and the question itself.

.

Queen of Pentacles and Justice will often access Queen of Pentacles’ ‘ possess’ meaning. You are Queen of Pentacles and Justice when you possess your sobriety or possess your sanity. This pair of cards also commonly translates ‘the right way to handle.’

.

Queen of Pentacles and Six of Swords will often make a story about Queen of Pentacles’ skill at handling (whatever) makes it better. For example “ In her skilled hands, business improves.” Six of Cups is about the improvement. Queen of Pentacles contributes two of its meanings in that sentence: ‘ in her skilled hands,’ of course, but also ‘ business,’ since being the astute businesswoman is another category of Queen of Pentacles skill meanings. She can be a bookkeeper.

.

Queen of Pentacles can also be an investor, a donor or contributor (to a cause, say), a backer. In real Tarot life, there are other cards that more strongly, more usually, refer to investing. Queen of Pentacles tends to appear as ‘ investing’ when the story is already about what a woman is doing with money.

.

At the very end of the three-card posts on this site are the sentences with one card removed. Visitors who study Tarot will pick up insights there. ‘Oh, THAT’S what it would mean without that other card’ or ‘Oh, THAT’S what those two can say together.’ Today is a better-than-usual source of insight there.

.

Emperor Esoterically, Four is associated with being the end stage, the finished product, the state of having arrived, the ultimate status. Along with those characteristics come concepts like Daddy, powerful, boss, authority, the ultimate influence as the head man (or entity). This is how Emperor comes to mean federal; federal is the ultimate status of power politically. And while we’re at it, note how many countries have called their leader ‘il papa’ or other terms of fatherhood.

.

The end stage is elderly, so Emperor is the old man. Characteristics of old age therefore attach to Emperor: the rigid, controlling, stubborn, set-in-his-ways old geezer.

.

Emperor as the head of the family, as Daddy, includes settling down. And, by the way, if you ask if somebody is the father (of the baby or whomever), Emperor is a definite ‘yes.’

Lovers Lovers is a many-splendored Tarot card. Its one that has quite a few meanings that are related only by its illustration. Elsewhere, I have expounded upon its spectrum, but today we use two of its most basic applications plus two words.

.

The title and the nude couple in the pic tell you that love and love-related themes have a home in Lovers – of course they do. Here’s today’s phrases for that theme: he fell in love; is in love; whom she loved; and then there was you; with this love partner; close relationships; a love affair with; He is in love; a love affair; you fall in love with; she falls in love with.

.

Lovers is all about connection and contact too. Connection, today – and here are today’s phrases for that theme: you are close to; his connection to; now that you are with; is in touch with us; with his partner; that he has an equal; in touch with; connecting up with. Notice the ‘with’: Lovers’ terms often include the ‘with’ because it is about two people. Being about two people also brings Lovers plural pronouns – ‘they’ today, but ‘we’ and ‘us’ and ‘them’ also belong here.

.

The fact the angel is above the couple and connecting with them (I think this is the angel that evicted them – Adam and Eve of course – from their garden home.) brings some other elements to Lovers’ dictionary. ‘Higher-ups,’ meaning supervisors or ‘your betters,’ for one. Also protection and insurance because the angel ‘has them covered’ or ‘has their backs.’ These last two meanings seem far-fetched, but, yes, you will find your cards talking like this – or at least a number of us Tarot Verbatim-ites has found this to be so. [Meanings in Tarot Verbatim are discovered in use (‘in the field’), not made up or deduced.]

Six of Swords Story: Leaving a bad place, leaving your possessions behind like a refugee ‘with the clothes on your back,’ and heading to a better place – better maybe only because this place is so bad. Assumption is that, yes, they do get to this better place, so life is improving, is not as bad as it used to be. So Six of Swords is both despair and hope, leaving behind and moving on up. Six of Swords is also avoiding something.

.

Here’s the thing you have to remember with Tarot Verbatim’s™ Six of Swords: in your spread, the emphasis can be on the leaving (getting out); on the journey (on our way); on the improvement (better days); on avoiding (the great escape); on ‘things aren’t as bad as they used to be.’ Emphasis can be upon the leaving, the journey, or the arriving. Or all three: Six of Swords means ‘relocating’ all by itself. Six of Swords can be yesterday or tomorrow.

.

One thing Six of Swords will never be is ‘the good old days.’ The past, here, is the regrettable past, the ordeal that life was.

.

.

.

.

.

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

                  LEARN TAROT BY PICTURES

…………..…………. …………………….

.

First thing I see here is ‘ leaving your lover’ or ‘ lover is leaving,’ which is a common issue in Tarot inquiries, so I was amazed that Lovers and Six of Swords do not appear as a pair in a Google Tarot Verbatim™ search, and appear only once in a search of my computer. Hmm. Lovers and Six of Swords also mean a lot of other things too. Here are some common ones besides the exit of a love life or lover: finally in love; is in love and puts the past behind; life is so much better for us; a connection is drawing to a close; things aren’t as bad now that we are together; they see you on your way to greater things; isn’t in touch anymore; departed loved one; you and partner heading for a better situation; drifting away from a relationship; now that he has an equal, he isn’t (whatever) anymore; avoids a love affair; is in love, so is no longer (whatever); not in touch anymore, avoiding contacting; avoiding connecting with; life improves when you fall in love; relocate when you fall in love.

.

Applying Six of Swords to your story, there are things to keep in mind. Look at the lay of the land in the other cards first. Is the story about a good thing coming (say, you see Three of Wands, Nine of Cups, or one of the cards that mean happy or celebration)? Or is it about leaving a bad scene, getting over a bad experience? These determine which Six of Swords phrases fit.

.

Six of Swords can mean developing or heading toward something – like ‘he’s getting old’ with Emperor, because the people in the boat are going to a better place. Six of Swords can also say ‘He’s no longer old’ or ‘isn’t an old man anymore,’ because Six of Swords means withdrawing from, putting something behind. Yes, these are opposite meanings to keep in the back of your mind. That’s because this card can emphasize the leaving, the journey, or the arriving at the better place.

.

Keep in mind things aren’t as bad anymore in Six of Swords, that life is improving because the people are leaving this place for a better place.

.

Emperor, like King of Swords, has few meanings, and you tend to get stuck for what to say when you interpret him. He’s old: You got that. But old expands to a lot of categories: daddy and the boss; rigid or controlling, or stubborn; mature; old-fashioned; conservative; an established man; the authority on something, or the Authority; influential; a head-of-the-family man; seniority or experienced; even being a grownup.

.

Quite apart from its ‘ old man’ vibe, Emperor represents a dictatorial personality, a rigid person, a controlling person. Any gender, any age.

.

In addition to its people-meanings, Emperor is federal – federal-anything, because federal is the most powerful political level. Emperor is settling down, Emperor is a later stage in life, or even in an enterprise. An old established corporation typically isn’t growing fast, for example: It is in the later stage of corporate life.

.

Emperor can represent something chronic, something permanent, as well as something established. You don’t want to see Emperor in most medical questions, unless the story involves an Emperor person.

.

Something that is very established and/or has been that way for a long time is now moving or developing in one direction or another, and that applies to the two people Lovers can represent, or the connection Lovers can represent.

. ……. ….. …….      ..

But old expands to a lot of categories: daddy and the boss; rigid or controlling, or stubborn; mature; old-fashioned; conservative; an established man; the authority on something, or the Authority; influential; a head-of-the-family man; seniority or experienced; even being a grownup.

.

Quite apart from its ‘old man’ vibe, Emperor represents a dictatorial personality, a rigid person, a controlling person.

Being old and being in love after all that: That’s our contemplation today. To be after we have been: That is our quest. I used to be so hard-driving – and then there was you. Mellowing out in my old age is disrupted by connecting up with a lively interest in a companion. Hallelujah. I’m on to the next!

Tarot Readings for You for July 4, 2018 Wednesday© Email

Here’s a special Wednesday treat for all of you who do your own Tarot using this site as a library of combined meanings of Tarot cards. The treat is a peek into why your question should include pertinent factors that the cards are not precise about. The big factors are dates, person(s), and time.

Ask ‘who did it’ and you get a description you may not recognize. Ask the motive of who did it, and you will get a description of the scene that usually tells you whodunit. Don’t ask ‘when’ about anything because Tarot is mass-consciousness based ‘out there’ or ‘in there’ somewhere, and isn’t earthbound with clocks and calendars. Instead, you ask ‘Will X happen in Y time?’ as I call it. Not ‘When will he call?’ but ‘Will he call this week?’ That converts the question into a yes-or-no one which Tarot will answer well (or pretty well) giving details that are applicable (cogent).

First thing here is the question I did answer for our client ‘as modified.’ She wants to know ‘what a relationship is going to become,’ not specifying the relationship. Tarot Verbatim is fine (is excellent, really) with that. With no background, however, once the cards talk about marriage and leaving or switching, you as the reader don’t know who’s who. The answer is to be from Client’s perspective, but you don’t know which position Client occupies unless that is in the ‘history.’ And there’s no history required in these cold Email readings. This is why the instructions on the Email Reading tab suggest saying whether love interest is married

I wrote Client, and when she did not respond right away, simply modified the question to include just Dude and her. That is the first set of spreads you see.

Then Client answers with history and perspectives. Tarot did rise to the occasion in its answer.

THEN I include the original set of cards which are confusing to apply if you don’t know the history. Now, you can put these together and see how to handle this – how to phrase a general relationship question which gives no identity of parties or background.

If you subscribe to Tarot Email Training, you know things like this about doing readings and forming questions. Click Here to try that out.

You can also get email readings just like these for a mere $18.75. (Sometimes you wait. These are underpriced because I love doing them, so other parts of the work come first, AND the email readings require peace-and-quiet which isn’t scheduled on my calendar (or yours?).

And by the way, you can also call for a telephone reading and ask that the pertinent cards be identified and explained for you. I do a lot of that.

Question: What will I see this relationship situation actually become in the real world in the next, say, three months?

Note the last cards of the last three spreads are about marriage: King of Wands is the husband card in Tarot Verbatim™; Queen of Wands, the wife card; Ten of Cups, one of two good marriage cards.

Emily writes to Client, re the first set of spreads:

This looks like a married man who has ‘the other woman.’  And it looks like that stressed guy you can’t make up his mind but is being affectionate.

If I type up what I have, it may not make sense without me knowing who’s who.

I will wait a while for you to respond, and write these spreads down, and ask the question again limiting the answer to just him and you.

Client writes to Emily re the above Note:

Hi Emily,

Thank you for this.

He is not married, but recently divorced with all sorts of drama with manipulative ex and 2 very manipulative/manipulated kids.

In this sense, even though we are very much in a committed relationship (it’s been almost 2 years, and we met well after his separation but during the final months of divorce litigation), I guess I am the other woman because of all the claws and fangs still gripping him and pulling him in directions his heart does not agree with?

I should add that he has said many time that he will “never get married again”… perhaps he is conflicted about that belief and the prospect of me walking away from him and the drama that he may have to continue to deal with for the next several years…

Emily writes to Client,

This thread of conversation here is a perfect example of the limitations of verbatim Tarot – a perfect example of what should be put in a question to get a focused answer (because the question best contains what the cards are likely to be imprecise about).

I am thinking of publishing it along with the original spread that I replaced when I asked another question limiting the answer to ‘just you and he.’

How do you feel about that?  Your name isn’t mentioned, of course.

Client writes to Emily

Sure, go for it.  Thanks!

Wheel of Fortune

Wheel of Fortune doesn’t often use its deeper meaning, which is true of a lot of these Rider Waite Tarot cards. In ordinary practice, Wheel of Fortune mainly means these things, as it does today exclusively: (1) Your Chance; Opportunity; Miracle. (2) Better; Best; and sometimes Good. (3) Happen (all forms of this word). (4) Luck; Lucky; Fantastic, Wonderful. (It often translates, simply, ‘wonderful. (5) Gamble, Take Chances, Gambling. (6) Pays off, Payoff, Windfall, Jackpot, etc.

Wheel of Fortune subtly makes the point that coincidence, timing, is destiny. (Today it translates ‘just in time to.’) Google ‘Wheel of Fortune, Tarot Verbatim’ for a complete explanation of the details of Wheel of Fortune’s deeper meaning. It is saying that nonphysical entities, both divine and infernal, affect human affairs through coincidence, through chance. The illustration includes God’s name in Hebrew, its letters alternated with a word (rota) that means ‘Wheel of Fortune.’ The funky critters outside the roulette-wheel-looking central design represent spirit influences, most of them not-so-good ones.

The other cards in today’s spread bend Wheel of Fortune to mundane physical applications. Wheel of Fortune is good things happening, and both of them are about the good life, each in its own way.

Two of Wands

Here’s an anchor card for you: one that has few, well-defined meanings that blend easily with a number of other cards, so that they make figuring out your spread easier and faster. Two of Wands really has only three main categories of meaning: (1) future, and future tenses; (2) financial words and business words; (3) plan.

First of all, it’s kinda weird, but this Two of Wands card most of the time will translate future words like these: will, it will be or will be, will have, going to, going to be, do well to, is coming. Those are all from today’s spread, with duplicates eliminated. It also translates the word ‘future’ and its synonyms, which include words like: outlook, prognosticate, prognosis, foretell, projection (when it is used as future outlook), forecast. And more, of course. In this category, Two of Wands shares many of Three of Wands’ words and phrases.

You see a wealthy real estate magnate who owns the town. He is planning how to wrest more profit from his real estate holdings below, as he looks them over from atop his castle. Note he ‘has the world in his hands’ there. So remember that the word ‘plan’ rests mainly with Two of Wands.

Two of Wands has all sorts of business words and applications, including being a rich Somebody. It especially refers to financial security, a secure position, being well-off or wealthy, bank and banker, bank accounts, investment, money in the bank, mortgage, real estate, profit, financial success, the wealthy class, and even the Establishment. It translates the word ‘business’ and can refer to financial plans, budgets, etc.

Six of Swords

Best think ‘transition’ when you see this card! You see a woman and a child evacuating town without possessions, leaving in a small open paddleboat on an overcast day, at dawn or dusk most likely. Traditionally, the man is a helper, not family, and traditionally, they are going to a better place (partly because it could hardly be worse).

Six of Swords is very flexible and therefore a tricky Tarot card to apply. Generally, things are getting better. Six of Swords can be hope and it can be despair. Six of Swords can be past, present, future, or all the above at once. Six of Swords can be leaving, can be on the way, and can be arriving. Fit it into the story, into the other cards, into the question. Remember that any and all the elements, and any and all the characters, in your Tarot potentially apply to your spread. That is especially true of Six of Swords!

More often than not, Six of Swords emphasizes leaving, getting out, withdrawing, being left, what you got out of, what you are getting out of, and that you left – and more such words and phrases.

Six of Swords emphasizes putting the past behind – the past itself, not necessarily a place. Here are today’s phrases reminiscent of that: and the past is over with; to put this whole thing behind me; not anymore; he used to be; not as bad as it was; situation isn’t _ anymore. Note the ‘not anymore’ phrase because you often find another card putting another word (or words) in between them, and that word can be anything at all. Not successful anymore, not stuck anymore, etc.

Next, Six of Swords is heading toward, and heading toward improved conditions. Today it says ‘greener pastures,’ which I think is a fine title for this card. Today it says ‘recover’ once. The more direct phrases for Six of Swords in this category are: and you are on your way; that gets you on your way; move on; headed toward being.

A lot of cards mean ‘to avoid,’ and Six of Swords is one of them. It means that fairly frequently.

Once in a while Six of Swords is about traveling over water or being in a boat – even a cruise ship. And watch for it to mean ‘overseas,’ especially in inquiries about job opportunities or the whereabouts of someone. So Six of Swords can be your nautical card.

Another odd application of Six of Swords is ‘the departed.’ Since the people are departing, that’s obvious. Six of Swords can be mourning the departed, feeling left behind. The picture also reminds you of the myths about the dead being paddled to the afterlife by a god in his boat.

Now Without The Pictures

Wheel of Fortune is the lucky break, the good fortune, that got Six of Swords to Two of Wands. You can also say the opportunity in Wheel of Fortune is the way Two of Wands is in his financially secure position. (Six of Swords is the journey between the two.) Most of our stories are about leaving, and better times ahead.

Wheel of Fortune and Two of Wands share financial wealth applications. Wheel of Fortune is windfall, lucky break, hitting the jackpot. Two of Wands is financial security and business wealth – being the solid citizen. Conceivably, the distinction between ‘old money’ is Two of Wands and ‘new money’ is Wheel of Fortune. Snobs only respect old money, you know.

Two of Wands and Six of Swords are both future-oriented cards. In Six of Swords, the future is going to be better; Two of Wands means the future, and it means wealth – business wealth, financial security, money in the bank, money in real estate, money in investments. So you can say Two of Wands’ future is now, from a Six of Swords perspective. Two of Wands translates ‘look forward to’ among its many ‘future’ meanings.

Financial security is happening gradually when you combine Two of Wands, wealth, and Six of Swords, ‘heading in that direction,’ and is happening suddenly in Wheel of Fortune.

Two of Wands with Wheel of Fortune says the future is wonderful. Two of Wands and Six of Swords suggest a dismal scene that will get better.

.

Nine of Pentacles Home has a special meaning when you have been all over and done everything in the world, when you have a name for yourself that reflects whoever-the-heck you are. That is Mrs. Nine of Pentacles all over! There she is at home minding the vineyard with her falcon, in her elegant robe, a snail at her feet to remind us she does things in her own good time.

.

While this Tarot card very often speaks of the independent woman, the self-sufficient single lady who has some sort of niche or business of her own, Nine of Pentacles also stands for living well (as you prefer), being content with whatever circumstances you find yourself in, being comfortable and confident, it also stands for minding your own business and being detached. Nine of Pentacles has aplomb, a good old-fashioned word for the likes of her. (Or him, sometimes: Nine of Pentacles represents the situation and the type of person, not just the woman you see – but Nine of Pentacles is often a woman.)

Six of Swords You see a single woman and a child leaving like refugees, huddled in an open skiff on a wet day. Tradition says the man paddling the little boat is not family but a helper.

.

One thing you must know about Six of Swords: It can focus on leaving and the place left; it can focus on the travel or the process, the becoming; it can focus on the destination; it can focus on all of those things at once. So the emotional tone of Six of Swords can be dejected, or hopeful, or factual. The whole story involves leaving a bad place for a better place, improving, becoming. Most often, you find Six of Swords emphasizing what is left behind, or the leaving itself.

.

Six of Swords can translate ‘the departed’ and ‘passed on’ although it isn’t really a card about death. It can also be mourning, and of course depression. The picture recalls myths about the boatman who takes souls to the spirit world, and Six of Swords once in a while translates being on a ship or going over water.

Hanged Man Hanged Man reflects a number of myths in which the star character (god or hero) hangs himself on a tree, usually for three days, and sacrifices part of himself to a god for a favor: psychic wisdom. Enlightenment.

.

Hanged Man’s main meanings refer to knowing and to the subconsciousness – the psychic awareness. Hanged Man’s main translates are: realize, know, remember, see, ‘catch on’ or ‘get it.’ A thought strikes. It also is about an idea, especially a brilliant idea.

.

Hanged Man describes an intense experience, intense emotion. Here, it gives your layout words like: urge, inspired, turns on or turn-on, and the word ‘intense.’

Glancing at these three Rider Waite Tarot cards, if you are familiar with the most common translates for them, says ‘ Once you get it, you are on your way to living the good life.’

.

Hanged Man’s picture expresses the intense feeling you have when a flock of dots that have been fomenting in the back of your mind, the subconscious, suddenly unite in a flash and dive onto center stage of your conscious mind in the real world. You feel upside-down, blood rushing to your head, and disoriented. A thought strikes … hits you over the head forcefully. Hanged Man is that kind of awareness, and we all have experienced this ‘ lipstick on the collar’ or ‘ I coulda had a V-8’ moment.

.

Six of Swords’ picture expresses the feelings of transition, all of them. It expresses being in the process; it expresses becoming. At the same time, you feel the old situation or old self that is being put behind; the ongoing movement through unfamiliar territory that is the journey; and the focus on arriving at a better place as you put the past one behind and aside.

.

Nine of Pentacles is the arrival: being home, being in a place you belong, a place that’s yours, that you are comfortable in and are the director of.

GET A SINGLE CARD’S MEANINGS: TYPE ITS NAME AND ‘TAROT VERBATIM’ INTO GOOGLE

.

Judgment Its picture spawns a thousand words and phrases. We use a variety today. Today the change ones, and the ones about coming, are featured because Judgment’s companion Six of Swords also means both heading in a direction, and a change for the better.

.

Judgment means news and publicity: the horn makes an announcement for all to react to. News flash. The announcement puts Judgment into the speak/tell/say Tarot tribe, so we have these: tells you; The Talk; calls.

.

The loud noise of the angel’s horn becomes any loud noise, especially an alarm of any sort, which includes a shout (‘holler’) as well as a siren, an alarm, or even the noon whistle in a small town.

.

The people being alive again brings Judgment the word ‘again’ and its synonyms like ‘once more’ or ‘one more time.’ The newly alive people have recovered; have gone back to normal; have changed for the better, so Judgment owns these themes too, and they sometimes translate ‘shift.’ The people in the coffins are coming back to life, so Judgment often translates: coming back, coming, another is coming. They are recovering from being dead, and Judgment is your card for recovery especially from a serious illness or a bad life experience.

.

Seeing an angel blowing a horn that awakens the dead is a surprise, a revelation a realization, a discovery, an epiphany, an awakening. Judgment is the leading card for words like that, and Hanged Man shares many of them.

.

Judgment also describes getting a bright idea, realizing something, being reminded of something.

Six of Swords A place you are in becomes so disgusting that losing everything you have is a net benefit when you leave it. Six of Swords says things like: anything is better than this; tomorrow is another day; off I go into the wild blue yonder; steal away; getting over it; situation is improving, a better life is ahead, been down so long it looks like up to me, been there done that, going through changes, escape.

.

Six of Swords is about travel of course, and specifically over water (or even across water). A large body of water esoterically indicates consciousness (and mass consciousness) so Six of Swords is about going through a stage of personal or spiritual development, leaving the ‘old self’ behind. Note the refugee figures have no baggage. Six of Swords is also ‘the departed’ and mourning being left behind when someone ‘passes.’ This illustration reminds one of both Greek and Egyptian myth about being ferried from the physical world to the nonphysical.

.

In Six of Swords, we are on the way; we are not in either or any place. The die is cast but has not landed to show its number: transition! So Six of Swords is what is underway, what is going to be. It is ‘getting over it’ regarding some event that is no longer the focus: recovery. So the mood of Six of Swords is both dejected and hopeful: things getting better because they can’t get worse. This is the card, of course, for rehabilitation, for getting on with life after being disabled.

.

Six of Swords’ application is past or present or future. The present in the journey, the transition. The past focus is on the escape, the leaving or avoiding, the ‘leave’ and the ‘put behind’ parts. The future is about the arrival or destination. Today the future is ‘heading into’ and ‘moving on up.’ Note the mood of most of the ‘past’ focus is sad; of most of the future focus is upbeat and hopeful; of the present is factual as in ‘on the way.’

.

Watch for Six of Swords to translate ‘avoid’ often. This can be advise to ‘duck out’ of a situation.

Ace of Wands The hand with a club in it makes for simple meanings, doesn’t it? – just as the hand with the double-edged sword does. Ace of Wands and Ace of Swords are brothers. The idea of force is upfront, and the most common translate for Ace of Wands is ‘have to’ as well as ‘make’ when that word means force. (“Make me!) Ace of Wands also is about threat, whether making the threat or being threatened.

.

Ace of Wands resembles a penis, and it has that ‘number one’ aspect to it: big, important, main, major, necessary. Naturally it has some sexual interpretations like sex and sexuality today.

.

Certainly, certainty, and ‘for sure’ are Ace of Wands meanings too.

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

                LEARN TAROT BY PICTURES..

.. ….. …       .

.

Judgment pictures the resurrection scene of Christian vision, with the angel and the trumpet, and people standing up in their coffins. Main meanings are to change, again, the second time, suddenly, to go back to a former state, to recover or rejuvenate (almost any ‘ re’ concept). A whole new life. A big announcement or publicity. To speak up or speak out. To shout. A loud noise.

.

Let’s get out of here and go to a better space” Six of Swords suggests. Things will be better, they can’t get any worse. With time, the situation will be better. A woman and child are leaving with the clothes on their backs, with the help of a friend. They are going to have a better life.

.

Note that Six of Swords and Judgment both are about a death. Six of Swords translates ‘ the departed,’ because that journey over water of broken-spirited people suggests that, and because, well, they are departing and leaving home behind. Six of Swords also is about grieving – being left behind and feeling sad. And Judgment, of course shows coffins and obviously is about life after death.

.

Six of Swords and Judgment are about a change for the better, and are about going from one place, or one state of being, to another.

.

Six of Swords and Judgment are both about recovering, especially from sickness or emotional trauma. Six of Swords is getting over it as you leave it behind, feeling drained and down about whatever it was back there. Judgment is a quick recovery and focuses on the new phase, the new life that is happening. Both Six of Swords and Judgment are about a better life.

.

The main meaning of Ace of Wands, a raised club that looks like a penis, is must – the imperative. ‘ You gotta,’ it says. ‘ Achievement’ and ‘ absolutely’ are other main words for Ace of Wands, and ‘ for sure’ or ‘ assured.’ It is also sex (especially re males) and force or being aggressive or assertive (hand with a board in it, yes). That’s an order. It is also primacy so it reads ‘ number one,’ ‘ the main one,’ and ‘ the most important,’ etc.

.

Judgment and Six of Swords are a change and a new life. Both are a better new life. Both are leaving the old life behind. Judgment has the new life ( resurrection and regeneration) as its main meaning. It speaks of a quick change. Its tone is one of joy. The change it speaks of is sudden, even surprising. Look for it to indicate bodily healing and quick recovery – ‘ bouncing back.’ Six of Swords, on the other hand, is about a more gradual and far less dramatic change. It emphasizes getting out of the bad place or situation, and life will be better when you get there because it cannot get worse. Its emphasis is on escape and putting the past (the cargo) behind. The escape that is pictured is with help, and often that is the case when Six of Swords appears. It can advise you to head off in a different direction (even referring to the map). Its tone is often one of depression (when the past is emphasized) and of hope when the future is emphasized. It too indicates recovery from illness, but usually a gradual recovery.

.

Note that, once more, we have two cards whose meanings are similar, and one that is a stranger to those meanings.

Can you hear it coming? – a shift is underway and it’s carrying us with it to new territory. This is transition time and we have to go along with its wave because it’s the new consciousness. I hear it like an alarm for evacuation saying I’ve got to be on my way and leave the familiar scene behind because it’s old and outworn. ‘Bye.
