Tarot Readings for You for September 13, 2014 Saturday(c)

Guidance Heading toward waking up but refusing to get up as the sun comes busting through the window. That's what it's like when we don't get it because we don't want to get it. That's what it's like as my mind drifts into places I don't want to go, places where flashes of insight turn into indelible enlightenment. I can't put the dream behind – it is burned onto the screen in the back of my mind. “I don't want to know; I just want to leave here for someplace better,” I tell the steering whee...

Tarot Readings for You for August 19, 2014 Tuesday(c)

Guidance Here we are talking about belonging, and not belonging, again. Today's emphasis is on: Put a few humans together, and there's a clash and someone is on the outs with the others. Sometimes it's just tribal instinct. Sometimes it's because you ain't their kind, or they ain't yours. Sometimes somebody said or did something that isn't gospel around here. Sometimes it's their values you rebel against, or vice versa – and this is often felt as a morality issue. These clashes - which are me...

Tarot Readings for You for August 2, 2014 Saturday(c)

Guidance The mind churns on like an ocean, its subtle randomness punctuated by the breaking of its frothy flow onto the hard soil of shore. Awareness of our own mental processes is only subliminal most of the time, until the wave hits the shore and we have a … maybe bright … idea right there in the head we do keep track of. We form solid plans and we make our life better out of pieces of information we pick up here and there. A psychic undercurrent runs right along with the other liquids, ...

Tarot Readings for You for July 23, 2014 Wednesday(c)

Guidance Friends form our days, and our days form our lives, so Tarot is suggesting an audit and inventory of our circle. We describe changing the people in our lives (lovers, friends, family, and at work) to suit changes in our tastes or in ourselves. Relocating is a wholesale re-stocking of the roster, and is also a way to add someone who isn't nearby. While we're at it, we point out that people who have good friends are good friends, and that we go out of our way for someone who does th...

Tarot Readings for You for July 13, 2014 Sunday(c)

Guidance The currents take our personal boat into and out of all sorts of water and weather conditions, take us gradually or quickly into and out of hazards. It's call life journey, you know? Tarot Readings for You for May 20, 2014 Tuesday(c)

Guidance Financially, the worst is over for us, we say. We talk about success and about finances in terms of staying and in terms of leaving 'where you are,' which could be physical location, or could be the career or job you are now associated with. Then we also say that it's when you no longer need success … or a person … that it comes to you. So we balance detachment and the pursuit of happiness delicately here today. The gist is that all is well, however it happens. A...

Tarot Readings for You for May 13, 2014 Tuesday(c)

Guidance When you are in an unjust situation, you have choices. We examine those today. You can gripe and stay; you can refuse to be aggravated; you can make complaints and demands and leave. You can see it coming and prevent it. You can also say it's not really bad enough to complain about. We taste all the flavors of this scenario, I think – things like “That was a long time ago, and I'm not hurting about it anymore” and “I refuse to be an old lady; I'm headed in a better direction....

Tarot Readings for You for April 28, 2014 Monday(c)

Guidance We all want to get ahead one way or another. No matter where you are going, there are things to trip over if you aren't looking. We focus on people who are dead weights; why is it so easy to be generous to them? Half the mileage is saved if we don't go out of our way pick up hitchhikers. But they are so cute …. Guidance Fair exchanges. The worker is due his or her pay. We pay the bills we incur. Tarot extends this concept to giving each person we deal with his or her due, every time, even when no one's lookin'. Ancient Egyptians felt Destiny deals a person the same hand that person deals other beings. Pay your workers, both money and respect. In relationship, do your part as agreed fair and square. It's not just about morality and reputation; it's about your spiritual health. And ju...
