LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

.

Sun is leaving the place; High Priestess is staying put. Sun is a baby or child that she is staying home with.

High Priestess is passive; Seven of Wands is aggressive.

Nine of Cups and Sun both involve happiness.

Nine of Cups says one party (at least) is totally pleased and satisfied: She has exactly what she wants. The lady High Priestess is not acting, Sun is having fun, is free, and is a child or baby;

Seven of Wands is pushing and struggling.

These are the elements out of which we spin our story for the day.

LEARN TAROT BY PICTURES

Sun is a kid having fun recklessly, uninhibitedly, is free and charming. Illustration in Rider Waite show a child on a smirking pony at high noon out in the back yard naked with a huge banner flag in one hand.

High Priestess is knowing, is passive, stays put, is a lady. Her illustration in Rider Waite Tarot shows all the trappings of Kabbalah, the book of knowledge, in her lap, and her serene alert expression. She sits upright.

Seven of Wands struggles, pushes, protests, raises hell. Those are its meanings we use today anyway. He is pictured defending himself against several neighbors who are invading his land.

Nine of Cups is the ‘Your wish is granted’ Tarot citizen. This is the dream come true, this is what you want. Illustration shows a heavyset fella looking mighty satisfied, he seems to have drunk all those huge cups on his mantle, to have stuffed himself, and has that feeling we get on Thanksgiving in the U. S.

EXPLANATIONS: [Use the arrow at lower right to skip this and go to Comments.]

All the words of each Tarot card reading you see here are a phrase-by-phrase translation of the scene pictured on those cards: no filler, no psychic impressions, no spirit guide. Word-for-word Tarot Verbatim(TM).

In these group readings, there’s no question (and no Questioner) to limit what the four cards can mean, so they can mean opposite things.

When there is a negative-meaning card (a ‘negator,’ I call them), the readings contradict one another because that card can make any of the other cards in the spread negative. Negator cards mean things like: no, never, not, end, can’t, etc. Never be queasy about the number of ‘bad’ card because it takes two bad cards to say ‘not dead’ and only one to say ‘dead.’

Without a question or a Questioner, pronouns (I, you, he, she, we, they, etc.) are very flexible. I leave out pronouns in writing this as much as possible – awkward to do that sometimes. When I put them in parentheses, feel very free to change them around to suit yourself.

Now in a ‘real’ individual reading, the questioner asks a specific question which provides at least half the information! In an individual’s reading, the parties are identified and sometimes a time frame is too. Here, in a group reading, we cannot do that and so we get more variety of sentences.

Horoscopes are group readings, too. Astrology is based on someone else’s birth data, though, so a ‘solar’ group horoscope never really solidly applies to you! (Astrologers want you to know this!)

Tarot successfully addresses the group of visitors, whoever they are. It provides useful information that applies to their daily lives: They tell you this in the comments, for three years now. Tarot can tell you things about people you don’t know personally – such as whoever on your job has a say in your raise or continued employment there, whether that is one person or many. Visitors report that the information is equally accurate for new visitors as it is for the family of regular visitors.

Do you want to read Rider Waite Tarot, yourself? Start with Learn Tarot by Pictures to get the day’s cards’ individual meanings; then read Learn Tarot by Observation, which gives you the thinking those four cards inspire in a qualified reader. Next, Group Analytical Tarot Cards Reading is the various things those four cards can say (without a question to guide them). Then, Guidance is a summary.

In this way, your intuition allows you to learn to read the cards without much effort if you come often enough. Regular visitors can just put it together.

Advice has interesting parallels.  Sex lives,  spiritual lives,  and being knowledgeable at work are on the same track in this reading!  ‘Knowledge is power’  is expressed by the same two cards that say  ‘Sex with the Other Woman.’  Knowledge is power,  and spiritual knowledge is freedom.  Women who stay at home have to get out and have some fun sometime.  And we have the sexy fella who delivers to them if they don’t get out.

Is this the first time you come here?  Well … what to do:

*Go to Advice above which is a summary of the Messages.  (Advice is everyone’s favorite part.)

*Go to Daily Message Tarot Analysis below.  One or more of those sentences has something to say to you.  Intuitively pick those out.  They are about you and the people around you.  They are about today and the days around it.  (It  is a group message like a horoscope,  except Tarot isn’t based on someone else’s birth data,  so it can be specific,  accurate,  detailed and direct.  Our experiment here is  “How much more accurate is it?”)

Did you come here for your predictions? –  You are done now –  See you tomorrow.

Without a question to focus the answer,  four cards can mean contradictory things especially when the Spread has a card that negates other cards.  Without a question also the pronouns in a group reading are more flexible,  especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads.  When a pronoun is in parentheses,  feel very free to substitute.  The question in a ‘real’ individual reading supplies at least half the information!

DAILY MESSAGE TAROT ANALYSIS

Tell the visitors here something useful and meaningful to them.

His wife is a ‘back seat driver’ which doesn’t get in his way at all.

He is enjoying sex with his wife and another woman.

His wife gives him an ultimatum about the other woman,  his recreation.

Both these women are having an affair with the boy and enjoying it.

The other woman gives him an ultimatum to leave his wife.

A single woman has to get out and be seen in fun places to become a wife.

The girl friend she goes out with gets married,  so the single woman is forced to sit home.

Both of the women have enjoyable sex lives at home.

His wife is an expert in keeping the playboy in line.

He is a sexy boy toy to women who who don’t get out that much.

He delivers fun sex to woman right at their homes.

Married woman keeps sex with a young guy her secret.

Business Perspective

As the manager and leading expert in her niche,  she ‘writes her own ticket.’

She has such a command of this one subject that she is free to go anywhere,  any time.

She has such a command of her field of knowledge that nothing is keeping her here.

Spiritual Perspective

Knowledge is power,  and spiritual knowledge is freedom.

Spiritual knowledge is power that frees you to be in command of your circumstances.

There are no limits to what a person can be in command of,  knowing other planes deeply.

She mastered practical knowledge of the higher planes and is free to be in charge where she lives.

A woman with spiritual clout can use it recklessly.

She lives in the theoretical,  she is scholarly and does not tolerate childishness.

It’s her house

She is not by herself at home anymore,  she has to get out of the house and be practical.

Both women feel they have to get out of the house and do something enjoyable.

Together,  the quiet bookish woman and her down-to-earth associate evade being dictated to.

Her single daughter and the child live at her house,  that’s the way it has to be.

Mother disciplines the daughter’s kid when he is at her house.

She is the boss of her house whether she is staying there or is out of the house.

*Go to Meanings and Illustrations:  Observation of the Spread section below.  This tells about the combined four pictures in the Daily Spread –  the pictures above here.  It explains how these four cards get together to mean things.

You can put all this together and intuitively see yourself how Tarot Verbatim ™ works.

Say hello back!  Comment!  I spend two hours a day or more writing these to you.  Remember to share your experience about our experiment here if you have words for it.  Read others’ comments.

 And you can call me at the 800 99 3 6 9 12 number from Eastern 1 p. m. to Eastern 1 a. m. at least, every day.  (3-6-9-12 like a clock. …….……. . …..… ….…..

Ace of Wands

Queen of Wands – High Priestess – Sun

MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS:  OBSERVATION OF THE SPREAD

Queen of Wands drops in again!  She and High Priestess are both woman who stay in one place,  both competent and knowledgeable –  Queen of Wands about practical things and High Priestess about theoretical, scholarly or spiritual matters.  Queen of Wands is a married woman,  and High Priestess appears as ‘the Other Woman’  and as single although she doesn’t specifically and necessarily mean ‘single.’

Then we have the idea of getting out of the house,  getting away from serious things and being free,  having fun …  even being reckless.  Which immediately suggests these ladies getting out for a night on the town.

Then we have the Ace of Wands,  another regular visitor lately,  who means sex,  primacy or being boss,  command,  ultimatum,  ‘have to’  and meanings like clout and discipline.

MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS:  INDIVIDUAL RIDER WAITE TAROT CARDS

Queen of Wands bosses her home,  is in command at work,  is a practical no-nonsense hands-on married woman … your mama. She is depicted having a big stick in one hand and a sunflower in the other,  a cat sitting as upright and looking as alert as she does in front of her.

High Priestess has command of knowledge and stays in one place.  She is feminine and mysterious,  quiet.  This card stands for the feminine principle as the Magician stands for the masculine.  She tends to be alone,  therefore is often single.  She shows up as the Other Woman partly because she is associated with waiting since her main meaning is to be alone in one place.  The illustration on this Rider Waite Tarot citizen has Kaballah symbols on it.

Sun The boy is a free spirit having reckless fun in the summertime,  unhindered by any rules including those of common sense.  He has left the house to play naked on a pony who is taking a very dim view of his frolic.  Today he is situated as  ‘boy toy’  with the penis next to him and two women on the other side.

Ace of Wands,  another regular visitor here,  is associated with male gender and with sex since it has a penis look to it the way it is drawn.  Primacy or being boss,  command,  ultimatum,  ‘have to’  and meanings like clout and discipline are also part of Ace of Wands’  dictionary.

Our Daily Spread for July 18, 2011 Monday

Advice is about being a stereotype in the workplace, that that is not such a bad thing after all. There’s the VIP boss who’s flamboyant and manipulative, and there’s the quiet lady who does the paperwork. But work is enjoyable. And after work, the playboy and the lady also enjoy what they are doing, and the quiet lady meets her studly man. We learn that a man can have a fun time working for the lady, too. ===================================================================================

==================================================================== King of Pentacles Sun, Eight of Pentacles, High Priestess DAILY MESSAGE TAROT ANALYSIS Tell the visitors here something useful and meaningful to them. Employment, Man’s Perspective Working for the lady is such fun, he feels masterful on this job. He knows the secrets of doing his skilled craft ‘not by the books.’ He is the master carpenter on the job; off the job, he is the playboy with the lady. Employment: Woman’s Perspective She does paperwork and book work for Mr. VIP, and enjoys it. She is on vacation from working for the bankster. Working for the charismatic studly dude is fun for the quiet lady. She works at home and is free of a boss’ rules. She is not restricted to working for just one boss. Romance Perspective She leaves her job to be with him, he is the one with the money. When she gets off work, she is home with her sexy guy. The other woman just waits for Studmuffin to leave work. He and his secretary work on their vacation(s). He, the funloving manager, and she, the studious quiet type, are going steady. ====================================================================

========================================================= MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS: OBSERVATION OF THE SPREAD Sun is a playboy, and King of Pentacles is a flamboyant sexy studmuffin dude. There’s a weak connection re bookkeeping and finance with High Priestess and King of Pentacles. Four relatively unrelated cards. In the center is Eight of Pentacles, work or workplace. Its other meanings are not being used. Behind it is Sun, to be free and to leave. Ahead of it is the woman who is sedentary – a secretary or bookkeeper. Above them is King of Pentacles, the banker, bankster, finance man – and the studmuffin. The easy connection is a secretary and a boss at work. Sun with the Eight of Pentacles is leaving work, or being on vacation from work. MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS: INDIVIDUAL RIDER WAITE TAROT CARDS Sun shows a freedom loving baby who leaves the house to recklessly play with a wicked pony in the back yard. Its meanings derive those that scene, in Rider Waite Tarot Verbatim ™. Leaving, no restrictions or rules, being happy, playing or playboy, fun. Eight of Pentacles is work, work place, workman, keep doing, carpenter. The illustration in Rider Waite shows a carpenter engrossed in making one identical product after another at his workbench. High Priestess is a sedentary lady, a secretary or bookkeeper, she who waits, she who knows secrets. Her illustration shows her sitting with a book in her lap, and symbols of occult knowledge behind her. King of Pentacles is the VIP, the finance man or banker or bankster since he’s the manipulative dude. He is the flashy playboy too. In his illustration, he is all duded up Italianesque. Where’s the cigar?
