Advice contrasts woman’s approach to enterprise with men’s, stereotypically of course. Women get together as equals, pool the investments, share the labor and share the profit with great good feeling together in sisterhood mode. Men are out to make a quick buck and make off with it as loners, to take advantage of the people they deal with on a one-time basis. Yeah, this is simplistic and surely has many exceptions in real life, but that is the groove Tarot is in today for someone out there.

*Go toMeanings and Illustrations: Observation of the Spread section below. This tells about the combined four pictures in the Daily Spread – the pictures above here. It explains how these four cards get together to mean things.
*Go toMeanings and Illustrations: Individual Rider Waite Tarot Cards. It is what each of the four cards, by itself, has to say. It describes how that illustration makes that card’s meanings in this Spread.

MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS: OBSERVATION OF THE SPREAD
“Guy takes her money, takes advantage, and runs” screams this layout. Primary and obvious message, can’t miss it. Just look at Knight of Wands (out of town in a hurry, fast pursuit) and Five of Swords (the bully, the ripoff artist, the abuser, the guy who takes advantage) combined with Three of Cups, women who are making money sharing together in their enterprise, and Temperance, a deal or transaction. (I smell stock broker here.)
So I worked at it and found some positive, or at least less negative messages, because I hate to rain on everyone’s parade unless it’s a hurricane I can do nothing but report. So find that I did, and I put it first!
MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS: INDIVIDUAL RIDER WAITE TAROT CARDS
Temperance A barefoot angel dude pours liquid back and forth between two cups, is standing in a shallow pool with wings outstretched. We have the path to the rising sun and the blue mountains that remind me of Ace of Pentacles. This is a hastily added Middle Ages card that is about diluting wine. That is supposed to be a healing angel, by the symbols on the chest, by the way. Irises.
But this card’s meaning in Tarot Verbatim is intimate partnership or equal partnership, deal or transaction, direct one-on-one hand-to-hand contact. Today the accent is on partnership because of the sharing of profits and pooling of resources expressed in Three of Cups.
Knight of Wands is running out of town in a hurry, although he can mean hot pursuit as well. The salamanders and red hair indicate an impulsive macho energetic dude with a temper. He is in a hurry: That is the main emphasis of Knight of Wands. That is the meaning we concentrate on in today’s messages.
Five of Swords is largely someone you would like to exclude from your life and not be like. This is the smart alec, the bully, the fellow who takes foul advantage of friends and is cruel – you know, ‘the guy who takes his half down the middle of the road.’ His smirk reminds me of Mr. Cheney’s.
The story of the scene is that he had swordplay with friends, and then claimed their swords (and their assets, per knighthood’s rules) as if it were a real fight, when he won. I met lots of this type as a court reporter in the drug and real estate boom in south Florida. They tend to have that expression on their faces a lot, too, that is shown on the Rider Waite Tarot card.
Most of the bad cards have their innocuous side, and this one can simply mean to beat something (say an ailment) or to take advantage of an offer instead of a person.
Three of Cups The girls pooled their money and shared their labor and are now sharing the profit of the farm. Camaraderie, celebration, profit, trust, girls together, party girls, sisterhood.
