Without a question to focus the answer, four cards can mean contradictory things, especially when the Spread has a card that negates other cards. Without a question also the pronouns in a group reading are more flexible, especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads. When a pronoun is in parentheses, feel very free to substitute. The question in a ‘real’ individual reading supplies at least half the information!

Ace of Swords Queen of Cups – Queen of Pentacles – Five of Wands GROUP ANALYTICAL TAROT READING Tell the visitors here something useful and meaningful to them. Gender Power Struggle (Queens + Five of Wands + Ace of Swords) The harder she tries to understand and be supportive, the more domineering he is. She knows how hard that woman tries to possess and boss her man. She watches as this woman runs her man’s life, fights with him and wins. She tries hard to figure out how to get control of him by mothering him. Women Fight Over a Fellow (Queens + Five of Wands) Two women are rivals to win him. War between two women over which wins possession of her fellow. There’s the woman who understands him, and there’s the woman who influences him, the ultimate rivalry. She does know one woman who is skilled at knife fights. She has figured out how a woman can beat them at their own game. She knows which woman has the talent to win this competition. She is an able coach for winning in razor-edged competition. Her man’s business competes successfully, with her running it: She has the know-how. With your energy, skill and knowledge, you win. Ace of Swords Queen of Cups – Queen of Pentacles – Five of Wands LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING We have two women, fighting and winning. Both Rider Waite Tarot Queens here are competent, knowledgeable people: Queen of Cups emphasizes knowing and is sweetnatured, social – even naïve. Queen of Pentacles is running an enterprise, is financially knowledgeable and usually on the worldly side. Neither of them are competitive by nature, although Queen of Pentacles can be possessive of her man and be a matriarch type. Today, though, they are in a fight or competition, either adverse to one another or on the same side. Five of Wands is a fight, struggle, battle, competition – or is trying hard, exercising, intensely involved in some activity. And Ace of Swords knows no compromise: It’s winner take all, it’s victory or defeat. So I apologize for the repetitious sentences, but there’s not that much different material here, it all dovetails. Ace of Swords Another ‘what you see is what you get’ illustration. A sword is not only crowned but the crown is crowned with the laurel of victory. Achievement, victory, winning, force, weapon, assertive or aggressive. Forcing or being forced. You have to, no choice, it’s an order. “I gotta do it.” It’s a sure thing.
