Guidance Today we juxtapose “Being taken such foul advantage of that you are desperate is what gets you out of there to a life that’s okay.” and “Uninhibited by morality, he robbed people of their homes.” We describe the richer life of people who suffer injustice; and we describe the mentality of entitlement that bullies have, and their idea they are only passin’ on the grief they endured, poor things. If you look at it in this light, you have to realize the bullies are sacrificing themselves for us, bequeathing us the wisdom and breadth of character that isn’t available to their class of people.

Is this the first time you come here? Well … what to do:

*Go to Guidance (above ) which is a summary of the Messages. (Guidance is everyone’s favorite part.)

*Go to Group Analytical Tarot Cards Reading below.  One or more of those sentences has something to say to you.  Intuitively pick those out and decide whether to encourage or suppress them They are about you and the people around you.  They are about today and the days around it.  (It is a group message like a horoscope,  except Tarot isn’t based on someone else’s birth data,  so it can be specific,  accurate,  detailed and direct.  Our experiment here is  “How much more accurate is it?”)

Did you come here for your predictions? –  You are done now –  See you tomorrow.

Without a question to focus the answer,  four cards can mean contradictory things,  especially when the Spread has a card that negates other cards.  Without a question also the pronouns in a group reading are more flexible,  especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads.  When a pronoun is in parentheses,  feel very free to substitute.  The question in a  ‘real’  individual reading supplies at least half the information!

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

You hate to start out a day with Five of Pentacles (poor, miserable, sick, on the streets homeless) and Five of Swords (the bully who robs us) … you know? But there they are, sitting in our four seats at the Tarot Table.

The other two Rider Waite Tarot citizens are (the third Five) Hierophant and Sun. Hierophant is normal, respectable, safe and okay. Sun is very welcome here in its ‘escape’ class of meanings: We need those. He also is the callous bastard (check!), the kid (check, with the bully link), having fun, and leaving a house (check, the homeless on the street link).

Altogether, our story is about having come through hard times, and a vivid description of the mentality of a bully, whether it’s a paper bully as on Wall Street and down at the bank, or whether it’s the bully on the street with the fists.

It’s the ‘escape’ of Sun and the ‘good times’ of Hierophant that make the bullying past tense in our spread. (Whew!)

LEARN TAROT BY PICTURES

Five of Pentacles Mother and son are sick, crippled, unfed, and unclothed in the cold, walking unshod in snow, so numb with despair and illness they pass by free food and shelter in the church sanctuary. They are homeless and destitute (obviously). So that is what this card is about: being so immersed in the bad you miss the good. Misery.
Five of Swords After he exercised with his friends at swordplay, the smirking smart alec pretended it was for real and took their swords (which means he takes their lands too, or their rights to them). (So we have a slight echo of the ‘loss of home’ here, as well as the despair. His friends are in despair, too.) The focus of this card’s meaning is usually the attitude of entitlement and callousness of the bully.
Hierophant Speaking of pretext, Hierophant is about the public version of an institution’s identity. Every religion that I know of has a version for the kiddies, the public, and a version for the cognoscenti, the pros, the theologians. So, obviously, do governments and corporations and professions have this official face, and this official story. Pictured is the pope, with some monks kneeling before him.
Sun The story here is an overly adventurous naked kid who sneaks out of the safe house into the yard to cavort with the wicked pony who has obviously had it with that banner-bearing brat. So getting away from a house and its rules, play and fun, kid(s), freedom, escape, being free-spirited and uninhibited, and sun or daylight are the main meanings.

Tarot Readings for You for May 13-14, 2020 Wednesday-Thursday©

It’s not always a person you fall in love with. Wild enthusiasm can focus on a thing, an idea, a feeling, an activity, a movement, an ambition, and even oneself – and this focus can be just as extra-rational as love. The love bug is only one of many other bugs, but he gets all the publicity, all the press, most of the attention. Myself, I have been smitten by a few of these, and mostly recovered before it was over. How about you? Are you infecting anyone these days?
