Guidance Not communicating is our subject today. There are some things that are best kept to yourself, even if you have expertise about them, even if you are being questioned, even if you are a talker. Why are they curious? Are they writing a book, or what? Some things you don’t tell your spouse-person, if you have any sense and value the relationship. Some things authority is nosy about. We are making this point over and over, in different ways, so this point is important to someone out there.

Without a question to focus the answer, four cards can mean contradictory things, especially when the Spread has a card that negates other cards. Without a question also the pronouns in a group reading are more flexible, especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads. When a pronoun is in parentheses, feel very free to substitute. The question in a ‘real’ individual reading supplies at least half the information!

She empowers him; he is pondering all the things she told him.
She isn’t a talker and he is the quiet type too, so I doubt they talk.
She is the lady for a long term relationship, I would think, of all of them.
A lot of stable men have quiet passive women, don’t they?

She just figures daddy is getting older.
The old man doesn’t understand the language.

All kinds of questions for the big corporation’s expert.
Inscrutable entries in a federal databank.
When questioned, she is silent and has her attorney there to speak.
She isn’t responding to her father’s questions.
Authority, Boss (Emperor)
Authorities are curious about all our secrets.
I guess she knows what she is talking about, she speaks authoritatively.
Here’s a list of things to keep quiet about around the higher-ups – just let them wonder.
She knows how powerful he is; he may set who-knows-what sort of things in motion.
She knows how rigid he is, so she is thinking up what to say.
Even the head man’s secretary doesn’t know what he is saying about it.
The VIP has his choice of ladies, it seems.
The boss gets calls from many inquisitive women.
How does she know all these things about the dignitary?
The boss puzzles out her writing on the list.
Figure out what was said between the senior man and the receptionist.
She is the power behind the throne, I suspect, for a lot of these things.
She knows all sorts of things about the dictator that we can only speculate upon.
Spiritual people ponder a number of subjects about divine authority.
Federal Governments (Eight of Wands + Emperor)
Communications from a federal government puzzle even experts.
Lady seems to have a lot of federal contacts.

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING
This is an odd group. No real action cards. Nearest we come to a theme is these two pairs: Seven of Pentacles speculates or asks questions or wonders and doubts, and Eight of Wands is a list, and communicates. Seven of Pentacles doesn’t know, and High Priestess is a secret, or is in secrecy mode.
Then High Priestess is secrets and Emperor is a VIP or a government (federal on any level – it can be any agency, even Fan Belt Inspectors).
High Priestess is a quiet woman, Emperor is a rigid controlled man. They are a likely couple, a stable one.

Seven of Pentacles Doubt is sometimes due to paying attention. Mr. Seven here is aware that his cucumbers are gendered plants, so he wonders whether both genders of it are nearby enough to make cucumbers. This is the kind of doubt that is productive. Some others we know are not so beneficial. |

High Priestess She knows so much she knows who not to tell and when not to tell: She is the expert keeper of secrets that we strive today to be if we believe our messages. She is the feminine principle of occult lore: To be inactive on the physical plane (so she is seated) and active on the higher planes. |

Emperor The ultimate authority quite often is a rigid and very controlled personality (that goes nutty privately, sometimes, yes), which is what we picture here. This is the powerful man, the head man … whether it’s the guys at the plant or the nation’s power structure. |
