Tarot Readings for You for July 10-11, 2017 Monday-Tuesday© Celtic Cross

Today we have that famous question people ask psychics: Why isn’t he calling me? And people ask ‘Is he or she cheating on me?’ Well, a client on a telephone reading asked the first question, and the answer, which I diagrammed for its usefulness, is ‘He is cheating, feels bad about it, and is making a resolution not to do it again.
Question: Why isn’t he calling me?

Here is a Celtic Cross Layout, Tarot Verbatim™ style:

Here's what a Celtic Cross Is:

First Sentence(s), the part of the spread called the cross.Page of Pentacles is the first Self card.Page of Wands is the Cover/Situation card.Emperor is the Cross/Problem card.Two of Swords is the Past or ‘just Behind’ card. It is paired withHierophant as the Future/Just Ahead card (F.Y.I., I call the Behind and Ahead cards ‘Expanded Present.’ )Three of Wands is the Foundation card. It is paired withThree of Pentacles as the Future card.
Second Sentence, called the tower, and it’s 3 cards straight up.Two of Cups is the second Self card.Devil is the Others or Situation card (also called ‘environment.’)Ten of Swords is the Hopes & Fears or Turning Point card
Third Sentence, called Outcome.And the rest are Outcome, three cards straight across with the middle one aligned with the tower, and sometimes a ‘crown card’ is part of it, as today, which is Strength.

The way you read a Celtic cross spread is:

First Sentence(s)
The first three cards (first Self, Cover and Cross or, as I call it, Situation and Problem.
Then what I call the expanded present is behind and ahead of the cover and cross cards, so they are labeled Behind and Ahead by me, or Past and Future.
These are paired cards – read that way.
The Foundation and Future cards at the bottom and top of the first sentence’s spread are read paired, usually using future tense because of the future...

ILLUSTRATION: Pamela Coleman Smith, a stage prop artist, is really good at facial expressions. King of Cups has the look of a fellow who is deflated, maybe even bleary-eyed, like a truck driver who has put in too many hours. (My impression, of course.) You have to be careful with King of Cups: He has few meanings, and they are very di...

Ace of Pentacles – World – Ace of Swords
.
HERE ARE THE WORDS THESE CARDS ARE SAYING IN THIS SPREAD.
.
.

Here are Ace of Pentacles' phrases and words: everything is okay; that I own; it's mine; in (her) hand; your reward; that makes you; on the path of; when you're right; is all yours; pay you what you are worth; to be perfect; on the path of; wins; success; I have succeeded; is on (her) right path; that's absolutely right; to have _ prize.
.
.
Here are today's main translates, by category, for Ace of Pentacles:
.
SUCCESS: success; succeeded at;
PATH, ROAD: on the path; on the path of; is on her right path;
PAY, PRICE, MONEY: your reward; pay you what you are worth;
POSSESS, OWN, MINE, YOURS: I keep to the part that I own; 'It's mine'; my own; is all yours;
RIGHT, RIGHTS: my right to; when you're right; that's right;
PERFECT, PERFECTION: to be perfect; a perfectionist; PERFECTIONIST
ACCEPTABLE, OKAY: Everything is okay;
WINNER, PRIZE: that makes you the winner; prize
.
.
ILLUSTRATION: A hand with a pile of gold coins, and a gold straight path beneath, a path that begins with the lilies of purity and ends with the rose arbor of victory, proclaims that the good life is the prosperous life. The hand holding the gold is owning and possessing, which translates possessive pronouns in context: mine, yours, our, their. And Ace of Pentacles is obviously success, winning, being paid (or paying), reward, achievement – all of that sort of thing. So Ace of Pentacles easily and often translates 'your success; our money; their win; we paid' and so on.
Ace of Pentacles – not today – brings up doing right, being straight, and that sort of thing.
.
.
Here are World's phrases and words: you know your place; I keep to the part of my turf; no trespassing; immovable object that repels; it's what you are not involved in; mind my own business; you just ignore the riffraff; no part anyone else's; you won't know them; in a class of your own; ultimate...

Temperance – Ace of Swords – Ace of Pentacles
.
HERE ARE THE WORDS THESE CARDS ARE SAYING IN THIS SPREAD.
.
.

Here are Temperance's phrases and words: deal with; partner's; partner; this deal; you two;partner; reciprocate; someone you meet; close relationship;relationship; your partner; you are dealing with a person; my best friend; dialog; exchanged; in the deal you are doing; this meeting; a relationship; you and me together; our relationship; communicate
.
Here are today's main translates, by category, for Temperance:
.
DEAL, DEALING: deal with; this deal; in the deal you are doing;
PARTNER, INTIMATE PARTNER: partner's; partner; partner; your partner; you are dealing with a person;
TWO PEOPLE TOGETHER: you two; you and me together;
RESPOND, TWO-WAY ACTIVITY: reciprocate; exchanged;
TO MEET A PERSON: someone you meet; this meeting;
TWO PEOPLE WHO ARE CLOSE: close relationship; relationship; my best friend; a relationship; our relationship;
TWO-WAY CONVERSATION OR COMMUNICATION: dialog; communicate
.
.
.
ILLUSTRATION: This is a card in which (from my view) the meaning doesn't match the picture well at all. You see an angel pouring wine and water together to mix it. That's piety, and that's why 'temperance.' This card deflected the Tarot users from being prosecuted as witches (and killed). So I don't find any sort of mixing, blending, dilution, flow, or moderation in drinking at all in the use of this card. (I'm not saying you won't, or should not, of course.)
Instead, Temperance in Tarot Verbatim™ emphasizes the back and forth movement as (1) deal and (2) relationship. Temperance's back and forth movement is applied as dialog; as a mutual, intimate relationship or close friendship with communication. Not-so-related to the illustration is Temperance appearing in your spread as partners; as intimacy; as responding, reciprocating, and as any sort of exchange (which is part of its 'deal' application).
There's a symb...

.
.
.
ILLUSTRATION: A sturdily built tough-looking guy, on a horse to match him - short, stocky, dark, and looking straight ahead is Knight of Pentacles. He has a spread of meanings, more than you would expect, and he covers more than one stereotype. He is the Type A manly-man driven ambitious focused determined and persistent fellow. It's his staring that translates into focus, into one interest, into determination.
That 'one interest' and obsession makes Knight of Pentacles your lead card for stalkers, and the stalker doesn't have to be male, of course.
He is a strong man, vigorous health, good body strength … often, with muscles to match.
He is interested in only ...

Ten of Pentacles – Ace of Cups – Three of Swords

HERE ARE THE WORDS THESE CARDS ARE SAYING IN THIS SPREAD.

Here are Ten of Pentacles' phrases and words:   cranky crew, troubled people, don't get along with one another; toxic relationships; a bunch of disagreeable people; family feud; hostile background; organization that is against something; people are so hateful; a bad marriage; the quarreling family; everybody is against; complicated lives; hate is all in the family; they're still relatives; divides people; misguided people; hostile atmosphere; a difficult family life; my enemies
.
Here are today's main translates, by category, for Ten of Pentacles:
.
ORGANIZATION: organization that is against something; everybody is against;
PEOPLE WITH PROBLEMS AND TROUBLE: troubled people; complicated lives;
.
.
ILLUSTRATION:      The illustration is a family quarrel of the type in which Grandpa, the family boss (evidence by his chair-throne and the dogs bowing down) seems to have gotten together with his son, and the son is passing the orders on to the wife, who is distressed as the kid pulls on her. Hubby stares into space and away from her pleading face. I suspect the orders are to have another kid before this one is tamed. (My view, of course.)

So Ten of Pentacles is about dysfunctional family, about people who are stressed in their social group (home, extended family, work, friends – any circle). 'People who have a problem or people who are a problem' is my slogan for this Rider Waite Tarot card.
.
.

Here are Ace of Cups' phrases and words: get them to cooperate; healing energy; loved ones; I like; healing; they agree; a truce; I'm in love with; cooperates closely; God's (people); is a sacrament; for the sake of peace; I'm in favor of; peace; love; love 'em; being for; holy _; I make peace; someone you love; is my friend

They are sick and crippled, and the boy is a leper. Five of Pentacles is when you are so used to your bad situation you are inured to it and do not see, or seek, the way out. Two of Cups – Hierophant – Ace of Swords

UNDISCLOSED THIRD PARTY, COVERT INFLUENCE: influence; covert control;
FACTORS NOT APPARENT: assumptions;
.
.
ILLUSTRATION: What keeps this from being the uncomplicated love affair is that gizmo, the caduceus, between and above the couple who are 'pledging their troth' (announcing their engagement). It's about interfering spirits that affect humans, sometimes through spells. So Two of Cups expands to any undisclosed or not-apparent factor or party to your situation. Assumptions is a good example, and today we have religion, corruption, sneaky people, and mistrust.
.
.

Here are Hierophant's phrases and words: commitment; it's all right; it's a harmless; good clean; fit to print; to pass; civilizing; a churchgoer; living right; if you're really decent; have good names; look clean; accepted; respectable; straighten out; be good; straight shooter; what's right

HERE ARE THE WORDS THESE CARDS ARE SAYING IN THIS SPREAD.
.
.

Here are Ace of Cups' phrases and words: good health; spiritual life; loved one; good condition; being religious; God and good things; your health; going smoothly; cooperate; making love; easier life; someone to love; love relationship; benefit; going with the flow; accepted; makes life easier; being loved; be in love; good things; a fellow who loves you; it's easy; for the better

GOD, SPIRITUALITY, RELIGION: spiritual life; being religious; God and good things;
COOPERATE, AGREE: going smoothly; cooperate;
.
.
ILLUSTRATION:  Ace of Cups’ core meaning arises from the complex illustration of the Spirit of God (the dove) within a person (the five streams representing humans’ five senses) influencing (the streams flowing into the large calm body of water) other people and consciousness itself. The dove of course is Holy Spirit and the wafer of the Communion ritual in its beak. A large body of calm water represents mass consciousness. That core meaning is about love, good influence (good anything), cooperation, health and healing.
From there, you have true love, unconditional love, getting along, peace, being in agreement, being at ease and taking it easy.
.
.

Here are Knight of Swords' phrases and words:    get my _ back; go back to; run over to; restoring things; go back to; turn to; as soon as you change; once you get things going; for a change; go after; moving; what a change; all of a sudden; get things going; going with; in a hurry; turns thin...
