Tarot Readings for You for February 13, 2014 Thursday©
Guidance Make order where there is a deteriorating or disintegrating situation, make order by both an act of will and by being an orderly-minded take-charge person (even for just this moment). Sometimes, though, you straighten out a messy situation by refraining from action, waiting it out. You use the elements of the situation – both the factors that favor and the factors that are contrary to what you want – to bring about your desired result. That’s called ‘tacking against the wind’ in the world of sailboats. You are a strategist when you do this. Several of today’s readings are about a vehicle.

Now, Part Two,
Do you want to know a little, or a lot, about how this Tarot Verbatim™ thing works? If so,
*Go to Learn Tarot by Observing section below. This tells about the combined four pictures in the Tarot Readings – the pictures above here. It explains how these four cards get together in your mind to make the messages.
*Go to Learn Tarot by Pictures. It is what each of the four cards, by itself, has to say. It shows you how that illustration makes that card’s meanings in today’s Spread. All the words of each Tarot card reading you see here are a phrase-by-phrase translation of the scene pictured on those cards: no filler, no psychic impressions, no spirit guide. Word-for-word Tarot Verbatim™.
You can put all this together and intuitively see yourself how Tarot Verbatim™ works.
This is a group reading, with no Questioner and no Question to limit what the cards say, so there’s more variety – even contradictions – and also the pronouns are more flexible. If it feels like it’s yours, and it says ‘he,’ and you’re a ‘she,’ feel free to adopt it anyway.
Queen of Wands
Four of Swords – Chariot – Seven of Cups
Chariot and Queen of WandsHere are two people who have things under control, who are in charge: Chariot is the project manager who gets the job done one way or the other; Queen of Wands runs a tight ship managing home and/or office.
Four of Swords and Seven of Cups In between them is Seven of Cups’ chaos, a mess, a deteriorating situation. And the other Rider Waite Tarot card is Four of Swords: not doing anything, leaving it alone, sleeping. Four of Swords and Seven of Cups together describe letting the disorder or mess or chaos be, waiting it out.
Chariot and Queen of Wands both take charge of a situation and create (Chariot) and maintain (Queen of Wands) order. Queen of Wands is in a particular place for this (home or business or personal life) and Chariot is more general – achieving a project or aim by sheer willpower and skill. Chariot and Queen of Wands also have responsibility in common. She is sensible and sane in her way of taking control; he is more strategic, even devious.
Chariot and Queen of Wands are in control; Seven of Cups is out of control. You see the fog has hit the fan in its illustration. Queen of Wands is sane; Seven of Cups is insane. Queen of Wands is order; Seven of Cups is disorder. Chariot is being in masterful control; Seven of Cups is out of control.
Four of Swords is not doing anything, out of action. Chariot is the opposite: taking charge and making things happen right. Four of Swords is ‘not responsible’ in the sense of not acting; Chariot means taking responsibility. Queen of Wands is, of course, responsible for her domain as a manager or wife. Four of Swords is ‘and that’s it,’ resting on it; Seven of Cups is ‘no matter what may come.
So we have sanity, Queen of Wands , and insanity, Seven of Cups ; we have taking full responsibility of a situation, Chariot , and we have doing nothing about it at all, Four of Swords .
So our story is definitely about a mess and order being achieved, and some part of the story is about refraining from action despite our two persons in the story being take-charge people.
Chariot’s being a vehicle setting right next to Seven of Cups which means wrecked or a mess , and also right next to Four of Swords’ being passive (hence ‘parked’) is another chapter to our story today. You can see how Chariot and Four of Swords also refer to sleeping in a vehicle.
By the way, Chariot and Queen of Wands can be a motor home, and
Seven of Cups and Queen of Wands turns that sensible take-charge woman into ‘his crazy wife,’ because Seven of Cups is crazy.

Four of Swords’ illustration shows a person lying on a sarcophagus (stone container for a coffin) in a cathedral meditating through the night in preparation for knighthood. Its predominant meanings are about refraining from action – in any way. Letting it be, waiting, not doing anything, nothing is happening, not (his) doing, is not the one who, retirement, things don’t get (whatever), it’s not happening here, to stay or remain as it is, or to stay being (whatever), still is, not have anything to do with, to not do anything about it, to be passive, to sleep or be asleep, to be parked.
Chariot has a project and is going to accomplish it successfully, using all factors involved to create progress, ‘tacking against the wind.’ To maintain, to go (or to get) ahead, to be in control, responsible, chooses or decides, take charge, him being in charge, deliberately, with intent, control of (including self-control), successfully managing, making progress, being the strategist, to decided or be decisive, his business. And then Chariot is any kind of vehicle (including airplanes sometimes, especially when talking of a pilot), at the wheel, drives through, etc.
Seven of Cups’ illustrates both Pandora’s box and Sorcerer’s Apprentice stories. A cloud has all sorts of stuff in it, and a figure in black has no control over it and is in a panic. Its meanings are all the same but expressed very differently, so here goes: things are completely messed up/a mess/messed all those things up, the dust, uncontrollable situation, things are so out of control/an out-of-control (whatever), chaos, craziness, disorganized, things get out of hand, rat race, no matter what may come, wrecked, disintegrating, delusional, mixed-up, disrepair, strangely, situation deteriorates, things are unsettled, dreaming, life falls apart, in the fog, a storm, vandalized, through the storm, fanciful.
Queen of Wands reminds me of the folk song ‘Mama Don’t Allow.’ Look at her epitomizing ‘the sensible woman’: sits upright with that alert-for-shenanigans look on her face, a big stick in one hand and a flower in the other. She is about an orderly house, order, one’s personal turf or personal business, a sane responsible woman, a manager, the woman who is in charge of business or home (or both). She is stereotypically a nurse. And this is the Wife card, the married woman, the Lady of the House.
