Page of Pentacles means think and thought, means identity (the person who; who I am; a type of person, etc.) and it means a young person. Page of Pentacles is one of those cards that can simply translate as a pronoun – especially ‘I’ and ‘he.’

Together, Ace of Wands and Death famously say ‘Absolutely not,’ with Ace of Wands being the ‘absolutely.’ But they also say ‘not important’ and ‘you can’t make me.’

Ace of Wands by itself is sex, priority, must or have to, ultimatum or orders. It’s also willpower and asserting oneself or himself.

Death, of course, in Tarot Verbatim™ is a negative modifier that can also pick up the word death in a (usually) incidental way. It means ‘stop’ and ‘end.’

Ace of Wands..…….. Ace of Wands is a hand with a board in it. The board is sprouting, which gives this card an incidental meaning of fertility, and a primary meaning of sex from a male perspective. So it means male gender. It also means force, orders, must or have to. Watch for it once in a while to be advice to ‘get a grip’ or ‘get ahold of yourself.’ So it can mean ‘get your hands on’ too.

Death……….. Death’s picture is regime change – ‘The king is dead; long live the king.’ So it should have an ‘out with the old, in with the new’ application. But it doesn’t, in my field trials and in my experience as a reader. Death, in Tarot Verbatim™, is any negative modifier. It also means stop, end, and quit.

Page of Pentacles………Page of Pentacles shows a young man – good posture, well dressed – staring at his pentacle. He is about thinking (and to a lesser extent observing). He is about being young – can be a student because he is studying that pentacle. He is about identity, so he can translate a ‘type of person’ and can translate pronouns, especially ‘I’ and ‘he.’ Page of Pentacles is very similar to Page of Wands.

‘I can quit any time I’m of a mind to.’ ‘I know I can win but I’m not of a mind to.’ I could give an ultimatum, but that’s not who I am; I’m an observer. You’ve got to quit thinking like that. And I know what I’ve got to quit. Today is all about thoughts and how the are used, and how they operate. We didn’t say thoughts are deadly weapons, but that is actually in this spread too.

The combination of Death (negative modifier par excellence in the Tarot Verbatim™ system) and Page of Pentacles (think and identity) says ‘I don’t think’ and ‘I’m not the type.’ Almost every sentence I typed is accounted for by these interrelationships among these three Tarot citizens.

Three of Cups is sharing, enjoying life with compatriots, camaraderie, profit-sharing, getting together, being out on the town (girls), girlfriends (either girlfriends of girlfriends, or a fellow’s girlfriend or girlfriends) … well, you get the picture.

Death……… Death calls ‘The King is dead; long live the King!’ to mind, which would be the end and the beginning, but in real life spreads, in application, Death is any negative word, usually as a modifier, but sometimes as advice to stop, or to not go there, or not do something. It translates ‘end’ or ‘the end’ too.

Page of Pentacles …………. Page of Pentacles shows a young man holding up the pentacle, studying it, contemplating it, staring at it. Pages were young noblemen who were sent to a different noble family to be taught to be knights, so they are apprentices, anxious to fit in (identity). Page of Pentacles and Page of Wands especially are about identity, being attractive to other people. Page of Pentacles often translates ‘think’ and ‘feel,’ and also translates as pronouns ‘I,’ ‘he,’ and ‘you.’

Three of Cups…………. Three of Cups is camaraderie, sharing, team, and celebrating. It’s also one of the cards that means three people are together, like Three of Pentacles does. There’s an equality to Three of Cups as well, and it sometimes means ‘the girls win.’ The story is the girls have pooled their money, resources and labor, grown a crop, sold the crop, split the profit and are still friends. Three of Cups can be girls’ night out, girls who are partying, socialites or a woman who is popular.
