Tarot Readings: Won’t Take ‘No’ for an Answer (Two of Swords and Death)
There’s no stopping you, it seems.
I don’t think it can’t be done.
I will think of something: No way will I quit.
I won’t take ‘no’ for an answer; I have questions.
It ain’t over until I figure it is.
There’s no way I will consider ending it now.
I won’t let this be over: Have you figured that out?
Tarot Readings: Wonder Whether It’s Over (Death and Seven of Pentacles)
I guess I’m not gonna die after all.
What if it isn’t over?
It looks like it’s never going to end.
Maybe it’s not over.
Death isn’t the end after all.
They don’t consider the matter closed.
Is it a stalemate or not?
Stop and think when you’re at a dead end.
I will never quit wondering about that.
Gee, I can’t seem to quit. What if I can’t quit?
Tarot Readings: Never Quit Wondering (Seven of Pentacles)
Nothing’s stopping you from asking.
Never stop questioning.
I wonder why without end.
Never stop wondering, okay?
I’ll never quit wondering about things.
Think about it; don’t shut it out.
There’s no end to pondering things.
Tarot Readings: Nothing Can Be Done (Two of Swords and Death)
It’s not just me thinking nothing can be done.
You may end up in a quandary.

Now, Part Two,
Do you want to know a little, or a lot, about how this Tarot Verbatim™ thing works? If so,
*Go to Learn Tarot by Observing section below. This tells about the combined three pictures in the Tarot Readings – the pictures above here. It explains how these three cards get together in your mind to make the messages. HERE ARE PHRASES FOR ALL THREE 2-CARD COMBINATIONS is a stream-of-consciousness bridge to your subconscious if you use it regularly – people report.
*Go to Learn Tarot by Pictures. It is what each of the three cards, by itself, has to say. It shows you how that illustration makes that card’s meanings in today’s Spread. All the words of each Tarot card reading you see here are a phrase-by-phrase translation of the scene pictured on those cards: no filler, no psychic impressions, no spirit guide. Word-for-word Tarot Verbatim™.
You can put all this together and intuitively see yourself how Tarot Verbatim™ works.
This is a group reading, with no Questioner and no Question to limit what the cards say, so there’s more variety – even contradictions – and also the pronouns are more flexible. If it feels like it’s yours, and it says ‘he,’ and you’re a ‘she,’ feel free to adopt it anyway.

………………….…………………… I almost just put these away and drew some more cards, like a coward chickening out. We have two cards that mean ‘The End’ and little else, and one that questions. Two negative cards can make a positive, since this is an English language endeavor. Hence, my reaction. Somehow, I just could not quit … what is exactly what these three cards in Tarot Verbatim™ say!
………………………….. Two of Swords says ‘No way,’ that there’s a stalemate, a block, the buck stops here, it’s off limits. You can’t. You’re not allowed. You’re blocked. “NO.”
………………………….. Death is any negative modifier for a surrounding card – no, never, not, don’t, can’t won’t – and so on. It also represents the word ‘death’ but is not a lead card for physical death of a living thing.
……………..………….. Seven of Pentacles says ‘I dunno.’ He is in doubt about whether his plant will bear, after all his work. He wonders, he ponders. Seven of Pentacles is about being indecisive too … can’t make up your mind – which is the same mood as the illustration depicts.
……….………….. Two of Swords and Death Two of Swords and Death counterbalance one another so perfectly: can’t not; won’t quit; can’t stop; no stopping (you); won’t take ‘no’ for an answer; isn’t the end; nothing’s stopping you – and so on. The interplay between these two negative modifiers is the crux of this spread’s meanings.
………..………….. Two of Swords and Seven of Pentacles Two of Swords and Seven of Pentacles pair one card that is a finality – Two of Swords saying ‘can’t be done’ – with a card that questions, wonders, and raises doubts. Their interplay is interesting to me. Try these phrases on for size, that they mean together: stop and think; quit wondering; stop questioning; no doubt; it seems there’s no; I don’t think; think there’s no way; thinking nothing can be done; not until I figure it is; no way I will consider; they don’t consider; have you figured there’s no way; I guess I’m not; have you figured I won’t let.
………..…………… Death and Seven of Pentacles Death and Seven of Pentacles combines wondering with a negative, and there’s competition over there from another negative word. Not only is there competition from Two of Swords, the other negative word, but Seven of Pentacles itself means doubt, so it can say ‘I don’t think’ as well as ‘I think.’ So these two can say ‘I think it can’t’ and ‘I don’t think it can’t,’ and that’s without the other negative-word producer. These distinctions are the awkward end of Tarot Verbatim™.
……….…………………… But the following phrases do belong to Death and Seven of Pentacles: it seems there’s no; I guess I’m not; consider ending it; what if it isn’t?; looks like it’s never; maybe it’s not; don’t consider; Is it, or not?; What if I can’t?; stopping you from asking; stop questioning; stop wondering.

We are not ending where the story ends. No, we still have a question. What makes you think you can stop me just because it’s over? we are saying. We have our foot in the door that’s supposed to be closed, and we are hanging around plaintively. (There’s no force here, no action at all even.) ‘I don’t get it that it’s over’ and ‘I guess Death isn’t the end’ are flagship statements for the mood we are in here.

Two of Swords……… Stop. You can’t go any farther. No way. Two of Swords reminds you of the symbol at a railroad crossing. You are as stuck in the situation as the gal in the nightdress, blindfolded, holding two heavy swords crossed in such a way that putting them down might be problematical. She sits on a stone bench with her back to calm water.
.
Death…………. This is one of the cards that Tarot Verbatim, for whatever its reasons, does not follow the illustration of very well. The illustration is ‘The kind is dead; long live the king.’ A bishop picks up the crown for the next heir to the throne, so this should be about succession, regime or power change, the end of something that ushers in another thing by its very end. But it Tarot Verbatim, althought it does mean ‘end’ often, it is simply a negative modifier to surrounding cards almost every time. It comes in handy when you have a card about hurt or harm, making it ‘not hurt’ and ‘no harm.’ That often is its function in Tarot Verbatim. It also expresses, as it does today, a double negative along the lines of ‘can’t stop.’
.
Seven of Pentacles………. ‘Is anything going to come of this?’ asks the grower leaning on his shovel. Will my labor be rewarded? Will this work be worth it? Some plants don’t bear unless a plant of opposite gender is nearby. And sometimes we do the work without knowing whether we get paid.
