Tarot Readings for You for October 8-9, 2016 Weekend©

GUIDANCE  We contrast the manly man style with the brat style here, in many ways. We love it when John Wayne loosens up and lets that charm of his fly. And we enjoy conversation with one of those leading grownup men, as well as anyone does. We note how quickly, a step at a time, a boy-child becomes a grown man. Mostly, we are unabashedly wholeheartedly enjoying the day these days.

Eight of Wands The way the items in the picture are piled up on one another makes Eight of Wands refer to plural things (It makes other cards plural); refer to accumulating or increasing – phrases like ‘more’ and ‘more and more’ and ‘every time; and refer to sustained or continuous or ongoing activity (words like ‘often). That’s the easy part. Today it brings us ‘all.’

.

Eight of Wands is the main communication (talk, conversation, says, tells, etc.) card. It is also the main card for written forms of communication – texting, documents, sign language … heck, it covers skywriting.

Sun  Sun’s simple tale births many and varied meanings. You see a little boy who sneaked out of the house naked (dodging a bath?) to ride bareback in the roasting sun on a very cross pony. So the tyke is having fun, is enjoying himself, is impulsive and uninhibited and spontaneous, is getting out of the restrictions of the house rules, and is outdoors in the fresh air. Sun also means lighthearted, playful, vacation. Watch him show up for skipping class, A.W.O.L. and ‘leaving home’ in any way.

.

‘Charming baby boy’ belongs to Sun, whether meant sarcastically or factually.

Sun is a boy. If you ask the gender of a pregnant woman’s child, Sun says it’s a boy (so does Ace of Wands).

.

And Sun is reckless. Sun can even be that callous ‘I just wanna have fun’ attitude. Sun is the card for a fling.

King of Swords  Here’s your strong-silent-type card that oft means that sort of man. King of Swords is the leader, the man other men proudly follow, the manly masculine herd-bull John Wayne person, the boss, the authority, the powerful man, the dignified man, the leading man, the man of his word, the responsible grownup man. King of Swords personifies the manly role.

.

It means military, soldier and soldiers, even militant. King of Swords can be the War Department with an ‘agency’ card.
