….. …….…… ….. First thing that grabs your attention here is that both Four of Cups and World are blocking influences out that are close by, and doing that deliberately: shutting out ‘incoming.’
Then you notice the other card is the ‘incoming.’ (Remember M.A.S.H.?)
Both Four of Cups and Three of Wands indicate this is a continuing process, not a one-time event. (The ship is on its way, and the offers are refused as they arise.)
So we have a loud and clear, very focused, message today. The process of something not happening obviously can refer to anything.

Four of Cups Four of Cups says ‘no.’ Says ‘no way’ repeatedly. Refuses, ignores, doesn’t listen, doesn’t respond, doesn’t let himself, not going to, restrain from action, turns it down, it doesn’t go through, isn’t interested. Once in a while it means to prevent, and once in a while it means to resist, including resist temptation. Four of Cups can even say ‘The buck stops here.’ Four of Cups can be a warning to refuse a drink, and can be a person who is giving up drinking. And Four of Cups can stoop to being a common negative modifier.

Three of Wands Three of Wands is not himself today. He is an ‘ahead’ kind of guy, but his ‘always’ is turning into ‘never.’ He is about your ship coming in, and he is surrounded on all sides by Tarot cards that say: NOT. So all his profit, paycheck and money meanings are bye-bye. He is about the future and future tense, and the cards on either side say ‘not getting through.’ So where he would have said anything was going to happen, he is now forced to say it’s never going to happen.
What he continues to do now is to ‘be out of the loop’ and such non-happenings.
World World You could say World has a world of meanings. I shall write a World book someday, but not right here right now. First, today, World echoes Four of Cups’ theme of refusing and not getting through, ‘not getting any attention from me.’ We elaborate on that a little in phrases like: nothing interferes, the door sealed shut (‘Color me out of the picture.’), and rejecting and repelling incoming (undesired) influences.
Next, we pick up the core and deep meaning of World, of being superior, being immune to trouble, spiritual maturity ( a grownup), superior skill, operating at a higher level, having mastered a skill. World is free, dancing nude with her wands inside her wreath of iron, is ‘unencumbered.’
World dances to the different drummer: Her illustration is probably where the saying comes from. World says ‘doing my own thing’ and World ‘minds her own business’ today.
The wreath can be interpreted in reverse at times – keeping her in, rather than World keeping entities out. Here we have the ‘keep her in the dark,’ and ‘excluded.’
Here is what makes sense of that illustration: World is ‘Master of Both Worlds,’ the highest title for a magician. It means rubbing shoulders with the angels and being able to work the demons too. She is dancing nude with wands (see Chariot and his powerful wands too – as well as Magician) in her private space, and all those bad-guy entities are not even looking her way.
Sometimes the World card is about an object, like a seawall or a filter … not today.

What if you found yourself in a room with each decade of yourself all together? And what if that included your future self, and even your toddler self – that you could speak with? Would you like one another? Would the things you ‘grew out of’ get in the way? Would things you didn’t grow into haunt the room for you? We are examining the line we draw in the etheric sand as time turns us into other things and makes us forget who we were as we move along … or makes us not want to remember that. We view the maturing process from the perspective of what we are adopting and what we are shedding as we go along in real time.
