Tarot Readings for You for May 6, 2014 Tuesday(c)
Guidance What keeps us from really connecting? – convention, right? Whether it is an individual we might click with, whether it is a subject or issue to even think about, whether it is our destiny, whether it is money, there is usually at least one obstacle to stumble us. Invisible lines in the sand keep us from going outside. Often we feel as if we made these red lines, but convention often superimposes them upon our internal lives, our private consciousness. Our focus today is on the limitations to the connections we should or could make; we don’t go any farther than that for the moment.

Now, Part Two,
Do you want to know a little, or a lot, about how this Tarot Verbatim™ thing works? If so,
*Go to Learn Tarot by Observing section below. This tells about the combined four pictures in the Tarot Readings – the pictures above here. It explains how these four cards get together in your mind to make the messages. HERE ARE PHRASES FOR ALL SIX 2-CARD COMBINATIONSis a stream-of-consciousness bridge to your subconscious if you use it regularly – people report.
*Go to Learn Tarot by Pictures. It is what each of the four cards, by itself, has to say. It shows you how that illustration makes that card’s meanings in today’s Spread. All the words of each Tarot card reading you see here are a phrase-by-phrase translation of the scene pictured on those cards: no filler, no psychic impressions, no spirit guide. Word-for-word Tarot Verbatim™.
You can put all this together and intuitively see yourself how Tarot Verbatim™ works.
This is a group reading, with no Questioner and no Question to limit what the cards say, so there’s more variety – even contradictions – and also the pronouns are more flexible. If it feels like it’s yours, and it says ‘he,’ and you’re a ‘she,’ feel free to adopt it anyway.
Hierophant – Eight of Swords – Lovers
.
…..
….. Hierophant and Eight of Swords Hierophant and Eight of Swords are about limitations – in different perspectives, of course. Hierophant is respectability, what is approved, protocol, routines, and going through channels. It is the routines and forms of religion as well, since the illustration is the pope. Eight of Swords’ main meaning is to be limited, tied up, prevented from – since its illustration is a female blindfolded and tied up in a swamp at some distance from her home on the hill.
….. ….. Lovers, on the other hand, is about connections, connecting, contacting, being together, a joint venture … ‘we’ or ‘us.’
……
…..Eight of Swords and Lovers make our main subject: the obstacles to connecting, the limitations to contacting, impossible love, people or things you cannot associate with.

Hierophant represents the inhibiting factors, the strictures, of the way things are supposed to be. It is both The Rules and the public face people and organizations have: the respectable pretenses. It is also ‘the official story,’ fit to print. This concept is represented by those monks kneeling before the pope in some official ceremony.
Eight of Swords represents the inhibiting factors, the strictures of anything and everything. It is being stuck or stifled; it is ‘can’t.’ It is paralysis, gridlock, disability, handicap, impossibility. It is ‘My hands are tied.’ It is ineffective and helpless. This is the lead death card, but it needs fellowship from some other cards to translate ‘death.’
Lovers is connectedness of all types. It is associating and contact. It is being looked out for, protected, or spied upon by ‘higher-ups.’ The angel protecting the couple brings this card into religion and spirituality. Its ‘protection’ meaning morphs into insurance too. Of course it means being in love, loved ones, love bond, etc.
