Tarot Readings for You for July 15, 2015 Wednesday©
GUIDANCE I deserve to accomplish the impossible, and I can’t help but get what I deserve. But if you pay people to be helpless, helpless will be the new normal. I can’t justify being a perfectionist, but the straight-and-narrow is right for me, within limitations. We trip over obstacles on our way to arriving, and that’s to be expected. It’s a few of the obstacles that get our attention today – things like ‘Lock up the cash.’

Justice – Eight of Swords – Ace of Pentacles
LEARN TAROT BY PICTURES
.………..
……….
.……..…….. Justice and Ace of Pentacles are both about Right. Justice also means should, and Ace of Pentacles also means success – speaking of main meanings, of course. When you have two cards in a three-card sentence that mean pretty much the same thing, you hope for the other card to be one that makes easy phrases with those two. The easy phrases, today, tend not to flow into the remaining third card (whichever it is). And of course the reading is about this sort of obstacle.
Eight of Swords is: impossible, can’t, prevent, blocked, limitation, being stymied, contained, locked up, bound, helpless or dead. The binding on the figure in the illustration spills over to mean, say, a binding contract, or legally bound, with Justice there next to it. Another sort of pun is ‘dead end road,’ with Eight of Swords being the actual death card, and Ace of Pentacles being a road. Entitled (Justice) to the money (Ace of Pentacles) is another such phrase.
We have an obstacle to what should be, to what we are entitled to: That is our story. We also have a money theme with ‘can’t’ (Eight of Swords), and we have money and lawyers (Justice and Ace of Pentacles), money and being in jail (with Eight of Swords and Ace of Pentacles).
We are miscellaneous today.
.
.
Justice…… Justice, of course, is about anything legal, legal proceedings, any law or regulation, litigation, decree, sue, courthouse, lawyers, police, etc.
The illustration on Justice would be lovely as stained glass. The scales in one hand and the upraised sword in the other say ‘law enforcement.’
Justice also means should, ought, entitled, deserve, sane, balanced, normal, okay, justify, right, ‘fine’ or ‘all right,’ fair, straight and going straight. These meanings are similar to some of Hierophant’s where Hierophant means things normal, acceptable and right.
Note that today we catch Justice and Ace of Pentacles saying ‘legal tender.’
Eight of Swords……..Eight of Swords shows a woman loosely tied up in swampy terrain, loosely blindfolded, surrounded by swords stuck only by the tips in the wet clay: a picture of helplessness. Eight of Swords acts as the lead card for death. (No, I don’t know why.) Its main translates are ‘can’t,’ ‘tied’ or ‘tied up’ and ‘impossible.’
Note that Eight of Swords represents the ‘can’t’ that really means ‘don’t want to’ or ‘not going to’ as well as an actual ‘can’t.’ It also picks up phrases that include ‘tied’ and ‘tied up,’ like ‘my hands are tied’ and ‘tied up in a lawsuit.’
Since Eight of Swords does mean death, it shows up for phrases like ‘dead end.’ Along the same line, you will find it indicating something is void, defunct, etc.
The binding on the figure in the illustration attracts phrases like a binding agreement or contract, and being kept or prevented from doing something.
Here are today’s words and phrases for Eight of Swords:
not being,
impossible, can’t help but, can’t, limitations, limited, limit
is tight,
handicapped person, disability,
lock up,
tied up,
binding,
block/blocked,
keep us from
dead end.
Ace of Pentacles………Ace of Pentacles illustrates ‘The Path.’ This picture claims that doing right, being on ‘The Path,’ or the straight-and-narrow is rewarded with money or success: the handful of gold suspended over the golden path. Ace of Pentacles is paired with Moon, which exemplifies ‘The Left-hand Path’ or road to hell. Ace of Pentacles’ sermon includes the lilies for purity at the forefront, and the rose trellis of victory at the end of the road. (The stylized idealistic cartoonish approach found in Ace of Pentacles is also in Ten of Cups.)
Today Ace of Pentacles isn’t being philosophical. Today, with Justice, it’s about being and doing right, and it’s about money.
Here are today’s words and phrases for Ace of Pentacles:
perfect, perfectionist,
accomplish,
get, what you possess,
money, cash, fair price, pay, paying, paid for, compensation, spend, reward, a fine, benefits,
straight-and-narrow, doing right,
road, route,
ring,
best.
.
.
The fact is, sometimes it can’t be done the right way. Our main point today is that limitations get in the way as you try to go straight. Sometimes, you don’t have the money for the lawyer, or you don’t get the money you deserve. Sometimes the law won’t let you do the right thing … especially lately here, you know? We liken these obstacles to road conditions: Sometimes the road is blocked, and sometimes that’s a limited access highway. You don’t have to be perfect because you are subject to limitations, but, nevertheless, here you are on the right path headed in the right direction. Back in the day when honesty was in vogue, there was a phrase people used often: honorable intentions. Today’s message is trying to revive that phrase.
