Knight of Swords – See him run. He and Knight of Wands are twins in Tarot Verbatim™. Knight of Swords is hurry, speed, rush, fast, instant. It is also all sorts of directions of movement: pursue is in the picture here, but he means flee as well (as does his twin). He leaves, and he chases (romance, usually). He means to turn around, to change or switch direction, and even to go back and forth. So Knight of Swords also speaks of ‘turning things around’ and means reversals as well. So it’s no anchor card. Today it speaks of a market correction, which is a reversal.

This Knight of Swords is one of the many cards that can say ‘again.’ So naturally he means ‘not anymore’ as well.
Two of Wands – That’s the man that owns the town – got the world in his hand. The story for this illustration is that Mr. Mogul is looking at his properties below the ramparts of his castle there, planning on how to make more profit. So planning, business, and profit belong to Two of Wands.

He is about financial security, the future, stability and security, and real estate. He is about investments, and can even refer to your pension or your bank account. Two of Wands is a banker, lender, real estate broker, loan officer, and general all-round mogul. Two of Wands translates ‘for sure’ sometimes.

But these are not his mainstay meanings, of course. He mainly translates re the future, and a plan or planning. Today he means a good outlook, ‘it pays to,’ a profitable business, to make a living, and ‘your money.’

This is one of the Tarot cards that makes other cards future tense, or gives them future phrases like ‘will’ and ‘going to.’

Several times today, Two of Wands uses more than one of its meanings strung together: going to be planning on; will be financially secure.
High Priestess – She knows all, High Priestess, and she isn’t telling either. This is yet another card that has many meanings that are unrelated (related only by the picture and the fact she is ‘the feminine principle’ because she is the 2 of the major arcanae.

The ‘knows and doesn’t do’ is the reverse of Magician, the male principle of action, who acts and does not think. (I don’t make this up!) The knowing of High Priestess extends to this card representing higher education, being an expert (or expertise itself), and even a data bank.

Well, you see a seated woman with a book in her lap. ‘Seated’ indicates sedentary, and she is, as the 2, passive, receptive, and not active. (She doesn’t answer the phone, she minds her own business, she stays put.) She can be a secretary, a bookkeeper, or someone who is home based – home based in business with Two of Wands nearby.

High Priestess is all woman … is a lady even. She is ‘the other woman’: Remember this; it comes in handy. (I figure that’s because she sits and home and is secretive.)
