Nine of Pentacles .…….. Nine of Pentacles has, like Jackie Kennedy, landed on her feet and outlived the bastard who tormented her. She is the ‘living well’ of ‘Living well is the best revenge.’ She has a life she is content with; she has enough (her definition of ‘enough’), and she is at peace at her home with its vineyard and its falcon. ‘Tis midday and she is in her robe training that falcon. The snail at her feet tells us she can afford to do things in her own sweet time. She is content with her life, not necessarily wealthy. She is private, probably single, and is in charge of her circumstances.

Moon …………. Moon is things filthy, things wrecked past repair, the wrong way … the wrong anything. Moon is being lost in the swamp where even the lobster has lost it, and the dog knows no better than to cavort with the coyote. It takes several of the best Tarot cards to bring Moon up past yuk to yum.

Five of Swords………. The world is full of this fellow’s countrymen, and we all meet them every day. He is looking out for number one and enjoys jerking us around … see his smirk there? He is the double-crosser, the bully, the thief, the bastard. But Five of Swords goes both ways: It is also getting even with your tormentor, revenge, and beating a bad situation, like an illness or other disaster. It can be to ‘pull it off,’ as Six of Wands, a similar card, can. (Note there’s a legitimate use for just about every bad attitude and vice there is.)
