Temperance means a close relationship between two people, and Two of Swords means ‘no’ or ‘none’ or other such negatory word. = +..So Nine of Pentacles equals Temperance plus Two of Swords. Our readings therefore are focused and limited to this concept. The concept is of course ‘Being single and not having a partner.’
Unrelated meanings for the involved cards are few. Those unrelated meanings are what make new concepts. Temperance means healing, means being intimate, and also means to reciprocate or to communicate. It means to deal with, or a deal, as well.
