Tarot Readings for You for November 18, 2014 Tuesday©

GUIDANCE        We are talking about how sometimes the same thing that gets on your last nerve … that causes headaches, sleepless nights and nasty stress … no longer has that effect on you at some other time. We are looking at the angst separate and apart from what we think caused it. The truth is, oftentimes it’s body chemistry *that attaches to whatever is going on for not much reason at all* that causes the symptoms we call worry. In other words, I think I’m worried about the rent, but if the rent were paid, my body’s state would have me worrying about some other damn thing. We point out the pointlessness of the whole angst thing here, reminding ourselves that the worry can go away independent of the situation that we think caused it. We suggest leaving the worry behind is a lot simpler if you appreciate its separate nature.

Tarot Readings: Get Out of That Scene (Seven of Cups and Six of Swords)

Get out of each and every situation that distresses you.

I’m leaving angst and confusion behind: bye-bye!

I got out of a situation that was falling apart; it used to get to me.

I’m not there anymore to be the one to worry about the mess.

Exiting before the nightmare hits the fan.

Worrying about every damn little thing: Exit that scene!

Not hanging around here sick at heart and in brain-fog.

I’m not terrified of losing control anymore.

I’m sorry I lose control, and I won’t do that anymore.

No more fear and no more nasty surprises.

……….…………

Tarot Readings: I Get Over the Stress (Nine of Swords and Six of Swords)

You annoy me no end with your dramas – not anymore, though.

No reason to, you just phase out of not sleeping at night.

I used to worry about the stupidest things.

I got over the headaches, just out of the blue.

I am so stressed until I realize it’s not supposed to make sense – then I’m recovering.

Don’t cry over spilt milk.

Oh that was such a bad bad dream, but it’s over, okay?

Things are going to be so much better after chaos getting on my last nerve.

I got over being scatterbrained and anxious about everything.

Listen, your worries are over precisely because it all fell to pieces.

……….…………

Tarot Readings: Going Through a Worry Phase (Nine of Swords and Six of Swords)

All kinds of things get on your nerves on your way out.

Listen, it’s all b.s. that has you up nights: Better times are ahead.

Just going through a phase of my nerves being shot.

You worry someone’s going to leave? – that’s crazy!

Life goes on after grief shatters it.

Now, Part Two,

Do you want to know a little, or a lot, about how this Tarot Verbatim™ thing works? If so,

*Go to Learn Tarot by Observing section below. This tells about the combined three pictures in the Tarot Readings – the pictures above here.  It explains how these three cards get together in your mind to make the messages. HERE ARE PHRASES FOR ALL THREE 2-CARD COMBINATIONS is a stream-of-consciousness bridge to your subconscious if you use it regularly – people report.

*Go to Learn Tarot by Pictures.  It is what each of the three cards, by itself, has to say.  It shows you how that illustration makes that card’s meanings in today’s Spread. All the words of each Tarot card reading you see here are a phrase-by-phrase translation of the scene pictured on those cards: no filler, no psychic impressions, no spirit guide. Word-for-word Tarot Verbatim™.

You can put all this together and intuitively see yourself how Tarot Verbatim™ works.

This is a group reading, with no Questioner and no Question to limit what the cards say, so there’s more variety – even contradictions – and also the pronouns are more flexible. If it feels like it’s yours, and it says ‘he,’ and you’re a ‘she,’ feel free to adopt it anyway.

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

.

……………….…………………..     With Nine of Swords (nightmare, worry, fear, stress, crying) and Seven of Cups (things fall apart, chaos, makes no sense, brain-fog and confusion), well, we should have bad news readings here. But we don’t. Once again, a card with a negative application saves our butt: Six of Swords means putting it behind, getting over it, and leaving a bad scene. For those of you who read this site to learn Tarot, always remember to look for the relief card when you have the ‘bad cards.’

………………………..      Nine of Swords is one of those what-you-see-is-what-you-get cards in any self-respecting deck. A person upright in bed in the dark of night, hands to head in our classical pose of grief, worry, fear and angst. And that is what Nine of Swords means … of course.

………………………..    Seven of Cups shows a cloud of dust with all sorts of meaningless items in it, and in the middle is one that is covered and has an energy border around it. A black-robed figure stands back in panic. This is the Sorcerer’s Apprentice story or Pandora’s Box story. In both of them the evil spirits are on the loose, no way to put them back in the box, but the good spirit is there to be freed to counterbalance them. Often this card registers to modern people as that impolite phrase ‘The shit hits the fan’ because it fits so well.

………………………..      Not today, but Seven of Cups can be debris and the cloud can be a storm. This card especially matches tsunamis and lava flows.

………………………..      Six of Swords is leaving the bad scene, leaving something behind and going to a better situation or place. It is both a depressing and a hopeful card. It says it doesn’t hurt anymore, it’s over, you lived through it, and there’s better times ahead. Fairly often Six of Swords just adds ‘anymore’ to your sentences.

………..…………..     Nine of Swords and Seven of Cups      Nine of Swords and Seven of Cups is when your nerves are shattered, when you are stressed and in fear about all sorts of things, or in fear unreasonably – imaginary fears. These two Tarot cards in Tarot Verbatim™ also say ‘worried about losing control’ or ‘worried that things are out of control.’ They say ‘I’m sorry I lost control.’ Nine of Swords is all about nerves, stress, fear; Seven of Cups is shattered, is ‘all sorts of things,’ is ‘unreasonably’ and ‘imaginary’ and is also, obviously, out of control.

………..…………..      Nine of Swords and Six of Swords      Nine of Swords and Six of Swords reminds me of the old country bar song that howls ‘It don’t hurt anymore.’ Nine of Swords is feeling distress; Six of Swords is getting over it and leaving the worst behind for the better. Each of these cards can be about grief, and each can be about depression. ..

……………………      Seven of Cups and Six of Swords    Seven of Cups and Six of Swords depict several things. Things are clearing up, you could say, because the confusion of Seven of Cups is over … because we got out (Six of Swords) before the poop hit the fan (Seven of Cups) … because the brain-fog is lifting.

..      Seven of Cups and Six of Swords also describe not making a mess of things (Seven of Cups) anymore (Six of Swords). They also say ‘no more (Six of Cups) nasty surprises (Seven of Cups). Six of Cups has this ‘not anymore’ feel to it, often. ..

I am inviting myself to separate my troubles from my reactions to my troubles, because free-floating worry and metabolic anxiety are perfectly capable of attaching to whatever it is that is going on in my life, and I only want to worry about the actual obstacle, not its shadows.

Nine of Swords ……… Nine of Swords is one of those transparent cards, one whose meanings so clearly arise from its illustration that no explanation is really necessary, except to bring up some useful synonyms for ‘worry’ and ‘anxiety’ so as not to parrot oneself. You can see ‘worried sick’ in the pose of this insomniac, and you can see grief as well. Once in a while Tarot uses this card (with some others) to indicate something happened at night.

.

Seven of Cups…………. Seven of Cups In the story of both Sorcerer’s Apprentice and Pandora’s Box, there is a good spirit still trapped (under the cloth there in the middle of this illustration) when the evil spirits escape.

Seven of Cups is suddenly being confronted by the mess, the expose, the scandal, the nasty surprise or the unintended consequences of our acts. It can also mean things like: nonsense, senseless, b.s., garbled words, and shock.

.

Six of Swords………. Six of Swords is getting out while the getting is good, putting the bad situation or scene behind, and ‘living to fight another day.’ You have lived through it, and you are on to something else. There is a ‘not anymore’ feel to Six of Swords. It can also be traveling overseas or over a body of water.
