Page of Swords – Think adrenaline when you see this overwrought fellow. Page of Swords is anxiety states – any and all of them. Here today he is excited, turned on, jealous, upset, annoyed, mad, worked up, nervous, anxious, touchy, high-strung, has the jitters, and is on pins-and-needles – not to mention, it gets to him. Page of Swords commonly means ‘thrilled’ as well, just not today.

Death – This is – in Tarot Verbatim™ the simplest card. (Other systems have a more logical meaning for it, that it just doesn’t appear as in Tarot Verbatim™.) So, here, Death is a negator card, a card that supplies negative words like no, not, can’t, isn’t, don’t, doesn’t, etc.

Death’s other main meaning is ‘the end,’ it’s over, end it, stop.

Death can mean ‘the deceased’ and can translate ‘death’ but it isn’t a lead card for that – something else introduces the subject most of the time. And even then, Death is likely to refer to the death of an idea, or object.
Ace of Cups – Ace of Cups is a diagram of a person spreading spirituality to other people through being infused with God’s spirit. It mainly means love (all kinds of good love), love affair, love relationship.

Ace of Cups shows this flow, and many of its meanings reflect ‘going with the flow.’ Agree, accepted, cooperation, calm, mellow, getting along, friend.

Ace of Cups is ‘good’ anything, including good health. It means cure too, and it says ‘help for.’ It also translates ‘no harm’ since it is ‘all good.’ Watch for it to say both: all good, no harm. Benefit without restriction.

Death, in Tarot Verbatim™, is the purest negator card – the purest negative modifier. It makes opposite meanings, so you rely on the question, the knowns, and the neighboring cards, to figure out what Death is up to in your Tarot Verbatim™ spread. So we look to the neighboring Tarot cards since we don’t have a question or any knowns in our blog here. Note that – here – Death can make “Not anxious about my love life” and “Anxious about not having a love life.” This is the way Death operates in our Tarot system. (Were I making the system up myself, it would not be like this, but Tarot Verbatim™ is from the Tarot Horse’s mouth – not mine. And Tarot has its ways, as you know if you do Tarot.)

Leaving out the negative, and letting Page of Swords and Ace of Cups relate to one another, you have an exciting love affair, thrilled to be in love, afraid it’s true love, nervous about cooperating, and mad at God. And there sits Death to negate and nullify any of this.

We all (or most of us humans that are well-meaning) walk about with a yes-no switch operating in our gut. The ‘yes’ switch says to go ahead, cooperate, go with the flow, it’s safe and it’s all right to just let it be. The ‘no’ switch is Nervous Nellie. It tells us to ‘look out.’ We go around half aware of these poles most of the time. Being aware of them makes us better pilots through the murk of our circumstances which we do not design or create.
