Seven of Cups Awry. Good word for Seven of Cups, the story of either Sorcerer’s Apprentice or Pandora’s Box. Things are fractured, broken, pieces are scattered. An uncontrollable mess. Out of your mind, brain fog, confusing, out of control. Scrambled words, garbled messages. Unrelated things or thoughts jumbled together. Dumfounded at the bullshit. The illustration shows the human in shock at having lost control of the magic elements he called upon which appear in a cloud of cups.
Star is feeling good all over, pictured singing while bathing in some happy ceremony, pouring some pitchers into the water … bubble bath, right? This is a ceremony or performance, and words as well as water are flowing or gushing – hence the meaning of telling all, or confessing (especially confessing love). Feeling good all over associates with good health. The water pouring out can be a flood when Seven of Cups joins in the story.
Ten of Cups Any group of people: couple, family, neighborhood, community – and *municipal up to national* political groups. It has a positive application. (A negative application along those same lines is Ten of Pentacles.) Happy is its main meaning, especially today in the company of Star. Pictured is the stereotypical ‘American dream’: house in the suburbs with two kids, and a rainbow over the house to make ‘happily ever after’ glaringly apparent.
Judgment shows people recovering from being dead, hopping up out of the grave happy to be alive again. The angel is making a big public announcement with his trumpet. The fact that it’s judgment day makes this one of the legal cards – but not today. Recovery, coming back, making an announcement, anything happening again, a surprise, suddenly – all these words and phrases belong to Judgment. So does just about any word that has the prefix ‘re.’
