… .. …..

There is no chaos ‘out there.’

A dream you don’t remember.

Don’t lose control of the vision.

A lot of things I am not aware of.

No longer amazed by psychic insights.

A cloud that is not what you recognize.

You are not confused; you are catching on.

Don’t be shocked; it’s just inspiration this time.

You’re not crazy; you’re seeing things as they are.

When your imagination runs away with you, you are not aware of it.

.

Tarot Readings: Seven of Cups and Hanged Man

… .. … ..

All sorts of inspired ideas are suppressed.

Realize I’m too far out, and put the brakes on.

You know what’s out of control, and what’s not.

You realize you have gone too far, you stop there.

Flashes of dreams that don’t get all the way through.

You sense things are a mess and want no part of this.

When my subconscious gets loose, I just can’t go there.

You think someone is too weird and have nothing to do with (him).

A peak experience scrambles your brain and stops you in your tracks.

.

Tarot Readings: Two of Swords and Hanged Man

No insight makes you crazy.

I don’t want to see that vision.

You are awake; it’s not a bad dream.

Gee, I didn’t realize how messy the place is.

When you don’t have insight, life is confusing.

Suddenly aware of all the things I’m blocking.

Choosing not to understand some of these things.

Psychic impressions don’t get through; they don’t make sense.

.

Seven of Cups Losing control is Seven of Cups’ core meaning because the story is the sorcerer’s apprentice sneaking into the workshop thinking he can call up the spirits and get them to do tricks like the boss does. This part of Seven of Cups’ meaning brings words and phrases like these: what’s out of control, chaos, confusing, don’t make sense, too far out, gone too far, how messy the place is, things are a mess, and anything about a cloud, because of the cloud in the illustration.

.

So those spirits are all over the place, which gives Seven of Cups words and phrases like these: a lot of things, all sorts of things, all the things, some of the things, turned loose, got loose.

.

The fellow’s shocked and amazed reaction when confronted with the fulminating entities brings any word or phrase that expresses that feeling, including: crazy, too weird, makes you crazy, when your imagination runs away with you, scrambles your brain – and of course both ‘shocked’ and ‘amazed’ and all their cousins.

.

Seven of Cups also is dreams, including bad dreams. Dreams are unstructured and make no sense like the illustration here.

.

Both Sorcerer’s Apprentice and Pandora’s Box stories have the good spirit released after the bad ones, so that there is hope. That good spirit of hope is the veiled cup, top center.

Two of SwordsTwo of Swords is a simple one. The odd illustration shows a woman in nightdress whose crossed arms balance two double-bladed heavy swords. The idea here is stasis: a balance that is an impasse too. The ‘X’ her arms and the swords make express the ‘no way’ meanings of this card. Two of Swords is one of the main negators in Tarot Verbatim™. It means any negative phrase, anything with a ‘not’ or a ‘didn’t’ or a ‘no’ or a ‘can’t,’ or a ‘no longer’ in it.

.

Two of Sword means to block, which would include a roadblock, not getting all the way through, and words like: block, impasse, stasis, stuck.

.

Lastly are phrases which have the same meaning as these but are more poetic or descriptive. Examples are: suppressed, brakes on, want no part of this, stop there, can’t go there, have nothing to do with, stops you in your tracks, and so on.

Hanged Man Hanged Man describes the moment a subconscious awareness becomes a conscious realization. You have to know the story here. Several myths involve the main character giving up a body part or function to gain ‘wisdom,’ by which is meant psychic insight, psychic abilities, magic powers. The stories involve, strangely enough, hanging on a tree for three days.

.

So Hanged Man translates anything about psychism: vision, inspired ideas, peak experience, flashes, psychic insight, psychic impression, eureka, déjà vu, and visions.

.

But Hanged Man also belongs to the very ordinary know, realize, understand, recognize, aware category of Tarot meanings, and very frequently will translate ‘realize.’

. ….. ..

Hanged Man ‘ gets it’ and Seven of Cups is confused. Two of Swords stands by to put the negative on either one of them. Both Seven of Cups and Hanged Man involve non-physical realities intruding in our real world.

.

Let’s first list the phrases Two of Swords, the negative, makes with Seven of Cups: It’s not a bad dream (because Seven of Cups is nightmare); don’t be shocked ( Seven of Cups is shocking); not confused ( Seven of Cups is confusion); no chaos or not chaos, or even not a mess ( Seven of Cups is chaos, or a mess).

.

Now let’s look at the negative phrases Two of Swords makes with Hanged Man: not let myself understand; don’t have insight; didn’t realize; feeling in my gut doesn’t make sense; no insight; suppress ideas; not aware or un aware.

.

Seven of Cups and Hanged Man are about nonphysical realities: Hanged Man is subconscious (or superconscious) awareness, and Seven of Cups is otherworldly critters let loose. Seven of Cups also is an assortment of unrelated parts or items, and Hanged Man is also: to realize, or to be aware. These meanings allow the two cards that mean very similar things to make cogent sentences for us.

.

So here are things Seven of Cups and Hanged Man get together and say: suddenly aware of all sorts of things; understand various things; realize how messy; realize you’ve gone too far or are out of control; flashes of dreams; sense things are a mess; the subconscious turned loose; you think something is weird; psychic experience scrambles your brain; amazing psychic insights or visions; and even to remember dreams. Hanged Man and Seven of Cups also describe catching on to the b. s. or seeing through the propaganda.

.

These three cards together suggest that there’s such a thing as going too far when it comes to paranormal experiences, yet also advise against suppressing inspired visionary realizations.

Tarot Readings for You for December 5, 2014 Friday©

GUIDANCE   You would have everything you want if you would want only the things you have. Stumbling toward the parking brake on the vehicle of our wish list, here, we are! More in the humble way than the phony way. We are going to let ourselves enjoy the current reality, whatever it is, because gratitude deters the demons and being content prevents madness. As long as things are not in an uproar, they are okay. I like it best when it’s uncomplicated. Being grateful for things we don’t have, and things we didn’t do – for preventions and near-misses: That’s some good medicine. Being grateful for whatever level of sanity and awareness we currently possess: Feel good about that too! Not wanting to suffer: Now, that’s a fine wish! – and not wanting to drive other people crazy either.

.

Are YOU here for the first time? Come in!

Now, Part Two,

Do you want to know a little, or a lot, about how this Tarot Verbatim™ thing works? If so,

*Go to Learn Tarot by Observing section below. This tells about the combined three pictures in the Tarot Readings – the pictures above here.  It explains how these three cards get together in your mind to make the messages. HERE ARE PHRASES FOR ALL THREE 2-CARD COMBINATIONS is a stream-of-consciousness bridge to your subconscious if you use it regularly – people report.

*Go to Learn Tarot by Pictures.  It is what each of the three cards, by itself, has to say.  It shows you how that illustration makes that card’s meanings in today’s Spread. All the words of each Tarot card reading you see here are a phrase-by-phrase translation of the scene pictured on those cards: no filler, no psychic impressions, no spirit guide. Word-for-word Tarot Verbatim™.

You can put all this together and intuitively see yourself how Tarot Verbatim™ works.

This is a group reading, with no Questioner and no Question to limit what the cards say, so there’s more variety – even contradictions – and also the pronouns are more flexible. If it feels like it’s yours, and it says ‘he,’ and you’re a ‘she,’ feel free to adopt it anyway.

Seven of Cups – Nine of Cups – Two of Swords

.

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

.

……………….……………………    Elements of this story are (1) what we want and what we enjoy, contentment or gratitude, in Nine of Cups; (2) all sorts of things, or being out of control, in Seven of Cups; (3) ‘no way’ or a negative modifier, in Two of Swords. At first I saw the ‘Stop the greed before it gets the best of you’ sides of these three Rider Waite Tarot cards; then I saw all the satisfaction in how things aren’t. The gist of our one-sentence readings is to enjoy what you do have, enjoy some of those things you have managed not to have, and to wish for a good overall life, whatever that entails, for yourself … as well as to wish that you don’t cross other people up.

……………………….. Seven of Cups is losing it, is too much stuff, is clutter and debris: Seven of Cups is a mess. That is its main application. It means to be in shock. The story here is the accidental release of gremlins. They are all over the place and the magician who messed up cannot control them. This story is both or either the Sorcerer’s Apprentice or Pandora’s Box. Seven of Cups is the chaos factor, the oops, confusion, and being overwhelmed. Seven of Cups is malware. Seven of Cups is organ collapse on a large scale.

Seven of Cups also describes anything scattered or dispersed randomly: clutter, debris, pieces of something that fell apart or was destroyed, smoke or fog, spills (including major spills of oil, radiation or whatever). The cloud can also tell you about a storm, there.

………………………..   Nine of Cups is enjoying, is contentment, is having it all, or is having what you want. ‘Want’ is its most common translate. It is also excess, having too much, or greed. It translates some words you would not foresee, such as: glad; ‘that’s all I ask’; ‘that’s the way I like it – or what I like best is’; grateful; ‘everything is going great’; ‘the good life’ as well as ‘wanting it all.’ The concept is well-illustrated by the chubby fellow who apparently drank all ten of those big glasses behind him on the mantle. Think of the slogan ‘I can’t believe I ate the whole thing’ for Nine of Cups.

……………………….. Two of Swords reminds me of the railroad ‘No Crossing’ signs, and that is what it means: No way; stop; the end; can’t do; dead end. Very similar to the application of Death, and reminds you of Four of Cups and Eight of Swords (stuck, helpless) too. A woman in a slip and slippers is blindfolded and holds two heavy double-edged swords crossed in such a way they are balanced opposing one another. She obviously can’t use them. Her back is to a body of water as she sits on a stone bench on pavement, in the middle of the night. Two of Swords is a negative modifier, and it also means ‘can go no farther, dead end’ and ‘the end’ or ‘ends up.’

………..…………..  Seven of Cups and Nine of Cups   Seven of Cups and Nine of Cups are both too much stuff, but in very different ways. Seven of Cups is clutter or debris or a confusion of articles (like a messy filing system). Nine of Cups is just too much of something, including too much of a good thing.

x..  Together, Seven of Cups and Nine of Cups suggest greed gone awry or being overwhelmed by greed, or suggest getting carried away by imagination – but not with today’s Two of Swords nipping that in the bud. Today, with the parking brake on, these two in Tarot Verbatim™ are about being grateful for all sorts of things, or gratitude gone wild.

x..   Ordinarily, Seven of Cups and Nine of Cups would be about wanting to wreak havoc, destroy, confuse, get high, sabotage or get something or someone out of control or out of order. Ordinarily, left to their own devices, these two Rider Waite Tarot cards describe being happy about the gremlins’ work, in that illustration. Take a peek at the Two-Card Combinations section for these two cards; it’s a giggle! x..

………..…………..   Seven of Cups and Two of Swords   Seven of Cups and Two of Swords are an example of the ‘repair card’ operation. Most of Seven of Cups’ meanings are fairly scary (out of control, a mess, things broken and scattered, confusion, etc.) and Two of Swords puts a stop to them, blocks them, and says ‘not,’ so that Seven of Cups makes the sentence say: not out of control, isn’t a mess, wasn’t broken, not scattered, not confused.

x.. You can also encounter, in English at least, the double negative that makes a positive, as in ‘no uncontrollable’ of ‘No uncontrollable desire.’ Seven of Cups’ meanings include a loss of order, loss of control, etc., and Two of Swords can cancel that out – at least in English. I don’t know how this would work in languages in which two negatives just mean a negative. x..

……………………  Nine of Cups and Two of Swords  Nine of Cups and Two of Swords instantly suggest ‘not too much’ if you know a little Tarot. With interpretation being a two-way Tarot street, these two say both ‘I don’t want’ and ‘I want it to not’ – which are totally different. Being grateful something is not (whatever) belongs to this pair of cards. An invisible ‘if’ haunts this pair, as in ‘Enjoy it if it’s not,’ and the ‘if’ there can also be a ‘when.’ No other card need be present to open the door to the if or the when here. x..

We come to realize that, no, if I got one of every little thing I wanted, I would have no room in the house to move. We ruminate upon cleaning out our dream closets, our wish lists – paring them down to the size of what we actually can accommodate and use. While we’re at it, we take a look at the things we hoped would never happen that didn’t, which don’t take up any closet space, and we inventory them anyway. We inventory them for another closet, another list: a walk-in gratitude closet we promise to fill as we emptied the other.

Seven of Cups ……… Seven of Cups is the reason for the risk management industry, for actuaries, and for the automatic skid control on vehicles. Seven of Cups is the chaos factor lurking in the Laws of Random Distribution. Seven of Cups is unintended consequences. Seven of Cups is ‘Oops!’ This is its main meaning, which arises directly from the release of troublemaking spirits out of Pandora’s Box, or from the ‘Oops!’ of the Sorcerer’s Apprentice that also released evil spirits. The veiled cup with the red energy halo over its contents represents the lone good spirit whose function it is to counterbalance the chaos. (Any volunteers?)

But Seven of Cups also represents imagination, being high, going wild, and anything in the spirit world except holy angels or Divinity. It represents being confused or not understanding something, or something not making sense or not adding up, that would make one go ‘Huh?”

Nine of Cups …………. Nine of Cups appearing as the first Self card in a spread indicates that, whatever this is, it benefits the inquirer. Think Sinatra’s ‘I did it my way.’ There’s a ‘Your wish is granted’ function to this card that makes readers refer to it with those words. Yes, it has other meanings, but even when it just interprets ‘want’ or ‘wants’ there’s a whiff of positivity to it. Its other common meanings may as well be synonyms of ‘want,’ such words and phrases as: contentment; gratitude; enjoy; happy, satisfied; glad, desire, like or like best, the good life or life is good, everything is going great.

The shadow side of Nine of Cups is excess, greed, too much, and an ‘I’ve got mine’ attitude.

Two of Swords …………. Two of Swords is one of the ‘No!’ Tarot cards, one of the negators in Tarot Verbatim™. It often means ‘can’t,’ seeing as how the gal in her nightshirt is blindfolded and balances two heavy double-edged swords so that there’s no way she could wield one. It means ‘blocked’ quite often too, since you see an ‘X’ in the illustration (the swords of course) and those swords do block one another. Another common meaning for this Tarot card is ‘the end’ or ‘ends up.’
