Guidance

A RECIPE FOR YOUR REALITY:  Think of the events in your situation as pills or food items: You don’t have to take them!   You can make the best use of them! You can choose what use to make of them.  Sometimes, they are spoiled or too old, expired, and you can throw them out!  They are ingredients, but your life is your recipe, and you are in the kitchen assembling the meal with those ingredients sitting on the counter.  You decide how you are going to use and handle them, what flavorings to use and when to use them.  The worst, most tragic and humiliating experiences do not have to be taken full strength or even taken at all: By our attitude, our discipline and our optimistic faith we diminish the effect, we avoid or prevent the experience or its consequences, or we even slip into ‘duh’ mode and don’t get it until it’s way past.   Some of my most brilliant moves have been blunders.   It’s marvelous when we can be that stupid: been there myself a lot!  Sometimes ‘not getting it’ is a splendid defense and a splendid strategy !

A subconscious link to the divine puts you on a path out of failures.

Tarot Readings: Physical Health by Faith and Optimism (Ace of Cups and Fool)

Ace of Cups Fool

Yes, you are on your way to good health free of pain and suffering.

It’s so healthy to just get over the bad part and not think about it

Optimistic about being in great health once the pain is over.

I am healthy, I am no victim anymore.

Damn the torpedoes, I’m going ahead intact.

Tarot Readings: Feeling No Pain (Fool and Ten of Swords

Tarot Readings: It Doesn’t Hurt Anymore (Six of Swords and Ten of Swords)

Six of Swords Ten of Swords

It doesn’t hurt any more – am free to be in love

Forget about suffering for love, and go on with a new phase

Six of Swords

Six of Swords

Time to move on to a better place, a better life. This one is used up. Phasing out of this and into something better, like ‘Just let me be in love and the pain will be over.’ Relocating to where we can succeed is the kind of moving Six of Swords in Rider Waite Tarot speaks of. Illustrated by a woman and child in a crude open rowboat on a gray day leaving, moving on out, with no possessions.

Ace of Cups
Ace of Cups

Divine spirit infuses the senses and flows wherever it is going. The five streams flowing out of the fountain represent the senses, with the white dove putting the wafer into the flow. This is Roman Catholic symbols, probably from Ste. Teresa d’Avila’s Interior Castle, a dense book considered by some universities as the seminal work of Western mysticism. Back in the day Europeans were first discovering Tarot, the people needed to prove Tarot wasn’t unholy (just as some people need to now). Ace of Cups means good, good health or being well, a flow, spirituality and God, harmless, love, healing, being in good shape.

Fool

Fool

Being attuned to a higher consciousness insulates one from the concerns of the mundane physical world, this Rider Waite Tarot card suggests. Fool’s attuned to that ‘different drummer,’ for sure, and is, somehow, not going to go over the cliff. Fool is the state of being free, free-spirited, free-minded. You could say God protects Fools and drunks.

Ten of Swords
Ten of Swords

You always hope for a negative modifier with Ten of Swords. You don’t have to guess about its meaning either: a person pinned to the ground by ten swords in the back is suffering the worst pain, has endured fiasco, disaster, humiliation, pain and treachery. Bad outcome is putting it mildly. It means a martyred mood and a person who will stab you in the back in its milder applications.

Now Without The Pictures

Both Six of Swords and Fool refer to good times ahead (optimism) in different ways: Six of Swords is putting some bad times behind and the future is better because the past is terrible; Fool is simply free of taking the physical realm too seriously. Together, they say ‘Don’t dwell on feeling sorry for yourself.’

Six of Swords and Fool Six of Swords and Fool are also both free of (Fool) or getting free of (Six of Swords). They both can refer to a new phase, with Six of Swords phasing out of one thing and into another, and Fool starting something new.

And besides those two, Fool feels no pain, and Six of Swords is getting over it.

Ace of Cups and Fool  refer to spirituality. Ace of Cups is specifically God-oriented, and Fool is about having a spiritual mindset whilst in the body, and having an open mind. Ace of Cups’ illustration in Rider Waite, and therefore its meaning in Tarot Verbatim™, includes channeling the presence of God or Holy Spirit. Ace of Cups means good health and anything being in good shape. Fool is faith, optimism, assumption (and that open mind). Fool can mean not being present, even. Fool can refer, easily, to a maverick sort of person – quirky, eccentric, disregarding self-interest and good sense, a free spirit. Freedom. Fool ignores and disregards, as well … damn those torpedoes. Fool is no loser, though!

Ten of Swords is a disaster card in such good company today we are spared the brunt of his full effect. The self-pity and personal suffering Ten of Swords represents is countered here in these ways:

Fool avoids, dismisses, ignores and is oblivious to Ten of Swords’ disaster, humiliation and devastation. Fool forgets the pain. Fool’s optimism is very counter to Ten of Swords despair.

Six of Swords is also avoiding Ten of Swords’ suffering. It is getting over it, steering away from it, living through and surviving it, and is making a path out of the failure. Getting over the worst of it, these two cards clearly say.

Ace of Cups simply counters Ten of Sword’s effect with its healing, its health, and its being in such good shape.

Tarot Readings for You for June 24, 2013 Monday(c)

Guidance     The worst does not happen. The person in question pulls out of a potential disaster beforehand, whether the pulling out is gradual or like the gunning of an engine. The feeling of narrow escape is here, though: no rejoicing is mentioned. We have two pairs of cards that say exactly the same thing very clearly: a close call.

Instructions: Are YOU here for the first time? Come in! People love this place! Our site is divided into four sections: Guidance, Tarot Readings, Learn Tarot by Observation, and Learn Tarot by Pictures.

.
If you just want your daily look ahead, Guidance and Tarot Readings are all you need. ‘Guidance’ is a summary of what the cards are generally advising visitors to be aware of that day. ‘Tarot Readings’ is the actual word for word messages to everyone. So, go ahead and pick the sentences you feel are yours and decide whether to encourage or reject them for yourself. THEN, the family of commenters here would love for you to join in.

Ten of Swords

Five of Pentacles – Knight of Wands – Six of Swords

.

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

.

This is a rare spread; it grips one’s attention right away. We have a pair of cards that mean very much the same thing paired with yet another pair that means pretty much the same thing. This is emphasis, usually – saying the same thing twice.

Another thing that is attention-getting: This spread is a great example of how an abundance of ‘bad’ cards don’t have to mean bad things. Especially when the cards that pair the baddies both mean escaping, putting something behind, getting over, and avoiding – and those would of course be Knight of Wands and Six of Swords.

Knight of Wands is getting out in a hurry. (Yes, it can also be pursuing, but not today, obviously.) Six of Swords is leaving a bad scene like a refugee, putting it behind you, and tomorrow’s another day that will be better because it could not be worse. So you can see they are not usually such welcome cards as they are today.

Five of Pentacles and Ten of Swords both mean suffering, sickness, losing, humiliation, bankruptcy, disaster. Ten of Swords means ‘the worst’ and betrayal or double-cross. Five of Pentacles is being so numb with despair and misery, like bums on the street in the freezing weather who are also injured, that you do not see relief in front of your face.

So Five of Pentacles and Ten of Swords are very similar cards. Seeing them together in a four-card spread, you are happy that they are paired with cards that mean escape and avoid.

LEARN TAROT BY PICTURES

.

Five of Pentacles is ‘dark night of the soul,’ a spiritual term, and ‘bums on the street,’ a literal interpretation of the illustration. The freezing and injured mother and son are sick and destitute, numb with despair and in rags as they pass by without noticing a warm place that would feed them (back then): a cathedral.

Knight of Wands calls to mind ‘get out of Dodge.’ It can mean to pursue or to flee, depending on the question or issue. The illustration shows fleeing, more. He is sitting back in the saddle, not poking his weapon out.

Six of Swords is putting the bad experience or the bad place behind. It says the future will be better, you will get over this. Refugees are escaping with the help of a friend who has transportation.

Ten of Swords Lying on the ground with ten swords in the back means, of course, disaster, loss, suffering, sickness, hurting, being double-crossed and betrayed, humiliation – being a victim of some horrible act.

EXPLANATIONS: [Use the arrow at lower right to skip this and go to Comments.]

All the words of each Tarot card reading you see here are a phrase-by-phrase translation of the scene pictured on those cards: no filler, no psychic impressions, no spirit guide. Word-for-word Tarot Verbatim(TM).

In these group readings, there’s no question (and no Questioner) to limit what the four cards can mean, so they can mean opposite things.

When there is a negative-meaning card (a ‘negator,’ I call them), the readings contradict one another because that card can make any of the other cards in the spread negative. Negator cards mean things like: no, never, not, end, can’t, etc. Never be queasy about the number of ‘bad’ card because it takes two bad cards to say ‘not dead’ and only one to say ‘dead.’

Without a question or a Questioner, pronouns (I, you, he, she, we, they, etc.) are very flexible. I leave out pronouns in writing this as much as possible – awkward to do that sometimes. When I put them in parentheses, feel very free to change them around to suit yourself.

Now in a ‘real’ individual reading, the questioner asks a specific question which provides at least half the information! In an individual’s reading, the parties are identified and sometimes a time frame is too. Here, in a group reading, we cannot do that and so we get more variety of sentences.

Horoscopes are group readings, too. Astrology is based on someone else’s birth data, though, so a ‘solar’ group horoscope never really solidly applies to you! (Astrologers want you to know this!)

Tarot successfully addresses the group of visitors, whoever they are. It provides useful information that applies to their daily lives: They tell you this in the comments, for three years now. Tarot can tell you things about people you don’t know personally – such as whoever on your job has a say in your raise or continued employment there, whether that is one person or many. Visitors report that the information is equally accurate for new visitors as it is for the family of regular visitors.

Do you want to read Rider Waite Tarot, yourself? Start with Learn Tarot by Pictures to get the day’s cards’ individual meanings; then read Learn Tarot by Observation, which gives you the thinking those four cards inspire in a qualified reader. Next, Group Analytical Tarot Cards Reading is the various things those four cards can say (without a question to guide them). Then, Guidance is a summary.

In this way, your intuition allows you to learn to read the cards without much effort if you come often enough. Regular visitors can just put it together.
