Guidance

Life for constructive people can be like being the only sober one at a drunken party. Sometimes the drunks are your relatives, or even friends, and they get their share of your good life. Sometimes what your friends share with you is their vices. But influence is a two-way avenue, so sometimes the good apple in the rotten barrel is a missionary in excellent disguise.

Could This Be You?

Picture this: You look at the cards in your spread.
You immediately get an idea because you know a few of them intimately.
AND you know a system that works because you have had a few

GUIDANCE Did you come here for Your Daily Predictions? Good! Guidance provides your predictions in a summary. It is the Guidance received for you through three Rider Waite Tarot™ cards, using Tarot Verbatim™.

GROUP TAROT READINGS Here are several one-sentence readings that are predictions for you and the people around you for today and the days around it. Here Tarot is talking to you: These sentences express word-for-word, verbatim, the meanings of those three Tarot cards. You choose which sentences apply to you, and you choose whether to encourage them or not.

SYNOPSIS Located right after the Group Tarot Cards Reading sentences, is a deeper expression of today’s Guidance. Read this too for your predictions. Here you complete your predictions experience. The rest of the page is more about learning to love and learn Tarot Verbatim™.

LEARN TAROT CARDS BY PICTURES Are you ready to begin learning Tarot Verbatim™? Here your in-depth meanings come alive for each of the three cards! In Tarot Verbatim™, pictures make the meaning, so each card is like a person you know and remember.

WITHOUT THE PICTURES For the true seeker of Tarot knowledge, here is what you need to know about how the three cards in today’s spread affect one another, and how to apply Tarot Verbatim™. Here too the cards come alive, together.

WHERE EACH PHRASE COMES FROM At a glance, with a color for each card, your subconscious picks up on how the sentences of GROUP TAROT CARDS READING came to be. You feel how individual card meanings reach out and blend, unite, into a sentence. (You can learn this – yes, you!) Your subconscious awareness sees the image and its feeling and your conscious awareness sees the language meaning, the text… so your two minds focus together to see 3D, three dimensionally, the same way your two eyes see depth that one eye does not.

PHRASES FOR ALL THREE TWO CARD COMBINATIONS Are you ready for the final step of this revolutionary Tarot Verbatim™ technique? Now to make it exceedingly plain and simple, we list the expressions each pair of cards makes. We list them in paragraph form rather than itemized so that they flow, and your subconscious clicks into place and ‘gets it.’ You may even find flashes of dreams or intuitive realities as you read these, at times.

The Rider Waite Tarot™ deck is a data bank in mass consciousness that your subconscious can communicate with. Tarot Verbatim™ is the Rosetta Stone that makes that communication easy because it is a bridge between conscious and subconscious thought. When both your levels of awareness focus together, you think intuitively in real time in ‘the real world.’

Bon voyage!

Synopsis

You affect people just by existing, and the effect goes both ways. Just by being yourself, imitators sprout up. People influence you without your permission, and you can return the favor with or without any intention to do so. People you have not opened the door to walk into your house and mess it up. Then, having seen yours so clean, they go home and straighten up. But you’re not there to see that, of course: You will never know what-all you cause in other people’s doings.

Three of Cups

Three of Cups

Three of Cups is the all-for-one-and-one-for-all Three Musketeers type camaraderie. It’s friends who trust one another, share freely, and do things together – even do moneymaking things together. Girlfriends, especially. Three of Cups is good company and good times and good people. The Good Apples, we call them here. Three of Cups is one of the success theme cards too. It’s also a party and dating theme card. Three of Cups is girls, gals, women and dames.

Ten of Pentacles

Ten of Pentacles

People who are problems or people who have problems’ is my private title for Ten of Pentacles. That’s in Tarot Verbatim™ and no other system (so far). People who hurt because of other people. Scenes. Difficulties. Married wrong. A family ‘discussion’ with the Lord and Master is pictured, who lays hands on the greyhounds as Son passes on to Wife the decree – probably to produce another subject for Grandpa’s legacy, as the current subject is still of age to squall and clutch at Wife’s dress as she pleas with hubby, who stares off in another direction as if she weren’t there. Have you been part of this scene?

So Ten of Pentacles is people trouble, family trouble, those people, the unfriendlies, the zombies and the drones, the obnoxious underclass and the obnoxious overclass, the politicians and the mob, the ghetto and the corporate boardroom – the whole bad world neighborhood.

Ten of Pentacles sometimes just translates ‘family,’ and often appears for workplace woes – dysfunctional types that act the same as bad family.

Devil

Devil

Several Rider Waite cards are designed to deflect condemnation from the all-powerful Roman Catholic powers-that-be upon users of the deck. The church’s penalty for ‘the work of the devil’ was death (and would still be). In other decks, Devil isn’t The Horned One.

Devil means hate and enmity, wrong, and bad and worst, and horrible … you name it. It is criminal and brutal, and it is force.

Devil is also the philosophical notion that your vices are voluntary, whatever you are bound to is undoable – evidenced by the loose chains.

Devil in ordinary applications means attachment and obligation very commonly.

Devil is sickness and hurt, pain and suffering, perversion and derangement – and just plain filth and dirt.

Now Without The Pictures

First, parenthetically, note that all three cards show groups of people, so plural pronouns are going to predominate.

Ten of Pentacles and Devil are old (disagreeable) friends who have so much in common, none of it good. Ten of Pentacles in Tarot Verbatim™ is the dysfunctional, screwed-up, lowlife crowd. It represents infighting, rivalries, factions, bad family life, bad neighborhood, gangsters and politicians, the nasty boardroom rich and the nasty ghetto poor, and bad neighbors … and all that goes along with those things. These two cards say ‘bad company’ and ‘sick people’ and ‘family hate.’

Devil, of course, represents anything bad or worse, being stuck, suffering and hurt and harm, problems and prison, and simply being disagreeable.

So, Three of Cups, what are nice girls like you doing in a bad place like this? After all, there’s no action card to connect you to here. Well, Three of Cups isn’t going to be much of a people card … the ladies just don’t fit in very well. So Three of Cups’ sharing meanings come to the forefront (what we have in common), and the ones about friends, being good people or productive people, good times, and being well off (‘making it’).

What we observe here is: People who are not in the same world, the same circle, affect and influence one another. Directly, or indirectly. Secondhand or third-hand. Your style of behaving rubs off on someone you don’t even know … or would like. You decide to mend one of your ways when you see it displayed badly on someone across the street. Your parents are such bad examples that you are a very straight arrow. You go to meetings about something you don’t subscribe to, but some of their ideas you adopt for your own.

Tarot Spread for Dec. 22 2010

Due to hackers needing desperate attention, we are having some technical issues so Miss Emily has asked me to post a Tarot Verbatim Classic for September 23-24 2018 (Diana)

Please comment and tell us what you think! ( If you are using IOS device scroll down to the end of the post and click “read more” this will offer you the comment box and also a menu of Emily’s other insights and services)

Devil

Knight of Wands, Temperance, Ten of Pentacles

This is the first spread.  I didn’t want it to be so ‘down,’ so I appealed the verdict:  I made the second spread which is further down.
Travel overland to be with close family who are not getting along.
Really hate going to be with intimate partner’s dysfunctional family.
Leaving parental home because of all the problems about the person I am close to.
He is in deep trouble with the family because of who he associates with.
He pursues relationships which are dysfunctional and hateful.
This is one evil bunch of people he pursues association with.
Gets out of an intimate relationship because of all the problems with others (families, friends, etc.)
Escapes all the family problems by associating himself with his friend/intimate partner.
Pursuing a relationship with one of THOSE PEOPLE is hideous.
On the road, the couple encounters a disaster with some gang members.
Running away from a deeply troubled relationship with my intimate partner.
Running away from my troubles with family and close friend.
Running away from trouble with intimate partner’s family.

Tarot Reading for 12-22-10a

Second Tarot Spread for Dec. 22 2010

Sun

Three of Swords, Two of Pentacles, Queen of Cups

Leaving home because of one fight after another with the lady.
She knows he is a brat who has one quarrel after another.
Her kid(s) keep making (them) mad.
In the process of a divorce, she thinks of the child/children.
She knows her kid is going to encounter hostility over and over
She puts the idea that this will be fun out of her mind:  They hate her.
She keeps being sweet to people who are against her until she gets out of their house.
She knows there will be one quarrel after another until she leaves the house.
She is nice, and her idea is to just have fun as there’s one fight after another.
She keeps thinking of avoiding the bad atmosphere.
She understands that kids always fight.
She understands that there’s always some way out of the fighting.
She knows how to fight them, but maybe can escape that.

Etc.
As you can see, the message for the day is people not getting along who are in a house together.

Guidance       I’m doing something about where I find myself and with whom, because it affects who I am: Get me out of that bad home life, or this bad situation, to be who I can be. Just getting away from the people who cause me to feel bad makes me a better person. Proud not to be one of the people who are the problem. My good looking guy turns out to be one of those criminal types. He goes away to better himself and falls in with the wrong fraternity. Bad combinations of people bring out the worst in one another: Each could be a better somebody else somewhere else. Who can I be where?

Now,  Part Two,

Do you want to know a little, or a lot, about how this Tarot Verbatim™ thing works? If so,

*Go to Learn Tarot by Observing section below. This tells about the combined four pictures in the Tarot Readings – the pictures above here.  It explains how these four cards get together in your mind to make the messages.

*Go to Learn Tarot by Pictures.  It is what each of the four cards, by itself, has to say.  It shows you how that illustration makes that card’s meanings in today’s Spread. All the words of each Tarot card reading you see here are a phrase-by-phrase translation of the scene pictured on those cards: no filler, no psychic impressions, no spirit guide. Word-for-word Tarot Verbatim™.

You can put all this together and intuitively see yourself how Tarot Verbatim™ works.

This is a group reading, with no Questioner and no Question to limit what the cards say, so there’s more variety – even contradictions – and also the pronouns are more flexible. If it feels like it’s yours, and it says ‘he,’ and you’re a ‘she,’ feel free to adopt it anyway.

Eight of Cups
Ten of Pentacles – Devil – Page of Wands

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

.

Ten of Pentacles and Devil We are being judgmental here, Tarot! Ten of Pentacles … people who have a problem, people who are a problem, ‘those’ people, those dysfunctional relatives and neighbors or coworkers … our complicated relationship. Followed by Devil … the bad guy himself … bad, wrong, vice, evil, ugly, nasty, hate, brutish or brutal and just any awful thing. It even translates ‘horrible’ sometimes.

Ten of Pentacles and Devil together mean bad company, and they translate that way too. The good in them is canceled out by each other’s presence just like a juvenile gang, a ghetto environment, or a police backup. It can refer to physical or social dysfunctions too: a nursing home is where people are sick . A ghetto is where the bad people are a problem, or make problems for people . These two heavy cards are a walk on the wild side – usually are factual or heavy, but can be lighthearted too … in the proper Tarot company.

Page of Wands and Eight of Cups And then we undo that dark dank beginning with two cards that in Tarot Verbatim™ that mean changing into a good guy. Because here is Page of Wands, the son every mother wants and the boyfriend every girl wants … the ‘fair-haired boy,’ maybe even Prince Charming himself. The clean-cut good-looking well-dressed honest and earnest young man. The good guy. [Remember Devil is the bad guy.]

So it’s a relief that (Page of Wands) is followed by Eight of Cups, the final card, that means a detour off the path, to drop out, to change, going in another direction unexpectedly, not finishing the course.

Our story is of changing one’s ways … either way. The nice boy can go to college and become a drunk in a fraternity; or the patient can get out of the treatment center a well person, or the criminal can clean up his/her act.

Speaking of ‘his or her,’ Pages are usually but not always male. Today, ‘I’ appears for Page of Wands quite a few times.

HERE ARE PHRASES FOR ALL SIX 2-CARD COMBINATIONS

Ten of Pentacles

Bad company, dysfunctional relationships making dysfunctional families, people bringing out the worst in one another because they are bad combinations. Shared human vices suppurating into neighborhoods, cities, counties, states, nations that reflect those particular vices. Just try being a hippie in one of those Puritan colonies. (Today we look at the darker spectrum of Ten of Pentacles because it sits next to Devil.) Ten of Pentacles can be a criminal gang, a political gang, a toxic corporation, etc.

The illustration here shows the Elder on his throne, gloating as the couple who produce his grandchild have a ‘discussion’ in which Husband stares off while Wife earnestly beseeches him, the aforesaid progeny squalling and pulling on her clothes. (The kid senses the toxic tradition of the family culture?)

This illustration brings up the wealthy and the ghetto, politicians and criminal groups. Your messed-up relatives. If the question is about the middle class cultures, this Ten of Pentacles in Rider Waite does refer to same.

Devil Bad anything, in Rider Waite. The Marseilles deck has a different take, but here we look, obviously, at the Christian concept of hell’s CEO: The unwashed brute reptile with horns. And today Devil applies to the dysfunctional ‘bad people,’ so we bring out the darker parts of the two darker cards here. Devil often means ‘horrible.’

Its focus is on being bound (or obligated, even, as in a contract), being limited; but you can see the loose chains that humans can remove. That is the main point of Devil, philosophically: Your chains are of your own choosing.

Here is a list of the words it contributes today: bad, toxic, criminal, nasty, sick, the creep, feel bad, hates, horrible, vices, drunk, objectionable, bad life, jailbirds, gone bad, criminal types, wrong, dirty slob, stuck, disease, illness, handicap, problem, prison, corrupt, abuses, plague you, sinners.

Page of Wands There’s our clean cut boy, the son we are so proud of, the fine young man or ‘fair-haired boy’ of lore. Appearing after Ten of Pentacles and Devil, of a cleaned-up act (or a corrupted youth). He is well-dressed and well spoken.

Eight of Cups Short-lived, we are outa there, going off in another direction entirely, abandoning ship, dropping out, onto something else, and it’s over with before it begins. Here it refers to the change – the bad way of life and the good way of life – because that is obviously what these four Rider Waite Tarot citizens are about.

Advice is about doing something about where you find yourself and with whom, because it affects who you are: Get out of that bad home life to be who you can be. Just getting away from the people who cause me to feel bad makes me a better person. Proud not to be one of the people who are the problem. My good looking guy turns out to be one of those criminal types. He goes away to better himself and falls in with the wrong fraternity.  Bad combinations of people bring out the worst in one another:  Each could be somebody else somewhere else.  Who could I be where?

Is this the first time you come here? Well … what to do:

*Go to Advice (above ) which is a summary of the Messages. (Advice is everyone’s favorite part.)

*Go to Group Analytical Tarot Reading below.  One or more of those sentences has something to say to you.  Intuitively pick those out and decide whether to encourage or suppress them.  They are about you and the people around you.  They are about today and the days around it.  (It is a group message like a horoscope,  except Tarot isn’t based on someone else’s birth data,  so it can be specific,  accurate,  detailed and direct.  Our experiment here is  “How much more accurate is it?”)

Did you come here for your predictions? –  You are done now –  See you tomorrow.

Without a question to focus the answer,  four cards can mean contradictory things,  especially when the Spread has a card that negates other cards.  Without a question also the pronouns in a group reading are more flexible,  especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads.  When a pronoun is in parentheses,  feel very free to substitute.  The question in a  ‘real’  individual reading supplies at least half the information!

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

One glance and you know this will be a moralistic session. We begin with the dysfunctional people (those people) Ten of Pentacles followed by the Devil (bad, wrong, vice, evil, ugly, nasty, hate, brutish or brutal … anything awful. These cards are like bad company (and they mean that): The good in them is canceled out by each other’s presence, kind of like a juvenile gang or police backup or the ghetto. This walk on the wild side can vary, can be heavy or factual or somewhat lighthearted. It can also refer to physical rather than social dysfunctionalities.

Then we have the clean-cut honest and earnest young man, dressed and speaking well, Page of Wands. Our boy, we are proud of our son. The ‘fair-haired boy’ of legend.

So it’s a relief that the final card means an abrupt detour, going in another direction unexpectedly, not finishing the course and dropping out.

Our story is of changing one’s ways … either way. The nice boy can go to college and become a drunk in a fraternity; or the patient can get out of the treatment center a well person, or the criminal can clean up his/her act.

Speaking of that: Just because Page of Wands is usually a fellow doesn’t mean this can’t be about a female person. Pages are flexible.

One hell of a hateful family that you coexist with peacefully

Devil
Ace of Cups, Ten of Pentacles, Temperance

Romantic Perspective:
Problems with loved ones, problem with intimate partner.
Loved ones have problems, intimate partner has a problem.
Love life causes problems in marriage, bad feelings with intimate partner.
Close relationship with a wrong partner means problems in love life.
Dealing with the nastiness of home life makes __ a very positive person.

Family Perspective:
Close friend is healing to the problems (you have) at home.
Loving family deals with the problems of a black sheep.
The whole family is affected by the illness and is together in the healing.
A handicapped family member brings everyone together lovingly.
One hell of a hateful family that you coexist with peacefully.

Healing toxic relationships in the dysfunctional family.
Relations with the family that hates (you) are peaceful.
Peaceful coexistence with family enemies.
We are together in healing our family problems.
A home for people with disabilities has the benefit of one-on-one communication.
A halfway house for addicts has one-on-one counseling (loving communication).

Spiritual and Healing Perspective:
Dealing with the enemy and others like him/her/them to make him/her/them harmless.
Being one-on-one with God and being close friends with the troublemakers/evildoers where they live.
Dilute the toxic substance so it is harmless to humans.
Divine healing for demonic problems.
God and the devil make people’s relationships with one another difficult.
Benefits from relationships deranged people have with one another.

Hateful Group Perspective:
Every one of the people in that place are hateful as a group but have amicable one-on-one relationships with one another.
The members of that hateful organization (those nazis!) cooperate so closely with one another.
They all hate each other but each of them loves (you).
Members of this hate group have God on their side.
Gang members cooperate closely with one another in their mischief.

The first thing I notice in looking at this spread is God (Ace of Cups), the Devil, and an angel (Temperance) arrayed around ‘people who have problems.’ Okay …

Ace of Cups and Temperance each refer to healing, and to being close or loving. Ten of Pentacles and Devil both refer to severe problems and hatefulness. With the Ten of Pentacles being a house, and Devil meaning addiction and disability, together they become a halfway house, especially with Temperance in there to suggest healing. Both Ten of Pentacles and Temperance refer to relationships, in different ways.
Advice is to deal in benign ways with the worst people, that the way you deal with them can render them harmless and heal the situation you are in with them. You could call today’s spread here ‘How to Coexist with Cellmates.’ Notice there’s no confrontation being done. Why? Because when people (or nonphysical entities, for that matter) are severely impaired in character, confrontation feeds the dysfunction. Instead you do what benefits the situation you are in with them, which is often family.

Meanings and Illustrations:

Ace of Cups: Love, healing, the presence of God, cooperation, to make peace or ease a situation, to make something harmless or to be harmless and beneficial. These are its meanings we are using today. The illustration shows the Holy Spirit with the wafer (of Roman Catholic fame) infusing a chalice from which five flows emanate representing the five bodily senses and/or five bodily fluids.

Ten of Pentacles: People who are trouble or have troubles or both. The dysfunctional family. A bunch of quarreling hateful people or a mob or gang. The family ruled by a tyrant. Family pressures. A house. A (bad) marriage. Illustration shows grandpa on his throne with two supine canines at his side, and he oversees a couple with a child who are having a disagreeable discussion.

Temperance: Finally I get to use its ‘dilution’ meaning. Once every 5 years, you know? Standard meanings in Rider Waite Tarot for this card are dealing with or interacting, relationship, communication, healing, and one-on-one, as well as ‘on the same side together.’ It shows an angel, and the symbol on its chest is supposed to mean healing. Pouring the water and wine together (Yeah, that’s what it’s supposed to be.) suggests a back-and-forth communication.

Devil: Today he mainly represents the hatefulness that is the problem with these Ten of Pentacle people. He is also showing up as a disability, ailment, being the wrong ___, and the words: nastiness, handicapped, toxic substance, addicts, evildoers or troublemakers, demonic, deranged and mischief. The Devil is one of the most flexible cards, and not all its meanings are ‘bad.’ He is being bad today because of the Ten of Pentacles’ problems. His Rider Waite Tarot illustration shows, yes, a big bad ugly devil with horns from an ancient (real) terrible creature. Two humans are voluntarily associating with this creature, and have caught horns from the devil. (In the Marseilles deck, he is a playful mischievous figure like the Norse God Loki.)

She knows she is right that prosperous times are coming back

Ten of Cups
Justice, Queen of Cups, Judgment

Legal Marriage/Marriage Perspective:
Comes back to his legal wife to marry her.
Comes back to the woman who loves him to legally marry her.
She knows her legal marriage partner is coming back home.
Occurs to him that she is the right woman for him to marry.
Asks the lady who thinks well of him to marry him legally.

She knows him, that he is coming back to legally marry her.
She has faith in him that he is coming back to legally marry her.
She knows he should come back home to her.
His legal wife comes back home.
She does think of remarrying him.
She is thinking of marrying again.

Other Perspectives:
She is thinking of the whole new happy life she deserves/should have/is entitled to.
She knows she is right that prosperous times are coming back.
She is thinking of going back home where she belongs.
As soon as she sees it, she knows this is the right home for her.
This gives her a whole new idea about the house that is right for her.
She knows everyone is going to be as happy as they should be again.

Legal Perspective:
Judgment is declared in favor of the married woman.
She gets her home back in the lawsuit.
She figures out everybody has a whole new standing, legally.
The class action lawsuit was her inspired idea.
She has a new idea about the family’s legal situation.

When you have Justice and Judgment in only a four-Tarot-card spread, its potential meanings are fewer. When you have Justice with Ten of Cups, that famously means ‘legal marriage’ in Tarot Verbatim. And Justice with Queen of Cups suggests ‘legal wife’ because Queen of Cups is the kind you marry. Judgment also means to do something again, so Judgment with Ten of Cups means remarry. Since Ten of Cups is a group of people, when you put Justice with it (especially backed up with Judgment) it suggests a class action suit.

Advice here clearly talks of a legal marriage happening, to a woman who is the kind you marry. Finding just the right house is also featured in this spread. A happy outcome in a lawsuit too. Coming back home.

Meanings and Illustrations:

Justice is the ‘legal’ of ‘legal marriage’ here. Court action, especially with Judgment accompanying it. Justice also means ‘should,’ ‘right’ and ‘entitled,’ sometimes ‘belonged to be.’

Queen of Cups: The nice girl. She has faith in him, she understands him. She thinks, knows and figures out. She is on the dreamy side, her center is emotional. She is pictured staring at an ugly antique she holds up.

Judgment: The illustration of the resurrection creates the idea of coming back, getting back and going back. The angel with the trumpet is a big announcement so the card appears as any word that means talk, speak or ask, etc. The trumpet also brings up ‘sudden’ and ‘inspired’ and ‘strikes’ or ‘occurs to.’ Resurrection is a redo, so the preface ‘re’ in front of almost any other word, and such phrases as ‘a whole new’ anything.

Ten of Cups: Well, everybody, the whole family, neighborhood or community … is happy. These are the good people … maybe even the moral majority. This is the happy marriage card. I want to draw the picket fence on it. It stands for a house, a good house, of course. The rainbow full of full cups … yeppers, they’ve arrived.
