There was a mushy philosophical discussion about spiritual growth in Linked-In. I put shape to it by saying that we all know in our gut what our next step is, and our next step is all we need to know, because when we do it, we know what the next one is. All you have to do for spiritual growth is do what you know is right, and keep doing that. And that this step does not correlate with anyone else’s next step any more than an engineering student’s lessons correspond with an art major’s. That is the point Tarot is making today for us. It is repeated in different ways in sentence after sentence. Amazing.

Hanged Man ……….. Hanged Man today is knowing – knowing and realizing on any level at all, whether conscious, subconscious, super-conscious, psychic, intuition, impression, gut feeling, putting two and two together, ‘getting it’ – anything at all that enters awareness on any level – but especially subconscious shots-across-the-bow to the normal daily mentality. When this happens, you get a disoriented feeling (and often don’t consciously remember, just like you don’t remember dreams which also are usually of subconscious origin), a feeling that things … or you … are upside-down, and your energy goes to your thinking process instantaneously. So you are upside-down and your hair is on fire: That’s the illustration. Its origin is the several myths that have the hero sacrificing a body part for wisdom, and hanging on a tree to do so. Knight of Wands …………. Knight of Wands is rush, speed, hurry, fast progress, fleeing and pursuing. It’s also the fast track and the rat race, but not today. You see a fellow who looks shaken up to me atop a rearing horse moving fast. His weapon is by his side, which would suggest fleeing more than pursuing, too, but the card frequently means pursuing, as it does today.

Justice ………….   Justice is justice, fairness, the way things should be or are supposed to be, what we ought to have or be or do. Justice is straight, right, correct, legal, sensible, normal, sober, sane and okay, not to mention rational. We are not using its legal-industry meanings, or the ones about deserving and being entitled to. So that’s all justice has to say here today.
