Our Daily Spread for December 14, 2011 Wednesday©

Advice is about getting things going in the right direction despite resistance and obstacles,  and that being a reward in itself …  and being rewarded.  A big push,  a turnaround to get things (including ourselves!)  going in the right direction.  Tarot applies this theme to:  romance,  business,  spirituality,  health,  and winning the struggle or battle.  It’s all the same process,  just in different arenas,  we are saying.  When it’s right to fight,  get right to it and make peace quickly too.   It’s your own resistance that keeps the spiritual path from being the fast track.    What stands between you and good health is you running away from having it.

At the time of production,  there’s no way to correct the lack of spaces after punctuation.   I am writing around it now!)

Is this the first time you come here?  Well …  what to do:

*Go to Advice above which is a summary of the Messages. (Advice is everyone’s favorite part.)

*Go to Group Analytical Tarot Reading below. One or more of those sentences has something to say to you. Intuitively pick those out and decide whether to encourage or suppress them. They are about you and the people around you. They are about today and the days around it. (It is a group message like a horoscope, except Tarot isn’t based on someone else’s birth data, so it can be specific, accurate, detailed and direct. Our experiment here is “How much more accurate is it?”)

Did you come here for your predictions? – You are done now – See you tomorrow.

Without a question to focus the answer, four cards can mean contradictory things especially when the Spread has a card that negates other cards. Without a question also the pronouns in a group reading are more flexible, especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads. When a pronoun is in parentheses, feel very free to substitute. The question in a ‘real’ individual reading supplies at least half the information!

Ace of Pentacles

Seven of Wands –  Ace of Cups –  Knight of Swords

GROUP ANALYTICAL TAROT READING  Tell the visitors here something useful and meaningful to them.

Romance,  Love Moving Too Fast (Ace of Cups + Knight of Swords)

Overwhelming to suddenly be rushing down the road of real love.

All of a sudden he feels the love is right and is pressuring you.

Suddenly true love is upon you,  it’s the real thing.

Rushing into love doesn’t feel right.

Quit fighting the love that’s right for you:  Go back there!

Whoa!  He turns around and heads back the way he came:  That was the right love.

I can’t take any more of this true love stuff,  I am on down the road as fast as I can go.

This love thing feels right but it’s moving too fast for (his) comfort.

Now that you’ve found true love all of a sudden you’re not ready for this.

They love you for your money,  it’s fight or flight!

Business –  Money Turns That Around (Knight of Swords + Ace of Pentacles)

The money will turn him around;  he will cooperate instead of obstruct.

He is against the program.  The money turns that around –  he gets with it.

There’s a reward for your cooperation,  and the opposite for your opposition.

It is effort plus making changes fast that make you an accepted success in this business.

He doesn’t wanna be good,  he wants to be rich instead.

He cannot accept the easy way being the way of quick success here.

Turning things around that are going against you is the way to be accepted as a success.

Easy money fast for high-pressure tactics.

A quick and easy success takes a lot of effort.

Spirituality –  The Spiritual Path (Ace of Cups + Ace of Pentacles)

It’s your own resistance that keeps the spiritual path from being the fast track.

Forcing myself to turn my life around and get right with God.

Resisting God’s way,  heading in the opposite direction.

On your spiritual path you encounter obstacles and reversals.

Don’t let yourself run away from your best good.

Fast progress is when you won’t go in the direction of what is good for you.

Whoa!  Turn around and go back the way you came;  that’s where the good life is.

We fight the easy way,  just have to go the other way.

Health –  Good Health Takes Effort (Seven of Wands + Ace of Cups)

What stands between you and good health is you running away from having it.

Health comes first,  and being in a hurry gets in its way.

Turning your life around to have good health takes effort.

Having good health means heading in the opposite direction,  the one you don’t want.

All of a sudden he is in perfect health in spite of himself.

Winning the Fight (Seven of Wands + Ace of Pentacles)

Successful resistance is fast and easy (one big push does it).

Fought them and sent them packing:  God is on our side.

It was a good fight,  we won quickly.

Turning the tide of battle is easy when you are right.

Stand up for what is right,  pursue godliness/graciousness.

When it’s right to fight,  get right to it and make peace quickly too.

Ace of Pentacles

Seven of Wands –  Ace of Cups –  Knight of Swords

MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS:  OBSERVATION OF THE SPREAD

At first blush,  Seven of Wands is being against,  fighting,  obstructing,  obstacles,  a big push or effort,  and Knight of Swords is the rush,  the hot pursuit,  the fast turnaround or change of direction.  These two are turning the tide of a battle,  sending the invader packing.

Ace of Cups is cooperation,  the easy way,  God,  good and goodness,  health,  peace,  going with the flow.  Ace of Pentacles is the right way,  the right path,  a road,  money or reward,  success,  and having or possessing something.

Can you see how this applies to different arenas of life?  Romance,  business,  spirituality,  health and struggle are all covered by these four Rider Waite Tarot cards.  This was a fun spread to unravel;  I enjoyed it once I got into it.

MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS:  INDIVIDUAL RIDER WAITE TAROT CARDS
Seven of Wands engages in the battle or struggle against,  stands up and defends (his) position,  raises hell.  This one Rider Waite Tarot card covers the whole spectrum of resisting.  Its illustration is a landowner standing up to invading neighbors.  Here are the phrases it makes in today’s messages for you:

Ace of Cups Cooperation,  the easy way,  God,  spiritual,  good and goodness,  health,  peace,  going with the flow,  ease and easy,  accepting and being accepted.  Love,  graciousness and agreement.  Pictured is the spirit of God infusing and being channeled by the five senses:  This is one of what I privately call  ‘the Catholic cards,’  ones that were added in the Middle Ages to bolster a defense that Tarot was not the devil’s work.

Knight of Swords Let’s turn this thing around.  Reversal.  Head in the opposite direction.  A quick turnaround.  Go back there.  Fast progress.  Suddenly,  all of a sudden.  A rush,  a hurry.  A hot pursuit.  Illustrated is a knight who is fully armored,  his weapon upraised,  his horse and clothes flying.

Ace of Pentacles depicts the right road,  right path,  straight and narrow way.  A hand possessing the prize or money is over the path.  Lilies in front, a victory rose trellis toward the rear.  A stylized representation of the idea that the right way is rewarded with success,  or is success.  When you add Ace of Cups to it,  you get an obvious  ‘God’s way is the right way’  thing going.

Our Daily Spread for October 16, 2011 Sunday ©

Advice says being faced with a challenge in which your success is against the odds makes you do things for the first time.  The second time around,  he has to do it right, whether  ‘it’  is romance,  business or whatever.  It is a struggle to do  ‘it’  one more time.  There is a price for what you are doing,  a price it is worth:  Name it!  The hard part begins after you get the word that you are accepted as a candidate.

DAILY MESSAGE TAROT ANALYSIS

Tell the visitors here something useful and meaningful to them.

Romantic Perspective

This guy is coming back to (her) and doing the right thing in spite of himself!

He goes back to make it perfect this time,  no matter what.

Making myself act just right the second time around.

Financial Perspective

It’s a struggle to make one more payment.

Insist on a raise.  What you are doing is worth a lot more.

He defends his position and declares that what he is doing is right.

They have a whole new defense for saying what they are doing is right.

Making myself name a price.

His sudden success against all odds.

It’s hard to name a price for what (we) are doing.

It’s difficult,  but you make a large sum of money quickly.

Win the competition and make yourself a whole new life.

It’s a challenge to do that but the reward is immediate.

It’s big news that he was that aggressive to make that much money.

The big news is: having the money to get started with the big push.

Miscellaneous

It’s so against the odds to do it that you get publicity for it.

Push yourself to do it again perfectly.

The best way to do it is to barrel through,  he said.

Being told that doing it the hard way is the right way.

Being faced with a challenge in which your success is against the odds makes you do things for the first time.

Get back on the road that you started on,  that was blocked.

It said there was no entrance to that road,  but you did break through anyway.

Succeed at getting started in a whole new challenge.

Getting word that you are accepted,  and now begins the hard part.

The first time you do something it is more difficult,  the second time,  you succeed.

MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS:  OBSERVATION OF THE SPREAD

Both Magician and Judgment refer to beginning.  Magician frankly means to inaugurate,  start or begin;  Judgment’s  ‘whole new phase’  echoes that.  Aces,  vaguely,  are beginnings too.

Ace of Pentacles is the road,  and Seven of Wands is blocked.  Ace of Pentacles is success,  and Seven of Wands is against the odds.

Magician and Seven of Wands are both males who are engaged in an effort.

MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS:  INDIVIDUAL RIDER WAITE TAROT CARDS

Ace of Pentacles Illustration shows the straight and narrow path,  the lilies in front and the roses in the rear,  the hand with the money in it suspended above the path:  This is the perfect  ‘Prosperity Theology’  illustration.  Perfect success in hand,  the reward of money in possession,  the right anything,  the road,  success,  the price or the worth … Let’s just list all the phrases for this card that has so many different ones today:

reward

that much money

having the money to

Magician does.  He is the male,  the male principle.  Action.  There he is with the tools of his trade on the table,  making something happen (or not happen) with his brandished wand.  His main phrases are any form of the  ‘do’  or  ‘make’  verb you can imagine.  To initiate,  inaugurate,  begin or start belongs to him,  too.  He also stands for a reference to  ‘he’  in any way.  ‘Myself’  is another of his words.  Here are today’s phrases for him:

This guy … doing

make it

making myself act

to make

what you are doing

what he is doing

what they are doing

making myself

make yourself

do that

the first time you do something

Judgment also begins or inaugurates a new phase,  but it also means a redo of anything,  since the illustration shows the resurrection.  The resurrection is a sudden unexpected event,  so there ya go:  Its meaning embraces that too.

Yes, this is one of the Middle Ages cards that was in the deck to deflect criticism of the religious.  It especially means to come back,  to return.  The angel’s trumpet is announcing,  so there you go:  It means to announce,  to say,  to declare,  publicity,  declares –  that sort of thing.  Here are the phrases it makes today:

coming back

goes back to

the second time around

one more

insist on

declares

saying

name a

quickly

a whole new life

immediate

big news

publicity

do (it) again

Seven of Wands defends himself in the struggle,  defends his position against them all,  against all the odds,  no matter what,  in spite of himself.  It’s difficult but he is aggressive enough to make himself do it.  Here is a fellow whose neighbors have come against him to intrude on his property,  who got only one shoe on,  he was so taken by surprise.  But there he is fighting them,  and the presumption is that he wins.  Here are the today phrases this Seven of Wands gives rise to:

in spite of himself

no matter what

making myself

it’s a struggle

insist on

he defends his position

defense

making myself

against all odds

It’s hard to

It’s difficult
