Chariot – Seven of Pentacles – Two of Wands

.

.

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

               LEARN TAROT BY PICTURES..

.. …….….. …..

.

Here we have two ‘for sures,’ and between them is a ‘maybe.’ This is a picture of dealing with probabilities and possibilities as the person those many factors apply to and impinge upon.

Chariot is a ‘for sure’ picture of a leader – a skilled and experienced field commander. Two of Wands is a picture of being in control of money, therefore being in control of the future. So we have two kinds of being in control.

The ‘maybe’ between them is Seven of Pentacles, and he’s the one who may just be pondering, questioning, considering – not necessarily going all the way into doubting … but lives right on that line all the time. That is where we get the sentiment that ‘I got where I am by doubting everything I know.’

.. …..Both Chariot and Two of Wands are forward-looking strategy, taking charge, success and power. Two of Wands is financial security and planning for future profits, which embraces banking and pensions – and real estate ownership. In its illustration, you see a landowner surveying his holdings below and planning more profit from them, banker dude that he is.

Chariot is project management, success, the ability to get the job done using all factors, including the disadvantages, to its advantage: ‘tacking against the wind,’ sailors say. In its illustration, you see the special-ops-of-his-day charioteer. The symbols on the card give you the meaning we disclose here. The sphinxes are magic critters that each go in a turn either to the right or to the left. Our hero hitches them to his chariot so that they, getting in one another’s way, end up going forward by default. Not to fear: His magic wands will impel them to turn when he chooses. So Chariot is ‘large and in charge.’

.. …..In contrast to all this confidence, Chariot and Seven of Pentacles picture the doubts that were there to be overcome, on the way to the confidence Chariot displays. (Chariot, of course, means ‘overcome.’) Point: You can be sure with, or without, testing. Chariot and Seven of Pentacles also are a picture of second-guessing  (Seven of Pentacles) what is already working well (Chariot). Chariot is a creative and skilled leader who uses whatever gets in the

way to his advantage, see? Chariot and Seven of Pentacles are checking the pulse of your project, asking ‘Am I still on course?’ Chariot and Seven of Pentacles are also the way to get in control in the first place: figuring things out.

.. …..Another picture Chariot and Seven of Pentacles describe is questioning authority, which isn’t our story today. Seven of Pentacles of course is questioning, and Chariot of course is authority. These two Tarot cards also describe wondering when and if someone is going to take responsibility, which isn’t our main story today either. Chariot often means ‘responsible’ or ‘my responsibility.’

.. …..Another story Chariot and Seven of Pentacles describe is the overcoming of doubts about (whatever) – a more introspective perspective than we are into today. Lastly, these two cards in Tarot Verbatim™ describe self-doubt along the lines of ‘Can I really do THAT?’ Chariot is the overcoming and the ‘do that.’ Seven of Pentacles is the doubts and the question ‘Can I?’

..Seven of Pentacles and Two of Wands, on the other hand, are about taking a certainty (Two of Wands) with a grain of salt, as we say. They turn a doubtful thing into a sure thing, or a sure thing into a doubtful thing. They say ‘Maybe I can make my future what I choose.’ They say ‘Is that really a good plan?’ because Two of Wands is a plan. ‘The future is uncertain‘ say Seven of Pentacles and Two of Wands, because Two of Wands means ‘the future.’ (Two of Wands often creates future tense in your sentences.) Uncertainties and certainties are juxtaposed (laid side-by-side) by these two cards in Tarot Verbatim™. Seven of Pentacles is a guess, and Two of Wands is foresight.

..Seven of Pentacles and Two of Wands also describe figuring out the future, and pondering the situation you are in – figuring out what may be. They also say ‘it always seems,’ which is a very basic phrase: Seven of Pentacles is the ‘seems,’ and Two of Wands, of course, is the ‘always.’ That’s one of Two of Wands’ favorite words – always.

.

Chariot      When you are in the driver’s seat, you control the direction. Chariot is about ‘hands on the steering wheel.’ Chariot is about success. The illustration is about: Charioteers were the special ops war heroes of olden days. It was their strategy that won or lost battles and wars. Our hero has hitched magic critters, sphinxes, to his vehicle, which he is controlling with magic wands rather than reins. See the reversed colors? They signify one will go only left, the other only right. Our hero has hitched them so, getting in one another’s way, they end up going straight. His magic wands will make them turn in the direction he wants, when he wants that.

When you are Chariot, you have taken on the responsibility of getting it done one way or the other, and you are doing just that. Chariot is one of those people who has it together, and is a personable enough, and strong enough, leader to get a project or endeavor accomplished no matter what obstacles to it there are. Chariot is in control because Chariot has the uncanny ability to use whatever is against the plan to further the plan. This is a talent not everyone has, so Chariot is the leader, the project manager, the success. Yes, this can include being ruthless.

So Chariot is about putting everything you’ve got (determination, willpower, skill) behind your intention, and using everything the environment’s got – for you or against you – to accomplish that intention or ambition. Chariot applies to personal self-control, not just to getting a task done, although leadership is a large slice of Chariot’s meaning pie.

Two of Wands     Our illustration shows a bankster atop his mansion’s roof looking down at his real estate kingdom, planning how to wrest more dollars from it than last year. Today, in the company of Chariot, Two of Wands emphasizes his ‘being in control’ aspects, being The Man with the Plan (or the woman, of course). Two of Wands is when you look down at the situation and look up at your purpose at the same time, and a plan is birthed. When we have power and assets, we have an overview that allows us to plan a profitable future for ourselves. We have a long term view from ‘above it all’ that puts us in control of our destiny and allows us the foresight to plan.

Briefly, Two of Wands has some main trunks to his meaning tree – more than most of Tarot. *There’s the certainty, being in control, for sure, security trunk. *There’s the future (and future tense), foresight, overview, always, long term trunk. *There’s the financial, asset, real estate, banking, success, wealth and solid citizen trunk. (He’s got the whole world in his hands there.) *And there’s the trunk about a plan and planning that I put by itself. So here are some brief key words to remember:

future

plan

always

long term

foresight

overview

for sure

financial

success

And here are the phrases Two of Wands supplies us today: are sure; work out successfully; you’re going to be; my finances; to get; my future; he will be; I will get; the plan; you will; your finances to have a savings account; you will be; success; my financial security; my bank account; things will go well; what’s ahead; you’ll be fine; I’m going to; a sure thing; foresight; always; I’ve got a plan; the future; certainties; my pension; going to make good money; things I am sure of.

.

.

.

.

Here we are planning ahead … which is the only direction to plan in. Of course, we are in some given situation as we plan. You can be sure where you actually are without having checked that out thoroughly … in which case that could be a foolhardy assumption. Or you can be sure of where you’re at because you put it through a test of doubting it and asking questions. Pinching yourself. That is a far better foundation. So today we are talking about doubting what we are sure of.

P. S. and F. Y. I. … here are some sentences I discarded, that these three cards also say. I pared them in the interests of, well, sanity.

You ask yourself whether you’re going to take full charge of a situation.

If I’m such a success, why aren’t I rich?

I aim to be financially stable somehow.

I am skilled at analyzing financial plans.

How are you going to succeed here?

This vehicle may be a good investment.

If it makes me good money, I have succeeded.

A financial success wonders what he has achieved, really.

I am going to get my goal accomplished any way I can.

Maybe you should be the one to drive.

Somehow, you are going to accomplish a challenge.

I’m pretty sure I’ll make it.

I’ve got willpower, so I’m pretty much in control.

Not exactly so sure of my success in this endeavor.

My plan is to buckle down and figure things out.

We are pretty sure the leader has a plan that will work out.

We can only speculate on the banks being in control.

Maybe I will get ahead in banking.

I kinda doubt this strategy long term.

Guidance   “Hypocrisy is the homage vice renders to virtue” is a saying (an aphorism).  Success in this world, or getting ahead – whatever you want to call it – is greased by having a reputation or image of credibility … Dare we say it? … morality!  A man who wants to be Somebody had best marry himself a Lady of Unimpeachable Virtue … even in this Age of Debauchery.  And a woman who wants to get ahead the easy way, still in this Age of the Aggressive Female, had best be Ladylike.  At least, that is what Tarot is talking about today.

Are YOU here for the first time? Come in! People love this place! Full instructions are at the bottom.

Guidance and the Tarot Readings are for you if you just want your daily look ahead. “Guidance” is the summary, followed by your word for word Tarot Readings from the four Rider Waite Tarot cards you see pictured here. Pick the sentences that you feel are yours and decide whether to encourage or reject them. Sentences contradict one another because negative cards, in this group reading with no question, can attach to any of the other three cards.

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

All four of these cards, in Tarot Verbatim™, are foundational, and we have no specific action.

Both Two of Wands and Chariot are forward-looking strategy, taking charge, success and power. Two of Wands is financial security and planning for future profits, which embraces banking and pensions – and real estate ownership. Chariot is project management, success, the ability to get the job done using all factors, including the disadvantages, to its advantage: ‘tacking against the wind’ in nautical parlance.

High Priestess is spiritual expertise, knowing, the lady, staying in place (or staying home), waiting, being an expert or knowledgeable or educated. It stands for the receptive or passive pole or position.

Hierophant is orthodox or traditional or established, mainstream, conservative, ordinary, decent, religion, the usual or accepted (whatever), the physical or mundane or ‘real’ world, safe, establish, average, official (whatever), title or certificate, passing or accepted, good (as in good repair, good name) … is the way things should be and the official story presented to the public by people and their institutions.

High Priestess represents the feminine, or receptive, principle in occultism – the idea that if you are active in one area (plane), you are receptive or passive in another. This is what her meanings have in common: the lady, passive, deeply knowing and yet inactive, insightful … and waiting, staying in one place.

Two of Wands When we have power and assets, we have an overview that allows us to plan a profitable future for ourselves. Our illustration shows a bankster atop his mansion’s roof looking down at his real estate kingdom, planning how to wrest more dollars from it than last year.

Chariot In the driver’s seat, you control the direction, you are in charge of the project, you are successful and responsible. The skilled charioteer was the ‘special op’ of ancient times. Of course, this Rider Waite Tarot card can refer to any vessel or vehicle.

Hierophant The face or official story … like the difference between Sunday School and the professional theologians’ perspective. Like the difference between the face you present to the world and who you really are. Like the slippage between mundane physical reality and what is really going on in our affairs.

I N S T R U C T I O N S & Explanations (Comments are below this.)

Did you come here just for your predictions? – If so, you are done when you finish reading the sentences of Group Analytical Tarot Cards Reading.

Each Tarot sentence is a literal-interpretation reading of the scenes pictured on the four cards you see. Only what each of the cards says – phrase by phrase – no fillers – no psychic ability used. The readings are about you and the people around you.  They are about today and the days around it. Tarot, all by itself, talks to you. This is a demonstration of that .

Tarot will address any group flexibly, as it does here of ‘all the visitors.’ (It can address ‘all the people at work who have a say in my raise,’ for instance, without you knowing who or where those people are.)

Horoscopes are group readings too.

Astrology has to be based on someone else’s birth data, though, so it does not solidly apply to you just because of where the sun was when you were born. (Astrologers know this.)

Emily wants to know whether these sentences are more accurate for regular visitors than for people who have come only a few times. Would you help with a comment, if that is who you are? Please?

Without a question to focus the answer, four cards can mean contradictory things,  especially when the Spread has a card that means ‘no, never or not.’ That negative modifier can apply to any one of the cards.

Without a question also the pronouns (you, him, her, me, us, them, they, etc.) in a group reading are more flexible,  especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads.  When a pronoun is in parentheses, feel very free to substitute.  Notice how, as much as possible, we drop pronouns, which makes for some awkward phrasing.

The question in a ‘real’ individual reading supplies at least half the information! In a ‘real’ reading, the parties are identified (including the gender of the questioner!), and so is the time frame if there is one. In this group reading, we cannot do that, so we have variety.

Do you want to know a little, or a lot, about how this Tarot Verbatim ™ thing works? If so,

Guidance   A person who is competent in some skill, and who is also competent socially, is successful. That success will be rewarded sooner or later with security – both social and financial security. Goodwill toward others is a huge factor in one’s personal effectiveness and in one’s success in business and enterprise of any kind.

Tarot Readings: Two Responsible People in Love (Ace of Cups + Nine of Pentacles & Chariot)

Two responsible people in love have a sound relationship.

He is in love, so he decides to live where she does.

Any woman he chooses to love will be able to take care of herself.

He aims to be in control of his own finances and have the woman he loves do the same with hers.

They each choose and plan to keep their love life private.

She is in love with success, so success is what she will always have.

She is minding her own business waiting for the love of a responsible man.

From a sound (and pure) motive, he chooses to love a woman very set in her ways.

A master of unconditional love will have a self-interested woman in his future.

She loves being in control and will love a man who is.

He decides on a future with the cool woman he loves.

She chooses to love him forever on purpose.

He has unconditional love for her as long as she can do fine without him.

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

We are still in our ‘control’ theme. Three of the four Rider-Waite Tarot cards in Tarot Verbatim (TM) have to do with that subject.

Nine of Pentacles is on home turf where she shines: She owns it, she is competent there, and does as she pleases. Two of Wands is having power, influence and money – owning the town, having an overview of the place and being secure – especially financially secure. Both of these cards in Tarot Verbatim (TM) are about owning real estate.

Chariot is the project manager, the strategist who uses all the factors in his environment to further his success. Chariot is also the achievement, the success, the mastery, as well as the man who pulls it off. When it stands for a person, that person is ‘most always a man.

Ace of Cups funnels all this mastery and success into love, unconditional love, good health, good (anything), cooperation, agreeing and allowing, ease and flow.

Nine of Pentacles is on home turf where she shines: She owns it, she is content with what she has, is competent there, and does as she pleases. This is the independent woman, possibly financially independent, who is associated with a place (home, business or other). She is both successful and leisurely.

Two of Wands Two of Wands has the world in his hands; has power, influence and money – owns the town, has an overview as he stands on the ramparts of his castle roof contemplating what he will do with his real estate empire below. These days he is the banker we love to hate. This is your pension. This is the solid citizen. This is global anything.

Ace of Cups Love, true love, unconditional love, no harm and all benefit, God, being godly, cooperating, good and goodness and wholesomeness, cooperation, agreeing and allowing, ease and flow. Blessings all around. The illustration is opaque to modern people: It’s the Holy Spirit infusing a person’s five senses or five ‘bodily humors’ (Middle Ages parlance) so the person channels the presence of God.
