Four Card Spreads, Our Daily Spread
THIS WEEKEND’S QUESTION IS “WHO TO BE TO DE-STRESS YOUR LIFE.” It builds on last weekend’s question.
HOW TO USE THE MATERIAL WE HAVE FOR YOU HERE. Read the sentences, and pick out the ones that seem to apply to you, to the people around you.
They are a Tarot analysis of your day’s circumstances. As the day (or several days) unfolds, you may find the information is relevant. The question is: “Tell the visitors here something useful and meaningful to them.” Often, your adopting the attitude you feel in the blog works for your day!
Without a question to focus the answer, four cards can mean even contradictory things. Without a question also the pronouns in a group reading are less specific, more flexible, especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads. Especially when a pronoun is in parentheses, feel free to substitute.
The Advice section sums up a general meaning of all the sentences.

WHO TO BE TO DE-STRESS YOUR LIFE
On the surface, we have three ‘bad cards,’ two of which are very bad. This spread will demonstrate not letting that scare you!
Two of our cards here are about income or money:
(1) Four of Pentacles means to be short of money, to hold onto money even as a miser, and to keep things to yourself, to shut yourself off from (whatever). Its illustration shows a fellow hugging his ‘coins’ close to his body. He is outside the town, staring straight ahead.
(2) Three of Wands means income, profit or money coming in, or good things coming. It refers to continuing and to the future. For example, ‘continually in the future’ would be a phrase for it. The illustration shows a merchant watching his ships sail toward where he stands.
Two other of our Rider Waite Tarot cards today are about adverse factors or big problems or ‘what is against.’ About hate, spite, and so on. Many of their meanings are the same, are interchangeable.
(1) Three of Swords’ main meanings are hurt, hostility, adverse circumstances or atmosphere, schism such as divorce, being against or hating. Enemy, attack, battle or war or combativeness. Its illustration shows a heart with knives through it and storm clouds in the background.
(2) Devil actually is a general card, not all negative! It can simply mean limitations and sex and physical attachment … think paperclip! But overall such phrases as unsavory elements, enemy, the big problem, the worst adverse factor, things you hate, things that aggravate you, hostilities, evil. Its illustration is the big ugly Evil One, to whom a human couple is attached with loose chains. Black magic insignia abounds on the Rider Waite Tarot card. (But in the Marseilles deck, the devil is more like Loki, the Norse god of mischief, a prankster.)
TAROT ANALYSIS
Look forward to good things even in the most adverse circumstances by limiting your receptivity.
There will always be unsavory elements that are your enemy, just don’t pay attention.
It is your internal life that brings you a good future; what works against that is your own attachments to what is hurtful, to problems.
Not having enough income is a big problem to attack.
Holding YOURSELF back from making money will be your worst adverse factor.
Keeping your mouth shut about the things you hate, things that aggravate you, pays off.
Sex life can bring on deep-seated hostilities.
Being too attached to money (being penurious or ‘cheap’) repels money flowing to you.
The feeling that money is evil is your enemy.
People shut themselves away from people who are so attached to money
People don’t want anything to do with people who are all about greed, about THEIR money.
There will always be big bad problems: Don’t be impressed by what hurts you.
Shut up about the hateful ugly divorce that is coming.
