Two of Cups is any kind of third-party influence at all, sneaky or not sneaky. Could just be a dependent, can be a mooch, could be a cheating lover, or stalker, or surveillance, but usually someone is being taken advantage of behind his or her back. Something’s up. Seven of Pentacles is not being so sure … is wondering and in doubt. ‘I dunno what’s up.’

Two of Cups The funky thing in the air between the couple who are announcing an engagement back in the day when that really was a forever thing (or else) is a caduceus: an interfering spirit of the type used for spells.
Two of Cups is about hidden influences, especially about a deliberate manipulative situation, taking advantage (as a mooch or energy vampire does), deceit and cheating. Eight of Wands We see limbs flying through the air one after the other in a quick burst. We have two cards about uncertainties, Fool and Seven of Pentacles, and one that can say ‘for certain,’ Two of Wands, but they are not getting in one another’s way in the one-sentence readings.
Fool and Seven of Pentacles Fool is optimistic, open-minded, doesn’t care, doesn’t know, assumes and is oblivious as a lifestyle. Seven of Pentacles wonders, doubts, doesn’t know and is cautiously optimistic about the one thing he is engaged in at the moment: his cucumber plants.
Two of Wands refers to the future, a plan, and finances or financial plan or pension or bank account. That might have contributed a little drama here, a story or two, but not with these companions who simply boil down to lots of things to wonder about, assume and forget. Blithely optimistic, ignoring real world concerns, our person and his or her dog are about to skip off a cliff on a beautiful sunny day – which reminds you of the same attitude in the Sun card. Today it’s just forget, assume, be oblivious, don’t know, freedom, being free of, unformed,
it doesn’t matter, without thinking, unknowns, open-minded and such. Today Fool blends into Seven of Pentacles. That happens sometimes.
Seven of Pentacles blends into meanings it shares with Fool today. He leans on his shovel wondering whether his plants will bear. He doesn’t know, he wonders, he doubts and speculates about uncertainties. He is unsure what his situation is, but is just curious about it: He is not worried, not stewing about those cucumbers.
Two of Wands Two of Wands’ main meanings are checked by other cards today. Today Two of Wands interprets ‘future’ and creates future tense in other cards, which it often does. It says: plan, long term, forever, bank account, pension, what will happen – says them about once each, that’s all.

ADVICE: I got the feeling as I was doing this that it applies to many visitors. It is very odd too: no action involved, and a lot of questions being asked. Read this more carefully than usual; there may be between-the-lines subtleties sparkling in this mud. You can’t just not know and wonder about all these things. Without a question to focus the answer, four cards can mean contradictory things especially when the Spread has a card that negates other cards. Without a question also the pronouns in a group reading are more flexible, especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads. When a pronoun is in parentheses, feel very free to substitute. The question in a ‘real’ individual reading supplies at least half the information!

MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS: OBSERVATION OF THE SPREAD
Oh boy, said I when I put these Tarot specimens down. What am I gonna do with this? – which, come to think of it, is pretty much what this spread says. We have both cards that mean “Huh? Duh. Whut? I dunno.” and suggest the sentence be a question. That would be Seven of Pentacles who is wondering and uncertain, and would be Pace of Cups who is a question, who feels silly or awkward, and who means all things ridiculous, stupid, etc.
So the next thing that hits you is the old “There’s no action card here” situation. The next Tarot citizen to show up does not help with that: Eight of Wands simply means number things, amount things, counting things … and ‘fast’ or ‘quickly.’ So what about our last remaining hope here? Nope, the last Tarot citizen is Eight of Swords: gridlock, halted, death or casualty, contained, tied, stymied, blocked, locked (in or out).
I amaze myself finding all the meanings to these four. I am such a genius, says me.
MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS: INDIVIDUAL RIDER WAITE TAROT CARDS
Eight of Swords has a narrow band of meanings, so it is one of what I call ‘anchor cards.’ You look to it for the direction of the message. Illustration shows a blindfolded and bound woman in a swamp surrounded by weapons, head bent and hands behind back. Pretty plain. It means things like: can’t, limited, contained, blocked, halt or halted, gridlock, tied, death or casualty, stymied, locked (in or out), unable, disabled.
Seven of Pentacles is one of the ‘Duh’ cards – my nomenclature. Its main meanings are wonder, uncertain/uncertainty, doubt and ‘doubt about the outcome,’ to puzzle – things that make a person insecure. Illustrated by leaning on your shovel wondering whether you are going to get any cucumbers from your plants you are tending.
Eight of Wands has few meanings and is therefore an ‘anchor card.’ The illustration shows arrows flying in the air one after the other in a quick burst. (Yeah, those sticks are supposed to be arrows. Pamela Coleman Smith was not a bow hunter.) Its phrases are about numbers of things, amounts of things, counting, increasing, more and more, and fast or quickly.
Page of Cups echoes Seven of Pentacles’ uncertainty, doubt, wonderment, puzzlement. It adds these phrases too: ridiculous, dumb or silly, idiot. It too brings up “Why?” as a question and suggests the sentence be put in question form. Its illustration is a dumb-looking fellow dressed in women’s attire and carrying a fish in a cup.

It seems the lady is getting closer in the relationship
Eight of Wands Temperance, High Priestess, Seven of Pentacles
Hmmm, she thinks maybe she is staying in this relationship for several reasons. An intimate conversation speculating about spiritual things. How many relationships can a quiet girl have? It seems she is getting closer but she is quiet. It seems the lady is getting closer. How many transactions has she done? Speculate about all these secret deals/transactions. Why talk about what his dealings with her are? She is quiet as he asks questions about her dealings. Dealing with her, you wonder how many secrets she knows. Can spiritual healing be that fast? Should you talk about angels or keep it secret? Spiritual conversation with an angel … or what? Wondering about many spiritual encounters. A spiritual quest to have direct conversations.
Sooo, what do these mean to you? Such a variety in today’s messages. Generally, there is some communications going on that are about transactions, secrets, spiritual things, and/or relationships. The Temperance-High Priestess combination is what suggests the spiritual-angelic topic. The ‘intimacy’ theme is from the Temperance Rider-Waite Tarot card. ‘Intimate conversation’ is what you get from Temperance + Eight of Wands. When you ponder the meanings and illustrations below, if you have the time and inclination, you can derive some more sentences. Remember, for the sentence to ‘count,’ it has to include all four Rider Waite Tarot cards, but you don’t have to use all four in “solitaire” that is, doing it yourself.
Meanings and Illustrations:
Today’s is kind of miscellaneous, isn’t it? The first card – Temperance – means close, intimate, intimate relationship, relationship, dealing with a person one-on-one, dealing directly, transaction, deals. It also relates to things angelic, and to healing. I used all or most of these meanings in our sentences. Just look at the illustration on this Rider Waite Tarot card. It shows an angel. It has a symbol of healing on its chest. Pouring the water back and forth means a back and forth flow, hence intimacy, and dealing and intimacy.
The second card is the High Priestess. She knows all. She has the Book in her hands. She is quiet, has secret lore. Being passive suggests being a lady in the old-fashioned sense. This card reflects the Kaballah: See the ‘B’ and the ‘J’ on the pillars – loosely justice and mercy. Long story – later. The third card, Seven of Pentacles is pretty straightforward. It is one of the ‘duh’ cards. To question or wonder, maybe, speculative or speculating, ‘why?’, wonder, ‘or what,’ or any questioning, plaintive expression. It can be a quest once in a while. The illustration shows a fellow wondering whether he planted both male and female cucumber plants – whether he will get cucumbers. The last card – the Eight of Wands – is messages, conversation(s), a list of anything, a plural on a surrounding Tarot card, many, increasing or increasingly. It also means fast, one after another. Its illustration shows one stick after another flying in the wind. You could picture lines, as in printed messages, so it expresses ‘texting’ as well.
