Tarot Readings for You for November 4, 2015 Wednesday©
GUIDANCE Other people’s fights are not yours, and joining in as a third party is against your best interest. ‘Let It Be,’ the Beatles sang. Today we sing the praises of Inaction. But we look at the obverse of the situation: Not doing anything while a mooch, or an electrical problem, festers within your walls. So Inaction does not merit our unconditional praise … of course. But I was under the influence, and I slept through a lightning storm!

Tarot Readings: Don’t Bother to Make a Point (Four of Swords and Tower)
Not confronting the internal opposition.
Am indifferent and am rejecting what has strings attached.
Not making an issue of something, to save face.
Not breaking up with the cheater.
Not going to make an issue of the b.s.
Other people’s fights are not mine.
No one confronts the mooch.
They have an agenda of their own; it’s no use fighting with them.
Going along with them and not clashing with them.
There’s an undercurrent of resistance that doesn’t come to a head.
On my best behavior so I don’t get thrown out.
It’s a crooked, crooked world, and it’s useless to overthrow it.
Tarot Readings: Consequences of Inaction (Four of Swords and Six of Wands)
A blow-up is the unintended consequence of not doing anything.
Gets himself fired for not doing something.
It breaks because nothing was done about the underlying (and festering) cause.
Nothing is being done as an electrical fire is brewing.
The mooch is staying until evicted.
I slept through a lightning storm because I was under the influence (inebriated).
Tarot Readings: Self-destructs (Tower and Six of Wands)
Without any action on your part, your cutthroat rival self-destructs.
Their self-destructive agenda requires no response from you.
They don’t do anything until there’s an emergency, and then they misrepresent it.
Tries to get us to go along with the program, and has a fit when we don’t do it.
Oh never mind, just let them blow themselves up.
An ‘attractive nuisance’ that could cause a disaster, doesn’t.

Four of Swords – Tower – Six of Wands

….. …….…… ….. WHAT have we here? Tower always gets attention. It’s the ‘boom.’ And Six of Wands is … ahem … not what it seems, whatever it is seeming. And who else? Well, Four of Swords is advice to not get involved … ‘Count me out.’
We have two main messages today. One is the glories of not fighting a losing battle – not getting involved in conflict. Four of Swords is the ‘not get involved’; Tower is conflict; Six of Wands is about ‘it’s against your interest and it’s not what it seems.’
The other is the opposite situation: not doing anything precipitates a crisis. Four of Swords is the ‘not doing anything’; Six of Wands is the ‘precipitates,’ the festering or brewing behind the scenes – you know, the frenemy, the Fifth Columnist; and Tower is the crisis, the ‘boom.’
One distinction between these two scenarios would be ‘Who’s potential hazard is this: yours or theirs? The gist of our two messages is: Be active when a situation belong to you, and be inactive when ‘it’s not your circus and not your monkeys.’
Tower and Six of Wands both are destructive cards: Tower is overt (in-your-face) and Six of Wands is covert (the frenemy, the friend who hates).

Four of Swords Four of Swords is not participating, sleeping, indifferent, not responding, inaction (not doing anything). It’s things that don’t happen, which gives it a part-time job as a negator.
This not-participating concept expands to meditation, which its illustration is about. It expands to being laid off, sidelined, time out, retirement, coma, being ‘dead drunk,’ and such things as that.
So, for example, Four of Swords joins Tower to say ‘I don’t get thrown out.’
The illustration is a candidate for knighthood doing his vision quest about his life purpose as a knight, which is part of the ritual by which he becomes a knight. He meditates overnight upon the relic-bones of the church’s saint or hero.
Tower Lightning strikes a building, it’s destroyed, and people are blasted out of it. Most of Tower’s meanings arise from these elements. Histories of all the ancient nations in very early civilizations we read about contain this story, just as they do the flood story.
Tower is a disaster, although it has some nonthreatening meanings. Today we use three categories of Tower’s lexicon. First, we have: rejecting, breaking up, thrown out, and overthrow. Second, we have opposition, confrontation or confronts, fighting, clashing, resistance, ‘make an issue of’ and ‘has a fit.’ Third, we have the disaster meanings: blow-up, fired, breaks, electrical fire, evicted, lightning storm, destructs and destructive, and emergency.
If you are looking for a comprehensive report on Tower’s interpretations, just Google ‘Tower Tarot Verbatim.’
Six of Wands Six of Wands is the kidnapping of King Richard III by Arabs he won a battle against. (The next-in-line-to-the-throne plotted the kidnapping. King Richard spent the rest of his life in captivity in an Arab country.)
Six of Wands has a wide spectrum of meanings, many of which spawn a wide variety of words and phrases. The easiest way to apply this card is: Don’t trust your environment; things are not what they seem. ‘Pyrrhic victor’ or false victory belongs to Six of Wands. Some common Six of Wands translates are: frenemy; against (his) interest; sabotage and self-sabotage; infighting or internal opposition; Fifth Column or traitor or betrayal; agenda; mooch; leads a double life; play the role; virtual reality; unintended consequence; attractive nuisance; own worst enemy; con artist; Munchhausen; hypocrite or two-faced.
Examples of Six of Wands lite are: face; playing the part; pretending to be a better person than I am; put your best foot forward; hypocrite; strings are attached; blarney; misinterpret; hidden cause; faking it.

Letting it be, and letting things slide. Hard to tell them apart sometimes. We don’t want to be party to every injustice we encounter, nor do we want to stand by as things get worse undercover. Today we invite ourselves to pay attention to what our part is in situations that are gathering storm clouds. Our question is: Are we involved? – because we don’t want to butt into a conflict that doesn’t have our name on it.
