Advice Family strife is our subject,  no way around it.  The divorce or blowup,  the militant woman’s demands,  the marriage and  ‘this is the routine.’  The same situation at work where a walkout or strike –  or at least quitting or getting fired –  is afoot.  Repairing a damaged house is a parallel situation to these –  come to think of it!  –  and Tarot has.  She keeps working in this combative environment.  A whole family whines about one thing after another until you want to explode.  Employees at this company complain about tirades.

MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS:  OBSERVATION OF THE SPREAD

Oh dear.  Right off the bat there’s Tower (divorce) and Four of Wands (marriage).  Smack in the middle is the dissatisfied militant woman who is not getting what she deserves (or thinks she does) a/k/a  ‘the bitch.’  She can also be the victim.  And other other card means  ‘this keeps happening.’  That hits you in the face if you have even a little Tarot Verbatim Rider Waite experience.

Eight of Pentacles + Four of Wands is  ‘work for the company.’  It’s also construction work or working on a house.  Tower + Eight of Pentacles is employees being fired,  walking out,  quitting,  confronting,  striking or …  throwing things,  destroying things,  or having things thrown at them.

Queen of Swords is the dissatisfied demanding person,  so Queen of Swords + Eight of Pentacles is employees’ demands.  It could be her constant nagging and complaining,  too.

So we mostly have combat or reconstruction!

MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS:  INDIVIDUAL RIDER WAITE TAROT CARDS

Tower shows lightning blowing down a building and people falling out of it.  The crown at the top of the building suggests an overthrow of power.  It means divorce,  hitting or destroying,  explosion or blowing up in a temper tantrum,  combative,  outbursts,  confrontation,  beating.

Queen of Swords is the victim,  the bitch,  the complaining,  nagging, whining militant wench,  mama-bat.  She is also the woman who does without,  who is sacrificing (an earlier stage?) –   and the woman of strong character or strong woman.   An older woman with her hand outstretched,  palm partly turned upward in that gesture of imperious but importune demand we have all seen …  and done.

Eight of Pentacles always doing this over and over.  Same routine.  Work.  Job.  Employee.  Keep at it,  keep trucking.  The carpenter is at his work bench intently making one identical object after the other.

Four of Wands is home and marriage,  neighborhood and family,  the community of upstanding people.  Pictured is a society wedding which invokes the public aspect of marriage,  since it is uniting leading families.

Our Daily Spread for July 15, Friday

Advice is about a traumatic gut-wrenching event – about divorce, about losing house and home, about grief, about a life change that came precipitously and lingers on haunting the life. It describes the shock and the sadness of those experiences. But it is also about the time you were going to say something hurtful, and didn’t, and about the overthrow of established ways. ================================================================================= Is this the first time you come here? Well … what to do:

*Go to Daily Message Tarot Analysis below. At least one of those sentences has something to say to you. Pick those out. They are about you and the people around you. They are about today and the days around it. (It is a group message like a horoscope, except Tarot isn’t based on someone else’s birth data, so it can be specific, accurate, detailed and direct. Our experiment here is “How much more accurate is it?”)

The Question for weekdays is: “Tell the visitors here something useful and meaningful to them.”

The Question for weekends is stated right on top on those days. Comment or call if you have a suggestion for a question.

(Some days are ‘keep an eye open for’ and some days are ‘green light, go fast.’)

*Go to Advice to apply what those sentences say (in the best way) for you. (Advice is everyone’s favorite part.) Did you come here for your predictions? – You are done now – See you tomorrow.

Without a question to focus the answer, four cards can mean contradictory things especially when the Spread has a card that negates other cards. Without a question also the pronouns in a group reading are more flexible, especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads. When a pronoun is in parentheses, feel very free to substitute. The question in a ‘real’ individual reading supplies at least half the information!

========================================================= MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS: OBSERVATION OF THE SPREAD Damn!  You got marriage (Four of Wands).  You got divorce (Tower).  You got a sudden life change (Eight of Cups).  And you got feeling heartsick (Five of Cups).  This reads like the Thematic Apperception Test:  Make a story from these illustrations. Four of Wands is a building or home, and Tower is a building being destroyed. Both Eight of Cups and Tower speak of a sudden change that is not welcome.. MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS: INDIVIDUAL RIDER WAITE TAROT CARDS Eight of Cups is a change that happens out of the blue. An interruption, disruption, interception, cut off at the pass. The Rider Waite illustration for it shows a fellow on foot (pilgrim, the books say) has to go in a different direction because the road is following a stream or river. Five of Cups is grief, regret, sorrow, sorry for the past, failure and loss. A bent black robed figure contemplates spilled wine, ignoring the cups that are not spilled, and the sky is totally gray. Tower shows lightning destroying a building, people falling headfirst out of it. It means disaster, destruction, sudden, shock. Four of Wands is the card that in Rider Waite depicts a wedding – a wedding of gentry, so it – in Tarot Verbatim ™ – refers to the Establishment. It serves mainly as one of the two positive marriage cards, this one emphasizing the official, formal side of marriage. .
