GUIDANCE      So satisfying when your gut tells you what’s right. It feels good to be sane and to get the right ideas, and that’s the kind of enlightenment I wished for in a sober dream. To have enough, to want only what you’re entitled to: That’s my rational inspiration, and I’m grateful for that kind of real-life sanity. Buddha said it best – that there are two ways to get everything you want, and one of them is to want only the things that belong to you.

Could This Be YOU?

You immediately get an idea

because you know a few of them intimately AND

He feels so entitled to everything he wants.

Rational inspiration: That’s the kind I want.

Now you understand you were right enough.

Sober realization that this is what I wished for.

You see him going straight and are glad for him.

You know how things ought to be, and that is what you want.

You got the right idea.

Satisfied with the usual ideas.

I want to be right and to know it.

I got what I deserved, and I know it.

To have enough: That’s the right idea.

You just want to be normal: your idea of it.

It’s okay to make money on your inspiration.

What’s excessive, and what’s normal, is an opinion.

To want only what I am entitled to: enlightenment.

.

Hanged Man – This picture, the first time anyone sees it, inspires a ‘Huh?’ Hanged Man’s core application is psychism, inspiration, realizing, knowing, feeling in (your) gut, seeing, enlightenment, understanding, getting it. Here’s how the picture expresses these things: It illustrates an event that occurs in several myths (the world around) of the protagonist (subject of the story, hero, god) hanging himself on a tree for three days and sacrificing a body part, a function. In Odin’s case in the Norse myth, it was an eye. The sacrifice to the gods is in exchange for ‘wisdom,’ by which is meant (each time) psychic and magic powers.

.

Arising directly from those meanings are words like: idea, opinion, concept.

.

Hanged Man represents a person with an obsession to know, a thirst for knowledge. So you find it showing up for a strong feeling, an instinct, an urge or drive, being turned on, a strong desire. Hanged Man frequently simply translates ‘intense’ or ‘intensely.’

Nine of Cups – You feel ‘I ate the whole thing’ when you see the chubby fellow with the big grin and the empties behind him on the table. Satisfaction is the hallmark of Nine of Cups, and it is famous in all self-respecting decks as ‘your wish is granted.’ It attracts, of course, getting and having, wishing and wanting – in all degrees, from ‘enough’ to excess. Think ‘I got mine.’ Think ‘Enough is enough.’ Think of the Rolling Stones song ‘Satisfaction.’

.

Do keep in mind that this Nine of Cups Tarot card often simply translates forms of ‘get’ and ‘got.’

.

When in doubt, first try the ‘wish is granted’ concept, or wanting something. Next try the satisfaction and feeling good. Next try making money, profit, being wealthy, and excess in general: Nine of Cups sometimes says ‘too much.’

.

Less frequently, Nine of Cups is about gratitude and being glad or grateful, and also is about Enough. Being satisfied with enough. Enough is enough.

JusticeAnd you just naturally see the whole justice industry in this illustration of a crowned person with scales in one hand and a raised unsheathed broadsword in the other. Yes, it’s all of that law enforcement, from the dog catcher to the pesky petty regulators to attorneys general in a justice department of a country, and all the robed and unrobed courtiers in the courts. Often more likely to fine you for traffic than to protect your life or property.

.

You expect this Justice card to mean right and rights; it also means ‘right’ in the sense of ‘correct.’ So you were right, and you are in your right mind (with a card that means ‘mind.’ Justice also means ‘right’ in the sense of what ought to be, what should be – and ‘ought’ and ‘should’ are frequent fliers on the justice plane.

.

Justice means ‘deserve,’ whether what is deserved is lovely or not. Then Justice belongs to the concept of fair and fairness, where things expand a little away from its ‘rational’ territory. Know how people say ‘it isn’t fair’ when they are taking advantage of you? (I heard a fella say it was unconstitutional to take his welfare check away.) Well Justice also means ‘entitled,’ which includes feeling entitled … which is a deep subject.

…………..…………. …………………….

.

……. Hanged Man and Nine of Cups Hanged Man is an intense desire, feeling, or drive, and Nine of Cups is the satisfaction. This pair of Rider Waite cards also simply says You got the idea,’ because Nine of Cups has got it and Hanged Man is the idea. It feels so good when you get the idea, too. You want enlightenment: Hanged Man is the enlightenment. ……. Hanged Man and Nine of Cups also say ‘ know what you want’ or ‘ want to know.’ This can be phrased also as ‘ You know, and that is what you want.’ Hanged Man is to know, and Nine of Cups can say ‘ enough,’ so now you understand enough about whatever it is. And the idea is enough for you, too. Well, these same cards also say understand greed,’ and ‘ intensely greedy,’ don’t they?

.

Excess (Nine of Cups) is a matter of opinion ( Hanged Man). And now you realize this is what you wanted! (Be careful what you wish for.)

.

……. Hanged Man and Nine of Cups are intensely grateful. Because they realize what they already have. And they are intensely grateful for the realization, too.

.

. Hanged Man and Justice Hanged Man and Justice are The Right Idea, or the idea to do right. This is expressed in so many ways: You know in your gut what’s right. Now I realize how right you were” – or “ how right I was.” …. Hanged Man and Justice are also knowing what’s right for me, or knowing right (from wrong, if you throw in one of the cards that translate ‘wrong’). You know how things ought to be. Or the concept of justice, the idea of justice, or the opinion of justice.

.

Another chapter in …. Hanged Man and Justice is: Justice is sanity and Hanged Man is inspiration, which results in a rational vision, or even being entitled to enlightenment. It’s okay (Justice) to have intuition (Hanged Man) too. That feeling in your gut, Hanged Man, is your inner sanity (Justice). And I have a dream ( Nine of Cups) of how things ought to be (Justice). Something in my gut is telling me I’m sane, too (or telling me it’s right; or telling me right). Or telling me it’s okay to ….

.

. Hanged Man and Justice connect an intense feeling, urge, drive, or instinct with that being okay (Justice). So it’s perfectly all right that she turns you on that way.

.

These same two cards say he sees himself ( Hanged Man) as normal (Justice). (or sane) He feels (Hanged Man) getting everything he wants (Nine of Cups) is normal, too. We all know a few of these people.

.

. Nine of Cups and Justice Nine of Cups is having what you want and Justice is what you deserve. Once in a while they get to talk about wanting what you deserve, wanting a situation to be right, but they also may say ‘ entitled to having it all.’ As a matter of fact, took at this: …. Nine of Cups and Justice say both: (1) grateful for my sanity, and (2) greed is normal. Strange bedfellows, those.

.

Here are some good solid …. Nine of Cups and Justice sentences: Feels good when justice happens. Want things to be the way they ought to be. Being right feels good. You are right enough. Want to be sober. Glad he is going straight. Satisfied with the usual, or the ordinary. I want to be right about this. I get what I deserve. I just wanna be normal. It’s okay to make money. Just like you don’t know how a garment fits until you try it on and let it surprise you one way or the other, what is excessive on some people, and in some lifestyles, is suitable on others. Dramatic and daring clothes, styles and colors too, are perfectly natural on a person who doesn’t follow the rules in other ways. And what may look severe on one casual outdoorsman will look relaxed on a fellow with a responsible desk job.

Now, Part Two,

Do you want to know a little, or a lot, about how this Tarot Verbatim™ thing works? If so,

*Go to Learn Tarot by Observing section below. This tells about the combined meanings of the three cards in the pictures in the Tarot Readings.  It explains how these cards get together in your mind to make the messages. HERE ARE PHRASES FOR ALL THREE 2-CARD COMBINATIONSis a stream-of-consciousness bridge to your subconscious if you use it regularly – people report.

*Go to Learn Tarot by Pictures.  It is what each of the cards, by itself, has to say.  It shows you how that illustration makes that card’s meanings in today’s Spread. All the words of each Tarot card reading you see here are a phrase-by-phrase translation of the scene pictured on those cards: no filler, no psychic impressions, no spirit guide. Word-for-word Tarot Verbatim™.

You can put all this together and intuitively see yourself how Tarot Verbatim™ works.

This is a group reading, with no Questioner and no Question to limit what the cards say, so there’s more variety – even contradictions – than a personal reading would give you. Also, pronouns are flexible: If the sentence feels like it’s yours, and it says ‘he,’ but you’re a ‘she,’ well, it’s yours.

*AND if you write names of any two cards into the Google search bar, it will give you meanings of those!

Hanged Man – Knight of Wands – Justice

.

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

.

……………….……………………  Our story is realizing (Hanged Man) and moving in a hurry (Knight of Wands) in the right direction (Justice). Most of the sentences are about that, about pursuing your vision and proceeding in the direction of what you feel in your gut is right. We extol that gut feeling, saying you always know the next step in your personal spiritual growth, and you should hurry up and get moving that way.

………………………..  Hanged Man is the short circuit where our conscious mind connects with the not-conscious levels of our awareness that are foreign to us, partly because of the language wall. It has a pretty good spread of meanings, but here are the ones we are using today, from each sentence:

From ‘Pursue Your Own Ideas’ –

your own ideas

the idea of

your vision

psychic impressions

intuition

inspiration,

feeling in your gut

spiritual idea

I know

private idea you’ve got

tune in to

have the urge

Your gut tells you

energetic realization

You’ve got the idea

From ‘The Rush to be Rational’ –

my inspirations

realization

The ‘something’ that tells you

a feeling

my mind is racing

From ‘The Pursuit of How Things Ought to Be’

intense desire

had a dream

have a dream

I remember

the idea of

The last two give us ‘I’ve got a feeling,’ ‘understand,’ and ‘realize.’

……………………….. Knight of Wands is the pursuit, is the energy behind the vision, and is the ‘hurry up and get on with it’ of today’s snapshot of reality. You see a horseman speeding but riding a rearing horse, so there’s great haste in the illustration. Here are all the phrases about this:

First, from ‘Pursue Your Own Ideas’

take it and run with it

He travels fastest

take it and run with it

left _ behind to pursue

get you going

spurred on

go headlong in that direction

chase

head in that direction

flee

as you go along

In the heat of an energetic

Get moving on it

– and then from the rest of the sentences –

rush

get on with

get the heck out of there

got a ways to go

racing

pursue

putting all my energy into

hurrying to get there

spurred on

speeding

going faster than

left _ behind back there

abandoning course

to leave

..…………….………….  Justice holds a sword, which brings law enforcement front and center, but we aren’t using that today at all. Justice has a narrow spectrum of application (few meanings, in other words) and today we use what I call its ‘rationality’ meanings. Here are the words it makes:

should

entitled

correct

It’s okay

sanity

justice

what’s right

just right

rational

sober

sanity

sane

make sense of things

normal

a right to

how things ought to be

Justice itself

legal

the right thing to do

……….………….  Hanged Man and Knight of Wands  Hanged Man and Knight of Wands are about pursuing (Knight of Wands) your dream, your idea, your vision, your psychic impression, you intuition, your inspiration, the feeling in your gut, a spiritual idea or a private idea you get, a knowing, an urge, something you tune into, an energetic realization … all of which are Hanged Man’s territory. Most of our sentences today describe you listening to your subconscious. Hanged Man is the subconscious and all its characteristics, as we see here. These are the sentences about all this:

PURSUE YOUR OWN IDEAS

Take that idea and run with it.

Pursue your vision.

He travels fastest whose psychic impressions ….

Take your intuition and run with it.

Pursue my inspiration.

A feeling in your gut gets you going.

Spurred on by a spiritual idea.

I know … and I go headlong in that direction.

Chase some private idea you get.

I tune in and I head in that direction.

Flee when you have the urge to.

Your gut tells you as you go along.

In the heat of an energetic realization.

You got the idea: Now get moving on it.

I rush to get my inspirations into _ territory.

A realization to get on with life.

The ‘something’ that tells you to get the heck out of there ….

I have a dream I am putting all my energy into.

I remember … and I’m hurrying to get there.

Spurred on by the idea itself.**

Now I understand why abandoning course ….

Now I realize … to leave.

Knight of Wands means to pursue, and Hanged Man is an intense feeling, and to remember, so we get these sentences from that:

An intense desire to pursue _.

I remember … to pursue ….

Knight of Wands is speeding, going fast, and leaving something behind … getting out of Dodge, so to speak. Hanged Man is ‘I got a feeling’ and ‘my mind.’ Here are those sentences for you:

GOT A FEELING I’M SPEEDING

You have a feeling you’re going faster ….

My mind is racing.

I have a feeling I left _ behind back there.

Lastly, we have an orphan sentence for Hanged Man and Knight of Wands. It just doesn’t fit in to the other categories. Hanged Man is ‘I’ve got a feeling,’ and Knight of Wands is ‘I’ve got a ways to go,’ because he is on the road and has not arrived. Here is that sentence:

A feeling I’ve got a ways to go. x..

……….…………  Hanged Man and Justice  Hanged Man and Justice are the right (Justice) idea (Hanged Man). This is stated in so many ways I shall do them separately, but they are all restatements of this one idea, nevertheless. Justice is ‘should,’ so we have ‘You should take that idea and ….” Justice is entitled, and Hanged Man is vision, so ‘You are entitled to your own vision.’ Hanged Man is psychic impression, and Justice is ‘okay,’ (along the lines of ‘right’) so ‘It’s okay to take your intuition….’ ‘My sanity’ (Justice) is my inspiration (Hanged Man). Justice (Justice) as a spiritual idea (Hanged Man). I remember (Hanged Man) I have a right to (Justice). Now I realize (Hanged Man) how right I was.’ I know (Hanged Man) what’s right for me (Justice). It’s perfectly okay (Justice), some private idea you get (Hanged Man). I tune in to (Hanged Man) what’s right (Justice). ‘It’s okay to’ (Justice) ‘when you have the urge to’ – because Hanged Man is an intense feeling, an instinct, or an urge. ‘Your gut’ (Hanged Man) ‘tells you what’s right.’ ‘A realization’ (Hanged Man) ‘that’s just right for me.’ You’ve got the right (Justice) idea (Hanged Man). ‘Get my inspirations’ (Hanged Man) ‘rational’ (Justice). ‘A sober’ (Justice) ‘realization’ (Hanged Man). ‘That “something” that tells you’ (Hanged Man) ‘is your sanity’ (Justice). ‘A feeling’ (Hanged Man) ‘I’m sane’ (Justice). ‘My mind’ (Hanged Man) ‘is making sense of things’ (Justice). ‘I remember’ or ‘I have a dream’ (Hanged Man) ‘how things ought to be’ (Justice).

You should take that idea and …

You are entitled to your own vision.

Psychic impressions are correct.

It’s okay to take your intuition ….

my sanity … my inspiration.

Justice as a spiritual idea.

I remember I have a right to ….

Now I realize how right I was.

I know what’s right for me.

It’s perfectly okay, some private idea you get.

I tune in to what’s right ….

It’s okay to, when you have the urge to.

Your gut tells you what’s right.

A realization that’s just right for me.

You’ve got the right idea.

Get my inspirations rational.

A sober realization.

The ‘something’ that tells you … is your sanity.

A feeling … I’m sane.

My mind is making sense of things.

I remember how things ought to be.

I have a dream of How Things Ought to Be.

Hanged Man is a feeling, a feeling in your gut, and an idea. Justice covers ‘should,’ ‘legal’ and ‘normal.’ So we make these sentences:

A feeling in your gut should ….

The idea of Justice itself.

You have a feeling when you are legal ….

An intense desire to just be normal.

I have a feeling I am normal. Feel I am normal. x..

……..…………   Knight of Wands and Justice  Justice has fewer and stronger meanings than most other Tarot cards. It means, here: should, entitled, correct, okay, sanity, justice, what’s right, rational, sober, sanity, sane, make sense of things, how things ought to be, normal, have a right, and legal. All these are easy to recognize. Knight of Wands here is the usual and also easy to recognize: run with it, pursue and pursuit, travels fast, left behind, get you going, spurred on, go headlong in that direction, chase, head in that direction, flee, as you go along, the heat of an energetic, get moving on it, rush, get on with life, get the heck out, a way to go, racing, putting energy into, hurrying to get there, spurred on, going faster, left behind back there, abandoning course, leave.

You should run with it.

You are entitled to pursue.

You are entitled to the pursuit of ….

He travels fastest who is correct.

It’s okay to … run with it.

I left my sanity behind.

should get you going.

Spurred on my justice.

what’s right for me, and I go headlong in that direction.

It’s perfectly okay to chase ….

what’s right, and I head in that direction.

It’s okay to flee.

what’s right, as you go along.

In the heat of an energetic _ that’s just right for me.

You got it right: Now get moving on it.

THE RUSH TO BE RATIONAL

I rush to get into rational territory.

A sober _ to get on with life.

get the heck out of there is your sanity.

I’ve got a ways to go before I am sane.

Racing to make sense of things.

THE PURSUIT OF HOW THINGS OUGHT TO BE

to pursue just being normal.

I have a right to pursue ….

I am putting all my energy into How Things Ought to be.

how things ought to be, and I’m hurrying to get there.

Spurred on by Justice itself.

You’re going faster than the legal limit.

I left ‘normal’ behind back there.

Abandoning course was the right thing to do.

How right I was to leave. x..

There was a mushy philosophical discussion about spiritual growth in Linked-In. I put shape to it by saying that we all know in our gut what our next step is, and our next step is all we need to know, because when we do it, we know what the next one is. All you have to do for spiritual growth is do what you know is right, and keep doing that. And that this step does not correlate with anyone else’s next step any more than an engineering student’s lessons correspond with an art major’s. That is the point Tarot is making today for us. It is repeated in different ways in sentence after sentence. Amazing.

.

Hanged Man ……….. Hanged Man today is knowing – knowing and realizing on any level at all, whether conscious, subconscious, super-conscious, psychic, intuition, impression, gut feeling, putting two and two together, ‘getting it’ – anything at all that enters awareness on any level – but especially subconscious shots-across-the-bow to the normal daily mentality. When this happens, you get a disoriented feeling (and often don’t consciously remember, just like you don’t remember dreams which also are usually of subconscious origin), a feeling that things … or you … are upside-down, and your energy goes to your thinking process instantaneously. So you are upside-down and your hair is on fire: That’s the illustration. Its origin is the several myths that have the hero sacrificing a body part for wisdom, and hanging on a tree to do so. Odin is one of those, from Viking annals.

.

Knight of Wands …………. Knight of Wands is rush, speed, hurry, fast progress, fleeing and pursuing. It’s also the fast track and the rat race, but not today. You see a fellow who looks shaken up to me atop a rearing horse moving fast. His weapon is by his side, which would suggest fleeing more than pursuing, too, but the card frequently means pursuing, as it does today.

.

Justice ………….   Justice is justice, fairness, the way things should be or are supposed to be, what we ought to have or be or do. Justice is straight, right, correct, legal, sensible, normal, sober, sane and okay, not to mention rational. We are not using its legal-industry meanings, or the ones about deserving and being entitled to. So that’s all justice has to say here today.

When police say that, you just know there’s brutality.

I got the idea I am making you do right next time.

Now, Part Two,

Do you want to know a little, or a lot, about how this Tarot Verbatim™ thing works? If so,

*Go to Learn Tarot by Observing section below. This tells about the combined four pictures in the Tarot Readings – the pictures above here.  It explains how these four cards get together in your mind to make the messages.

*Go to Learn Tarot by Pictures.  It is what each of the four cards, by itself, has to say.

This is a group reading, with no Questioner and no Question to limit what the cards say, so there’s more variety – even contradictions – and also the pronouns are more flexible. If it feels like it’s yours, and it says ‘he,’ and you’re a ‘she,’ feel free to adopt it anyway.

Hanged Man

Two of Wands – World – Queen of Swords

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

.

Hanged Man and Judgment both are about sudden realization.
Judgment and Justice obviously are both law cards, about legal processes. Judgment is more often the court system, especially the serving of papers or the announcing of a decree or verdict. Justice is more often lawyers, judges, police and other members of the industry.
Ace of Wands and Justice Ace of Wands means enforcement or force, and Justice is law and police, so they make law enforcement and police force. They also make police brutality, since (obviously) Ace of Wands is to hit or strike with a weapon. Other meanings for Ace of Wands is to make (or force) someone do something, or make something happen; top priority or ‘most important,’ and even ‘most.’ So Ace of Wands and Justice say that lawsuit is top priority. With Justice also meaning ‘right,’ these two cards in Tarot Verbatim™ say ‘Make (you) do it right’ and ‘Has to be done right,’ and other things like that.

Ace of Wands and Judgment We talked about Judgment meaning a decree. Ace of Wands means force. ‘Mandamus’ is a legal word that means ‘you have to, it’s a command.’ So Ace of Wands and Judgment say ‘Writ of Mandamus.’ It’s a higher court telling a lower court ‘Do this.’

Ace of Wands and Judgment And here’s our New Year’s resolution. Judgment is obviously a New Year’s kinda guy, what with the horn and meaning ‘to return to’ and ‘again.’ Ace of Wands is a resolution: I gotta do that.

Ace of Wands A hand with a big stick obviously means enforcement, force, have to, must, gotta and so on. It means ‘resolution’ too here.

Hanged Man (If he keeps showing up like this, we will charge him rent.) His phrases are: realization (90% of the time), thinking, strong feeling, get the picture, the idea, the thought strikes, notion, now that I remember, in a vision, thinking up, you know, your mind, intensely emotional … for today. The illustration sticks in your mind and enacts for you how you feel when all of a sudden you realize you knew that all along yet it’s reinterpreting your reality without letup as you stand helplessly by.

Judgment A new phase, a sudden change, a big noise, a public statement, to return to a former place or state or whatever. Those meanings dovetail nicely with the concept of New Year’s, especially with the angel’s trumpet blaring out to raise the dead.

Justice The law says you should, you ought to, you are entitled to, and those are common phrases for this card. Police as well as courts, with the scales of justice and the sword of enforcement. Right, correct, straight, straighten out, sane and sober: All of these belong to Justice.

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

.

Six of Cups is children, being given something, a good home life, romance and trust, childhood (especially a good one) and sweet memories (nostalgia for the good old days).

Ten of Pentacles is family trouble, including trouble with relatives, neighbors, the extended clan or outsiders. It’s any messed-up human group, even a gang or organization.

Put Six of Cups and Ten of Pentacles together, and you have children of a dysfunctional family, children being a family’s problem, the relatives giving to the children, the neighbor’s children (or the neighbors and your children).

Since Six of Cups is also home sweet home and Ten of Pentacles is a house as well, the neighborhood may be a topic.

Those two cards are the dominant theme: family situations involving children.

Then there’s justice, which brings in ‘entitled’ and ‘should’ and ‘deserving.’ It brings in real estate legal matters too, with both of the other cards being houses.

Six of Cups and Justice is about deserving or being entitled to be given something, entitled to support. So of course it is child support, and inheritance (a legal gift to a child).

Ten of Pentacles and Justice is literally ‘family court,’ so we have juvenile court. We also have relatives who feel entitled … and Six of Cups makes that ‘entitled to be given’ something. These two cards can represent a law firm, since Ten of Pentacles is a group, and Justice is lawyers.

Hanged Man is a bystander to our spread today. He means to be aware, to know, to realize. He is recognition and acknowledgment. He is about a strong feeling (or even instinct), so Hanged Man and Justice say ‘feel entitled’ and also say a psychic impression is correct.

Six of Cups shows Little Boy giving Little Girl flowers. It evokes childhood, the sweet life, being taken care of, being a good child, receiving … as in receiving love, gifts, etc.  “I deserve to be loved and taken care of” is what it says. It is about a cozy house, the good old days, memories, past love.

Ten of Pentacles says if you are a human, you are a member of a human family and you are involved in its problems.  Trouble with other people is the human condition.  The clan, the tribe, the family, the community, even the nation, are complicating your life.  The illustration is sooo on point: Grandpa sits on his throne, the family dogs submitting to his august authority.  Husband stares into space as Wife earnestly addresses him and Kid pulls on her clothes, squalling.  Oh yeah, family problems.  Few of us humans escape this scene.

Hanged Man pictures acute awareness, flashback, intense feeling, realizing, instinctual urge, knowing, recognizing, acknowledging, extrasensory perception, mind-reading, sensing, perceiving … whether conscious or unconscious or on the bridge between the two.  Its illustration is not transparent.  The upside-down person represents the feeling you get when your subconscious drops a realization into your real-life experience that is instantly recognizable as the truth.  As in “Oh-comma-shit, he/she is fooling around on me.”  As in “OH NO, they are going to fire me.”

Justice Its title says it all. The scales of justice in one hand and the sword of enforcement in the other. But justice also stands for our concept of ‘fair,’ and becomes involved in: should; deserve; entitled, being right. Any part of the justice industry at all is represented by this Tarot card – police, lawyers, judges, regulators, security guards – any part of that story.

Advice says the human condition is about family and kids who are a problem or who have problems with the family …  or both.  When you love one another,  you know things are the way they ought to be even when there are problems caused by outsiders or family.  He/She thinks  “I am entitled to have other people support me and/or give me things.”  The kids are very aware of the family’s problems,  so they are going straight.

(At the time of production, there’s no way to correct the lack of spaces after punctuation. I am writing around it now!)

Is this the first time you come here? Well …  what to do:

*Go to Advice above which is a summary of the Messages.  (Advice is everyone’s favorite part.)

*Go to Daily Message Tarot Analysis below.  One or more of those sentences has something to say to you.  Intuitively pick those out.  They are about you and the people around you.  They are about today and the days around it.  (It is a group message like a horoscope,  except Tarot isn’t based on someone else’s birth data,  so it can be specific, accurate,  detailed and direct.  Our experiment here is  “How much more accurate is it?”)

Did you come here for your predictions? –  You are done now –  See you tomorrow.

Without a question to focus the answer,  four cards can mean contradictory things especially when the Spread has a card that negates other cards.  Without a question also the pronouns in a group reading are more flexible,  especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads.  When a pronoun is in parentheses,  feel very free to substitute.  The question in a ‘real’ individual reading supplies at least half the information!

JUSTICE

SIX OF CUPS –  TEN OF PENTACLES –  HANGED MAN

MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS:  OBSERVATION OF THE SPREAD

First thing you notice here is the first two Rider Waite Tarot citizens.  Six of Cups is children of the family,  and it’s the sweet life,  the good children.  Next is the Ten of Pentacles family and its problems,  including problems with the neighbors,  the clan,  the extended family,  outside influences in general.  This is the theme:  children and family.

The general and intense awareness of Hanged Man is next.  Realization,  recognition,  acknowledgment.  And we close with Justice,  the way things are supposed to be or  ‘should’  or  ‘deserve’  or  ‘entitlement.’

Six of Cups and Justice is about deserving or being entitled to being taken care of, entitled to support.  It also,  literally interpreted,  means  ‘child support.’  In the same breath,  Ten of Pentacles and Justice together mean  ‘family court’  (a/k/a ‘juvenile court’) and  ‘the extended family that feels entitled.’

MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS:  INDIVIDUAL RIDER WAITE TAROT CARDS

Six of Cups shows Little Boy giving Little Girl flowers.  It evokes childhood,  the sweet life,  being taken care of,  being a good child,  receiving … as in receiving love,  gifts,  etc.  “I deserve to be loved and taken care of”  is what it says.

Hanged Man pictures acute awareness,  flashback,  intense feeling,  realizing,  knowingness,  recognizing,  acknowledging,  extrasensory perception,  mindreading,  sensing,  perceiving …  whether conscious or unconscious or the bridge between the two.  Its illustration is not transparent.  The upside-down person represents the feeling you get when your subconscious drops a realization into your real-life experience that is instantly recognizable as the truth.  As in “Oh-comma-shit, he/she is fooling around on me.”  As in  “The government is not what it represents itself to be …  duh.”  As in  “OH NO,  they are going to fire me.”

Justice where the title says it all.  One of the obvious meanings,  yes?  The scales of justice in one hand and the sword of enforcement in the other.  What is deserved,  what ___ is entitled to.  What is right.  Court,  cops,  police,  lawyers …  the justice industry.

Tarot spread 01-07-11

Two of Pentacles, Justice, Four of Pentacles

Sometimes things happen not quite the way there were supposed to, but happen OK.

The intuitive realization that things are going to be the way they should persists but hasn’t quite reached the eureka awareness stage yet. It keeps trying to burst into your head.

Realize the court action is proceeding but it is being kept a secret from you.

Haven’t quite let yourself realize things are in the process of straightening themselves out.

Keep suppressing an instinct that things are in the process of straightening out.

This is about “I feel for it but I can’t quite reach it.”  About not quite realizing but knowing.  About “knowing without knowing.”
