GUIDANCE Being mindful of ‘the rules’ – of the road signs and the unspoken understandings of what is considered proper – so as to deliberately, consciously either follow or excuse ourselves from them … either adhere to them get out of them. We are looking at where we, personally, place that marker between the extremes of conventional and wild. Of course, our decisions and our determinations are not as to all the rules all the time, but on a case-by-case basis. ‘Some things are negotiable, and some are not’ in our personal life philosophies, and it’s best to hang out most of the time with people whose marker is approximately where you have your own parked.

Tarot Readings: I’m Sure I’m Okay (Hierophant and Knight of Pentacles)
In a crooked world, I am real for sure.
I am sure I am okay in spite of some games being played.
You can be sure that even the safest course has unintended consequences.
Make sure you look respectable.
I usually act sure of myself.
Be mindful of your physical appearance.
A plain man is ambitious in the real physical world.
I see how I make commitments to people who take advantage.
….. .. …….… … .. …..
Tarot Readings: They Way They Are, and the Way They Seem (Hierophant and Six of Wands)
I think about the way things are, and the way they seem to be.
His perspective is that he was tricked into committing.
I see the routines, the rituals, sucking me in.
Looking at it, this only seems to be a good place.
Pretending to be sober: I know that one!
Focus: You are being distracted from the facts.
….. .. …….… … .. …..
Tarot Readings: Conforming to the Program (Hierophant and Six of Wands)
I aim to go along with this program for my own good.
It takes willpower to conform, to go along with a program.
I will pass this program any way I can.
A dogma has programmed this person’s mindset.
When it’s your agenda, you think it’s clean.
To be a crook, you have to look honest.
I know when I’m conforming and when I’m faking it.
Due to circumstances beyond my control, behaving myself is my priority.
….. .. …….…… . . …..
Tarot Readings: Got to Play the Role (Knight of Pentacles and Six of Wands)
I put all my energy into seeming to be okay.
Looking to sleaze out and still look good.
You’ve got to play the role when you’re in church.
Watching them pretend to be straight.
He knows how to bend the rules.
A traditional belief that is counterproductive.

Hierophant – Knight of Pentacles – Six of Wands

.
LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING
LEARN TAROT BY PICTURES..
….. .. …….…… .. …..…………, This is an interesting spread. To the left is Hierophant the Pope, the well-behaved by-the-book straight arrow conventional person. To the right is the opposite type of people: the crook, the schemer, the con artist, the white-collar criminal and sleazeball who did you wrong, who honors no ethics and no rules. The sociopath.
And what do we have in the middle? – deciding, taking a good look, being very mindful … and self-interest. So Knight of Pentacles can apply to putting one’s whole energy into doing right and being decent (the influence of Hierophant), or can apply to actively taking foul advantage of one’s fellows (the influence of Six of Wands). And here we have both, and we have only that: We have stories.
Hierophant and Knight of Pentacles Hierophant and Knight of Pentacles express a focus on physical, ordinary, real-world, established means to an end. These two Rider Waite Tarot cards also describe a plain man who is ambitious in the real physical ordinary world.
…….…..………………………. Hierophant and Six of Wands Hierophant and Six of Wands are the heart of our message. These are the two cards that contrast the crooked, Six of Wands, and the straight, Hierophant. (There are two categories in the one-sentence Tarot Readings that cover this; you can go up there and read all of them.] Six of Wands and Hierophant say the con artist is so respectable. They say ‘Playing it straight in a crooked world.’ They state the routine, the rituals, suck us in. People pretending to be straight. It’s so real when you are fooling yourself. Your own sneaky agenda seems clean to you. Here is the clash.
…….…..………………………. Knight of Pentacles and Six of Wands Knight of Pentacles is focusing on one thing, is self-interest, is putting energy on one thing, is looking or watching, and is believing. These things apply to the many meanings of Six of Wands – things like pretending, playing a role, sleazing out, taking foul advantage. Six of Wands is the crook, the con artist, the sociopath, a deliberate doer of great harm who sets up a trap. Bernie Madof, for instance, would qualify. But this pair can also simply say ‘putting my energy into playing my role.’
.

.
GET A SINGLE CARD’S MEANINGS: TYPE ITS NAME AND ‘TAROT VERBATIM’ INTO GOOGLE.
Hierophant Hierophant is the pope, and he is doing what he usually and routinely does. Hierophant means being decent, behaving, conforming, the official story, committing, the usual, the ordinary, normal and okay. This Rider Waite Tarot card is in bad company today: Six of Wands is pretending to be all the things Hierophant is. Hierophant is harmless; Six of Wands is pretending to be harmless. Hierophant means the official appearance, the face of things, and Six of Wands is putting on a false face. And on down the line: the actual physical real and real-world thing versus the fake.
Knight of Pentacles Here is this sturdy muscled fellow on his sturdy muscled horse. The horse is stopped, and the man stares intensely at what he holds, which is money (Pentacles are coins.) The main point of Knight of Pentacles is the focus, the concentration. The energy. The determination: These too. A common phrase for Knight of Pentacles is ‘one thing on his mind.’ Today, though, strung between the real thing, Hierophant, and the appearance of it, Six of Wands, our Knight of Pentacles is mainly knowing the difference. This idea is phrased in quite a few ways, but it all boils down to the same thing.
Six of Wands In our illustration here, King Richard III of England is being lured to chase some Arabs and win a battle against them … and get kidnapped and held for life so the next in line to the throne can be king. (The same kidnapping scene happened to Joan of Arc.) So Six of Wands in Tarot Verbatim™ is about a pretense designed to harm, is about scheming, a plot, a double-cross, pulling off some caper. It is about the con artist, even on a Bernie Madof scale. Six of Wands is all about intrigue, betrayal, pretense, false friends and people who have a use for you. Games People Play.
Six of Wands applies from the perspective of the victim as well, bringing on a fresh set of meanings about us falling for that seal of approval, that label, that dogma, buying into the facade believing ‘something’s in it for me.’ (Note those Hierophant meanings there.) We join a campaign, we work for a company, we take up with a person … that we think ‘is on our side,’ and it turns out we’ve been had.
.
.
.
.
What seems to be, and what’s real. Being for real versus playing the role. We contrast ‘I see the routines, the rituals, sucking me in’ with ‘I aim to go along with this program for my own good,’ making the point that playing a role isn’t, per se, a bad thing.

Guidance Today we investigate making good money legitimately. Take creative advantage of the lay of the land and keep your mind on the physical scene where it intersects your talents and your interests, because money is made on terra firma (solid ground). Whatever your goal is, put your energy and intention there. If your goal is finding Mr. or Mrs. Right, the strategy is similar. Things happen for the best in love and in finance when you make sure you are okay with yourself. Focus first on a chance to make the best of what already is. Being decent for its own sake is a reward in itself.

Hierophant The illustration of the pope with monks kneeling refers to official ritual, the public face, the historical narrative they teach you when you’re in school: Things that are legitimate, acceptable, considered respectable. Hierophant means ordinary, mundane, physical, and official, including officially in your name, as a title, say. It also means benefit without harm, harmless and honest. Things are definitely kosher and legal and above-board (no matter how filthy they actually are).
Ace of Pentacles Being on the straight and narrow makes you rich. That’s a very Protestant idea. The hand with gold in it over the straight and narrow (gold) path that begins with lilies for purity and ends in a rose trellis for victory gives rise to the meanings of ‘right’ and ‘correct’ as well as anything financially sound. Cash in hand, it says, ever so clearly.
Wheel of Fortune You hit the jackpot. What a stroke of luck. Karma and destiny join in. On a deeper level is the idea that randomness has intention, and all sorts of entities with books out there are having their two cents in what happens where we live. The (Hebrew) Name of God is in the center of the circle that looks like a roulette wheel. So is TARO and ROTA. The red lizard is demonic (Edgar Rice Burroughs). Not sure about the sexy blue sphinx. This Rider Waite Tarot card often means ‘It happens’ or happening.
Knight of Pentacles is a stereotype: The short and sturdy, maybe loud and pushy tough guy, ‘muscle.’ He can also be a self-interested boyfriend. You see him stare at the pentacle: He is about focus or even obsession. This Rider Waite Tarot card refers sometimes to concentration, to knowing one thing or having one thing in mind. Sometimes, he is the guy who has only one girl in mind.

Guidance parallels having the right idea financially and succeeding with having the right path in life and succeeding. Tarot frequently parallels love relationships and business deals. These messages parallel spirituality and finances. Focus is key to success in both spiritual and financial life, we are saying. The reward is a sure thing to those who are right – the reward being a new lease on spiritual life and/or financial life. Say what is on your mind that you are entitled to be paid.

Knight of Pentacles
Hierophant – Ace of Pentacles – Judgment
LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING
.
Both Hierophant and Ace of Pentacles mean ‘right.’ Hierophant means what everybody accepts – the usual surface aspect, official reality, ‘the way things are.’ Hierophant is ‘pope.’ Ace of Pentacles shows ‘the right path’ and means ‘right’ very often. Both these cards will translate ‘correct’ at times. On the other hand, Hierophant is mundane reality, physical life, and Ace of Pentacles means financial success often, so Hierophant and Ace of Pentacles say ‘worldly success.’ This is where our twin themes of spiritual success and money success come from. Hierophant and Ace of Pentacles also say finances are normal or ‘enough money’ or even ‘the usual price,’ which would probably refer to retail price. Hierophant means ‘entitled,’ So these two cards say ‘entitled to the award’ or ‘entitled to the money.’
Judgment is to speak or make a big announcement. Knight of Pentacles is to know one thing for sure. Together, Judgment and Knight of Pentacles are about telling people what you know, saying what is on your mind, publishing your view(s).
With Judgment meaning ‘returning to a former state’ and Knight of Pentacles being a sturdy, vigorous man, Judgment and Knight of Pentacles say ‘restores his vigor or strength.’
Now, going back to the first and main meanings we gave for these pairs:
When you add Hierophant and Ace of Pentacles to Judgment and Knight of Pentacles, you get: openly speaking up for what you know to be right. That is one of our themes.
Now for the religion theme:
We have the pope (Hierophant), then the right path (Ace of Pentacles), then an angel (Judgment) – the angel that announces the resurrection. Obviously, this is about religion. These three Rider Waite Tarot cards are followed by Knight of Pentacles, who is focused on one belief, thing or priority. Hierophant and Ace of Pentacles say ‘the right religion.’ Hierophant and Knight of Pentacles describe belief in one religion. They also describe someone who is convinced what he thinks is right, since Hierophant, of course, also means ‘correct, right, and accepted.’ Can you see ‘the usual viewpoint’ is Hierophant and Knight of Pentacles?
Hierophant and Judgment are a religious revelation or discovery, or religion changing one’s life – and also to return to religion, since Judgment means to return to a former state (i.e., resurrect). These two Tarot cards also translate ‘say the right words,’ what you say is so right-on,’ and ‘return to normal.’ With Hierophant meaning an official paper or certificate, when you add Judgment, you have a document that officially says something – a legal document, especially a decree, judgment or even verdict.
.
Now for the lawsuit theme:
We have ‘entitled’ in Hierophant (pope), money in Ace of Pentacles, a court judgment in Judgment – followed by Knight of Pentacles, who has one thing – the decision – in mind. This is easily about a lawsuit.
LEARN TAROT BY PICTURES
.
Hierophant shows the public face of a religion, distinguishing what is presented to the public from whatever else – so Hierophant is about ‘face.’ It is about surface appearances – good behavior as perhaps distinguished from a good heart; morality as perhaps distinguished from decency; reputation as distinguished from character; the ritual as distinguished from the concept behind it. It means the official story we present our public about who we are, and the official story governments and businesses present to their public (us) about who and what they are. It refers to a decent, harmless, normal person. It is about the usual routine, the daily protocols. As ‘official,’ it is about documents and certificates and ‘papers.’ Hierophant also means ‘entitled’ as part of its ‘rightful’ meanings. It translates ‘should’ often.
Ace of Pentacles The illustration shows ‘the right path,’ straight and narrow as we would expect, and suggests a reward for being on it. Being right and being successful go hand in hand, Ace of Pentacles says: Lilies in the front for purity and a victory trellis of roses at the end; the path is golden and the hand over it has a gold coin. It means success and money, and will translate as ‘correct’ and as ‘financial.’
Judgment shows the resurrection angel making its Big Announcement, and people coming to new life as a result. Often, it means ‘again’ and ‘the second time.’ Its other meanings are publicity and announcement, the decision of a court or jury in a lawsuit (because of the word ‘judgment’), a shift or change, sudden or suddenly, revelation, discovery, surprise or alarm. Judgment is one of the cards that means ‘return’ because the bodies are returning to their former state: being alive. To restore, revive, review … many words beginning in ‘re’ that infer ‘again.’ Yes, it means ‘again’ often, too.
Knight of Pentacles depicts the man with one thing on his mind. He is sure. He has decided. His attention and energy are concentrated and focused on one thing – often his ambition. He is obsessed, sometimes in a bad way. He is a physical man, often a strong man, even a punk. Put him next to a female card, and the likely meaning is ‘He has eyes only for her.’

Four Card Spreads, Our Daily Spread
Advice parallels having the right idea financially and succeeding with having the right path in life and succeeding. Tarot frequently parallels spirituality and finances. Focus is key to this spiritual and/or financial success; and the reward is a sure thing to those who are right – the reward being a new lease on life (spiritually and/or financially). Say what is on your mind that you are entitled to be paid.
(At the time of production, there’s no way to correct the lack of spaces after punctuation. I am writing around it now!)\
=========================================================================
Is this the first time you come here? Well … what to do:
*Go to Advice above which is a summary of the Messages. (Advice is everyone’s favorite part.)
*Go to Daily Message Tarot Analysis below. One or more of those sentences has something to say to you. Intuitively pick those out. They are about you and the people around you. They are about today and the days around it. (It is a group message like a horoscope, except Tarot isn’t based on someone else’s birth data, so it can be specific, accurate, detailed and direct. Our experiment here is “How much more accurate is it?”)
Did you come here for your predictions? – You are done now – See you tomorrow.
Without a question to focus the answer, four cards can mean contradictory things especially when the Spread has a card that negates other cards. Without a question also the pronouns in a group reading are more flexible, especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads. When a pronoun is in parentheses, feel very free to substitute. The question in a ‘real’ individual reading supplies at least half the information!

Knight of Pentacles
Hierophant – Ace of Pentacles – Judgment
MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS: OBSERVATION OF THE SPREAD
These are interesting. Both Hierophant (the pope) and Ace of Pentacles mean ‘right.’ Judgment is to speak or make a big announcement. Knight of Pentacles is to know one thing for sure. This is about openly speaking up for what you know to be right.
We have the pope, then the right path (Ace of Pentacles), then an angel in Judgment (the one that announces a resurrection) followed by the Knight of Pentacles idea of ‘one thing in mind.’ This is easily a story about religion.
We have ‘entitled’ in the Hierophant (pope), money in Ace of Pentacles, and the idea of a court judgment in Judgment – followed by Knight of Pentacles, who has one thing – the decision – in mind. This is easily about a lawsuit.
MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS: INDIVIDUAL RIDER WAITE TAROT CARDS
Hierophant shows the public face of a religion, distinguishing what is enacted for the public from whatever else: the ritual as opposed to the actual concept or teaching. It means the official story, the good behavior (perhaps as distinguished from the good heart), morality (perhaps as distinguished from actual decency). It is reputation.
Ace of Pentacles suggests a reward for being on the ‘right path.’ Being right and being successful go hand in hand. Lilies in the front for purity and a victory trellis of roses at the end; the path is golden and the hand over it has a gold coin.
Judgment shows the resurrection angel making its Big Announcement, and people coming to new life as a result. Its meanings are publicity and announcement, the decision of a court or jury in a lawsuit (because of the word ‘judgment’), a shift or change, sudden or suddenly, shift, revelation.

Advice is that perspective rules: The relationship of what you think to what you do. You decide to avoid doing the usual thing in the routine way, and you do it your own unique creative way. Or, you see that ‘you ain’t doin’ it right’ and follow the instructions. Or you see you are not doing right in the moral sense, and change your ways. The contrast is whether to depart from the usual, the routine, the proper the orthodox. Neither choice is preferable or right all the time. =========================================================================

======================================================================== Hierophant Knight of Pentacles, Magician, Six of Swords DAILY MESSAGE TAROT ANALYSIS Tell the visitors here something useful and meaningful to them. Creative Thinking Perspective First keep the usual ways to do this in mind, and then depart from there! Most importantly, just avoid doing what everybody else is doing. Getting yourself/himself out of mindsets is the first order of importance. He isn’t doing what the average macho guy does anymore. When you get past the phase of how it’s supposed to be done, you focus on your own way to do it. He deliberately avoids orthodox activities. A whole different perspective or ‘slant’ on doing the same thing. Yes, he makes up his mind to depart from the norm. He studiously avoids rote actions or rituals. Keep your mind on what you are doing, avoid protocol (doing it the usual way). He is a tough guy whose actions are out of the ordinary. Conformity Perspective Now that that’s over, you know the right way to do it! Think about how it will look (your reputation) before you do it. He comes to realize he isn’t doing what he is supposed to anymore. Yes, you know this is not the way it’s supposed to be done. He is deciding from now on to go straight (do what is acceptable). He sees the proper way to go to get it done. ======================================================================== Now, Part Two,

========================================================================= Meanings and Illustrations: Observation of the Spread We have four unrelated cards, no theme, but they express pretty much the same thing. Knight of Pentacles is focus, the most important, deliberately. Magician is acting, doing. Both these cards are very male oriented. Then we have putting it behind and going off in another direction, or avoiding. Then we have the Hierophant (pope) – the usual way, orthodoxy, protocol, the way it’s supposed to be or is accepted. The main idea you get from this cafeteria is to do it your own way and avoid protocol, to have a different idea. But of course it reads the reverse way as well – to quit what you are doing and do right or do (it) the right way. The moral of the story here is: Perspective rules. Meanings and Illustrations: Individual Rider Waite Tarot Cards Knight of Pentacles is focus, to have one thing on your mind, the most important. It is also deliberate, aforethought. As a person, this is a touch guy, a macho man. This is the short dark fella on the short dark horse. Magician is the male principle: action. Conjugate the verb ‘to do,’ and go on with the verb ‘make.’ To bring about, to bring down. Illustration is the male magician in the act of making something happen (or not happen) with his wand. Six of Swords is to head off out of here for a better life, another direction. To avoid. We aren’t using its other meanings today. Illustration in Rider Waite Tarot is a mother and child leaving a bad scene with the help of a friend who has a boat. Hierophant: It’s all about behaving, doing right, following procedures, ritual, rote, the way things are supposed to be, the rigid mentality. The picture is the pope which is what ‘Hierophant’ means.
