Tarot Readings for You for March 13, 2014 Thursday©

Guidance       Today is all job related.    Scenarios and attitudes that determine how a worker fits the work.    Will they think you’re management if you show them how to do their job?    Do you get ahead by being friendly?    There’s that barely visible line in the sand between co-worker and supervisor that has social implications.    You succeed because a friend helps you figure out the job, or vice versa.   He quietly goes to work to see if he can do the work.   Whatever he does that gets him ahead is okay with him.    Indecisive about what he wants to achieve but willing to work.   Volunteer work may be the way to ingratiate yourself there.    Apply for whatever job you can accomplish.

The way he runs the place, if you are agreeable, you’ve got a job.

Seven of Pentacles

Eight of Pentacles – Knight of Cups – Chariot

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

Today these four Rider Waite Tarot cards are talking only about job and employment, because they covered Love in yesterday’s presentation.

We start with work, Eight of Pentacles, today’s star card. You see the carpenter at his work bench.

Chariot is over there as ambition, getting ahead, being in charge – even as a driver. He is known for getting the job done any way it can be done. He is willful; he has willpower.

Knight of Cups is polite, friendly, quietly helpful or a helper; he also suggests and applies for. He is willing; he cooperates.

And of course, Seven of Pentacles adds a question mark, wonders and ponders, or says ‘maybe.’ Here are some of his phrases today: ask, figure out, consider, seems, don’t think of, think of __ as, may be seen as, unknown, watch, somehow, don’t see a reason, ask for, whatever, indecisive, not so sure, whatever, if, guessing.

LEARN TAROT BY PICTURES

Eight of Pentacles       Work and employee and job site and labor. Steadily doing the same thing. Eight of Pentacles is repeated actions and habitual behaviors. Pictured is a carpenter at his bench making one after another identical item. This is a good illustration for the idea of a diligent worker: Have you ever heard a very experienced carpenter drive one nail after another on a construction site?

Knight of Cups       The quintessential nice guy or good guy: He is drawn in curving lines and painted in pastel colors, and so is his merry-go-round horse. He offers, he accepts, he is your friend or boyfriend. Knight of Cups is communicates, cooperates, and takes the initiative (Mercury’s wings on his helmet). At work, he is the quietly helpful facilitator or assistant. He takes initiative, makes suggestions, and is flexible.

Chariot      gets ahead, is ambitious, puts everything he’s got into – and uses everything in the environment to – get the job or project done. He is in charge, he is management, and he is no-nonsense no-excuses competent. A charioteer was a shock troop who had to skillfully handle an unwieldy two-wheeled vehicle and two horses in combat.

Seven of Pentacles       Gee, I wonder. I dunno. Maybe. You suppose? I planted cucumbers and maybe not enough to assure both genders, so I may not get any cucumbers this year. Doubt about the outcome. One of the cards that in Tarot Verbatim ™ puts the sentence into question form.

Tarot Readings for You for March 11, 2014 Tuesday©

Guidance       ‘Going with the flow’ eases us on the way to our destination. (1) Being friendly and cooperative, and (2) being competent and responsible: These are good for the success of my work and my social life. Of course, success isn’t a given. Sometimes something as simple as transportation affects it. Sometimes I try one thing after the other while wondering whether to ask for help. Sometimes I accept, because it is offered, something I would not have chosen. A Boyfriend who cheerfully does whatever it takes to make it work: Now, that is success.

Tarot Readings: Boyfriend, the Choice (Knight of Cups and Chariot)

Am I doing what I choose if I keep being the boyfriend?

Am I doing what I choose if I keep having him as a boyfriend?

Looks like a deliberate and persistent effort to be the boyfriend.

He decides/chooses to be the steady boyfriend if he can.

I think that is his friend who keeps driving around.

There may be a fellow at work who is deciding to be your boyfriend.

Boyfriend does whatever it takes to make it work, now that I think of it.

Why is boyfriend always working on his car?

Wonder whether boyfriend’s car is working.

I think I chose each and every boyfriend.

I might not choose you, but I will accept if you keep offering.

Tarot Readings: Strategies that Work (Eight of Pentacles and Chariot)

I might not have chosen that, but I will accept a repeated offer.

What can I do to motivate him in a nice way?

Do I really want to keep being polite, here?

Is he that nice, or what is his purpose for doing this?

I am working on winning, if you will help.

Nice guy, but what is his purpose asking the same questions over and over?

He graciously does whatever it takes to make it work.

I choose to do one after the other while wondering whether to ask for help.

Somehow you succeed by being a friend, every time.

A friend helps you overcome doubts about what you are doing.

He is deliberately polite almost all the time.

Why choose to do things the easy way?

Offer to keep at it if you have the willpower.

Tarot Readings: Questions re Vehicles (Chariot and Seven of Pentacles)

He considers an offer of a truck-driving job.

Will (he) help me with transportation to work?

I think, with help, I can do the work on the vehicle.

He always drives, but maybe you can ask.

This driver keeps asking for help.

Ask for an offer on the work truck.

Ask a professional operator of heavy equipment for his help.

I think that’s your friend in his work truck.

You may offer/be offered a ride to work.

You are asked, and you accept, to be the driver at work.

Ask the car mechanic for help.

Seven of Pentacles

Eight of Pentacles – Knight of Cups – Chariot

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

Eight of Pentacles and Chariot Eight of Pentacles         is work, worker(s), employee(s), doing the same thing over and over again; Chariot is success and getting ahead, and projects. These two together mean accomplishing something by your own actions. They each refer to doing something and to getting something done. Chariot is more accomplishing one thing, and Eight of Pentacles is to do the same thing over and over accomplishing something. Both these cards are often associated with work, but of course not always.

Knight of Cups and Seven of Pentacles         Knight of Cups is a friend, boyfriend, helper. He is friendly, he offers, he accepts, he is gracious and polite, affectionate and easygoing. Seven of Pentacles is one of those pesky cards that puts the information in question form and means ‘to doubt,’ to wonder or ponder, to be uncertain. Put them together, and boyfriend wonders, or someone wonders about boyfriend.

All the cards today are males.

This spread immediately made me think of the book Winning Friends and Influencing People, a success-oriented book.

Eight of Pentacles     There he is at his work bench making one identical item after another.  This Rider Waite Tarot card in the Tarot Verbatim ™ system often means anything to do with work: working-class, work place, worker(s), working, employee(s).  Today we feature steadily, consistently, all the time, and always and regularly doing the same thing over and over. Persistence, and habitual routine activity: That is the groove for Eight of Pentacles.

Knight of Cups     The cooperative, helpful fellow who takes the initiative to be friendly or affectionate – because he is the Boyfriend card too.  He is the helper or assistant in work stories.  He offers, and he accepts offers.  The mellow fellow is pictured in curving outlines and pastel colors.  His horse is borrowed from a merry-go-round.  He wears Mercury’s wings on his helmet so he is the one who communicates.

Chariot      We feature the part of his meanings about ‘getting it done’ today rather than his power and responsibility meanings. Today we use ‘choose’ and ‘deliberate’ a lot, and even ‘willpower.’  He is a driver or a vehicle or transportation as well today.  Often Chariot is about strategy and the accomplishment of a major task.  The illustration shows a charioteer, a master strategist who accomplishes the project no matter what.

Seven of Pentacles      ‘Ask’ is Seven of Pentacles’ favorite word today.  Oh duh.  Hmmm, I wonder.  Do you suppose these cucumbers will bear?  I have done all the work of planting, watering, weeding and fertilizing and I just have to wait.  I have my doubts but there is nothing more to I can do.  So I just ask this rhetorical question ….

A friend finally gives the businesswoman a chance. Finally, he gets a chance to be the businesswoman’s boyfriend. Businesswoman finally gives her friend an opportunity. She is very competent and has been there a long time as manager: Give her that opportunity. Help was slow to come, so it is she who marvelously made the security of the place. Knight of Cups Ten of Wands – Chariot – Nine of Pentacles

      LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

This is the story of two single people. She is a private, cool woman whose center of life is her home or business, and she is content – has all she wants in life. He is a friendly and likeable fellow who communicates easily and well, is warmhearted and helpful. His Tarot card, Knight of Cups, also means boyfriend or assistant; whereas hers also means businesswoman, competent woman, and woman of independent means.

Knight of Cups also means an offer and Wheel of Fortune is an opportunity or chance. So ‘offer her a chance’ is one of our common phrases today.

Knight of Cups is the warm puppy, the boyfriend or suitor, and Nine of Pentacles is the cool woman who doesn’t need anybody, the kind who would test his skill at wooing.

Ten of Wands’ three branches of meaning here today are along the lines of ‘extreme,’ along the lines of ‘a long time’ and along the lines of feeling down or depressed. Phrases like these, in order of appearance, belong to Ten of Wands:

always be

difficult burden

a long time

hesitates too long

forever

how long it taes

a long time

eventually

long-term

waiting

for so long

finally

the biggest

something long-lasting

old

all kinds of

a lot of

very difficult thing

sad about it

is always

depressing

when you are down

took on the whole thing

long-awaited

is always

heartbroken

a standing

finally

a long time

slow to come

for so long

a long time and a lot of

extremely

a long time coming

big (things)

So a wonderful thing, a big opportunity or offer, is coming (in its own time) to him, her or them. The wonderful chance is in love and/or business.

      LEARN TAROT BY PICTURES

Ten of Wands is a lot of (anything). A lot of effort, a lot of time, a lot of sadness, taking on the whole burden in one load, eventually ‘making it’ after the slow progress. Ten of Wands is about the strain of making it, more than the making it.
Wheel of Fortune is about the Laws of Random Distribution: chances, opportunity, destiny, fate, karma, gambling, the odds. This Rider Waite Tarot card means ‘It happens,’ with the ‘it’ being (usually) a good thing.
Knight of Cups is everybody’s darling. A born salesman. The likeable outgoing fellow who can talk to anyone. The warm puppy of a lover. He wears Mercury’s wings on his helmet to indicate communication. He has his cup of friendship right there with him when he meets you.        Nine of Pentacles has it made, is self-sufficient, is confident, does not need anyone – is doing just fine just like I am. No bleeding heart here. She is a single woman who owns her own (whatever). She ‘don’t need nobody to tell her troubles to.’ She is competent, often a businesswoman, often lives alone. Don’t ask her for a loan.

I N S T R U C T I O N S & Explanations (Comments are below this.)   Did you come here just for your predictions? – If so, you are done when you finish reading the sentences of Group Analytical Tarot Cards Reading. Each Tarot sentence is a literal-interpretation reading of the scenes pictured on the four cards you see. Only what each of the cards says – phrase by phrase – no fillers – no psychic ability used. The readings are about you and the people around you.  They are about today and the days around it. Tarot, all by itself, talks to you. This is a demonstration of that . Tarot will address any group flexibly, as it does here of ‘all the visitors.’ (It can address ‘all the people at work who have a say in my raise,’ for instance, without you knowing who or where those people are.) Horoscopes are group readings too. Astrology has to be based on someone else’s birth data, though, so it does not solidly apply to you just because of where the sun was when you were born. (Astrologers know this.) Emily wants to know whether these sentences are more accurate for regular visitors than for people who have come only a few times. Would you help with a comment, if that is who you are? Please? Without a question to focus the answer, four cards can mean contradictory things,  especially when the Spread has a card that means ‘no, never or not.’ That negative modifier can apply to any one of the cards. Without a question also the pronouns (you, him, her, me, us, them, they, etc.) in a group reading are more flexible,  especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads.  When a pronoun is in parentheses, feel very free to substitute.  Notice how, as much as possible, we drop pronouns, which makes for some awkward phrasing. The question in a ‘real’ individual reading supplies at least half the information! In a ‘real’ reading, the parties are identified (including the gender of the questioner!), and so is the time frame if there is one. In this group reading, we cannot do that, so we have variety.   Do you want to know a little, or a lot, about how this Tarot Verbatim ™ thing works? If so, *Go to Learn Tarot by Observing. This tells the thinking regarding the combined four pictures in the Daily Spread –  the pictures above here.  It explains how these four cards get together in your mind to make the message. *Go to Learn Tarot by the Pictures.  This is the meaning of each separate card.  This is how that illustration makes that card’s meanings in this Spread. You can put all this together and intuitively see yourself how Tarot Verbatim ™ works. Regular visitors actually learn to read Tarot without trying. Rider-Waite Tarot 1-28-11

He drives over there in a hurry to express his affection

Knight of Swords
Chariot, Knight of Cups, Eight of Wands

He changes his intention and agrees to everything on the list..
He changes his intention and offers a list of suggestions.
He drives back there in a hurry with many suggestions.
All of a sudden he decides to be more and more affectionate.
A suggestion to turn the vehicle around quickly.
Changes back and forth a number of times and decides to accept.
He makes many offers on the vehicle and takes them back.
He talks sweet and drives fast.
A lot of sweet talk but when it comes to doing it, he is running away.
A number of things can be done – that he initiates – to reverse this immediately.
A number of suggestions offered to turn this bus around quickly.
If he accepts more and more responsibility, it happens so fast.
He aims to get out quickly and be your boyfriend quickly.
Quickly decides to get out, politely.
Polite words change the situation: He succeeds.
Quickly decides to agree to leave immediately.

Illustrations and Meanings:

Chariot: He masters his situation, he gets ahead, by skill, will power and decisive action, like a skilled race car driver who knows when a pit stop gets you ahead by saving you time in the long run. The illustration here shows a chariot driver whose steeds each want to go different directions and not forward. It is his accomplishment to get that vehicle forward under those circumstances. The phrases this card produces in our spread today are:

his intention; drives; the vehicle; vehicle; drives; when it comes to doing it, things can be done by him; this bus; responsibility, it happens; aims; decides; He succeeds; Decides.

Knight of Cups: He is polite, diplomatic, friendly, warmhearted and sweet natured. He suggests, accepts and cuddles. He extends his hand as he is shown doing in the illustration. He offers and accepts offers. The phrases for him today are:

agrees; offers; suggestions; affectionate; suggestion; accept offers; sweet; things that he initiates; suggestions offered; accepts; boyfriend; politely; polite; agree.

Eight of Wands: Sticks flying in the wind one after another suggest words, messages, sequential events or items. Lines on a document, written material, letters. The phrases for this card are:

everything on the list; a list; quickly; many; more and more; a number of times; talks; talk; A number of things; A number of; words; Quickly.

Knight of Swords: He is turning around in a hurry. There is often some emergency. He is running there, running back, and running back and forth. (His direction will be suggested by surrounding Tarot cards.) A reversal which can be in the nick of time. A narrow escape. Fleeing. This card does not usually mean pursuit, although you would think that, from the illustration; the Knight of Wands does. Today’s phrases for this Rider Waite Tarot card are:

changes his; back there in a hurry; all of a sudden; turn the vehicle around quickly; Changes back and forth; takes them back; drives fast; he is running away; to reverse this immediately; turn this bus around quickly; it happens so fast; get out quickly; Quickly … to get out; change the situation; leave immediately.

Today’s Rider Waite message has two Tarot cards which mean ‘quickly,’ the Eight of Wands and the Knight of Swords. Both the Chariot and the Knight of Cups have initiative in common. Tarot cards equal one another piecemeal like this. An experienced Tarotist will sense these commonalities before consciously realizing them.

Hope you are enjoying this experiment. I am, even though it is a lot of work. I love it.
