GUIDANCE In love, as in life, if you can just not react, just be quiet – even be mysterious and unavailable – people come to you, and situations turn around all by themselves. In love, a woman lets him come to her; and in love if she is just standing by, he has the nerve to take initiative. In life, often, being receptive to an offer but not making one will cause the offer to come to you all gift-wrapped.

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING
LEARN TAROT BY PICTURES..
….. …….…… ….. ………, Knight of Cups is a nice boy and High Priestess is a nice girl and Two of Pentacles is what’s going on. Stories, we got ’em today.
The star card today is Knight of Cups, the boyfriend, the nice polite agreeable romantic fellow who puts his hand out in love or friendship.
Two of Pentacles is a light card that can mean, say, entertainment or silliness. Two of Pentacles is a cycle or phase – either phasing in or phasing out, but more the in-out cycle.
And High Priestess is the lady, the quiet observer, is being spiritual and is the spiritual zone or plane itself, not to mention knowing all: wisdom.
Knight of Cups is the good-natured man who is friendly, takes initiative, has a message or suggestion, and accepts you. (Salesman talents.) High Priestess is the old-fashioned lady who is wise enough to be receptive but never take initiative, to make people or boyfriend come to her with their offer that they already approve of – an excellent strategy most of the time.
.
.
.
GET A SINGLE CARD’S MEANINGS: TYPE ITS NAME AND ‘TAROT VERBATIM’ INTO GOOGLE.
Knight of Cups Knight of Cups is the boyfriend, the nice polite agreeable romantic fellow, the good guy. He puts his hand out first whether in business, friendship, or love. He is socially fearless, unafraid to make peace or to be the warm-fuzzy one. Knight of Cups is the friend who makes an offer, who accepts an offer, who accepts or gives a suggestion, and puts you at ease. Knight of Cups does a favor and is helpful. Everybody loves him and he loves everybody.
Knight of Cups is most of all that sweet guy, that warm puppy, who is in love or who is the boyfriend. He is also the best friend or best buddy. He is in love, he can be love life itself, and he is romantic.
Contrast the illustration of Knight of Cups with other knights in the Rider Waite deck. His horse is relaxed – that raised foot, neck curved, head down, and stationary. The knight is relaxed, calm, has the wings of Mercury the communicator or his helmet. There’s no breeze, even, as you see in other knights. The picture is drawn in pastel, with curved lines – also relaxed.
High Priestess She is one of those quiet women. Her position as the 2, esoterically, means she is passive and receptive – passive on earth plane and active on mental and spiritual planes. So High Priestess is about knowing rather than acting. Her main meaning is ‘to know.’ High Priestess emphasizes feminine traits, since she stands for the feminine principle. She knows all and stays quietly in the background. She is the quiet woman … maybe mysterious woman. She is the expert – the expert in metaphysical realities too. She is psychic. She is … or knows … secrets. She also stays, is stationary.
So in our practical everyday spreads, High Priestess is the lady, is staying in her home base, is sedentary, and is being alone. She knows. She knows and doesn’t talk about it. She doesn’t take initiative; you go to her. She is the single woman, and she can be the other woman too.
High Priestess is one of the spiritual theme cards because she stands for the mental and spiritual planes, is a spiritual adept (expert). She is surrounded in this illustration with symbols from Kabbalah. She is the brains, the idea person, of an organization. She is associated with learning and books, so she can be a bookkeeper, or even a data bank. She can even represent the Tarot deck itself, since the book in her lap is Taro.
Two of Pentacles The juggler’s plates go up and down and around and around, attached by a belt that reminds you of under the hood of an automobile, but the belt is twisted into the loop that is a symbol of eternity (and of infinitely repeated numbers that some fractions make when you put them in decimal form). The juggler has the grace to dance as he juggles, so he represents steadiness and stability and an unbroken continuing cycle or process.
Behind him, though, are ships wildly tossed on crazy tsunami waves, and they represent unsteadiness and instability. This, and the goofy garish costume of the juggler, is how Two of Pentacles joins the ‘goofball’ and ‘silly’ theme. Two of Pentacles is clowning around sometimes, and can represent an unstable person. Note that this same Tarot card means unsteady and steady, stable and unstable, represents both continuing and sporadic (on-again off-again) processes.
In real-life Tarot work, Two of Pentacles is a cycle or phase – either phasing in or phasing out, but more the in-out cycle. It means one time after another, going through, rocking the boat, upheaval or ups and downs.
Two of Pentacles’ most common meanings are (1) continuing, keeping up something, ongoing, frequently. This branch of Two of Pentacles’ meaning tree includes these words and phrases too: recurring, every time, over and over, routine, in the process of, repeatedly or repeats. (2) Such ‘conditional’ words and phrases as: sometimes, iffy, if, maybe, somehow or another, either/or, probably, whether or not, alternate, whenever. (3) Next is unstable and silly. (4) Then come all the movements this Tarot card means in Rider Waite and Tarot Verbatim™, and there are many of those, but we aren’t using any of the movements today, so enough of that for now.
Let’s separately address the fact that Two of Pentacles can mean ‘return’ and ‘return to.’ That’s part of a cycle, of course. It puts Two of Pentacles part time into the company of such cards as Judgment and Knight of Swords, who are full time into the ‘return’ theme. In the same vein, Two of Pentacles can be ‘getting it back’ as in karma.
Lastly, it’s a pain, but Two of Pentacles can mean ‘all the time, continually’ and it can mean ‘off and on, sporadically.’ The ‘continually’ portion is of course from the continual smooth movement of the items being juggled. The ‘off and on’ portion grows out of the back-and-forth motion which suggests ‘this way and that.’
So obviously, Two of Pentacles is seldom an anchor card. It’s got too much going for it, which kind of reflects its meaning; doesn’t it?
Incidentally, May 30th, 2015 has a very comprehensive Two of Pentacles presentation, if you can stand even more of this subject.
.
.
You can let things and people come to you, or you can take initiative and pursue. Making this choice a conscious and considered one, we are saying today, is a good idea. We suggest this mostly by pointing out the advantages of being quiet and letting the other person do the talking.

Guidance Here we are doing what is right and proper, acting politely most of the time, and we fear upheaval. It’s risky to be the fellow who offers to make things right. It’s proper for a boyfriend to make that first affectionate move, but it is still scary. Maybe I’m being good because I am afraid of karma, of my chickens coming home to roost. I think I will just accept, right now, that bad things can happen to good people but are somewhat less likely to, and save myself the angst.

Now, Part Two,
Do you want to know a little, or a lot, about how this Tarot Verbatim™ thing works? If so,
*Go to Learn Tarot by Observing section below. This tells about the combined four pictures in the Tarot Readings – the pictures above here. It explains how these four cards get together in your mind to make the messages.
*Go to Learn Tarot by Pictures. It is what each of the four cards, by itself, has to say. It shows you how that illustration makes that card’s meanings in today’s Spread. All the words of each Tarot card reading you see here are a phrase-by-phrase translation of the scene pictured on those cards: no filler, no psychic impressions, no spirit guide. Word-for-word Tarot Verbatim™.
You can put all this together and intuitively see yourself how Tarot Verbatim™ works.
This is a group reading, with no Questioner and no Question to limit what the cards say, so there’s more variety – even contradictions – and also the pronouns are more flexible. If it feels like it’s yours, and it says ‘he,’ and you’re a ‘she,’ feel free to adopt it anyway.
Two of Pentacles
Justice – Knight of Cups – Nine of Swords
LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING
.
Two of our Tarot panelists are normal and proper ( Justice and Knight of Cups) and two are worried and upset ( Nine of Swords and Two of Pentacles). Both Justice and Two of Pentacles involve balance, but in very different ways, so it doesn’t count. At a glace, this spread suggests either worry about nothing, or making something right that upsets someone.
Justice and Knight of Cups are normal and proper. Justice means ‘right,’ of course; Knight of Cups is the friendly person who makes the first move, introduces himself (and others), cooperates and helps, is a friend and a good guy. Together, Justice and Knight of Cups say: a nice person or man who does right, an offer or stipulation in court, offers to make it right.
Nine of Swords and Two of Pentacles Nine of Swords is worried; Two of Pentacles is upset. So they both have that meaning. Nine of Swords is fear; Two of Pentacles is upheaval(s). Put them together, and they make phrases like: keep worrying about, worried and upset, afraid of being silly (Two of Pentacles, obviously from the picture, also means silly.)
These two cards in Tarot Verbatim™ get together easily about anything worrisome that recurs, anything you worry about over and over. You can see this easily: Nine of Swords is up in bed, head in hands, had a nightmare. Nine of Swords is that cold fear of an attack of nerves or panic; it is the jitters; it is a scary situation, or whatever you are nervous about or in fear of.
Two of Pentacles refers to a cycle, and to timing, so it gives rise to: recurring or ‘one after another,’ often, on-again off-again, repeated, every time, sometimes, keeps doing or being, routine, process, return, getting what’s coming to (any pronoun).
A strange thing about Two of Pentacles: Since it means it could go either way, and since it means ‘continual,’ it ends up meaning both ‘always’ and ‘not always.’ In Tarot Verbatim™ we observe meanings; we do not make them up. And that’s the way it is.
Justice and Two of Pentacles both involve balance. Justice ‘s balance is about the scales of justice, balancing for fairness, and being impartial. Two of Pentacles is about keeping your balance and balancing your situation, which is what the juggler in the picture does. These two Rider Waite cards together, in Tarot Verbatim™ are about legal proceedings, keeping a tipsy situation going as it should, things can go either way in court, and even one legal thing after another.
Justice and Knight of Cups is a committed boyfriend, and is the proper polite young man. Justice means should, proper, court, what one deserves, and ‘legal,’ which suggests ‘making it legal’ in romance subjects. Knight of Cups is making the first move, being affectionate, cooperating, being a good guy.

Justice Scales of justice in one hand, sword of execution in the other. This is one of the obvious cards in Rider Waite. Besides meaning anything referring to the justice industry or regulation industry, Justice often calls up words like should or ought, right, proper, what (you) deserve.
Knight of Cups Sweet-natured good guy, nice young man. Accepting, suggesting, making the first move, being the one who makes peace, and most of all that sweet guy who is in love or who is the boyfriend. Illustration on this knight is very different from all the others. This one is not asserting and not in any hurry or under any pressure; he is calm, is offering a cup in friendship. This one’s horse is a horsey.
Nine of Swords Up nights crying, can’t sleep or insomnia, nightmare(s), fear and worry, grief, all upset sweating it out, having the jitters, a panic attack, gets on your nerves, scary, it gets to (me). This is another easy-to-read Rider Waite Tarot card: You see someone sitting bolt upright in bed, head in his or her hands.
Two of Pentacles His costume is silly as he juggles plates or balls that are connected with the sign in math that means ‘continuing’ or ‘repeating.’ Ships toss crazily in the background. Two of Pentacles’ most common meanings are continuing, keeping up something, ongoing. Next is unstable and silly. Then the movements. Notice all the movements: wobbling (his legs), up and down, back and forth, round and round – and the movements are in rhythm (another meaning).
Two of Pentacles also is a cycle, and the following words belong to it: sometimes, recurring, keeps (doing, being, etc.), every time, over and over, often, on-again off-again, repeatedly or repeats. Routine, process, return, and ‘getting it back,’ as in karma also belong to Two of Pentacles.

Tarot Verbatim
Guidance Here we are doing what is right and proper, acting politely most of the time, and we fear upheaval. It’s risky to be the fellow who offers to make things right. It’s proper for a boyfriend to make that first affectionate move, but it is still scary. Maybe I’m being good because I am afraid of karma, of my chickens coming home to roost. I think I will just accept, right now, that bad things can happen to good people but are somewhat less likely to, and save myself the grief.
Are YOU here for the first time? Come in!
People love this place! Our site is divided into four sections: Guidance, Tarot Readings, Learn Tarot by Observation, and Learn Tarot by Pictures.
If you just want your daily look ahead, Guidance and Tarot Readings are all you need. ‘Guidance’ (above) is a summary of what the cards are telling visitors to be aware of this day.
‘Group Tarot Cards Reading’ (just below this) is the actual word-for-word messages from the pictures of the four cards you see – to everyone. These readings are about you and the people around you. They are about today and the days around it. So, go ahead and pick the sentences you feel are yours and decide whether to encourage or reject them for yourself.
Did you come here for your predictions? – You are done now – See you tomorrow. The family of commenters here would love for you to join in (the very last thing, at the bottom).

NOW HERE ARE ALL SIX COMBINATIONS OF OUR TAROT CARDS WITH THEIR COMMON PHRASES:
Justice and Knight of Cups Nice person or man who does right, an offer or stipulation in court, offers to make it right. A committed boyfriend, the proper polite young man.
Justice and Nine of Swords Afraid I will get what I deserve, scared straight, worry about court proceedings, nervous about doing the right thing, a straight person’s nightmares, fear for (my/his) sanity.
Justice and Two of Pentacles Keep doing right, one lawsuit after another, legal proceedings, straightening out an unstable situation.
Worries about being a good person. A nice but nervous young man. Helping someone with their grief or with what they fear. Being a good person out of fear.
Knight of Cups and Two of Pentacles A nice guy but not always. A nice but crazy guy. Keeps being friendly. Makes one offer after another.
Nine of Swords and Two of Pentacles Keep worrying about, worried and upset, afraid of being silly.
LEARN TAROT BY PICTURES

He instinctively knows how to connect lovingly: That is the direction he is heading.
As he is in the process of leaving, it hits him that he is being affectionate.

When the intense phase is over, I get around to being the nice relaxed boyfriend.
Love at first sight for him, and he was on his way, leaving all else behind.
Alternates between the idea of getting over it and expressing affection.
My idea of being a boyfriend is: leaving and returning over and over.
He keeps coming back to what he left behind, and that is his concept or idea of being a boyfriend.
Dawns on him that it is not one-thing-after-another in his love life anymore.
He realizes he is really in love as he keeps coming back to what he left behind.
Feels he is a friend but it may be headed in another direction.
He wants her to know he loves her either way – whatever happens – as he withdraws.
Don’t know where I’m headed but I send you my love.
Sending her the message, the thought that he loves her, as he goes back over the water.
Now that I’m on my way out of the situation, I feel relaxed and ready for romance.
Realize she might be avoiding you because she has a boyfriend.
Mentally departing from the whole idea of being the devoted loving guy.
Putting the past behind and getting into thinking like a guy in love.
It strikes him that the times he is affectionate have been when she is leaving.

Tarot Readings: The Idea of Leaving, or Being Away (Hanged Man + Six of Swords)
Something-or-another gives me the idea to get out of here.
I am going around in circles to get out of this when a helpful inspiration occurs to me.
As he is in the process of leaving, we realize he was just being polite.
I see him putting distance between us but continuing to help.

Friends get the idea to leave here, one after the other.
I get the idea we may be able to leave this place with the help of a friend.

Six of Swords
Two of Pentacles – Knight of Cups – Hanged Man
LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING
Two of Pentacles is a cycle or phase – either phasing in or phasing out, but more the in-out cycle. Six of Swords is phasing out and leaving. It usually means things are not as bad as they were, that times are better; and Two of Pentacles is a light card that can mean, say, entertainment or silliness.
The star card today is Knight of Cups, the boyfriend, the nice polite agreeable romantic fellow who puts his hand out in love or friendship.
Hanged Man is intense feeling, realization, seeing and knowing, getting the idea … illuminating.
Our story is phasing in or phasing out of love. It is also about accepting ups and downs which avoids upheaval.

Two of Pentacles Two of Pentacles is a cycle or phase – either phasing in or phasing out, but more the in-out cycle. It means one time after another, going through, foolishness, rocking the boat, upheaval or ups and downs. The juggler’s plates go up and down with the waves that toss the boats behind him, and he is dressed in a dunce cap. |
|
Knight of Cups is the boyfriend, the nice polite agreeable romantic fellow who puts his hand out in love or friendship. He is the friend who accepts an offer, gives a suggestion, and puts you at ease. He communicates – wings of Mercury are there on his helmet. |
|
Hanged Man Several Gods got illumination hanging on a tree, including Odin of Norse lore. Hanged Man illustrates that upside-down feeling you get (hair on fire) when an idea upends your reality temporarily as you ‘get it.’ The rush of inspiration as the muse brushes your subconscious into your mundane mindset. |
|
Six of Swords Heading on out to better times ahead, leaving the scene. Avoiding the worst. Going in a direction; having departed; putting distance between; being away. A woman and child’s bent figures huddle in a small boat as a friend paddles them away. ‘Only the clothes on their back.’ |

I N S T R U C T I O N S & Explanations (Comments are below this.)
Did you come here just for your predictions? – If so, you are done when you finish reading the sentences of Group Analytical Tarot Cards Reading.
Each Tarot sentence is a literal-interpretation reading of the scenes pictured on the four cards you see. Only what each of the cards says – phrase by phrase – no fillers – no psychic ability used. The readings are about you and the people around you. They are about today and the days around it. Tarot, all by itself, talks to you. This is a demonstration of that .
Tarot will address any group flexibly, as it does here of ‘all the visitors.’ (It can address ‘all the people at work who have a say in my raise,’ for instance, without you knowing who or where those people are.)
Horoscopes are group readings too.
Astrology has to be based on someone else’s birth data, though, so it does not solidly apply to you just because of where the sun was when you were born. (Astrologers know this.)
Emily wants to know whether these sentences are more accurate for regular visitors than for people who have come only a few times. Would you help with a comment, if that is who you are? Please?
Without a question to focus the answer, four cards can mean contradictory things, especially when the Spread has a card that means ‘no, never or not.’ That negative modifier can apply to any one of the cards.
Without a question also the pronouns (you, him, her, me, us, them, they, etc.) in a group reading are more flexible, especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads. When a pronoun is in parentheses, feel very free to substitute. Notice how, as much as possible, we drop pronouns, which makes for some awkward phrasing.
The question in a ‘real’ individual reading supplies at least half the information! In a ‘real’ reading, the parties are identified (including the gender of the questioner!), and so is the time frame if there is one. In this group reading, we cannot do that, so we have variety.

Advice Doing what is proper and acting politely is juxtaposed here with fear of upheavals. Being the one who offers to make things right can be risky. Being an affectionate boyfriend who makes the first move can be scary, even if it’s right. Is his/her goodness motivated by a fear of karma, chickens coming home to roost? If you simply accept that bad things can happen to good people but are somewhat less likely to, you save yourself the fear. (At the time of production, there’s no way to correct the lack of spaces after punctuation. I am writing around it now!)
Is this the first time you come here? Well … what to do:
*Go to Advice above which is a summary of the Messages. (Advice is everyone’s favorite part.)
*Go to Group Analytical Tarot Reading below. One or more of those sentences has something to say to you. Intuitively pick those out. They are about you and the people around you. They are about today and the days around it. (It is a group message like a horoscope, except Tarot isn’t based on someone else’s birth data, so it can be specific, accurate, detailed and direct. Our experiment here is “How much more accurate is it?”)

Two of Pentacles Justice – Knight of Cups – Nine of Swords MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS: OBSERVATION OF THE SPREAD None of the cards mean a similar thing. The story is laid out though. Justice + Knight of Cups is a committed boyfriend, and is the proper polite young man. Justice means should, proper, court, what one deserves and, if the theme is established by a ‘lead’ card, commitment to marry. Knight of Cups is making the first move, being affectionate, cooperating, being a ‘good guy.’ Nine of Swords is worry, nightmare, fear, nervous, scary, jitters, deep concern, an attack of nerves, panic, it gets to (any pronoun), up nights and insomnia. Two of Pentacles refers to a cycle and gives rise to recurring, often, on-again off-again, repeated, every time, sometimes, keeps doing or being (anything), routine, process, return, often, episodes, getting what’s coming to (anyone). These two Rider Waite Tarot cards get together easily to refer to anything worrisome that is repeating. MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS: INDIVIDUAL RIDER WAITE TAROT CARDS Justice means should, proper, court, what one deserves and, if the theme is established by a ‘lead’ card, commitment to marry. It is one of the cards whose meaning is easy. It refers to law enforcement and courts obviously, what with the scales of justice in one hand and the upraised sword in the other. Knight of Cups Sweet-natured good citizen, the good guy, the nice young man, accepting, suggesting, making the first move, the one who makes peace, and most of all that sweet guy who is in love or who is the boyfriend. Illustration on this knight is very different from all the others. This one is not asserting and not in any hurry or under any pressure; he is calm, is offering a cup in friendship. This one’s horse is a horsey. Nine of Swords Yeah, there we go again, all upset. Up nights sweating it out – worry, nightmare, fear, nervous, scary, jitters, deep concern, an attack of nerves, panic, it gets to (any pronoun), up nights and insomnia. Two of Pentacles goes on and on in a cycle and gives rise to recurring, often, on-again off-again, repeated, every time, sometimes, keeps doing or being (anything), routine, process, return, often, episodes, getting what’s coming to (anyone). The illustration shows the dancing juggler with the eternity sign around his pentacle plates like a belt on a vehicle, ships tossed up and down on tsunami waves, and his costume is silly. Making one moment of joy after another by giving. Keep up the happy feeling by doing things with friends. Receiving and giving one gift of happiness after another is what we do. What to do is get out of the house with one friend after another. One thing after another that I do for friends makes me so happy. Making friends happy as they return the favor. The happiness you make for and give to others comes back to you. One happy thing after another to do with a friend. Keep doing acts of kindness to make a happy time.
