Guidance

Act now. Seize the day. Either go for it – one big burst of energy – or quit. You come to a fork in the road while you are speeding along. You hurry up and ace this challenge to pursue another one. You drop everything for a battle that gets your blood moving. You go out of your way to pursue something important to you. On the other hand, here’s something else that, if you have to hurry, you don’t do it. You swear you’re going to quit being the one doing the chasing. Or you get over with it and get past it. There’s a time to leave one town, and there’s a time to get over to another one on the spur of the moment. You’re on your way, however you slice it.

GUIDANCE Did you come here for Your Daily Predictions? Good! Guidance provides your predictions in a summary. It is the Guidance received for you through three Rider Waite Tarot™ cards, using Tarot Verbatim™.

GROUP TAROT READINGS Here are several one-sentence readings that are predictions for you and the people around you for today and the days around it. Here Tarot is talking to you: These sentences express word-for-word, verbatim, the meanings of those three Tarot cards. You choose which sentences apply to you, and you choose whether to encourage them or not.

SYNOPSIS Located right after the Group Tarot Cards Reading sentences, is a deeper expression of today’s Guidance. Read this too for your predictions. Here you complete your predictions experience. The rest of the page is more about learning to love and learn Tarot Verbatim™.

LEARN TAROT CARDS BY PICTURES Are you ready to begin learning Tarot Verbatim™? Here your in-depth meanings come alive for each of the three cards! In Tarot Verbatim™, pictures make the meaning, so each card is like a person you know and remember.

WITHOUT THE PICTURES For the true seeker of Tarot knowledge, here is what you need to know about how the three cards in today’s spread affect one another, and how to apply Tarot Verbatim™. Here too the cards come alive, together.

WHERE EACH PHRASE COMES FROM At a glance, with a color for each card, your subconscious picks up on how the sentences of GROUP TAROT CARDS READING came to be. You feel how individual card meanings reach out and blend, unite, into a sentence. (You can learn this – yes, you!) Your subconscious awareness sees the image and its feeling and your conscious awareness sees the language meaning, the text… so your two minds focus together to see 3D, three dimensionally, the same way your two eyes see depth that one eye does not.

PHRASES FOR ALL THREE TWO CARD COMBINATIONS Are you ready for the final step of this revolutionary Tarot Verbatim™ technique? Now to make it exceedingly plain and simple, we list the expressions each pair of cards makes. We list them in paragraph form rather than itemized so that they flow, and your subconscious clicks into place and ‘gets it.’ You may even find flashes of dreams or intuitive realities as you read these, at times.

The Rider Waite Tarot™ deck is a data bank in mass consciousness that your subconscious can communicate with. Tarot Verbatim™ is the Rosetta Stone that makes that communication easy because it is a bridge between conscious and subconscious thought. When both your levels of awareness focus together, you think intuitively in real time in ‘the real world.’

Bon voyage!

Knight of Wands

You see him not in control of his horse as he races from one place to another, a discombobulated – even panicky – look on his face. His weapon isn’t raised, as Knight of Swords’ is, so, really, he should be more likely running away than pursuing. (These two Rider Waite Tarot cards (Knight of Wands and Knight of Swords) share that leaving-or-pursuing-in-a-hurry story.) Knight of Wands comes up for over-the-road trucking, for a job transfer, and for driving by a place to surveil it. Knight of Wands can be Don Quixote, of whom it was quoted somewhere that he ‘ran off in all directions.’

Knight of Wands every once in a while is about energetic effort. Today he is ‘the rat race,’ ‘giving it all you got,’ and ‘gets your blood moving,’ for instance.

Eight of Cups

Eight of Cups

The story here is that a pilgrim (one who is determined to arrive at a destination) takes a detour and aborts his course because a mountain is in the way – but of course this is, in the story, a temporary derailment. Eight of Cups joins Hermit in being a card that shows a pedestrian and has meanings about being on the road.

Eight of Cups has a lot of meanings about dropping out, quitting, being A.W.O.L., abandoning, being short-lived, changing, ‘not anymore.’ It some, too about ‘haven’t yet.’ Words like ‘bypass’ and ‘shortcut,’ and even phrases like ‘fall off the wagon’ and ‘it’s over before it begins’ belong to Eight of Cups.

Ace of Swords

Ace of Swords

A double-edged sword held upright, crowned, and the crown crowned with laurel leaves has to mean victory, total victory. That means total defeat for whoever the opponent was. So Ace of Swords is black-or-white; it means ‘for sure’ and is ‘all one way.’ Ace of Swords is an order (imperative), is ‘you have to,’ is by force. Ace of Swords is overcoming and overruling. Ace of Swords is also important – primacy or primary. Ace of Swords is a challenge, too. And a weapon, of course – any weapon.

Now Without The Pictures

Have to, Ace of Swords; and Knight of Wands is getting out in a hurry; and Eight of Cups is also aborting course, dropping out, leaving unexpectedly without notice. All three of our cards are in the throes of movement and change. There’s urgency here; there’s speed here; and with Ace of Swords there’s victory here too. Strike while the iron is hot, as they say.

Knight of Wands and Eight of Cups are on the road. Knight of Wands is speeding – either fleeing or pursuing (as usual). Eight of Cups on its road has an abrupt change of course that is involuntary – often a turn off, or running off the road. (This is a caution to drive safely, okay?) Both Knight of Wands and Eight of Cups are leaving or getting out of something, too, and Ace of Wands says ‘have to.’

Knight of Swords is to Knight of Wands as Ace of Swords is to Ace of Wands: These pairs have very similar meanings and very similar applications. Both Knight of Swords and Knight of Wands mean ‘to pursue’ as well as ‘to flee.’ And both Ace of Swords and Ace of Wands mean force (have to, gotta) and primacy (number one, most important); and both of them are weapons as well.

We have stories, lots of stories, and we have lots of energy to them too.

Six of Cups

Justice – Knight of Wands – Eight of Cups

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

Knight of Wands and Eight of Cups       Both Knight of Wands and Eight of Cups are leaving, are avoiding, are escaping, are getting out of something. Knight of Wands is pursuing too. Knight of Wands is high speed, rush, a lot of energy, whereas Eight of Cups is taking a detour or shortcut, running off the road, quitting before it’s over. It has an ‘end of one thing, beginning of another’ spectrum to it, and it means to abandon course or to disappear or give up. These two appearing together immediately tell you a big change, a shift, is here.

Eight of Cups and Six of Cups       are both about a thing of the past. Eight of Cups is going in a new direction, abandoning the past course. Six of Cups is the good old days, the past in a nostalgic way.

Justice      talks about justice matters, police and courts, of course. That is what it is about today. It often (not today) means ‘should.’ ‘Normal’ and balance also belong to Rider Waite Justice.

Six of Cups      is sweet life, good old days, children or child, romance, giving a gift or favor. Today it is an old neighborhood, and the ‘juvenile’ of (dreaded) juvenile court.

Today we talk of times past as the glory days, and we talk of getting out of some fix by some glitch. Children and courts are front and center, which is fairly rare.

Justice      Well, his meaning is obvious, huh? The sword displayed in one hand and the scales of justice in the other, he sits very upright and keeps a very straight face like judges must. Anything legal, should, balance, normal – those are its main contributions to sentences.

Knight of Wands      Energetically flees or pursues and is in a rush. High-speed chase or departure. He carries a club but is wearing armor, and his horse seems clumsy but is flying.

Eight of Cups      Fork in the road, detour, run off the road, unexpected departure, premature or aborted, abandon, vanish, quit without notice. A person cannot continue on his journey because of the terrain. There’s a suggestion he will be back on course when the obstacle is passed.

Six of Cups      The good old days, the way things used to be. Old friends, old lovers, old memories. Sweetness, love gifts, lovingkindness. Children and romance. Depicted by a little boy giving a little girl flowers in front of a large old-fashioned building. They are dressed old style.

Tarot Readings for You for October 14, 2013 Monday(c)

Guidance    Change: It happens to me whether I pursue or avoid it.  And of course I sometimes do run from a chance. Sometimes it pays to wait for the best offer, and sometimes I snooze and lose.  Sometimes ‘Change happens.’  Sometimes destiny drops in on me and I am off someplace I am unprepared for. Sometimes ambition strikes a couch potato unexpectedly and changes his or her nature.  Change, yes, is afoot today, around me.

Are YOU here for the first time? Come in!

People love this place! Our site is divided into four sections: Guidance, Tarot Readings, Learn Tarot by Observation, and Learn Tarot by Pictures.

.
If you just want your daily look ahead, Guidance and Tarot Readings are all you need. ‘Guidance’ (above) is a summary of what the cards are telling visitors to be aware of this day.

‘Group Tarot Cards Reading’ (just below this) is the actual word-for-word messages to everyone. These readings are about you and the people around you.  They are about today and the days around it. So, go ahead and pick the sentences you feel are yours and decide whether to encourage or reject them for yourself.

Did you come here for your predictions? – You are done now – See you tomorrow. The family of commenters here would love for you to join in (the very last thing, at the bottom).

Tarot Readings: Sudden Lucky Break (Wheel of Fortune and Eight of Cups)

Do not pursue that opportunity but go the other way.

There is a sudden opportunity for you to pursue if you just wait it out.

He abruptly goes from being a couch potato to pursuing his fortune.

You put a lot of energy into getting here, and suddenly it’s your lucky day.

Sleep is disrupted to get on the road the minute you get the chance.

The big opportunity involves the graveyard shift and a commute.

Over-the-road transport, you make out financially but sleep is disrupted.

He waits for the chance to start driving truck.

Asleep at the switch, or pursuing your best destiny?

Just wait.  Your time will come.  Without any notice, you will be on your way.

All of a sudden it’s full speed ahead after just waiting for something great to happen.

Tarot Readings: Out of Here and On My Way (Knight of Wands and Eight of Cups)

This miracle stuff changes the energy level from not doing anything to zooming around.

Luck will be with you, lie low and you will be out of there fast.

You were lucky to get out of there on your own steam.  Had you stayed, you would have dropped out.

He quit lying around and left town to make something good happen.

Has a choice – to stay or to transfer – and he does leave.

After waiting all that time, (he) gets out in a hurry before it happens.

Suddenly he is not indifferent any more but is out and about any chance he gets.

All of a sudden it’s full speed ahead after just waiting for your chance.

Tarot Readings: Letting it Happen (Wheel of Fortune and Four of Swords)

Lets things happen to him/her; avoids any gung-ho pursuit.

Waiting for a chance to get ahead, I miss out.

Let destiny take its course and send me wherever I end up, whenever.

After no change at all, (you are) catapulted into a whole different scene.

There’s no getting out of here until and unless a shift happens.

He is indifferent to pursuing his fortune – heck with that.

He waits for a chance to get out of the house, and ducks out.

Relax.  Your time will come.  Without any notice,  you will be on your

way.

It happened so fast, I slept through it and missed it.

Eight of Cups

Wheel of Fortune – Four of Swords – Knight of Wands

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

.

Both Knight of Wands and Eight of Cups are outa there and on the road.  Knight of Wands is energetically and purposefully pursuing but Eight of Cups is an accidental tourist;  his being on the road is some kind of disruption, interference or shift. Knight of Wands is pursuing a career or course of action, whereas Eight of Cups is dropping out. (However, in other spreads, you may find Knight of Wands ‘getting out of Doge,’ fleeing.)

Both Wheel of Fortune and Eight of Cups are about a change or shift.  Wheel of Fortune is the opportunity, the chance, the lucky break that gets wonderful things started, gets you on your way, so it is most likely a chance for something good to happen; but Eight of Cups is simply the change or shift: It could go either way. Both Wheel of Fortune and Eight of Cups tend to be sudden change.

And of course there’s Four of Swords asleep at the switch, or waiting, or indifferent and unresponsive. Both Four of Swords and Eight of Cups are not going to: Eight of Cups is dropping out or taking a detour, and Four of Swords just isn’t interested.

Our story today is: What do we do with chance, change, opportunity, and strokes of luck? Do we miss the bus, or do we sail to glory? The advice implies that keeping an eye out for some beautiful thing will be rewarded.

LEARN TAROT BY PICTURES

.

Wheel of Fortune illustrates the idea that both angels and devils meddle in our affairs, making things happen or not happen. In the center of the roulette wheel of fate or destiny is the Name of God in Hebrew, interspersed with TARO (or ROTA? Or both?), and around the wheel and in the corners are various occult critters, some with books. In practice, Wheel of Fortune is the good luck card. It means ‘It happens,’ it means opportunity. This card and Nine of Cups are the ones you hope appear if you want something.

Four of Swords lies there doing nothing, is indifferent, does not respond or participate, sleeps through it all, is a couch potato or lazy person. Four of Swords is ‘time out,’ is on vacation, is taking a nap, is in an inactive or dormant phase. A person has no energy, is prostrate, is passed out or even in a coma. This Rider Waite Tarot card can also be about meditation or vision quest: The illustration shows a candidate for knighthood lying overnight on the sarcophagus of his church’s saint or hero. There is no resistance: Four of Swords is the Beatles’ song ‘Let It Be.’ Resigned to whatever.

Knight of Wands It is opportunity Knight of Wands pursues right now, represented by the Wheel of Fortune in our spread. He is in a hurry, and the pursuit is purposeful. He makes fast progress, gets ahead on the fast track. This is an energetic person. The illustration covers fleeing as well as pursuing; Knight of Wands can be either.

Eight of Cups An abrupt change that is not voluntary – of any kind. Changing direction, aborting course, dropping out, lucking out, encountering a shift. Be forced off the road, walk off, give up, disappear, quit (anything). Disruption. Deflected. Unexpected, without notice, sudden (anything). Many variations of this them for Eight of Cups. The illustrations shows a pilgrim (who intends to resume course) having to go around a mountain because that is where the road goes.

Tarot Readings for You for September 14, 2013 Saturday(c)

Guidance      You know, we don’t sit down and think about each and every thing we do. Most of our actions are reflexive – meaning, they arise out of what is already sitting there in our consciousness, which comes from … who knows where? Some of the thoughts that are rudders to our direction are deliberate, some we are aware of but they are not our ambition, and some of our motivation is the bottom of the iceberg. Today, we give examples of this process.

Are YOU here for the first time? Come in!

Realize you will just leave on your own; you will not be transferred.
A feeling you are not going to get out of town, that something will happen to prevent it.

I was not aware I was going to drop out in such a hurry.
Nothing is going to stop (him) from leaving. He has it in mind.
Isn’t thinking he will leave, but he is outa there.
A thought strikes you to go off in a different direction and not be gung-ho on this one.
When there’ s no progress, you realize it was over before you knew it.
It doesn’t occur to us to get off the path when we are in hot pursuit.

Tarot Readings: Don’t Get Off Course (Two of Swords and Eight of Cups)
He knows he is not going to quit pursuing this.
There’s no quitting on whatever we are inspired to go after.

Follow what you have in mind. Do not be distracted.

Once you have it in mind, run with it and don’t get off of it.
With this vision, you are not in any hurry to drop out.
Take this inspiration, run with it, and don’t stop.

Tarot Readings: Can’t Turn Off the Road (Two of Swords and Eight of Cups)

In such a hurry he didn’t recognize the turnoff.

Hanged Man
Two of Swords, Knight of Wands, Eight of Cups

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

.

The first three of our Tarot cards are about driving on a road, are about going in a direction. Two of Swords is to halt, or a roadblock. Knight of Wands is to speed, to pursue, or to hurry. Eight of Cups is turning off or detouring on that road.

Hanged Man is the reflexive, instinctual, subconscious urge that motivates an action. We realize right after we have already done it – realize why we did it, or that we did it, or how we did it …. Hanged Man has no foresight in this spread, just hindsight.

LEARN TAROT BY PICTURES

.

Two of Swords is to stop. There is a road block, no through street. You can’t go there. Its odd illustration in Rider Waite Tarot shows a blindfolded seated woman whose arms are crossed and weighted with heavy swords so that she cannot move. Stymied!

Knight of Wands
, au contraire, is rushing down the straightaway full speed ahead in pursuit or flight. He has a dazed, sort of, look, and his clothes show he is hurrying forward.

Eight of Cups makes a turn off the road. This is a detour or a dropping out. The road forces his change of direction. He is off the track now. There’s as assumption, since he is a pilgrim in the picture, that he will resume his course.

Hanged Man has the same strange illustration in most decks: hung upside-down. It illustrates the upside-down, hair-on-fire feeling you have when eureka happens to you: Duh! I knew that all along. It means a thought striking, a vision, a realization, to know. It’s something your subconscious was aware of and reminded you. ‘Coulda had a V8.’ Enlightenment.

Without a question to focus the answer,  four cards can mean contradictory things especially when the Spread has a card that negates other cards.  Without a question also the pronouns in a group reading are more flexible,  especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads.  When a pronoun is in parentheses,  feel very free to substitute.  The question in a ‘real’ individual reading supplies at least half the information!

EIGHT OF CUPS

WHEEL OF FORTUNE –  FOUR OF SWORDS –  KNIGHT OF WANDS

DAILY MESSAGE TAROT ANALYSIS  Tell the visitors here something useful and meaningful to them.

Opportunity or Big Chance

Did not pursue that opportunity but went the other way.

There is a sudden opportunity for you to pursue if you just don’t do anything.

He abruptly goes from being a couch potato to pursuing his fortune.

Being vested or tenured is such a grand opportunity it changes everything:  You put a lot of energy into getting there.

Sleep is disrupted to get on the road the minute opportunity strikes.

The big opportunity involves the graveyard shift and a commute.

Over-the-road transport,  you make out financially but sleep is sporadic.

He waits for the chance to start driving truck.

Asleep at the switch,  or pursuing your best destiny?

Just wait.  Your time will come.  Without any notice,  you will be on your way.

All of a sudden it’s full speed ahead after just waiting for your chance.

Being or Getting out of There

This miracle stuff changes the energy level from not doing anything to zooming around.

Luck will be with you,  lie low and you will be out of there unexpectedly.

You were lucky to get out of there on your own steam.  Had you stayed,  you would have dropped out.

He quit lying around and left town to make something happen.

Has a choice  –  to stay or to transfer  –  and he does leave.

After waiting all that time,  (he) gets out in a hurry before it happens.

Suddenly he is not indifferent any more,  he is out and about any chance he gets.

All of a sudden it’s full speed ahead after just waiting for your chance.

Letting it Happen

Lets things happen to him/her;  avoids any gung-ho pursuit.

Waiting for a chance to get ahead,  (you) miss out.

Without any notice,  you will be on your way.

It happened so fast,  he slept through it and missed it.

EIGHT OF CUPS

WHEEL OF FORTUNE –  FOUR OF SWORDS –  KNIGHT OF WANDS

MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS:  OBSERVATION OF THE SPREAD

Both Knight of Wands and Eight of Cups are outa there and on the road.  Knight of Wands is energetically and purposefully pursuing but Eight of Cups is an accidental tourist;  his being on the road is some kind of disruption,  interference or shift.

Both Wheel of Fortune and Eight of Cups are about a change or shift.  Wheel of Fortune is the opportunity,  the chance,  the Happening that gets things started,  gets you on your way,  so it is most likely a chance for something good to happen;  but Eight of Cups is simply the change or shift:  It could go either way.
And of course there’s the Four of Swords asleep at the switch.

MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS:  INDIVIDUAL RIDER WAITE TAROT CARDS

Wheel of Fortune happens,  is a ‘happenin’  thing.’  The illustration and the title screams  “Opportunity!”  Fate and destiny are sometimes involved …  not so much today.  What looks like a roulette wheel has occult symbols that are about the process of things,  the stages of happenings.

Four of Swords sleeps indifferently through it all,  has no energy.  Four of Swords lets things happen to him (or her).  This is a couch potato,  a lazy person,  and a phase in which you are not active.  It is a snooze of some sort.  Other meanings are fairly rare,  like meditation and vision quest and coma.  Illustration is the candidate for knighthood’s night in the church lying on a sarcophagus (a stone coffin cover)  in the presence of the dead hero or saint,  to have his vision of his life’s purpose or calling.

Knight of Wands energetically and purposefully pursues today.  It is opportunity he is pursuing,  the Wheel of Fortune over there.  Illustration is a knight on a fast moving horse carrying his big stick and wearing his armor.

Eight of Cups abruptly departs one direction for another,  encounters a shift or change.  It could luck out or drop out,  and which it is may not be apparent.  Illustration shows a pilgrim having to make a turn because the terrain forces it.
