Tarot Verbatim
GUIDANCE We describe a very realistic down-to-earth take-charge woman who prompts us to the action that fits in with the scene. You just do. You get it, you act on it, as part of the order the place is in. She is the unassuming but uncompromising type. She usually issues no orders, but we obey what her orders would have been. She organizes home, she organizes work. Even her social life is neat.

Magician – Hanged Man – Queen of Wands

….. ……
… … …..
.……..……. Magician and Queen of Wands are getting something done. Magician purely means any phrase involving any form of the verb ‘do,’ and any phrase involving action. (Like Magician and Hanged Man are mental activity, as well as the idea to do something.) Queen of Wands is in charge of life around her – the Mama at home; the manager at work; the competent take-charge woman friend whom people are on their best behavior around.
Hanged Man joins Queen of Wands to emphasize this instinctual telepathic rapport this type of woman has, that explains her effect upon people. Hanged Man is intense feeling too, and Queen of Wands is about a home, so the woman’s feelings about home are intense.
Magician and Hanged Man describe acting on inspiration or instinctive impulse. They describe realizing what is being done, or who is doing it, too. They also describe any phrase with knowing and doing: know what to do, know what he is doing, know how to do … any of that.

.
GET A SINGLE CARD’S MEANINGS: TYPE ITS NAME AND ‘TAROT VERBATIM’ INTO GOOGLE.

Magician………. Magician means ‘do’ in all its forms so often it become cumbersome to phrase his sentences. Magician means action by virtue of being the ‘1’ which is considered the male principle of action or being active on the physical plane (or other plane). So Magician also means any male pronoun. It is one of the simple cards, so it’s an anchor card.
Hanged Man……….. Hanged Man is when you ‘get it,’ you realize, you see from some particular perspective. Hanged Man is any sort of paranormal mental activity too: telepathy, mind-reading, deja vu, remote viewing, any psychic awareness or activity. Hanged Man translates ‘know’ and ‘realize’ most often.
Hanged Man is also intense feeling, even ‘love at first sight.’
You see the energy halo representing mental activity or that ‘hair on fire’ disoriented feeling associated with your mind racing – say, as you are connecting the dots when a new perspective strikes you.
Hanged Man’s illustration hearkens back to various myths of the main character hanging himself on a tree for three days and sacrificing a body function in return for wisdom. There are at least three such sagas. All-father Odin sacrificed one of his eyes.
.
Queen of Wands……….Queen of Wands lives in the real world, the physical world, and she takes charge to organize her setting. At home or at work, or walking down the street, she is the manager, and she is alert to her surroundings. Think Martha Stewart, Irma Bombeck or Maud. Queen of Wands is the disciplinarian: without even trying. She carries a big stick, but has a sunflower in the other hand. This is one of the cards that means a competent woman.
.
Phase One of getting something done often is getting the idea and really expecting it to be done – not to mention being competent to watch over it and be in charge of it from the ground up. It starts with the bright idea, and it ends with maintenance.

Now, Part Two,
Do you want to know a little, or a lot, about how this Tarot Verbatim™ thing works? If so,
*Go to Learn Tarot by Observing section below. This tells about the combined meanings of the three cards in the pictures in the Tarot Readings. It explains how these cards get together in your mind to make the messages. HERE ARE PHRASES FOR ALL THREE 2-CARD COMBINATIONS is a stream-of-consciousness bridge to your subconscious if you use it regularly – people report.
*Go to Learn Tarot by Pictures. It is what each of the cards, by itself, has to say. It shows you how that illustration makes that card’s meanings in today’s Spread. All the words of each Tarot card reading you see here are a phrase-by-phrase translation of the scene pictured on those cards: no filler, no psychic impressions, no spirit guide. Word-for-word Tarot Verbatim™.
You can put all this together and intuitively see yourself how Tarot Verbatim™ works.
This is a group reading, with no Questioner and no Question to limit what the cards say, so there’s more variety – even contradictions – than a personal reading would give you. Also, pronouns are flexible: If the sentence feels like it’s yours, and it says ‘he,’ but you’re a ‘she,’ well, it’s yours.
*AND if you write names of any two cards into the Google search bar, it will give you meanings of those!

Magician – Hanged Man – Temperance
LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING
.
………
………
………
Idea – action – intimate contact. Hanged Man is an inspired idea. Magician is acting on it. Temperance is intimacy, an intimate relationship or communication. We have stories. To think about it, to do it, to be together ….
………………
………….. Magician‘s illustration represents action and being active in the physical world: doing, bringing about, starting, initiating, making, making it happen (and it happening, too), action and acting, prompting. Conjugate the verbs ‘do’ and ‘make’ and you have most of Magician’s meanings. Esoterically, those are the male principle, as the number 1. (High Priestess is being, thinking, and receptivity as the female principle as the number 2.) This makes Magician an anchor card: one whose meaning is very focused, with few variations.
As the male principle too, Magician is any male pronoun, although seldom the possessive ones. So, he, him, the man, the male animal, etc. As the principle of action, Magician also reads ‘do it myself,’ ‘do it yourself,’ along the lines of ‘Make it happen.’
………………
………….. Hanged Man represents that flash of awareness that happens when the non-conscious parts of the mind toss some contents onto the floor of our daily reality, and we gasp for air as a shift in our perspective causes the world to turn on its axis. Common examples of this upside-down hair-on-fire feeling are: the lipstick on the collar moment; the ‘I coulda had a V-8’ moment; the instant of enlightenment or life-changing salvation from a destructive habit. You get it: The flash of awareness that redefines and rearranges elements of your existence. Sometimes it’s the ‘Oh fuck’ moment; sometimes it’s uplifting – but it’s almost always a kick in the solar plexus.
The illustration for this draws from several ancient religions in which the protagonist (central character, hero, or god) hangs himself on a tree and exchanges a body part for wisdom. The easiest of these for me to remember is ‘All-Father Odin,’ the head god of the Norse religion, exchanging an eye for wisdom as he hung on a tree for three days. The upside-down figure represents the upside-down feeling you get when your brain gets scrambled or unscrambled; the energy halo around the figure’s head represents that ‘hair-on-fire’ feeling, and of course represents an overwhelming influx of information and awareness as the mind races faster than its tolerances allow.
However, back on the farm, so to speak, Hanged Man most frequently translates: realize and realization, think, know, see, insight, ‘get it,’ telepathy, sense, a thought striking, inspiration, envision, a vision, an intense feeling or urge, instinct, ‘turned on,’ a little bird told me, a feeling in my gut, and other like phrases.
………………
………….. Temperance is grafted into the deck, and is of limited usefulness as a Johnny-come-lately P. S. sort of entity. It appears in Europe in the Roman Catholic darkness of the Middle Ages as one of the cards created to deflect accusations of witchcraft from Tarot’s users. Witchcraft was a political kangaroo-court accusation, and you got burned to death for it, so the strategy to make the deck look Roman Catholic was well-placed. There’s the angel pouring water and wine together, which pious people did to keep from feeling good from the wine’s effect. That is a symbol of healing on the angel’s chest.
But in Tarot, this card has a mind of its own. Don’t expect it to show up to mean dilution or abstaining from alcohol. But it does mean healing every once in a while. Its application emphasizes the blending, the flow, the healing, and, if the subject calls for it, the actual angel. Temperance is the deal and dealing back and forth, communication back and forth, intimacy, intimate partner, responding, reciprocating – your text is answered, you actually have a conversation when you phone, etc. There are better illustrations for its meaning.
Ask a question in mechanics – say, about an internal combustion engine – and Temperance will show up for the flow of gas into the cylinders, along with one of the cards that mean explosion, like Tower.
He was really inspired to make his relationship an intimate one, and he would have to accomplish this by his own actions: His partner, he knew, had written him off already. He realized he would be single-handedly creating the mutual intimacy. It is his idea to make a joint two-are-one relationship, all by himself. And he did it too.
Now we show where each of the phrases in each of the sentences comes from:

.

Magician……….. Magician depicts willing something to happen, and acting to make it happen. You see a man (Magician as the 1 represents the male principle of action, as High Priestess represents the female principle of receptivity, thinking, and being, as the 2.) with his right hand holding his wand aloft, and his left hand grounding the action by pointing earthward. On the table are the four suits of a Tarot deck: a cup, a wand, a pentacle and a sword. He is making something happen, with his will. As I understand it, a magician’s definition of magic is: Will.
Magician means action, to act, male who acts, doing it single-handedly yourself, do, did, done, doing, make, made, making, he, him, himself, yourself, and phrases like ‘his doing.’
.

Hanged Man…………. Hanged Man is the moment a life-changing brain-rearranging realization strikes you. Eureka, deja vu, the afterthought, an inspired notion, the moment of vision, enlightenment or salvation or union with the Divine – things like that belong to Hanged Man. So does the lipstick-on-the-collar moment, the ‘I coulda had a V-8’ moment, the falling-in-love moment … yeah, all of those. The emphasis here is on the flash, the moment of apperception.
So Hanged Man translates ‘realize’ and ‘see’ and ‘get it,’ as well as ‘insight.’ It also often simply translates ‘know,’ but often it is the flash that’s emphasized – that flash of awareness that disorients us temporarily as our brains race with an overload of input. It frequently translates simply: think feel, get it, insight, inspiration, envision, intense, intense urge or feeling, being turned on, sense something, a thought striking, envisioning or an actual vision, and ‘picture’ as a verb. Hanged Man described a friend’s suddenly understanding the principle of debits and credits – what they were – which she needed to master to graduate from law school in Canada.
The illustration here shows the energy halo around the head – the hair-on-fire feeling you get when a major flash of ‘getting it’ occurs. It shows an upside-down person, which exemplifies the ‘world-is-upside-down’ feeling you get when your perception shifts violently and unexpectedly. The concept you see arises from several myths from different cultures about a god or hero hanging himself on a tree and sacrificing a body part for wisdom or enlightenment. All-Father Odin did this in his myth.
.

Temperance…………. Temperance is kind of a Tarot orphan. It was added in Europe in the Dark Ages as one of the cards that gave Tarot a Christian (a Roman Catholic) aspect, because the Church would burn you to death as a witch otherwise. Piety is the idea here: to dilute the wine with water, and have a holy angel do it who is wearing a traditional halo. He has a symbol for healing on his chest. However, Temperance does not act out any of these meanings – other than the healing one, and the angel one, and that’s occasionally.
Temperance most often refers to dealing with someone, to a deal, to intimacy, to a close relationship, to reciprocating or responding or ‘getting back to you’ in some communication, to partners or intimate partners. These meanings are using the flow of the liquid back and forth (similar to the back-and-forth of Two of Pentacles)
Four Card Spreads, Tarot Verbatim
Advice The contemplative person takes action. Inspired insight occurs to the active person. These two things create a balance. Thought without action is as impotent as action without thought. Activity on the spiritual plane depletes the physical body of energy but produces informed and inspired action. Mental work depletes the body of energy too, but produces the great inspired idea about what to do. In the same way, awareness you need money inspires you to activity! Flashes of spiritual realization occur when you exhaust yourself.

Is this the first time you come here? Well … what to do:
*Go to Advice above which is a summary of the Messages. (Advice is everyone’s favorite part.)
*Go to Group Analytical Tarot Reading below. One or more of those sentences has something to say to you. Intuitively pick those out and decide whether to encourage or suppress them. They are about you and the people around you. They are about today and the days around it. (It is a group message like a horoscope, except Tarot isn’t based on someone else’s birth data, so it can be specific, accurate, detailed and direct. Our experiment here is “How much more accurate is it?”)
Did you come here for your predictions? – You are done now – See you tomorrow.
Without a question to focus the answer, four cards can mean contradictory things especially when the Spread has a card that negates other cards. Without a question also the pronouns in a group reading are more flexible, especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads. When a pronoun is in parentheses, feel very free to substitute. The question in a ‘real’ individual reading supplies at least half the information!

Magician
High Priestess – Five of Pentacles – Hanged Man
MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS: OBSERVATION OF THE SPREAD
A convergence of High Priestess with Hanged Man – spiritual and mental acute awareness, spiritual insight, visionary wisdom. A convergence of High Priestess and Magician – the female principle and the male principle. Trapped in between is Dark Night of the Soul, exhaustion, being drained. (And of course Magician stands in as acting upon the awareness or insight.) Whew!
But not to worry, we found some romantic applications for these four too.
The feminine principle is receptivity, knowing and knowingness, wisdom and occult/spiritual expertise. (Knowing without acting) The masculine principle is activity – to do, to make, to bring down or bring about. (Acting without knowing) Occult gospel is that these two principles get together and create an entity that connects to the next plane down, and a whole nest of triangles represents … I guess all that is. Anyway, that is what the whole feminine and masculine principle thing is, and it’s the big underlying foundational assumption of occultism, as far as I know. (Someday I will read up more thoroughly on it.)
Anyway, we have a message that is about knowing and awareness and insight all over the place, even (of course) in the romantic messages because half the cards are that.
MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS: INDIVIDUAL RIDER WAITE TAROT CARDS
High Priestess The ‘B’ and ‘J’ pillars stand for justice and mercy that represent extremes in the Kaballah ideology from the Jewish tradition. She knows all, is wise, and is not engaged in activity. So she means ‘she,’ a single woman or woman by herself. She comes up as a lady or classy lady and as a sedentary woman or bookkeeper (the book in her lap). She represents an expert or expertise, research, and also the spiritual plane itself. Contemplative. It’s embarrassing how often this Rider Waite Tarot card just means ‘she.’
Five of Pentacles Numb with despair, they say, and this is it. Homeless and so out-of-it that they pass unknowingly by a place (cathedral) that has shelter for them. Dark Night of the Soul, a stage of spiritual development that recurs. The core idea is depletion, doing without, not having enough (being broke) as well as being sick, feeling sick, feeling self-pity. Here are the phrases it produces today:
not enough
needs money
feeling left out
not enough money
miserable
hurts her feelings deeply
sickens her
sorely lacks
how tired she gets
depressed
numbs
too tired to get anything done
drains him to exhaustion
exhausts
lack the
don’t ___ enough
at the expense of
tired
tires you
Hanged Man The experience that, yes, you knew that. Duh! It produces that disoriented upside-down feeling. Realize is the most common word for Hanged Man. Here are some others from today’s messages:
It strikes him
Knowing/realizes
realizing
his intuition is,
aha moment
He gets it
eureka experience
insight
senses how
acute awareness
psychic awareness
deep mental
spiritual realization
is aware
inkling
inspiration
Deja vu
Mental activity
gives you the idea
Magician takes initiative, takes action, makes it happen, does. He is the one who does (it). Action as opposed to contemplation. The male way. He is pictured in the act of making something happen, the tools of the magician’s trade on the table there. This card often means any form of the verbs ‘do’ and ‘make.’

Four Card Spreads, Our Daily Spread
Advice Women get together and get things done out of sight of the menfolk. There’s a sisterhood that operates as a co-op when no guy has a part in the deal. He senses that the womenfolk are in agreement about him when he’s not around. The girls are glad he didn’t want to share their doings, now there’s more for them. He sees the woman he left behind making fast progress. But some fellows rush right over; they have the idea to join in the woman’s enterprise. (At the time of production, there’s no way to correct the lack of spaces after punctuation. I am writing around it now!)

Is this the first time you come here? Well … what to do:
*Go to Advice above which is a summary of the Messages. (Advice is everyone’s favorite part.)
*Go to Group Analytical Tarot Reading below. One or more of those sentences has something to say to you. Intuitively pick those out.
Three of Cups Knight of Wands – Hanged Man – Magician GROUP ANALYTICAL TAROT READING Tell the visitors here something useful and meaningful to them. Chasing Women is On his mind (Knight of Wands + Three of Cups + Hanged Man) Gets the urge to run over and join the girls, and does. Knows a party when he sees one, he rushes right over. He quickly gets the idea what he can do to be the guy who shares life with her. Acting quickly to click with the gals. Senses what to do to be accepted as one of the girls, and does it in a hurry. Recognize him as the type to chase after the action with the good-time girls. All he’s got on his mind is chasing women. Woman Run from Him, they Know (Knight of Wands + Three of Cups + Hanged Man) Women run from him, they know what he is up to. Realizes doing that will make the girls leave. The women realize what he is doing when he is out of town. The girls see Mr. I’m In a Hurry to Do It when they look at him. When he is gone the women are together in their thoughts about his doings. Idea to Get Together in Business with Girl Friends (Hanged Man + Three of Cups) Her idea to get together with some friends and make a profit, which she did in a hurry. As soon as we realized we could be in business together, we got moving on it and did. The idea of women making money at party sales takes off: They enjoy doing it. Recognize that it’s the women who make the fastest progress doing co-ops. It was his idea to do that, but the girls took it and ran with it. The women are making money fast, we knew they could do it. Some fellows rush right over with the idea to join in the women’s enterprises. He gets the idea of going into business with women and is in a hurry to do it. Women take the initiative with this idea and run with it. He Leaves, and the Women Prosper by Themselves (Knight of Wands + Three of Cups) He got the idea he would travel faster by himself, and left the womenfolk behind. He realized what he would have to do to keep the women in the good life, and he left. When the menfolk get themselves out of the way, women are a sisterhood. The women of the family do it themselves, they know he is on his way out. As soon as he did that, we knew he would be leaving us to fend for ourselves: Yay!
