Elements of a story here:
A sweet Knight of Cups boyfriendly guy who is cooperative and helpful;
a tough self-interested Knight of Pentacles fellow who has one thing on his mind;
Ace of Cups as true love or a friend (or being well-liked, or affection, cooperation, health, and God.
Ace of Cups and Knight of Cups Knight of Cups is the affectionate loving boyfriend; Ace of Cups is true love. Both are agreeable; both cooperate.
Two of Swords and Knight of Pentacles Two of Swords is ‘closed’ and Knight of Pentacles is a man with one thing on his mind; together than can be ‘his mind is closed’ or his mind is closed to everything but …
Knight of Pentacles and Knight of Cups Knight of Cups and Knight of Pentacles are two different men, and Knight of Cups means ‘buddy’ too. Knight of Pentacles is the muscle head; Knight of Cups is the easygoing diplomat. Here’s a pair of men we have all met: the man who is driven and full of testosterone, and the friend who pulls him back from his brinks. One is too tough, the other too nice.
Two of Swords and Ace of Cups Two of Swords is a block; Ace of Cups is a flow. We don’t use that today.

Two of Swords No. Not … any contraction (isn’t, doesn’t, etc.). No way. This card suggests “What part of ‘No’ don’t you understand; the ‘N’ or the ‘O’? Its few other meanings are unexplored here today – like block and stop. Illustration is a blindfolded seated woman at night on the waterfront’s stone bench, holding two double-edged crossed swords in her hand, wearing a nightdress or slip. Yes, she is stuck.

Knight of Pentacles The telemarketer or televangelist or hotshot stockbroker/bankster. The Type A ‘What’s in it for me?’ dude. The muscle or ruffian or punk too. Has one thing on his mind, he does; and it’s about himself. He’s got that mesmerized stare, he’s short, stocky and intense just like his horse.

Ace of Cups Benign and Divine, you could say of this Rider Waite Tarot card. It stylizes the idea of channeling the presence of God, bodily. The dove and the wafer and the ‘W’ above and around the cup which holds a fountain (out of which emanate five streams: five senses or five bodily fluids) express this idea. As I explained before, Tarot’s reintroduction in the West came wrapped in accommodations that un-demonized it, so people could use it and still keep their heads. Today, it’s love, cooperation, health, being a softie or affectionate, love life, easy, attracted and well liked.

Knight of Cups A sweet Knight of Cups boyfriendly guy who is cooperative offers the hand of friendship and/or affection. He is known to be polite, diplomatic, likeable, easygoing. The illustration expresses these concepts in pastel colors, curved lines, and putting him on a merry-go-round horse.

Guidance The worst of times often inspire the best of times. Nothing quite like seeing clearly because we sense some peril is out there … is there? Nothing quite like hitting bottom to bounce to good times. We often see opportunities most clearly when we are hearing things going ‘bump’ in the night, don’t we? Such a direct correlation between energetically pursuing success and getting the heck out of the way of failure! The dragon’s breath on our heels inspiring us to dare to pursue our fortune: That’s all we are about today, except for some pithy observations about fast women on the road to hell.

Wheel of Fortune
Moon – Knight of Wands – Three of Cups
LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING
These four tend to get in the way of one another: Over and over, I discarded sentences because one card or a pair canceled out the meaning for the rest of them.
Moon and Wheel of Fortune Moon and Wheel of Fortune mean the worst and the best, respectively of course. Doom and luck, misfortune and fortune; cloud with the silver lining; hit bottom and find destiny; cash in on a disaster.
Knight of Wands and Three of Cups Knight of Wands is to speed ahead (or to run from) with great energy – to be gung-ho or to flee. Three of Cups is to enjoy, share, socialize and celebrate together.
Three of Cups and Wheel of Fortune are about cashing in, having the good life. Three of Cups celebrates the fruit of labor, the harvest they are sharing. Wheel of Fortune is the windfall – of any sort – itself, and the destiny or luck that hatched it.
The story is obvious: Get out of trouble, pursue an opportunity to share good times with good people. I’ll toast to that with Three of Cups.

Moon Here we have the Left-hand Path, with its symbols. The full moon illuminates a coyote and dog howling together (coyotes kill and eat dogs), a purple lobster going on a land journey, two towers associated somehow with evil … a bad scene that could be titled the road to hell (Left-hand Path). So Moon means horrible, wrong, sickness, vice, the worst, evil …. “The worst card in the deck.” On a good day, in good company, it can just mean night or inspiration, the muse.

Knight of Wands is ‘getting out of Dodge’ or pursuing – either one. He looks more like he is fleeing: See his expression, and the fact his horse is rearing up? Today he usually means ‘get out of,’ fast, chase and pursue.

Three of Cups Sharing good times with good people. Profiting from one’s labor and sharing its proceeds with coworkers. Depicted are girls sharing the harvest of their farm they have worked on together. They also are socialites, or party girls you meet on that road we speak of.

Wheel of Fortune Chance and opportunity are its frequent phrases. Miraculous, miracle, wonderful and lucky are runners-up. Today we have some newish ones: greater things, silver lining, best thing we ever, something good happen, best time, pays off handsomely, best days and gambling. It isn’t meaning ‘destiny’ today. The illustration is as occult as Moon’s: The wheel (presumably of reincarnation) has the Hebrew Name of God (which figures prominently in some forms of magic), and ‘ROTA,’ an occult word. (Promise I’ll look it up someday.) It has various occult creatures, several of whom have books. That red lizard is a bad guy that William Burroughs wrote about, I think.

Four Card Spreads, Our Daily Spread
Advice is that a woman who can handle anything, and does a lot for a man, could be up to no good. The road to perdition is paved with her good deeds for you. Conversely, the woman who instinctively babies her dude can fall victim to a bad one. The key factor identified here is ‘not paying attention’ and ‘before you know it.’ We also speak of how being in a rush leads to mistakes – on the road, too.
(At the time of production, there’s no way to correct the lack of spaces after punctuation. I am writing around it now!

Is this the first time you come here? Well … what to do:
*Go to Advice above which is a summary of the Messages. (Advice is everyone’s favorite part.)
*Go to Daily Message Tarot Analysis below. One or more of those sentences has something to say to you. Intuitively pick those out. They are about you and the people around you. They are about today and the days around it. (It is a group message like a horoscope, except Tarot isn’t based on someone else’s birth data, so it can be specific, accurate, detailed and direct. Our experiment here is “How much more accurate is it?”)
Did you come here for your predictions? – You are done now – See you tomorrow. Without a question to focus the answer, four cards can mean contradictory things especially when the Spread has a card that negates other cards. Without a question also the pronouns in a group reading are more flexible, especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads. When a pronoun is in parentheses, feel very free to substitute. The question in a ‘real’ individual reading supplies at least half the information!

DAILY MESSAGE TAROT ANALYSIS Tell the visitors here something useful and meaningful to them.
Romantic Perspective – Woman who Takes Care/Can Handle (Queen of Pentacles)
His Perspective
May as well let this perverted lady who is after you do her … whatever.
She is up to no good pursuing him by doing things for him, and he doesn’t know.
I’m doomed, I may as well just let her chase me and possess me.
Well, that was a big blunder, I guess I will pursue a woman who cares for me now.
She runs his business, he doesn’t even know when it’s in trouble: His energy is on getting it going.
If I’m going in the wrong direction, my woman will take care of things without me knowing even.
She is possessive to the point of obsession, but he doesn’t care, he just keeps going.
Running from the woman, had no idea she was twisted.
Instinctual fear to run away from a woman who can handle you.
As fast as he senses a woman is the type to take him over, he runs away in fear.
No idea this gal who babies him is an avid practitioner of bad magic.
Her Perspective
She is investing her energy in him even if it’s wrong.
She is not aware the guy who is pursuing her is a criminal.
She has no idea the guy in her care is an escaped criminal.
She has the ability to get him to chase her, no idea he is a weirdo.
She is getting out of here so fast, it was just a mistake on her part.
Guys who need mothering just come to her; it’s a curse.
She can make a fellow forget about going all the wrong places.
She can get a fella going in the wrong direction without him even suspecting.
She puts a guy on the road to hell and he will never know.
She gets a man in lust with her and taking out after her before he even knows it.
She Handles a Nasty Situation (Queen of Pentacles + Moon)
There’s a bad situation she is taking care of, so she may as well get on down the road.
She isn’t concerned with this right now, there’s a bad situation she is zooming off to take care of.
I guess that’s a murky situation she is handling in such a hurry.
Just let it fester and go about your business, she can handle it.
She is handling a really nasty situation that no one is to know about, as fast as she can.
She has the ability to drive through the swamp, just let her.
If she isn’t there to back me up, it’s a mistake to pursue it.
Bookkeeper (Queen of Pentacles)
No one knows the bookkeeper has wreaked havoc until he/she is down the road.
Fools rush in where bookkeepers fear to tread.
Bookkeeper won’t know if she does it wrong when she is in a hurry.
Traffic Perspective (Knight of Wands)
Speeding the wrong way, not looking where she is going.
The drunk driver never saw the woman

I analyze business situations and personal relationships accurately from both Tarot and practical perspectives, and even make it fun. (Testimonials are on the web site. https://emilysinsight.com.)

Queen of Pentacles
Fool – Knight of Wands – Moon
MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS: OBSERVATION OF THE SPREAD
Moon is always trouble, a mistake, all-round bad stuff. First thing you notice.
Then we have being oblivious, not thinking, being unaware (Fool) and being in a hurry or rush, speeding (Knight of Pentacles). These three are a recipe for disasters. All three of them involve the road in one way or another, too.
There’s a lot you can do with these three that Queen of Pentacles keeps you from doing. She is the spoiler card that limits their expressions. The woman who is able, can handle, is motherly and possessive and backs her man in his endeavors. Now, I have said before she is potentially witchy if there is something that brings it out, or if that theme is in the question. Moon is that card par excellence. So ‘Evil Woman’ is here.
MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS: INDIVIDUAL RIDER WAITE TAROT CARDS
Fool operates on instinct, out of the subconscious, and is oblivious to real-world reality. Its deeper meaning is living ‘out there’ in the mental and/or spiritual planes and not quite, therefore, inhabiting the physical consciousness. That this ‘works.’ Which it does, for some people at least. Different drummer stuff. He is pictured about to skip off a cliff with his little dog, nose in air, on a journey with no provisions to speak of.
In real-world readings, being oblivious to reality does not turn out well. Imagine that.
Knight of Wands Over the road, speeds, is in a hurry or rush. Is pursuing or fleeing or even escaping. Has a lot of energy and is using it right now. Illustration is him on his horse who is reared up as the wind whips the fellow’s clothes.
Moon “The worst card in the deck,” we say. It means things like wrong and evil and foul, as well as blunder and mistake. What is pictured is ‘The Left Hand Path’ known as the road to perdition or hell. It shows a swamp with a lobster about to go on a land journey and a coyote hanging out with a dog (natural enemies consorting). The two towers mean something foul in occultism, as well.
Queen of Pentacles The woman who can … can handle anything, can run her man’s business, can be so possessive she engulfs the fellow she is babying or taking care of or caring for. She can be on the witchy side, especially when she is set next to the Left Hand Path. (See the goat head on her throne?) She can make or break a fellow, and it’s interesting that we also have the Knight of Wands who is either/or running away from or pursuing.
Being pictured with the huge coin of gold in her lap suggests being the handler of the money or the bookkeeper. She is surrounded by symbols of fertility, and is considered the administrator of an estate, often her husband’s estate.

If you have to rush it, you could ruin it
Moon Ace of Swords, Knight of Wands, Page of Cups
You have to hurry, it could get/be worse. You have to question (it): To hurry through (it) would be a mistake. Put that foolish mistake behind you! If you drive by fast, you will surely get lost. The ‘unlawful flight’ part has to be a question. Had to leave to avoid being questioned about the crime/mistake. Have to get out of this hellhole someday. If you have to rush it, you could ruin it. Must inquire whether it’s fast getting worse. If I had to rush through, maybe I would make a mistake. Have to get out before the ridiculous extreme is the case. When you really mess up, you may have to leave. I guess I’m going to have to get out of town when the fit hits the shan. Is it so bad I have to leave? This is a warning to get out or hurry up, something bad may be happening, a mistake may be happening or some questions may be asked. It isn’t every day that you have ‘Run!’ – Knight of Wands – and ‘Big Bad Mistake’ together, especially with the ‘have to’ of the Ace of Swords. Then there’s a ‘what if,’ the Page of Cups, that tones down the heaviness of the Ace of Swords-Moon conjunction. Advice is to watch your step.
Meanings and Illustrations:
Ace of Swords: You have to, that’s an order. Surely, you must. There’s a hand with a big weapon that says you have to.
Knight of Wands: Hurry up, get moving, get out of the way, avoid, and put something behind you, or pursue. Here is this fellow whose horse is in a lather and he’s movin’ on out. Page of Cups: Huh? Duh? Maybe it could or would be foolish, ask a question or speculate about what may happen ‘if.’ This fellow in a dress with a fish in a cup is a walking question mark. Moon: Here’s the big bad ugly worst case scenario, the mistake, mess, ruination or crime, expose of he the hellhole … the getting sooo lost. The towers in the illustration have some occult significance, and the wolf and the dog, enemies, have joined forces as the lobster sets out on a land journey … craziness.

She is a talented manager of the company’s affairs regarding some secretive bookwork
Ten of Cups High Priestess, Queen of Pentacles, Queen of Wands
She is in the back room, in charge of keeping books for the people. She manages everybody’s money expertly. She is the expert on investing other people’s money, that’s her department. She fits in with the other women in the group. Three married women. Three happily married women. Three women in the family. She stays home and takes care of him and the household. She is making this a happy home by being there, taking care of her man and being the wife. The wife has her own money, and knows how to make other people happy. She keeps her own money in her name as a married woman. She, the wife, is secretive about the family money. This is one big happy family, and the women devote themselves to family matters. She has been with the company long enough for her talents to be recognized, she is a manager. She is a talented manager of the company’s affairs regarding some secretive bookwork. Well, should I have just put these back in the deck and drawn some more? We simply have three cards in a row that mean a woman and then one that means the (happy) family. That card, with some stretch, can be a community or company. This isn’t much to work with, but it means something to some people who read this blog. I wonder what? Advice is to recognize the talent of a woman in a support role whose talent and contribution is to keep things straight, mind a budget and/or paperwork. There must be something to ‘the three’ as well, the three individual women described below. It is possible that the ‘witchy’ theme applies to someone, too: That is a factor the three women cards have in common.
Meanings and Illustrations:
High Priestess: The quiet woman, which also means expert, keeping secrets and/or keeping books or some written records. She stays in one place in some sense. The illustration on the Rider Waite version of Tarot shows a quiet, seated woman holding a book, associated with deep knowledge of spiritual and occult things. Queen of Pentacles: The woman who takes care of her man and his money, who minds the fortunes of her family. She superintends the money of the company or estate. She also has her own money. She is talent, she contributes. The illustration shows a crowned woman with the money symbol in her possession and indications of fertility: the verdant vegetation around her, and the bunny. The goat head carved on her throne suggests she has some witchy talent as well. Queen of Wands: Wife, mother, manager of the place, whether ‘the place’ is a home or company. Her black cat suggests witchy possibilities. She is a very practical, competent person, reliable, ‘the mama.’ Ten of Cups: The happy family, happy group or community. Prosperity in a good neighborhood. The illustration shows the happy family outside their landed home, a rainbow of plenty overhead, the children dancing and the couple’s arms stretched up. My, my, aren’t we happy and prosperous?
My, my has this day started out with a bang. First Emily makes a few interesting mistakes, managing to thoroughly insult the Page of Pentacles by mixing him up with the Page of Cups. I messed up and the computer ate today’s post. Emily says it might be a good idea to stay in bed, and then you won’t have to spend the money on a call to her wondering what the heck happened … -Stef
