Tarot Readings for You for May 3, 2014 Saturday©

Guidance      How beneficial *the suffering we have overcome* is.   Being broke can teach us how to have money and keep it so we are financially stable.  It’s the Dark Night of the Soul that makes us spiritually adept.  It’s facing bankruptcy that makes us financially astute.  Heartache instructs our enjoyment of peace and quiet – when we finally do arrive there.  All’s well that ends well, we forget the birth pangs when we live *our new baby life* to the full.  I get the independence I crave by negotiating the ghetto within.  We are saying here that poor times, both in spiritual and financial life, are money in the bank after all is said and done.

Five of Pentacles
Nine of Pentacles – Nine of Cups – Strength

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

.

Once again Tarot (Rider Waite Tarot in Tarot Verbatim ™ ) has paralleled spiritual stature with financial attainment. Interesting, that.

Nine of Pentacles and Strength Both Nine of Pentacles and Strength are women in control of their situation, their lives.

Nine of Pentacles owns her place and owns her space, is ‘large and in charge,’ has already succeeded financially, and isn’t in any struggle but is doing whatever she pleases and minding her own business. Nine of Pentacles is a study in ‘enough’: Her position can be one of being satisfied and content with right where she’s at. This can be the way she is so rich and powerful that she is not answering her phone and is independent.

Strength, on the other hand, overcomes her struggles by superior defense: She defuses opposition by stroking it the right way until it purrs the way she wants it to. She is adept, spiritually superior, a skilled handler you just don’t cross if you’re smart. She is the lady (with PMS?) the muggers make room for. But she is not assertive, just capable of handling anything. She too minds her own business. You can see how two people like this would be allies. They can be the same person, of course, in a Tarot spread.

Nine of Cups and Five of Pentacles Then we have Nine of Cups having it all and Five of Pentacles lacking it all. Greed vs. destitution, the very wealthy and the very poor. But these are also contentment versus self-pity or being miserable (or making yourself miserable). Today they say that sacrifice is the way to have the life you want, that doing without is the path to wealth.

Then we have Nine of Cups having it all and Five of Pentacles lacking it all. Greed vs. destitution, the very wealthy and the very poor.

Strength and Five of Pentacles But Five of Pentacles is also about the Dark Night of the Soul spiritual phase, and Strength is one who is spiritually superior. After a peak experience, there is a letdown that Five of Pentacles illustrates. A person is drained, oblivious and depressed like the street people who are passing a warm church by, where there is food, without even noticing, they are so numbed out. Can you see the parallel to the contrast between ‘having it all’ and being broke, here?

Nine of Pentacles and Nine of CupsNine of Pentacles and Nine of Cups have it all, want for nothing – or, each is content with what he or she has (another form of riches). Nine of Pentacles is about ownership of the means of production, being in charge of an enterprise (the proprietor, the entrepreneur), being stable financially; whereas Nine of Cups is just ‘high on the hog’ well off and has whatever she or she wants … or is satisfied with what he or she has.

Nine of Pentacles and Five of Pentacles Nine of Pentacles owns a home; Five of Pentacles is homeless on the street. The contrast here is not only money, but the difference between being in charge of your circumstances or not, as well as being self-confident versus being sorry for yourself. (Not that self-pity is wrong: If you can feel sorry for another suffering soul, why not treat yourself to the same?)

And when you add Five of Pentacles, it’s to make others miserable or to deprive them. Think of Nine of Pentacles and Strength and Five of Pentacles as ‘Hard-hearted Hannah’ (Ray Charles’ song) keeping her man-friend under her thumb, or keeping the peasants in their place.

Nine of Pentacles is entrenched in ownership, is ‘large and in charge,’ has already succeeded financially to her (or his) satisfaction, and is stable financially. She isn’t in any struggle but is doing whatever she pleases and minding her own business, being in control of her situation, her life. She can own her home or own an enterprise and the means of production. She is a proud and private person who minds her own business and expects you to mind yours. There she is in the vineyard with her falcon, having that ‘I’ve got mine’ look and stance, with a snail at her feet to let you know she is a lady of leisure who does things in her own sweet time.

Nine of Cups The very wealthy can stay drunk or high and still be successful, you know. They do that in Palm Beach a lot. Probably in D. C. too? This is the person who has it all and is used to it, the person who has no concept of ‘enough.’ The American dream. It means greed too, of course. A bellyfull or a full belly. It is what you want as well, or even wanting. But even then it retains the whiff of excess. That’s Nine of Cups’ stereotype. Look for it to also, in a big way, mean satisfaction, to please or to be pleased, and even (with support cards) to be content.

Strength handles, overcomes and solves. Gracefully. The illustration shows the spiritual adept (expert) holding the mouth shut of the predator while she pets him and he purrs. The point is that knowing what you are doing makes things easy, that a superior person is unopposed. The eternity symbol above her head and the white robe with flowers are symbolic of spiritual mastery. She solves situations – hers and yours. The cards’ more negative meaning is to shut up the bully, or to make someone behave.

Five of Pentacles Us at our lowest point. Been down so long it looks like up to me. Numb with despair and blind to the escape from misery. Dark Night of the Soul, a port on one’s spiritual journey, feels just like that. These are the times our energy is drained, spiritually or physically. This is the way mooches and vampires make us feel … and it’s when they find us too. This is being homeless and sick. This is being broke and doing without. This is being lonely and hurt. The message of the Rider Waite Tarot card is that there is warmth and food in the cathedral that they are trudging by without seeing. The message often is: Pay attention!

Now,  Part Two,

Do you want to know a little, or a lot, about how this Tarot Verbatim™ thing works? If so,

*Go to Learn Tarot by Observing section below. This tells about the combined four pictures in the Tarot Readings – the pictures above here.  It explains how these four cards get together in your mind to make the messages.

*Go to Learn Tarot by Pictures.  It is what each of the four cards, by itself, has to say.  It shows you how that illustration makes that card’s meanings in today’s Spread. All the words of each Tarot card reading you see here are a phrase-by-phrase translation of the scene pictured on those cards: no filler, no psychic impressions, no spirit guide. Word-for-word Tarot Verbatim™.

You can put all this together and intuitively see yourself how Tarot Verbatim™ works.

This is a group reading, with no Questioner and no Question to limit what the cards say, so there’s more variety – even contradictions – and also the pronouns are more flexible. If it feels like it’s yours, and it says ‘he,’ and you’re a ‘she,’ feel free to adopt it anyway.

Tarot Readings for You for January 11, 2013 Friday(c)

Guidance         Our message overall today is that things can change – in either direction – from best to worst, or from worst to best – with ‘our people’ being a factor in the change, whether ‘our people’ is a marriage we are in, or a family group.  We speak of wanting to change because we feel inferior, and wanting to change others when we feel dissatisfied with ourselves.  This is more about our ability to be what we want to be than the influence of those other people.

Are YOU here for the first time?  Come in! People love this place!

Guidance and the Tarot Readings  are for you if you just want your daily look ahead.Guidance” is the summary, followed by your word for word     Tarot Readings from the four Rider Waite Tarot cards you see pictured here. Pick the sentences that you feel are yours and decide whether to encourage or reject them. Sentences contradict one another because negative cards, in this group reading with no question, can attach to any of the other three cards.

Tarot Readings:  Feel Inferior, Downtrodden People (Five of Pentacles)

Tarot Readings:  Delighted, Happy, Gratifying, Having What You Want (Nine of Cups)

Tarot Readings:  Change (Knight of Swords)

Tarot Readings:  Not Be Alone Anymore (Knight of Swords + Five of Pentacles)

No longer doing without the home life that makes you content.

I want to be family and not be lonely anymore.

I want to marry to not be alone anymore.

I really miss my spouse; I want him/her back, real bad.

I want to suffer and be miserable, so I remarried.

Parents feel sorry for themselves and want too much from me:  I go back to their home.

Tarot Readings:  House Troubles (Five of Pentacles)

Not doing without a house is all I need to be satisfied with life.

When you have lost your home, getting back into a house feels so great.

Could not afford the house we really want, so we are back here.

Our house is in poor shape.  We want to restore it.

Tarot Readings:  Feeling Inferior, Downtrodden People (Five of Pentacles)

People who ‘have it all’ feel inferior when that changes.

Downtrodden people as a class ‘want it all and want it now.’

We want what we don’t have, feeling that would restore us to being ‘as good as anyone else.’

I am so happy I changed feeling inferior to everyone.

When we feel down on ourselves, we want to change other people.

I used to feel low class, but now I feel like I’m one of those people who count.

After suffering Dark Night of the Soul, you emerge as one of those rock solid people.

I got out like I wanted to, but my  people are still in that ghetto/that dark place.

My bad time is over, but others in my family are suffering through the same thing.

Tarot Readings:  Delighted, Happy, Gratifying, Having What You Want (Nine of Cups)

I sacrifice for my marriage to be what I want it to be.

The family’s suffering is over.  This is really gratifying.

I am so glad to be out of that marriage that drained me of life.

I miss being married, but I am soo happy to get out of this particular marriage.

The couple is not poor anymore; they are happy with what they have now.

Tarot Readings:  Change (Knight of Swords)

I change feeling inferior to others, and am feeling good about being one of them.

People who are dissatisfied with themselves want to change the rest of us.

I want to be like everybody else, so I changed.

You become one of the people who count when your Dark Night of the Soul season is over.

Knight of Swords – Five of Pentacles – Four of Wands

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

Well, we got ourselves a story or two today.  There’s always action when you see Knight of Swords.  He is about change, about suddenly, about coming back or doing something again, about pursuing (or fleeing, sometimes), and about being in a big hurry, speeding.  He can mean a switch to the opposite (whatever).

So, what’s the action about?  Well, we have both ‘having it all’ in Nine of Cups and ‘losing it all’ in Five of Pentacles.  A total lack in one and a surplus or even surfeit in the other.  And right there is Knight of Swords meaning a change to an opposite state.  Since he can go either way, we could be talking about rags to riches, or riches to rags, either one – but more likely the happier state, because Nine of Cups is a powerful influence for good.

Nine of Cups often brings the word ‘wanting.’  So ‘wanting to be married’ is right there, with Four of Wands being marriage.  So is ‘wanting to be miserable’ with Five of Pentacles being miserable.  And wanting to get the heck out is Nine of Cups and Knight of Swords.  Not only is Nine of Cups ‘wanting’ but it suggests that the wish is granted, because ‘wish is granted’ is the core meaning of Nine of Cups.  It even means that in just about every other Tarot deck.

Now to Four of Wands.  It has a few more meanings than marriage.  It is the leading people of the town or group, and it means the sensible respectable people.  It means a house.  It means ‘everybody.’

Our message overall today is that things can change – in either direction – from best to worst, or from worst to best – with ‘our people’ being a factor in the change, whether ‘our people’ is a marriage we are in, or a family group.  We speak of wanting to change because we feel inferior, and wanting to change others when we feel dissatisfied with ourselves.

Knight of Swords:  Think of him as a catalyst.  There’s always action when you see Knight of Swords.  He is about change, about suddenly, about coming back or doing something again, about pursuing (or fleeing, sometimes), and about being in a big hurry, speeding.  He can mean a switch to the opposite (whatever).  You see a knight in full armor leaning over the neck of his speeding steed, sword outstretched.

Five of Pentacles A total lack, losing it all, numb with misery, Dark Night of the Soul, being or feeling drained of life and hope, being ‘out in the cold’ and emotionally deprived.  Or feeling that way.  Sometimes Five of Pentacles expresses that ‘poor me’ act, a martyred act, or the dark feeling of worthlessness clinical depression bequeaths.  It can also simply mean ‘a lack of’ in other contexts.  The illustration is a woman and child in rags, wounded and crippled, in freezing weather, not noticing that’s a church where they could stay and have a meal.

Four of Wands  It has a few more meanings than marriage.  It’s about your citizenship in your ‘herd.’  It is the influential people of the town or group, and it also means the sensible respectable people.  It means a house.  It means ‘everybody.’

Nine of Cups   is being satisfied plus some; it is having enough and to spare; it is having too much wine for the night.  It is about that safunsified feeling.  It often translates ‘wants.’  Not only is Nine of Cups ‘wanting’ but it suggests that the wish is granted, because ‘wish is granted’ is the core meaning of Nine of Cups.  It even means that in just about every other Tarot deck.  Nine of Cups is often a powerful influence for good.  He is welcome in our spread, especially as one of the Self cards.

I N S T R U C T I O N S & Explanations (Comments are below this.)

Did you come here just for your predictions?– If so, you are done when you finish reading the sentences of Group Analytical Tarot Cards Reading.

Each Tarot sentence is a literal-interpretation reading of the scenes pictured on the four cards you see. Only what each of the cards says – phrase by phrase – no fillers – no psychic ability used. The readings are about you and the people around you. They are about today and the days around it. Tarot, all by itself, talks to you. This is a demonstration of that .

Tarot will address any group flexibly, as it does here of ‘all the visitors.’ (It can addressall the people at work who have a say in my raise,’for instance, without you knowing who or where those people are.)

Horoscopes are group readings too.

Astrology has to be based on someone else’s birth data, though, so it does not solidly apply to you just because of where the sun was when you were born. (Astrologers know this.)

Emily wants to know whether these sentences are more accurate for regular visitors than for people who have come only a few times. Would you help with a comment, if that is who you are? Please?

Without a question to focus the answer, four cards can mean contradictory things, especially when the Spread has a card that means ‘no, never or not.’ That negative modifier can apply to any one of the cards.

Without a question also the pronouns (you, him, her, me, us, them, they, etc.) in a group reading are more flexible, especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads. When a pronoun is in parentheses, feel very free to substitute. Notice how, as much as possible, we drop pronouns, which makes for some awkward phrasing.

The question in a ‘real’ individual reading supplies at least half the information! In a ‘real’ reading, the parties are identified (including the gender of the questioner!), and so is the time frame if there is one. In this group reading, we cannot do that, so we have variety.

Do you want to know a little, or a lot, about how this Tarot Verbatim ™ thing works? If so,
