Ten of Cups Ten of Cups, as one of those what-you-see-is-what-you-get Rider Waite Tarot cards, is easy to apply. This is an anchor card: Its meanings are few and dependable. You see mama and papa embracing and the two kids, boy and girl, skipping for joy, and you even see a rainbow over their house in the suburbs on a corner lot. Happily ever after, Ten of Cups says, everyone getting along, being prosperous, being good people, and being married … married with children. The home life, home and family, the family gathering even. The good people, the good life. Happy, celebrating.

.

In Tarot Verbatim™ the three marriage cards also mean house and real estate, and groups of people or organizations of any size, including neighborhood, city, county, district, state, region, nation, and international. (Four of Wands is the other positive marriage card, and Ten of Pentacles is the negative one (negative unless the other two are already in the spread, in which case it may be promoted).

.

Nine of Cups Nine of Cups, we love you, you are the one we want to see. And you’re so easy to read, to apply: This is another anchor card of few and reliable interpretations. Nine of Cups is famous (in just about any deck) as Your Wish is Granted. Its most common translate is ‘want.’ It spans having enough, having plenty, and having too much. The picture of the fella who drank it all (the nine empties behind him) assumes he ate it all too, so Nine of Cups is the card for the feast.

.

But its focus is on the sort of good feeling you have when you ‘have it all.’ Words like these: happy, content, satisfied, enjoy, pleased, content, satisfied, safunsified, dream life, dream-come-true.

.

Nine of Cups’ shadow side is excess, greed, too much … and this is the card for your fat self.

Seven of Pentacles And here’s our third anchor card. Seven of Pentacles is for when you aren’t sure, you don’t know, you wonder, you ponder, you are puzzled, you think, you figure, you guess, you doubt, you contemplate and speculate. You have done your part – done everything called for in the situation, and you will not know until later whether the result is what you want it to be. (Notice how that ‘want it to be’ echoes Nine of Cups.) Seven of Pentacles will only know whether he has cucumbers when the plant’s blooms set fruit. Watch this card simply translate ‘if’ sometimes. ‘If you can,’ we say today. And phrases like ‘somehow or another.’ And don’t forget ‘maybe,’ one of its favorite words.

.

Like Page of Cups, Seven of Pentacles can form your sentence into a question, so you find a lot of our one-sentence readings ending in question marks. Sometimes, after a statement, Seven of Pentacles will add the rhetorical ‘aren’t we?’ or ‘doesn’t it?’

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

.. …..        ….

Ten of Cups and Nine of Cups have so much in common you have to be careful interpreting verbatim a sentence both appear in. Both are happy, content, prosperous, and satisfied. Of course Ten of Cups is more likely to be happy, and Nine of Cups is more likely to be satisfied.

.

Ten of Cups is about house, marriage, get-togethers, and community (any sort of human group) and Nine of Cups is not. Nine of Cups is about feasting, excess, being satisfied, being pleased and/or wanting to please, getting what you want, enough, gratitude, and having possessions or wealth as an individual, as Ten of Cups is not. ( Ten of Cups’ prosperity emphasizes the family or other group.) Nine of Cups and Ten of Cups together say ‘ I just want to be happy’ and also ‘I am happy with what I have.’ This should help you grasp the distinctions that are the difference in the two of them.

.

Ten of Cups and Nine of Cups both give you whatever makes you happy. Together they say unequivocally your dream comes true. Ten of Cups is having it all – happily ever after, life in the suburbs as one of the good people ( well-off people); Nine of Cups is also having what you want, wanting what you have, or wanting something.

.

And with all this joy and wealth, wouldn’t you know the remaining card casts doubt ( Seven of Pentacles)! So most of our readings are wondering about what Ten of Cups and Nine of Cups together mean. Most of our sentences are wondering about or guessing, contemplating or asking why, questioning or figuring out, not being sure and thinking about all those things that you enjoy, that make you happy, that satisfy you. ‘ Get married to the person you want and live happily ever after’ becomes ‘ What if’ and ‘ Will I’ do all those things.

Tarot Readings for You for November 18, 2013 Monday©

Guidance      You stand up to the dark side inside or outside yourself, you win.  The big announcement is:  Whatever the biggest problem is, this is where your luck is:  Push hard there and the cosmic vending machine will send what you select down the chute.  The same messages produce the idea of enjoying the challenge, the fight, with the dark side, with bullies of all stripes.  “Aren’t you pleased that you are standing up to the downside?” is my favorite.  Enjoy resisting cravings and addictions. Cowardly lion no more. Today is adventure, troops!

Are YOU here for the first time? Come in!

People love this place! Our site is divided into four sections: Guidance, Tarot Readings, Learn Tarot by Observation, and Learn Tarot by Pictures.
If you just want your daily look ahead, Guidance and Tarot Readings are all you need. ‘Guidance’ (above) is a summary of what the cards are telling visitors to be aware of this day.

‘Group Tarot Cards Reading’ (just below this) is the actual word-for-word messages from the pictures of the four cards you see – to everyone. Tarot Readings: Satisfaction About the Problem (Nine of Cups and Devil)

Whatever difficulty you are struggling with now, all of it goes your way.

I thought it was such a big problem, but when I raised hell, I got satisfaction.

Yes, the showdown was stressful, but you got your way, didn’t you?

Is it a problem for you to fight to get what you want?

If I could fight this craving, I would have the life I want.

I seem to get exactly what I want when I resist my dark side.

I guess I’m satisfied; I fought my devil and I won.

Tarot Readings: The Joy of Combat (Nine of Cups and Seven of Wands)

I seem to be struggling against what I really want like it’s the enemy.

Aren’t you pleased that you are standing up to the downside?

I thought I was defending myself, but now I want to get really vicious.

I think the worst part of the abuse I face is: I enjoy the challenge.

Do you really want to be in this nasty fight? You will win it.

What is this joy of battle I am feeling? – It’s addicting.

Maybe I really want to do some harm in this battle I find myself in.

Is he demanding his space like you’re his enemy? – let him have it, grant his wish.

I seem to enjoy getting in the bad guys’ face.

Why am I feeling so mean? – because I want to defend myself.

I will get what I want if I go face to face with the opponent. Am pondering this.

I think the worst that can happen would be:  I get to scream and holler.

Why do I consider getting in his ugly face with such satisfaction?

Does he really want to fight me when I’m PMSing … goood!

They won’t be so sure they want to fight when you fight dirty.

If it is evil we are fighting against, bring it on.

Tarot Readings: Pondering the Problems (Seven of Pentacles and Devil)

Is the worst part when I enjoyed his hissyfit?

I wished a bad thing on someone who seems to be confronted with it now.

Sooo, does he enjoy being an obnoxious deviate?

Does he really get satisfaction out of being aggressively rude?

He is such a pushy mouthy low-rent dude: Why do I want him?

Why does he enjoy harassing people when he is drunk/high?

So, am I ugly? – that is the last thing I want or will let happen.

I guess he wants it all and will do any lowdown thing to get it.

Now,  Part Two,

Do you want to know a little, or a lot, about how this Tarot Verbatim™ thing works? If so,

*Go to Learn Tarot by Observing section below. This tells about the combined four pictures in the Tarot Readings – the pictures above here.  It explains how these four cards get together in your mind to make the messages.

*Go to Learn Tarot by Pictures.  It is what each of the four cards, by itself, has to say.  It shows you how that illustration makes that card’s meanings in today’s Spread. All the words of each Tarot card reading you see here are a phrase-by-phrase translation of the scene pictured on those cards: no filler, no psychic impressions, no spirit guide. Word-for-word Tarot Verbatim™.

You can put all this together and intuitively see yourself how Tarot Verbatim™ works.

This is a group reading, with no Questioner and no Question to limit what the cards say, so there’s more variety – even contradictions – and also the pronouns are more flexible. If it feels like it’s yours, and it says ‘he,’ and you’re a ‘she,’ feel free to adopt it anyway.

Devil

Nine of Cups – Seven of Pentacles – Seven of Wands

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

.

Here we describe the awakening to the joy of combat of a soul who perhaps enjoys peace to the point of compromising. The joy of combat is Nine of Cups and Seven of Wands – Nine of Cups (enjoy, satisfaction) and Seven of Wands (to stand up for yourself).

Seven of Pentacles and Devil: The awakening is pondering (Seven of Pentacles) a bad situation or a problem person … or evil person, or an evil situation (Devil) …

Seven of Wands and Seven of Pentacles: … that is aggressively in your face (Seven of Wands), and asking yourself if (Seven of Pentacles) …

Nine of Cups and Seven of Wands: … you want to fight this (Seven of Wands). Notice that a sentence can use two different meanings of the same card sometimes: Seven of Wands is ‘in your face’ and is ‘fight this.’ That’s because Seven of Wands means both to be interfered with or invaded and to defend yourself against same.

Seven of Wands and Devil: Fighting your devil, you win. (Seven of Wands, fighting; Devil, your devil; Nine of Cups, you win.)

Seven of Pentacles and Nine of Cups: Then we describe the aftermath of the battle, the plaintive questioning and pondering (Seven of Pentacles) of ‘Did I really enjoy that fight?’ (Seven of Pentacles, ‘Did I,’ Nine of Cups, ‘really enjoy’ and Seven of Wands, that fight. Note that ‘Did I really enjoy that fight?’ uses the same two cards that mean the joy of combat, Nine of Cups and Seven of Wands.

Going back to Seven of Wands and Devil, these two cards can describe a knock-down drag-out fight involving defense against someone or something extreme, ugly, vicious or evil – including a bad habit or addiction.

= Did you notice that Devil and Seven of Wands both mean ‘obnoxious’? Devil means that directly and Seven of Wands is acting obnoxiously.

OTHER MEANINGS

Other meanings of Nine of Cups and Seven of Pentacles are: Is this really what you want? Enjoy speculating about something. What if I got what I am wishing for?

Seven of Wands and Seven of Pentacles also mean: Maybe I should stand up for myself. Is he really going to get in my face? Why is (he) so obnoxious?

Nine of Cups and Seven of Wands also mean: get between you and what you really want, want to fight or enjoy the fight, and fight for what you want. I enjoyed his hissyfit.

Seven of Pentacles and Devil also mean: Is it really that bad? Why is (he) so nasty? Am I ugly? Is that the worst part?

Seven of Wands and Devil also mean: confronted with a bad situation, fight my devil, defend myself against the bad guy(s), rude and obnoxious, a dirty fight, and get in my face when I’m PMSing.

LEARN TAROT BY PICTURES

.

Nine of Cups “Your wish is granted” is Nine of Cups in just about any self-respecting Tarot deck.  The illustration evokes that Thanksgiving ‘I et the whole thing’ feeling.  It shows a chubby fella with a big grin, the nine empty cups he drained on display. Nine of Cups also means greed, excess, consumerism, satiety, gluttony, pigging out … but not today. Today it speaks of enjoyment, of winning, and of wanting to.

Seven of Pentacles Hmmm.  That’s what it means, you know, ‘Hmmm.’  He is pondering and wondering whether his cucumbers will produce a crop, whether both genders of plant are present. Today it’s about ‘Did I really?’

Seven of Wands Mad as hell, he is, and in someone’s face demanding his space.  The mouthy pushy adolescent of any age and gender, obstreperous and obnoxious, intrusive and loud. But this Rider Waite Tarot card also embraces defending yourself, defending your position, defending a cause, as well as defending your space or turf.  So the ‘mad as hell and won’t take it anymore’ can be justified or not justified.  Illustration shows just that: someone defending his place from a number of intruders who intend to make it theirs.

Devil represents the concept that being attached to dark-side anything (things, people, substances, concepts, attitudes, feelings) is voluntary;  your chains are loose.  Devil also refers to fear, the enemy, the problem, nasty, ugly, rage, killing, hate, perversions, lust and the word ‘hideous.’ but it doesn’t have to be a ‘bad card’; it also can be about physical and about an attachment of one thing to another, like papers clipped together.

Advice We here equate having it all physically with having it all mentally,  focusing on the mental processes that might lead a person to the dream life.  Sometimes that mental life is the dream life,  an end in itself.  Ask Mr. Einstein,  who had no shoes.  Enlightenment comes before satisfaction with life.  If you keep doing the same thing,  realize that must be what you really want to do.  A silly idea can make you rich. (At the time of production,  there’s no way to correct the lack of spaces after punctuation.  I am writing around it now!) Is this the first time you come here?  Well … what to do:

*Go to Advice above which is a summary of the Messages.  (Advice is everyone’s favorite part.)

*Go to Group Analytical Tarot Reading below.  One or more of those sentences has something to say to you.  Intuitively pick those out.  They are about you and the people around you.  They are about today and the days around it.  (It is a group message like a horoscope,  except Tarot isn’t based on someone else’s birth data,  so it can be specific,  accurate,  detailed and direct.  Our experiment here is  “How much more accurate is it?”)

Did you come here for your predictions? –  You are done now –  See you tomorrow.

Without a question to focus the answer, f our cards can mean contradictory things especially when the Spread has a card that negates other cards.  Without a question also the pronouns in a group reading are more flexible,  especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads.  When a pronoun is in parentheses,  feel very free to substitute.  The question in a  ‘real’  individual reading supplies at least half the information!

Hanged Man Seven of Pentacles –  Nine of Cups –  Two of Pentacles GROUP ANALYTICAL TAROT READING Tell the visitors here something useful and meaningful to them.  Do you really want to know?  Doubts.  (Seven of Pentacles + Hanged Man) By golly,  I have been thinking about what it is I really want,  and I think I know now. There must be a process of enlightenment before you have satisfaction with life? Could not quite figure it out because I wasn’t so sure I wanted to. Not so sure I want to be enlightened … who knows what happens in the process? In the process of realizing you have doubts about what the good life really is. I might or might not want to know. In the Process of Dream Come True (Nine of Cups + Two of Pentacles) Hey,  I am in the process of getting rich,  but don’t understand it at all. It’s sure a silly idea that is making him rich. Recognize this is exactly what I dreamed of,  so why am I feeling queasy about it. What if I had it all figured out in a flash;  it might not be the life I want. Realizes that,  more than anything,  he/she just wants to rock the boat. Suddenly you know you will have it all,  you just don’t know the process. What does he know that I don’t?  –  he gets each and every thing that he wants. He seems to have one vision of the good life after another come true. If you keep doing the same thing,  realize that must be what you really want to do. Having the mental life you dream of means constantly questioning. Wondering is All I Really Wanna Do (Seven of Pentacles + Nine of Cups) Somehow or another,  what I want to know will come into my head. One vision after another must be all I really want. What if I had it all figured out?  –  I might or might not like that. I keep wondering about enlightenment:  I want that! I doubt my inspirations but I am glad they are continuing. That may be a brilliant idea;  I want to keep pondering it. Got the vision I want,  now what do I do with it? Is there anything so satisfying as a never-ending mental life? In the process of a major realization,  but why are you so pleased with it? Why are these mental gyrations so satisfying to me? Why does this mental turbulence make (me) so happy? Not sure what it is that I want but will keep at it until it occurs to me. Could not quite figure it out and then what I wanted to know struck me suddenly. What satisfies me is to keep pondering something until I get my answer. It strikes me that what I really want to do is just keep thinking about it. Suppose having one visionary inspiration after another is all I want? Miscellaneous Yeah,  he is accomplishing it,  but I think it is a goofy idea. It keeps occurring to you that this may not be the dream life after all. Realize I am doing the same thing over and over supposing it will pay off big. I have all one bright idea after another,  but somehow doubt they will make me rich. Now,  Part Two,

Do you want to know a little,  or a lot,  about how this Tarot Verbatim ™ thing works?  If so,

*Go to Meanings and Illustrations:  Individual Rider Waite Tarot Cards.  It is what each of the four cards,  by itself,  has to say.  It describes how that illustration makes that card’s meanings in this Spread.

You can put all this together and intuitively see yourself how Tarot Verbatim ™ works.

Say hello back!  Comment!  I spend two hours a day or more writing these to you.  Remember to share your experience about our experiment here if you have words for it.  Read others’ comments.

And you can call me at the 800 99 3 6 9 12 number from Eastern 1 p. m. to Eastern 1 a. m. at least, every day.  (3-6-9-12 like a clock.  It makes a pattern on the phone as well –  easy to remember.)  I analyze business situations and personal relationships accurately from both Tarot and practical perspectives,  and even make it fun.  (Testimonials are on the web site.  https://emilysinsight.com.)

Hanged Man Seven of Pentacles –  Nine of Cups –  Two of Pentacles MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS:  OBSERVATION OF THE SPREAD Three of our four Rider Waite Tarot cards refer to mental activity,  two meaning wondering and casting about,  and one meaning  ‘getting it.’  The other is Your Wish is Granted,  having it all.  Wealth seeking comes to mind immediately,  and so does really wanting to know or really wanting enlightenment.  “Realizing all I really wanna do is think about it forever”  was the very first thing I heard this spread say. So we are equating having it all physically with having it all mentally,  focusing on how it is a process.   MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS:  INDIVIDUAL RIDER WAITE TAROT CARDS Seven of Pentacles  “I wonder,  therefore I am,”  says Seven of Pentacles.  A grower ponders his cucumber patch speculating on whether both genders of the plant are here to produce cucumbers.  Musing like this suggests The Muse in this spread.   Nine of Cups You get whatever it is you want,  your wish is granted,  what you want,  the dream come true,  the good life,  wealth … illustrated by a chubby dude with a goofy grin and ten empty cups behind him on the mantel.   Two of Pentacles goes on and on,  whatever it is.  The motion may be in and out,  up and down,  ’round and  ’round … any old gyration will do.  The juggler’s plates have the math sign for eternal repetition connecting them,  and ships in the background are tossed on giant waves.  He is dressed in a comedic costume with a dunce cap.     Hanged Man In the process of catching on,  of getting it,   of realization and recognition,  we are temporarily out of it.  The eureka experience includes temporary disorientation.  So a fellow hung upside-down is the signature,  in all decks,  of Hanged Man. Our Daily Spread for November 18, 2011 Friday ©

Advice announces you will win if you stand up to the dark side inside or outside yourself.  The big announcement is:  Whatever the biggest problem is,  is where your luck is:  Push hard there and the cosmic vending machine will send what you select down the chute.

(At the time of production, there’s no way to correct the lack of spaces after punctuation.  I am writing around it now!)

Is this the first time you come here?  Well … what to do:

*Go to Advice above which is a summary of the Messages. (Advice is everyone’s favorite part.)

*Go to Daily Message Tarot Analysis below.

Without a question to focus the answer, four cards can mean contradictory things especially when the Spread has a card that negates other cards. Without a question also the pronouns in a group reading are more flexible, especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads. When a pronoun is in parentheses, feel very free to substitute. The question in a ‘real’ individual reading supplies at least half the information!

Devil

Nine of Cups  –  Seven of Pentacles  –  Seven of Wands

(All the cards show males,  but these messages apply to both genders.  I just went with  ‘he’  and  ‘him.’)

DAILY MESSAGE TAROT ANALYSIS  Tell the visitors here something useful and meaningful to them.

Problem-Resolved-Wonderfully Perspective (Nine of Cups + Devil)

Regarding whatever problem you are struggling with:  It goes your way,  all your way!

Wherever things are hardest for you,  push there for the best satisfying experience ever!

You thought you were facing a big problem but you got exactly what you wanted.

Well,  the showdown was a stressful experience,  wasn’t it?  –  but you got your way.

Can you fight for what you want and get it,  or is that a problem for you?

I believe you can fight that craving and have the life you want.

All you have to do is resist your evil side to be what you want to be,  you know?

I guess I fought my devil and won,  because I am satisfied with myself.

Struggle,  Combat,  Fight Perspective (Seven of Wands)

Do you really want this nasty fight?  –  you will win.

What is this joy of battle I am feeling?  –  It’s addicting.

Oh?  It wants to fight?  I’m feeling nasty!

Why am I feeling so mean?  –  because I want to defend myself?

Did I really get that wicked when I would not let him come in:  Yeah …!

Why do I consider getting directly in the face of the enemy with such satisfaction?

I think the worst that can happen would be:  I get him to scream and holler.

If you get in the bad guys’  face combatively,  you will get what you want.

He seems to be struggling against what he really wants like it’s the enemy.

Aren’t you pleased that you are standing up to the downside?

If it is evil we are fighting against,  bring it on!

Want to do harm in this battle now,  I guess.

I thought I was defending myself,  but now I want to get really vicious.

I will get what I want if I go face to face with the enemy.  Pondering this.

Well,  I thought I was defending myself … then I wanted to kill.

I guess if it’s a battle to the death,  I want it.

Is he demanding his space like you’re his enemy?  –  let him have it,  grant his wish.

I think the worst part of the abuse I face is:  enjoying the challenge.

Questions to Ponder Perspective (Seven of Pentacles)

Why does he get such satisfaction out of being aggressively rude and obnoxious?

He is such a pushy mouthy low-rent dude:  Why do I want him?

Why does he enjoy harassing people when he is drunk/high?

I guess he wants it all and will do any deviate and evil thing to get it.

I guess we gotta do something about those greedy evildoers.

Sooo,  does he enjoy being an obnoxious deviate?

Is the worst part when I enjoyed his hissyfit?

So,  am I ugly?  –  that is the last thing I want or will let happen.

I wished a bad thing on him,  I guess he is confronted with it now.

Devil

Nine of Cups  –  Seven of Pentacles  –  Seven of Wands

MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS:  OBSERVATION OF THE SPREAD

Wow!  This is different.  This was fun to type up,  quick too.  Starting with  “Your wish is granted,”  (Every deck I know of has this meaning for Nine of Cups.),  we go to Seven of Pentacles which is wondering and figuring things out,  pondering.

Then come two cards that  –  especially when combined  –  mean a knock-down,  drag-out battle involving defense and something extreme.  Now we got a story going!  –  some kind of nasty battle,  because Devil is  ‘most anything nasty,  ugly,  evil … you know,  a devil of a time?

I see this as an awakening to the joy of combat of a soul who valued peace to the point of cowardice.  Girls are like that a lot of the time,  those of us who aren’t overtly bloodthirsty?

MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS:  INDIVIDUAL RIDER WAITE TAROT CARDS

Nine of Cups,  as I said,  means  “Your wish is granted”  in just about any self-respecting Tarot deck.  The illustration evokes that Thanksgiving  ‘I et the whole thing’  feeling.  It shows a chubby fella with a big grin,  nine empty cups he drained.  Bet you can guess,  from the grin,  what was in them?  So Nine of Cups also means greed,  excess,  consumerism,  satiety,  gluttony,  pigging out … but not today.

Seven of Pentacles Hmmm.  That’s what it means,  you know,  ‘Hmmm.’  He is pondering and wondering whether his cucumbers will produce a crop,  whether both genders of plant are present.

Seven of Wands Mad as hell,  he is,  and in someone’s face demanding his space.  The mouthy pushy adolescent of any age and gender,  obstreperous and obnoxious,  intrusive and loud.  But this Rider Waite Tarot card also embraces defending yourself,  defending your position,  defending a cause,  defending your space or turf.  So the  ‘mad as hell and won’t take it anymore’  can be justified or not.  Illustration shows just that:  someone defending his place from a number of intruders who think it’s theirs.

Devil stands for the concept that being attached to dark-side anything (things,  people,  substances,  concepts,  attitudes,  feelings) is voluntary;  your chains are loose.

Advice suggests you can be too rich. When you have it all,  you have much to lose,  and when you are financially secure,  you worry about staying that way.  And what if your fears about the future come as true as your hopes about the future?  Worrying about having the good life,  say in a pension,  when you already have the good life.  Why are people who’ve got it all so unhappy?  Being the pillar of the community is scary. =========================================================================== Is this the first time you come here? Well … what to do:

The Question for weekdays is: “Tell the visitors here something useful and meaningful to them.”

The Question for weekends is stated right on top on those days,  if there is one.

*Go to Advice to apply what those sentences say for you. (Advice is everyone’s favorite part.) Did you come here for your predictions? – You are done now – See you tomorrow.

============================================================= Two of Wands Nine of Cups,  Seven of Pentacles,  Nine of Swords DAILY MESSAGE TAROT ANALYSIS Wonder why I am so worried my dream will come true. What if my fears about the future come true? When you’ve got it all,  you worry about keeping it. You wonder and worry about a secure future,  when you already have it. Now that he has all that money,  what is he going to do with it:  It keeps him up nights. Maybe I will get what I am afraid of. Anxious and uncertain about (his) pension giving (him) the good life. Why are people who’ve got it all so unhappy? Made all this money in real estate,  so should I be nervous? Is this what I really want, or will I be sorry? Is there cause for concern about me being satisfied with my future? Having too much financial security can be a nightmare. You wonder how awful it’s going to be,  the banker has all the money. He really wants to be a pillar of the community,  his hopes and fears are all about this. Fear and doubt make you want to be in control. Nervous about the plan to have it all – there’s always some doubt. All night I am/was up wondering how much money I will have having. ===================================================== Now,   Part Two,

================================================================= MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS:  OBSERVATION OF THE SPREAD So we have Nine of Cups,  you get whatever it is you want,  get your dream-come-true and Two of Wands,  financial security.  What could be better than THAT? Both mean a person who ‘has it all,’  and has it all to excess. Well, let’s throw in some major spoilers –  doubt about the outcome (Seven of Pentacles) and nightmare, worry,  up nights (Nine of Swords). What have you got?  You’ve got the insecurity people get who have it all,  who are too secure,  so secure the only place they have to go in a change is down the slope. MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS:   INDIVIDUAL RIDER WAITE TAROT CARDS Nine of Cups is your dream does come true,  you have it all,  you are satisfied and happy and rich.  It also can mean excess,  but not today.  Illustration is a fellow who has once again eaten and drunk it all,  has cups behind him to prove it. Seven of Cups is one of what I call the ‘Duh’  cards.  It means doubt,  doubt about the outcome,  uncertainty.  The fellow leans on his shovel wondering whether his plant will bear. Nine of Swords is the nightmare,  is ‘up nights,’  is upset, worrying,  anxious,  crying.  Illustration is a human sitting up in bed,  holding his or her head in the classic pose. Two of Wands is the real estate mogul who has it all.  He ‘has the world in his hands,’  literally,  in the illustration.  Pamela Coleman Smith’s sense of humor there? He stands on the finished roof of his tower (the highest building) looking over his real estate holdings down there,  and plans what he shall do with all that next.  He is the banker,  these days.
