Guidance   When a person is a mad hatter, we accommodate him or her, we understand, we bend the rules consistently for him or her. They get away with murder because they are impulsive and uninhibited. A person who doesn’t put up with the mad hatter’s ways is judged stringently, even harshly. Unless that person is another mad hatter. Go figure.

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

King of Wands is back; he belongs to someone. He is the Husband, you know. He is the impulsive, uninhibited party animal, the hothead and the hands-on man with the fists and the temper. He is also the workingman, the one who actually does the work (as opposed to planning and other talking about it).

Put him, King of Wands, next to Wheel of Fortune and you have the gambling man, the man who takes a chance, the man who has an opportunity. Also the miracle worker, the man who makes it happen. Hmmm, and the redneck fella around whom anything might happen.

Then there’s his ‘little woman,’ the sweet kind loyal lady who knows about her man, believes in him, admires and loves him. She is contemplating a funky artifact in her illustration in Rider Waite, so, in Tarot Verbatim, together with Wheel of Fortune, you have an invaluable artifact or artwork … and around King of Wands the ‘rough-natured’ artist who made it.

King of Wands + Queen of Cups is the country-boy and the Bible-Belt woman who ‘understands him.’ Or the abusive blowhard and his subdued counterpart.

Nine of Wands is stress and tension, guarding or protecting anyone (or a position). Nine of Wands is the tension and stress King of Wands is feeling: defensive, touchy, sweating it out but hanging in there.

LEARN TAROT BY PICTURES

King of Wands Impulsive, uninhibited party animal, hothead and hands-on man, borderline combative – sometimes with the fists and the temper. He is also the workingman, the one who actually does the work (as opposed to planning and other talk about it). Doesn’t have to be a country-boy: Stockbrokers can be touchy, raw and rude too … lawyers, whatever. Everybody should have a King of Wands friend.
Queen of Cups Sometimes she gets called the ‘little woman,’ the sweet kind loyal lady who knows about her man, believes in him, admires and loves him. She is dreamily contemplating a funky artifact in her illustration in Rider Waite, despite the flood snaking around her seat. This emotional woman is, yes, the counterpart of the King of Cups, but she attracts a guy like King of Wands who needs to be understood.
Wheel of Fortune Chances are, it’s all for the best. Luck makes it happen that way. Destiny is afoot. Winning at taking any kind of risk or chance. Making good money, especially in a lump sum or suddenly. Lucking out, like when my old-lady cat met the handsome young male kitten and claimed him on the spot as hers.
Nine of Wands Hang on, Snoopy. Hang in there, sweat it out, guard your position or your person. Fear, worry, nervousness, anxiety, stress, apprehension, looking over your shoulder. Taking a stand. The Wounded Warrior.

I N S T R U C T I O N S & Explanations (Comments are below this.)

Did you come here just for your predictions? – If so, you are done when you finish reading the sentences of Group Analytical Tarot Cards Reading.

Each Tarot sentence is a literal-interpretation reading of the scenes pictured on the four cards you see. Only what each of the cards says – phrase by phrase – no fillers – no psychic ability used. The readings are about you and the people around you.  They are about today and the days around it. Tarot, all by itself, talks to you. This is a demonstration of that .

Tarot will address any group flexibly, as it does here of ‘all the visitors.’ (It can address ‘all the people at work who have a say in my raise,’ for instance, without you knowing who or where those people are.)

Horoscopes are group readings too.

Astrology has to be based on someone else’s birth data, though, so it does not solidly apply to you just because of where the sun was when you were born. (Astrologers know this.)

Emily wants to know whether these sentences are more accurate for regular visitors than for people who have come only a few times. Would you help with a comment, if that is who you are? Please?

Without a question to focus the answer, four cards can mean contradictory things,  especially when the Spread has a card that means ‘no, never or not.’ That negative modifier can apply to any one of the cards.

Without a question also the pronouns (you, him, her, me, us, them, they, etc.) in a group reading are more flexible,  especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads.  When a pronoun is in parentheses, feel very free to substitute.  Notice how, as much as possible, we drop pronouns, which makes for some awkward phrasing.

The question in a ‘real’ individual reading supplies at least half the information! In a ‘real’ reading, the parties are identified (including the gender of the questioner!), and so is the time frame if there is one. In this group reading, we cannot do that, so we have variety.

Do you want to know a little, or a lot, about how this Tarot Verbatim ™ thing works? If so,

*Go to Learn Tarot by Observing. This tells the thinking regarding the combined four pictures in the Daily Spread –  the pictures above here.  It explains how these four cards get together in your mind to make the message.

*Go to Learn Tarot by the Pictures.  This is the meaning of each separate card.  This is how that illustration makes that card’s meanings in this Spread.

You can put all this together and intuitively see yourself how Tarot Verbatim ™ works. Regular visitors actually learn to read Tarot without trying. The Tarot Talks tab has some examples for students.

Our Daily Spread for Feb. 3, 2011

Rider-Waite Tarot 2-3-11

She knows she is being taken advantage of but isn’t worried

Death Five of Swords, Queen of Cups, Nine of Wands

She knows she is being taken advantage of but is not worried about it. She sees the end of her abuser making her uncomfortable or putting her in fear. She is going to take advantage and she isn’t anxious about that. She doesn’t know how to beat what is threatening her. She knows not to be anxious about the smart alec. She knows this punk is no threat to her. This spread is about a woman who isn’t going to be taken advantage of:  She knows how that is done, and she isn’t going to let it happen to her.  We suspect this is not her first time, but that is not mentioned in the cards.

Meanings and Illustrations:

First is the Five of Swords, that smart alec.  His smirk always reminds me of Cheney who used to be a vice president.  He takes advantage; he is the abuser.  This Rider Waite Tarot card also means to ‘beat’ something, as in  beating an addiction or turning the tables on your tormenter. Second is the Queen of Cups, the nice lady who knows or knows her man.  She is also considered the impractical dreamer, the poor sap who believes in goodness.  Yup, she is pictured as blond! Nine of Wands, the third occupant of our spread, is about worry –  being still on guard despite having lost a battle in that place.   Next to it is the card that negates, the Death card.  Love it when a negative shows up next to your bad dream, don’t you?  It shows someone who can’t relax, is tense.  The phrases it expresses here are:  worried, in fear, anxious, what is threatening. Death: not, the end, isn’t, doesn’t, not to be, no … to her.  The illustration shows the end of a king’s reign:  He is dead.  Other systems have different meanings than Tarot Verbatim’s for this Rider Waite Tarot card. Next spread.  (I did another because I thought this spread might not represent many of the visitors.  Comment, please, on this?

Rider-Waite Tarot Reading for 2-3-11

These women work together for the health of sufferers

Star Ten of Swords, Eight of Pentacles, Three of Cups

The team that works on the fiasco has a lot to say about it. A happy bunch of girls work together in Trauma. Celebrating and toasting the failure of this guy’s efforts. Kept trying when they failed and now they are celebrating together. Disappointment on the job, but morale makes them happy together. It crashes just when the employees are having the most fun A tale to tell, of when it crashed and those workers gave it their all. The girls work on news of the disasters. He keeps being crushed by news of his girl out partying with her friends. His job is to put a positive spin on the crash so they will all be happy. The report says the girls jointly fail to do this job. Steady effort under disastrous conditions give the workers cause to tell everyone We tell the world we are all happy at work on this wreck. In this job, failure is something to celebrate, is newsworthy. News of people who are happy to work together on this disaster. This team gets together at a disaster and works enthusiastically. The girls’ performance on the job was disastrous but they are happy. Well, well, we have two Tarot cards that mean to be happy and celebrate both of which show women, one card of work or steady effort, and one that means failure, disaster or crash.  Hmm.  How does this go together?  Let me count the ways.  I would love to know if one of these sentences applies to someone’s day or life.

Meanings and Illustrations:

Ten of  Swords means crash, suffering, a disaster:  It shows a person on the ground with ten swords in his back, so it means betrayal (stabbed in the back) too. Eight of Pentacles: This Rider Waite Tarot card gets around.  It is one of the cards that show up most frequently.  It mainly applies to work and workers and workplace, and to steady effort at one thing, or repetitively doing one thing.  It shows a carpenter making the same item over and over, one after the other. Three of Cups: The girls celebrate together.  They have pooled their resources and made a profit that they are happy together about, sharing it.  They are a team.  In this case they are a team at work, right next to the card that means work. Star: This is good news, enthusiasm, good health, telling all, feeling good.  It can be a performer – especially a singer. Note: Late once again. I would say that the second layout that Emily did in the very wee hours of the morning has validity here. LOL. While waiting, I went to a site I probably should  have thought twice about – Al Jazeera English. Don’t really know what happened  but it crashed my firefox big time. I spent about an hour trying to fix it and at some point fell asleep. Woke up with my glasses still on, sitting up in front of the computer with a cat in my lap. LOL!  I sure am glad this does not happen often. However, since the day is well under way, it would be interesting to see what applies to our visitors here – in retrospect – so post up!  :)  Stef
