Tarot Readings for You for December 4, 2013 Wednesday©

Guidance     Suggests that everything is always open to question; that a life philosophy of doubt regarding dogma in spirituality is appropriate. It says the street signs are hidden. It boils down to an odd way of saying ‘Keep an open mind.’ This concept is extended to what price to pay for physical items and to skepticism regarding what people say or claim. It leaves you with a head full of question marks and claims that is what should be there.

Are YOU here for the first time? Come in!

People love this place! Our site is divided into four sections: Guidance, Tarot Readings, Learn Tarot by Observation, and Learn Tarot by Pictures.
If you just want your daily look ahead, Guidance and Tarot Readings are all you need. ‘Guidance’ (above) is a summary of what the cards are telling visitors to be aware of this day.

‘Group Tarot Cards Reading’ (just below this) is the actual word-for-word messages from the pictures of the four cards you see – to everyone. These readings are about you and the people around you.  They are about today and the days around it. So, go ahead and pick the sentences you feel are yours and decide whether to encourage or reject them for yourself.

Did you come here for your predictions? – You are done now – See you tomorrow. The family of commenters here would love for you to join in (the very last thing, at the bottom).

Tarot Readings: Is this the Right Road? (Page of Cups and Ace of Pentacles)

.

Tarot Readings: Take/Pay a Little Less (Four of Pentacles and Ace of Pentacles)

How can that not be enough? That is the correct price.

How are we supposed to pay for it with that little money?

Feel awkward that I don’t have quite enough money to cover it.

I should get paid but maybe will take less.

We should be able to get it for less: Ask.

Maybe it’s not quite up to par, but it’s worth it.

Take a little less for the ordinary one, why not?

How can you give the church money you don’t have?

Is it okay to reduce the payments?

Is being moderately successful okay?

Why should I pay retail for what is inferior?

Keep quiet when they ask about the sticker price.

Tarot Readings: A Right Way and a Church Way (Hierophant and Ace of Pentacles)

Well, maybe (I’m) not quite right but I’m proper.

Not quite the moral thing but it’s the right thing.

Won’t admit my doubts about the church and the spiritual path.

I’m on the Right Path but not very religious.

I don’t know whether the church is quite right.

Clings to belief in the church but has doubts about that being right.

Tarot Readings: Questioning the Official Story (Page of Cups and Hierophant)

That’s not quite the official story but I suspect I’m right.

What if we are right and they have withheld what’s correct?

Somebody’s official story is blarney; I withhold approval.

Are we supposed to be quiet when they give us that cleaned-up version?

Tarot Reading:s Is this the Right Road? (Page of Cups and Ace of Pentacles)

Where is the road? – The signs are hidden.

Is that the right road or should we adhere/stick to the usual way?

Don’t tell (them) the correct road when (they) ask.

Now,  Part Two,

Do you want to know a little, or a lot, about how this Tarot Verbatim™ thing works? If so,

*Go to Learn Tarot by Observing section below. This tells about the combined four pictures in the Tarot Readings – the pictures above here.  It explains how these four cards get together in your mind to make the messages.

*Go to Learn Tarot by Pictures.  It is what each of the four cards, by itself, has to say.  It shows you how that illustration makes that card’s meanings in today’s Spread. All the words of each Tarot card reading you see here are a phrase-by-phrase translation of the scene pictured on those cards: no filler, no psychic impressions, no spirit guide. Word-for-word Tarot Verbatim™.

You can put all this together and intuitively see yourself how Tarot Verbatim™ works.

This is a group reading, with no Questioner and no Question to limit what the cards say, so there’s more variety – even contradictions – and also the pronouns are more flexible. If it feels like it’s yours, and it says ‘he,’ and you’re a ‘she,’ feel free to adopt it anyway.

Ace of Pentacles

Four of Pentacles – Page of Cups – Hierophant

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

.

Both Hierophant and Ace of Pentacles mean right and correct. Hierophant is the official story, the cleaned up version for the public, the way we present ourselves to our public. Face. In the same way, it also represents the way pubic entities present themselves to us, the public. “Hypocrisy is the homage vice renders to virtue,” say some wise person.

Ace of Pentacles means ‘The Right Path’ in the spiritual sense and also the right road and the right price in the practical sense. This is not one of those flexible cards; it an an anchor card.

Page of Cups, on the other hand, questions all that ‘right’ stuff. He questions everything. He represents the ‘Is that a silly idea, or what?’ feeling. He feels silly, himself. He is in a ‘duh’ groove.

Four of Pentacles is the flexible one of today’s Rider Waite Tarot citizens. Its meanings embrace these phrases: less, not up to par, reduce, keep quiet, won’t admit, not very or not quite, withheld or withhold, clings to belief, hidden, adhere or stick to, and don’t tell. He stands for deeply held but private feelings.

Four of Pentacles and Page of Cups question deeply held beliefs. They say ‘Are we to keep quiet’ about something. See some others at the end of this when all the combinations and some key phrases are listed.

Page of Cups and Hierophant are opposites. Page of Cups is the misfit, the maverick, the fellow with the lampshade on his head at the party. Hierophant is the conformist, the buttoned-up proper person.

With two of our cards meaning correctness in Tarot Verbatim™, one meaning doubt, , and one meaning internal private feelings , our sentences are limited to attitudes and feelings about what is proper or acceptable. Page of Cups underlines this with its suggestion to put our sentence in question form.

OKAY. Here are the key phrases for our six combinations of Rider Waite Tarot cards:

Four of Pentacles and Page of Cups Question deeply held beliefs. ‘Are we to keep quiet?’ Don’t tell them when they ask. Won’t admit my doubts. How can that not be enough? Feel awkward that I don’t have enough (money). How can that not be enough?

Four of Pentacles and Hierophant Not quite proper. Not quite the official story. Not quite the moral thing. Cling to belief in the church. Not very religious. The signs are hidden. Not quite up to par. Don’t tell (them) the correct.

Four of Pentacles and Ace of Pentacles Not quite right. Withheld what is correct. Reduce the payments. Don’t have the money. Pay for what is inferior. Pay for it with that little money. Money you don’t have. Get it for less.

Page of Cups and Hierophant Is that proper? Question the official story. Official story is blarney. Doubts about being right. ‘Is that correct?’ Maybe it’s up to par. Maybe it’s okay. Is that respectable? Is being moderately …? The maverick and the conformist. ‘Do I pass? – Do I fit in?’

I suspect I’m right. Is this the right road? Ask what road, ask the way to. Why pay? Ask about the price. Ridiculous price.

Proper and right. Pay retail. Correct price. Moderately successful. Should pay. Moderately successful. Enough money to cover it. Give the church money.

LEARN TAROT BY PICTURES

.

Four of Pentacles depicts a fellow holding onto his money. He sits in the street outside of town clutching his cash, hugging himself. He has some secret, the picture suggests. That is where the meanings about keeping quiet and not telling or not talking come from. The picture suggests stinginess, withholding. Four of Pentacles’ most frequent application is ‘not enough,’ in the senses of being inferior, being short of, less than, not quite, budget. Four of Pentacles also, since he is hugging himself and is all alone, means deeply held beliefs, something precious that one clings to, and ‘deep down inside,’ which expands to include internal organs in questions that involve that. P. S. He can be sulking, too!

Page of Cups The silly fellow with a fish in a cup, who is wearing a getup, could be a court jester. He stands for questions and doubts and feeling awkward and being, yes, a fool. He stands for “I don’t know.” The misfit. This is you when you go to a new place and everyone else is dressed differently from you. This is being the idiot.

Hierophant The official story or official reality. Also physical reality, ‘mundane,’ what we call ‘the real world,’ and the label or name … the papers or documents, or certificate. ‘Should’ and ‘supposed to’ are frequent phrases for Hierophant – what you are supposed to do and be and believe to fit in, to conform. Hierophant is being up to par: the passing grade, the middle class. Being a moral good respectable citizen.

The illustration here is the pope in a ceremony for the public. Hierophant contrasts the official public story or teachings with whatever the theologians, the people in the know, believe.

Ace of Pentacles also means ‘right.’ It is about a road and also the spiritual path. It is about money paid or received. Its illustration shows the Right Hand Path (metaphysics) or the Straight and Narrow Road (Christianity) or the Middle Way (Buddhism). Probably every religion uses this wording in some way. It shows a hand with money in it above the path: success is the result of being spiritual or observant.

Guidance    We are so used to the culture and the circumstances that formed who we are right now that we often don’t see the obvious. This day’s messages present different scenarios along this line. How one goofball can get rich with one idea. How on earth did you miss where your money was going? How you become some standard-issue idea of success and feel like a clown. Things like that.

Are YOU here for the first time?Come in! People love this place! Full instructions are at the bottom. Guidance and the Tarot Readings are for you if you just want your daily look ahead. Pick the sentences that you feel are yours and decide whether to encourage or reject them. Sentences contradict one another because negative cards, in this group reading with no question, can attach to any of the other three cards. Hanged Man

Ten of Swords – Ace of Pentacles – Page of Cups

GROUP ANALYTICAL TAROT CARDS READING Tell the visitors here something useful and meaningful to them.     Headings [So you can choose what fits you.] Tarot Readings: Success and Failure (Ten of Swords + Ace of Pentacles) Tarot Readings: Money (Ace of Pentacles) Tarot Readings: Right (Ace of Pentacles) Tarot Readings: Feeling Bad, Down, Pain and Suffering (Ten of Swords) Tarot Readings: Road ( Ace of Pentacles) Miscellaneous Tarot Readings   Tarot Readings: Success and Failure (Ten of Swords + Ace of Pentacles) Realizing … damn … would I have got all this if I had not dismally failed at all that? The ideas I get out of failures seem to bring me my successes. What works makes no sense; what makes sense doesn’t work. I clearly see the road to success, so why am I failing at it? An inspired madman successfully wrecks things. An inspiration to see the funny side whether you’re in good times or bad times. Don’t you just hate it when you see you are a success and you feel like a clown? You know how it’s suffering souls who are a success as comedians. Perception being skewed can lead to failure or success. One idea is a loser, and one idea is a winner. It looks like we hit bottom. Are things really going to be all right? Visualizing your doom, can you still succeed? I realize that whenever I suppose I failed, I have passed.   Tarot Readings: Money (Ace of Pentacles) Yeah, I know it’s a dumb idea, and we could lose; but if we win, we win a lot of money. As stupid an idea as it seems, going bankrupt is the way for you to have money. Intensely curious about making money off disasters. A goofball gets one idea and makes a lot of money … and I fail …. You know about a fool and his money coming to a bad end. Like an idiot I paid them, knowing they wrecked it. So how come psychics fail to be rich? The ideas I get out of failures seem to bring me my successes. You feel intensely you’re an idiot when you pay them money to lose money. How come I didn’t know I was losing all that money? A crushing realization: Where’s my money? It’s a crushing realization that idiots have all the money. So how can I make money off a crash? I know! As stupid an idea as it seems, going bankrupt is the way for you to have money. Mental suffering will get you an outlandish amount of money. Do you feel the money is worth the agony?   Tarot Readings: Right (Ace of Pentacles) It takes a trauma to get a fool like me on the right path: I see that. My visions are correct, and where’s this doomsday? The right thing to do about this goofball is: realize he wrecks things. I question whether my insight is right or wrong. The weird idea that if you are persecuted, you must be right. I’m so right when I remember how foolish I was, and it hurts. Am I really doing it right? I feel like I have screwed up. He thinks he’s right when he knows he wrecked. The weird idea that if you are persecuted, you must be right. Is my memory of falling down right? I doubt I’m right, I think I messed up One idea is a loser, the other is the right one.   Tarot Readings: Feeling Bad, Down, Pain and Suffering (Ten of Swords) You know how it’s suffering souls who are a success as comedians. You feel intense pain; is that right? I sense you are really down; are you okay? When you feel strongly that you are suffering for a good cause, you are a dummy. What’s so good about it if it makes you feel all that bad?   Tarot Readings: Road (Ace of Pentacles) Ask what road the wreck is on, so you know. This is an unfamiliar road, and I sense hazards. I think this road may be damaged.   Miscellaneous Tarot Readings The best use of a slip-up is to see the humor in it. Pain seems to be the price of enlightenment. Seems the idea of a wedding ring is shot down.

Hanged Man

Ten of Swords – Ace of Pentacles – Page of Cups

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING   Success. (Ace of Pentacles) Failure. (Ten of Swords) Question. (Page of Cups) Realize. (Hanged Man.)   Of these elements, is our story today.   Don’t we realize how strange it is to have ‘a vivid realization’ and ‘doubt and question’ juxtaposed between total degrading wipeout failure and soaring success?   This is what real life stories are made of. Have a feelin’ we could all fit these four together into our life stories in more than one place. . LEARN TAROT BY PICTURES   Ten of Pentacles Lying under a black sky face down on the bloody ground with ten swords in your back: This is failure. This is pain and suffering. This is feeling very bad, or is a suffering soul. Sometimes it is one of those dramatic martyred people we know, too.   Ace of Pentacles equates the straight life, being on the right path, with success and money. The hand with the gold in it over the ‘straight and narrow path’ (which most religions mention) is the Rider Waite illustration. In Tarot Verbatim, in means ‘yes,’ especially in the first-card Self position.   Page of Cups  A fellow dressed in women’s clothes, carrying a fish in a cup. Waves are behind him, for instability. Yes, this means ‘Huh?’ and weird and instructs the reader, often, to put the sentence into a question.   Hanged Man Your subconscious every once in a while kicks a whole idea onto the middle of the floor of your conscious, unceremoniously. You have that upside-down queasy hair-on-fire sensation as you realize – and that is Hanged Man’s keyword – something. Subconscious has noticed parallels and patterns, and has connected the dots and sent your brain a telegraph.             I N S T R U C T I O N S and Explanations (Comments are below this.)   Did you come here just for your predictions? – If so, you are done when you finish reading the sentences of Group Analytical Tarot Cards Reading. Each Tarot sentence is a literal-interpretation reading of the scenes pictured on the four cards you see. Only what each of the cards says – phrase by phrase – no fillers – no psychic ability used. The readings are about you and the people around you. They are about today and the days around it. Tarot, all by itself, talks to you. This is a demonstration of that . Tarot will address any group flexibly, as it does here of ‘all the visitors.’ (It can address ’all the people at work who have a say in my raise,’ for instance, without you knowing who or where those people are.) Horoscopes are group readings too. Astrology has to be based on someone else’s birth data, though, so it does not solidly apply to you just because of where the sun was when you were born. (Astrologers know this.) Emily wants to know whether these sentences are more accurate for regular visitors than for people who have come only a few times. Would you help with a comment, if that is who you are? Please? Without a question to focus the answer, four cards can mean contradictory things, especially when the Spread has a card that means ‘no, never or not.’ That negative modifier can apply to any one of the cards. Without a question also the pronouns (you, him, her, me, us, them, they, etc.) in a group reading are more flexible, especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads. When a pronoun is in parentheses, feel very free to substitute. Notice how, as much as possible, we drop pronouns, which makes for some awkward phrasing. The question in a ‘real’ individual reading supplies at least half the information! In a ‘real’ reading, the parties are identified (including the gender of the questioner!), and so is the time frame if there is one. In this group reading, we cannot do that, so we have variety.
