Tarot Readings for You for August 4, 2013 Sunday(c)

Guidance     We comment and speculate on this laid-back good-guy’s lifestyle. He is the boyfriend who isn’t fighting with her. He is the friend who doesn’t compete with other fellows. People don’t fight with him or around him, he is so laid back. Being agreeable on the genius level comes natural to him.

Instructions: Are YOU here for the first time? Come in! People love this place! Our site is divided into four sections: Guidance, Tarot Readings, Learn Tarot by Observation, and Learn Tarot by Pictures.

.
If you just want your daily look ahead, Guidance and Tarot Readings are all you need. ‘Guidance’ is a summary of what the cards are generally advising visitors to be aware of that day. ‘Tarot Readings’ is the actual word for word messages to everyone. So, go ahead and pick the sentences you feel are yours and decide whether to encourage or reject them for yourself. THEN, the family of commenters here would love for you to join in.

We don’t fight – maybe I am her boyfriend.

Maybe he isn’t my boyfriend because I try too hard.

He is so sweet but he doesn’t seem actively involved.

Boyfriend does not initiate any activity: goofy resistance!

You aren’t having those stupid fights with this Boyfriend.

He’s a lover and not a fighter; how about that?

How can he be so polite without even trying?

Will we quit fighting and make nice?

Boyfriend seems to have no energy.

Boyfriend speculates there’s no competition.

So, is this one being a good boyfriend and not fighting with her?

Is he trying hard to be sweet to you or not?

Tarot Readings: Speculations About a Fellow (Page of Cups and Knight of Cups)

He is such a softie … maybe he doesn’t exercise.

How can he/she be so polite without even trying?

He is so easygoing, he seems to have no energy.

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

Today we have not only the Great Negator (Death) doing its function but also one Tarot card about being nice (Knight of Cups) and another about being quarrelsome or fighting (Five of Wands). But these are ways we often feel about someone we are dating, aren’t they?

We have stories today, and comments about a fellow’s personal style. Elements of our saga here are:

Page of Cups calls something into question, puts the sentence into question form, means something is silly, goofy, stupid or stupid-looking, describes feeling awkward, or feeling weird like you have made a fool of yourself. He is inappropriately dressed, and the card can be about that ‘out of place’ or ‘out of my element’ sensation. Page of Cups is one of the ‘duh’ cards, often meaning ‘Huh?’

Five of Wands means fighting or quarreling, any level of resistance, activity, being actively involved, energetic, competition, and sports. You see five fellows jousting with logs in the illustration.

Knight of Cups is the friendly nice guy who can sell you anything, the boyfriend, accepting, suggesting, offering, being agreeable and making peace; he is not aggressive but diplomatic. Pictured is a fellow with a hand out offering the cup of friendship, the wings of Mercury on his helmet. His merry-go-round horse is standing still, looking down.

Then comes the Great Negator, Death, peppering negative modifiers into all this!

So our story is speculation about a boyfriend or good guy and activity relating to that.

Page of Cups has behavior that you don’t make sense of, that causes you to speculate. The idea is illustrated in Rider Waite by a simple-looking fellow wearing a dress and carrying a fish around in his Cup. Page of Cups is one of the ‘duh’ cards, often meaning ‘Huh?’

Five of Wands means fighting or quarreling, any level of resistance, activity, being actively involved, energetic, competition, conflict, and sports. You see five fellows jousting with logs in the illustration in Rider Waite.

Knight of Cups is the friendly nice guy who can sell you anything, the warm puppy boyfriend, the fellow who takes the initiative to connect with you, accepting, suggesting, offering, being agreeable and making peace; he is not aggressive but diplomatic. Pictured is a fellow with a hand out offering the cup of friendship, the wings of Mercury on his helmet. His merry-go-round horse is standing still, looking down. The artwork is done in pastel colors and curved lines – good artist!

Death is no, never, not, end – any negative word. Death peppers negative modifiers into the sentences. It does so indiscriminately in our four-card spread since its cards apply to one another equally. When Death is limited to just one card it is paired with in that spread (arms of the cross in Celtic Cross, say), that limits its effect. When it is in a designated parking spot like ‘future’ or ‘past’ or ‘self,’ etc. that, too, limits its effect. Here, it is bird-shot, potentially affecting everyone around it.

EXPLANATIONS: [Use the arrow at lower right to skip this and go to Comments.]

All the words of each Tarot card reading you see here are a phrase-by-phrase translation of the scene pictured on those cards: no filler, no psychic impressions, no spirit guide. Word-for-word Tarot Verbatim(TM).

In these group readings, there’s no question (and no Questioner) to limit what the four cards can mean, so they can mean opposite things.

When there is a negative-meaning card (a ‘negator,’ I call them), the readings contradict one another because that card can make any of the other cards in the spread negative. Negator cards mean things like: no, never, not, end, can’t, etc. Never be queasy about the number of ‘bad’ card because it takes two bad cards to say ‘not dead’ and only one to say ‘dead.’

Without a question or a Questioner, pronouns (I, you, he, she, we, they, etc.) are very flexible. I leave out pronouns in writing this as much as possible – awkward to do that sometimes. When I put them in parentheses, feel very free to change them around to suit yourself.

Now in a ‘real’ individual reading, the questioner asks a specific question which provides at least half the information! In an individual’s reading, the parties are identified and sometimes a time frame is too. Here, in a group reading, we cannot do that and so we get more variety of sentences.

Horoscopes are group readings, too. Astrology is based on someone else’s birth data, though, so a ‘solar’ group horoscope never really solidly applies to you! (Astrologers want you to know this!)

Tarot successfully addresses the group of visitors, whoever they are. It provides useful information that applies to their daily lives: They tell you this in the comments, for three years now. Tarot can tell you things about people you don’t know personally – such as whoever on your job has a say in your raise or continued employment there, whether that is one person or many. Visitors report that the information is equally accurate for new visitors as it is for the family of regular visitors.

Do you want to read Rider Waite Tarot, yourself? Start with Learn Tarot by Pictures to get the day’s cards’ individual meanings; then read Learn Tarot by Observation, which gives you the thinking those four cards inspire in a qualified reader. Next, Group Analytical Tarot Cards Reading is the various things those four cards can say (without a question to guide them). Then, Guidance is a summary.

In this way, your intuition allows you to learn to read the cards without much effort if you come often enough. Regular visitors can just put it together.

Advice is a lot of speculation and questions about a boyfriend or a good guy and activity relating to that. Today’s messages are very contradictory because we have not only the Great Negator (Death) doing its function but also one Tarot card about being nice and another about being quarrelsome or fighting. But that is the way we often feel about someone we are dating, isn’t it?

===================================================================================

Is this the first time you come here? Well … what to do:

*Go to Daily Message Tarot Analysis below. At least one of those sentences has something to say to you. Pick those out. They are about you and the people around you. They are about today and the days around it. (It is a group message like a horoscope, except Tarot isn’t based on someone else’s birth data, so it can be specific, accurate, detailed and direct. Our experiment here is “How much more accurate is it?”)

*Go to Advice to apply what those sentences say (in the best way) for you. (Advice is everyone’s favorite part.) Did you come here for your predictions? – You are done now – See you tomorrow.

The Question for weekdays is: “Tell the visitors here something useful and meaningful to them. The Question for weekends is stated right on top on those days. (Some days are ‘keep an eye open for’ and some days are ‘green light, go fast.’)

Without a question to focus the answer, four cards can mean contradictory things especially when the Spread has a card that negates other cards. Without a question also the pronouns in a group reading are more flexible, especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads. When a pronoun is in parentheses, feel very free to substitute. The question in a ‘real’ individual reading supplies at least half the information!

MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS: OBSERVATION OF THE SPREAD

Elements of our saga here are:

Five of Wands, activity, fighting or quarreling;

Knight of Cups, being agreeable and making peace;

Page of Cups, ‘Huh?’ or ‘Duh.’ and being or feeling weird, a question mark, goofiness. Then comes the Great Negator, Death, peppering negative modifiers into all this!

So our story is speculation about a boyfriend or good guy and activity relating to that. It is complicated by the fact that Five of Wands means any level of fighting or resistance AND Death negates any of the ideas. So, expect contradictions in this kind of layout.

MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS: INDIVIDUAL RIDER WAITE TAROT CARDS

Page of Cups has behavior that you don’t make sense of, that causes you to speculate. It begs the sentence to be put in question form. So we get ‘Is Boyfriend ___?’ a lot. The idea is illustrated in Rider Waite by a simple-looking fellow wearing a dress and carrying a fish around in his Cup.

Five of Wands is activity, conflict, fighting, quarreling, violence, competition, energy, illustrated in Rider Waite by five guys whacking one another with boards energetically.

Knight of Cups is the Boyfriend, the good guy or nice guy, the friendly warm puppy sort of a guy who takes the initiative to show affection. The artwork is done in pastel colors and curved lines – good artist!

Death is no, never, not, end – any negative word. It is a booger in a spread like this where the card citizens equally apply to one another in any order. On, say, ‘the arms of the cross’ positions, where the cards are paired, it would apply only to one of the other cards and would be either in a ‘past’ position or a future, ahead, position, which would limit its application.
