Remembers this as the day he overcame making trouble in peoples lives and was helpful instead. He knows he loves the kind of woman who can handle troubled lives/troublemakers. She is the assertive type; she can handle the whole family. Sees these are low class mean people and gets them to be civilized. She influences him to accept himself baggage and all. He feels she can get him to be a nice person when he is really one of those troublemakers/mixed-up people/gang members. Her idea is to help him accept the problems he is having with them (the neighbors, the family, etc.). He loves her for the way she makes him be sweet to her and his screwed-up family. He sees how it is her influence on him that is causing him to be polite to and accept THOSE people.
