Page of Wands Page of Wands is being good-looking, and looking good, and being in good shape. He speaks well, is dressed well, and is proud of himself. This is the young man whose mother is proud of him, and this is the Prince Charming the girls are looking for. (He is proud of himself too.) Watch him show up as the bachelor … Bachelor Number One today. Page of Wands is respectable; he conforms; he fits in. Page of Wands is you being your best self.

.

Remember this is the card (along with Hierophant) for being a type of person (usually a good-guy type, unless another card specifies differently).

.

Page of Wands also means to speak up, to declare, to speak, tell, say, discuss – any word of that theme.

Ten of SwordsYou can call them uh-oh cards, as your heart skips a beat and your eyes dart to the surrounding cards for a negator to take the edge off them. You know it means betrayal (stabbed in the back), trauma, suffering, maybe even death, murder or assault. But it commonly means fail and fail to and failure, and hitting bottom or feeling low.

.

Ten of Swords is more likely to refer to that feeling of disappointment or devastation about mundane daily events we encounter. It often translates words like: miserable, awful, going through hell, done wrong, double-cross, disappointment, being down or feeling bad, getting hurt or getting hurt feelings, failing, pitfall, traumatized, done you wrong, fiasco, bankruptcy, market crash, and all sorts of loss.

Nine of Cups Glad, happy, satisfied or safunsified, got what I want, grateful – enough and too much. Profit, benefit, and serendipity. Nine of Cups is feeling good about your ship coming in. Today that feeling comes out as ‘music to my ears,’ because Nine of Cups knows some slang. Nine of Cups also translates what you want – and that can apply to anything at all, including being as well as having. With Page of Wands today, ‘I am the person I want to be.’

.

The closest Nine of Cups can come to not being a wonderful find is when it means ‘too much’ or excess.

.. …..      …..

August 2, 2012 has these cards plus Knight of Wands, for those of you who would like to study what effect an added (or subtracted) card has on the meaning of a spread.

.

Page of Wands is who you are, and Nine of Cups is having what you want, so these two get together to say ‘being the person I want to be.’ Or substitute any pronoun or a person’s name.

.

Page of Wands is that fine fellow, and Nine of Cups is getting … and Ten of Swords is being hurt or disappointed. So here’s the old story of getting that fine-looking person you crave, and it doesn’t work out, so your feelings are hurt.

.

But there’s an even better good story here. Ten of Swords is hitting bottom and being devastated, and we put Page of Wands together with Nine of Cups to say ‘being the person I want to be.’ So this story is about hitting bottom and becoming your best self – the person you want to be.

.

And in a similar vein on a more mundane level, Nine of Cups is having money or being rich, and Ten of Swords is a loss or a financial crash, and Page of Wands is being in good shape. The story here is capitalizing financially on a failure or loss or crash.

.

So our overall message is about finding the gem on the bottom when you hit there – the financial gem or the personal gem of any sort.

Tarot Readings for You for March 18, 2015 Wednesday©

GUIDANCE    You know those times when a word, or a mention, becomes an epiphany? – and you go on from there. You follow the long strings of that one thought. It roots and grows in your psyche, and you are liking the trip and the result. The same process happens when you decide within yourself you want to purchase a certain trait, or be a certain way, and you set your intention in that direction, and accomplish the desired result. The first way is more fun, I think – inspiration is always a good vehicle to enjoy life. So Who do you want to be next? – and how would you like to get there? We are ALL about that today!

.

Are YOU here for the first time?   Come in!

People love this place! Our site is divided into four sections: Guidance, Tarot Readings, Learn Tarot by Observation, and Learn Tarot by Pictures.
If you just want your daily look ahead, Guidance and Tarot Readings are all you need. ‘Guidance’ (above) is a summary of what the cards are telling visitors to be aware of this day.

‘Group Tarot Cards Reading’ (just below this) is the actual word-for-word messages from the pictures of the three cards you see – to everyone. These readings are about you and the people around you.  They are about today and the days around it. So, go ahead and pick the sentences you feel are yours and decide whether to encourage or reject them for yourself.

Tarot Readings: The New You (Judgment and Page of Wands)

Who do you want to be next?

We reinvent ourselves as we choose.

A new perspective: being content with me.

Here to tell you that you are as young as you want to be.

Tell them what you want – speak up.

I want to be young again.

You want to start over with a new image.

Suddenly I just want to be who I am.

This is your reminder to be who you want to be.

Your body wants to recover – talk to it.

To be an honest person, you want to change.

Talking myself into being the better person I want to be.

I want to make a difference; I stand for that.

..…..

Tarot Readings: Told the News, An Epiphany (Judgment and Page of Wands)

You are told the good news, and you are pleased.

Grateful you were told something – it is an epiphany.

Tell them about how to have the new life we all want.

 .

Now, Part Two,

Do you want to know a little, or a lot, about how this Tarot Verbatim™ thing works? If so,

*Go to Learn Tarot by Observing section below. This tells about the combined meanings of the three cards in the pictures in the Tarot Readings.  It explains how these cards get together in your mind to make the messages. HERE ARE PHRASES FOR ALL THREE 2-CARD COMBINATIONS is a stream-of-consciousness bridge to your subconscious if you use it regularly – people report.

*Go to Learn Tarot by Pictures.  It is what each of the cards, by itself, has to say.  It shows you how that illustration makes that card’s meanings in today’s Spread. All the words of each Tarot card reading you see here are a phrase-by-phrase translation of the scene pictured on those cards: no filler, no psychic impressions, no spirit guide. Word-for-word Tarot Verbatim™.

You can put all this together and intuitively see yourself how Tarot Verbatim™ works.

This is a group reading, with no Questioner and no Question to limit what the cards say, so there’s more variety – even contradictions – than a personal reading would give you. Also, pronouns are flexible: If the sentence feels like it’s yours, and it says ‘he,’ but you’re a ‘she,’ well, it’s yours.

*AND if you write names of any two cards into the Google search bar, it will give you meanings of those!

Judgment – Page of Wands – Nine of Cups

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

.

………………………     Judgment is change, and Judgment is New. Page of Wands is the person and the image. Talk, speak up, say and announce are meanings of both Judgment and Page of Wands too. The other card is Nine of Cups: getting what you want. So we are talking ourselves into being the new person we want to be.

………………………..   Judgment There’s an angel doing his job waking my ashes up with the big noise of his horn. This is about big changes, changes for the better, returning to what was (being alive), big news, waking up, epiphany and revelation – and most of all about new life. Today we concentrate on the change for the better, the new life, the new self, and the new image because Page of Wands is self and image, and because Nine of Cups definitely means ‘for the best,’ not just the better. Today Judgment offers us new and better life, new and better usses.

………………………..   Page of Wands is The Good Guy. Page of Wands is ‘best foot forward.’ Page of Wands, therefore, is the best you, your best self. With Nine of Cups, the best self you want to be. With Judgment, the new and better self. Chapter Two: Page of Wands is speaking, words, language, presentation, spokesperson and identity. Page of Wands is who you are too. Besides all that, there’s an ideal (well-dressed, well-spoken handsome good guy) to Page of Wands that makes him, ta-DA, Prince Charming – or makes you the very best version of yourself you can be right now. Stereotype, when Page of Wands represents an individual, is a young man who is doing his best to impress others with his worth.

Well, Page of Wands also is the physical body. Pay attention to this: This card appears for ‘being in good shape’ and being, of course, in good health. Judgment and Page of Wands actually suggest telling your body to rejuvenate, to be at its best.

………………………..   Nine of Cups has had a few and is feelin’ pretty good … got a buzz on, and you can feel that in its meanings. Enjoying life, being happy and content, got everything I want, everything’s all right. Nine of Cups often brings forth phrases about what a person wants, but even then there’s an implication that it’s not only reachable but is low-hanging fruit on the tree of life.

We reinvent ourselves as and if we choose. This morphing happens with or without our volition. So we can use a template, choose a model, or dream of who we want to be next … and get there … or we can let nature take its course. Either way, we are content with who we are right now. You can be as young as you want to be, and as honest as you want to be – you just have to talk to your real self, your subconscious self, about the whole thing. Pick up the phone now.

.

Now we show where each of the phrases in each of the sentences comes from:

Judgment .………. Judgment is one of those totally welcome, totally positive cards whose key meaning is new life, awakening, and good news. It has other less important applications, like the loud noise, but today, in its present company, those meanings are what Judgment is saying … and, it does mean ‘saying.’

.

Page of Wands …………. Page of Wands is your best self, and is a handsome young man (if that is different). Page of Wands is talking, or being the one who speaks for, or being the one who speaks up. He is famous for being well-dressed, well-spoken, well-mannered, and well. Page of Wands is being in good shape (which could refer to your car, by the way – doesn’t have to be a person, or even be a living thing).

.

Nine of Cups ………….  Nine of Cups, we put the welcome mat out for. Nine of Cups is having it your way and having what you want; is being content, satisfied, glad and happy. It is what you want. And even when it means ‘want,’ the fact this is the card that said that infers you will be satisfied with whatever it is.

Guidance     “To be the best person, the person he wants to be, he decides to split with some associate.” That split could even be a divorce.   We are looking today into how the people we know get along or interact with one another, and what we may choose to do regarding that.  If one associate harms our reputation with someone who is in our VIP category, hmmm, we may choose to create a distance there.   If our friend is received at our work with open arms, well, he or she will go to the office party with us.

Are YOU here for the first time? Come in!

People love this place! Our site is divided into four sections: Guidance, Tarot Readings, Learn Tarot by Observation, and Learn Tarot by Pictures.

.
If you just want your daily look ahead, Guidance and Tarot Readings are all you need. ‘Guidance’ (above) is a summary of what the cards are telling visitors to be aware of this day.

‘Group Tarot Cards Reading’ (just below this) is the actual word-for-word messages to everyone. These readings are about you and the people around you.  They are about today and the days around it. So, go ahead and pick the sentences you feel are yours and decide whether to encourage or reject them for yourself.

Did you come here for your predictions? –  You are done now –  See you tomorrow. The family of commenters here would love for you to join in (the very last, at the bottom).

Now,  Part Two,

Do you want to know a little, or a lot, about how this Tarot Verbatim™ thing works? If so,

*Go to Learn Tarot by Observing section below. This tells about the combined four pictures in the Tarot Readings – the pictures above here.  It explains how these four cards get together in your mind to make the messages.

*Go to Learn Tarot by the Pictures.  It is what each of the four cards, by itself, has to say.

This is a group reading, with no Questioner and no Question to limit what the cards say, so there’s more variety – even contradictions – and also the pronouns are more flexible. If it feels like it’s yours, and it says ‘he,’ and you’re a ‘she,’ feel free to adopt it anyway.

Nine of Cups
Chariot, Three of Swords, Page of Wands

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

.

Chariot and Page of Wands and Nine of Cups are about success. That’s Chariot’s main meaning – getting that mission accomplished. Page of Wands is the good looking well dressed fellow with great prospects. Nine of Cups has everything he or she wants. Chariot and Page of Wands are both solid people who are respectable and successful.

Three of Swords is a spoiler (Imagine that.) here. It means to separate yourself from someone or something, dissociate, divorce, reject. It means adversity and hostility and to be against something or someone – even to hate.

LEARN TAROT BY PICTURES

.

Chariot has arrived, has a skill and is expert at using it for a purpose, so he is ‘going places.’ Chariot is a strategist who does what it takes to arrive at the place he wants to be. You can see how he is going to drive those steeds with nothing but his wand there. We know people like this, don’t we? Let’s be friends with them.

Three of Swords is when everything is going against, is the time of quarreling and separation, is adversity and hostility, is being in the wrong company, the wrong setting for you. The illustration is forthright: Gray clouds and rain storm behind a heart pierced with the three swords. Been there too, haven’t you?

Page of Wands
is the fellow with, as my daddy used to say, the clean nose. He is the ‘fair haired boy’ cliche. He is the well-dressed well-spoken fellow who plays tennis. He talks you into things. His daddy is successful, don’t you think?

Nine of Cups is having it all. Every time I see the illustration on it – of the pudgy fellow with the besotted look and the ten cups on the mantle – I think of the saying “I can’t believe I ate the whole thing.” It can simply mean to what, or what someone wants. It can also be about excess.

Tarot Readings for You for July 23, 2013 Tuesday(c)

Guidance     We narrow our audience today to people who seek to be an authority, a leader. We are telling how to get there, and the advice is somewhat one-sided – limited to respectable pursuits. We all know that leaders are often on the other side of that, in real life. Find the person who is who you want to be, walk that walk, talk that talk, dress and present yourself like that person. Speak with authority right now if you seek to be an authority. Be personable, sane, respectable. People come to you and want to please you when you are up-and-coming. Live the profile, we say.

Tarot Talks: Be Who You Want to Be (Page of Wands and Nine of Cups)

Go talk to the person who does have what would make you happy, and be that person.

Seek what you want the most and be hardnosed about it.

Look at the fact of who you are and what it is you want, and be stern with yourself about how to get there.

Find the strong man you want to be, and watch what he says and how he presents himself.

There is a leader in whatever it is you want. Listen to how he or she talks, and watch.

Find, and be, the person who has achieved the same thing you want.

If you seek leadership, having the look will get you that.

If you are young and wanting wisdom, be very disciplined.

He gets satisfaction in life by by being strong, honest and knowing.

Be attractive to others, and they will come and help you be the manly man you want to be.

Be attractive to others, act the leadership role, and they will come to help you with whatever you want.

Personal authority is yours when your image is sober and not sexual.

Decisively own the look of what you want to be, speak that way, and it will come to you.

Tarot Readings: If you Want to Be a Leader (Nine of Cups and King of Swords)

Knowing who I want to be gives me the strength to be it.

It’s a fact that you are the best authority on who you want to be.

If you want to be a leader, just look strong and know things.

Seek to be the kind of person who has the strength and discipline to get what you are wanting.

.

Here’s another Johnny-one-note layout. It’s obviously about wanting to be a leader, and advice how to do it. It tends to sound preachy; I have toned that down to the best of my ability.

Page of Wands, the first of our tablemates at Tarot Table here is about image, having a good reputation or image, looking good and looking the part, being well-dressed, well-spoken, well-intentioned and even proud of yourself.

Next chair is occupied by Nine of Cups – getting exactly what you want, what satisfies you and makes you content.

Then comes Hermit, the one who is seeking, a person who knows and who brings the solution, who helps. Mainly, today, Hermit is watching, observing the scene regarding what he is seeking. One of his attributes is sobriety, chastity, etc., since he is a monk.

And then above (Where else?) we have the leader, the strong man, the person who is disciplined – the hardassed and hardnosed hard-driven man, even the militant man.

Page of Wands and Hermit are both honest men.

Page of Wands and King of Swords have an image that influences people in a good way.

LEARN TAROT BY PICTURES

Page of Wands is the attractive person (male or female) who others pay attention to and think well of. He means to stand for something (anything – see surrounding card or cards), to stand up, to speak up, to stand for. He is dressed for success, a bit foppish even, and is speaking, head tilted back, his hands high on the big stick he carries, looking very attractive, even looking cute. This card often means to speak.

Nine of Cups has whatever he or she wants, and is mighty satisfied – has that “I ate and drank it all” look. I swear he is burping! This is a card with few meanings, is emphatic about those meanings, and is therefore an anchor card. You drool over it showing up as one of the Self cards. It’s the ‘Your wish is granted’ card.

Hermit Today Hermit is the observer, is looking at. He seeks, knows, helps and comes to (whoever/wherever). He is out looking for travelers on the road who need his help. He has a light in the darkness. As a monk, he stands for sobriety, service and chastity.

King of Swords is the authority, the leader, the man (or person) with authority, who has the say, the commander – is militant or military or police. He has that stern Germanic look and posture, and easily holds that heavy sword aloft in a very casual way: He is used to authority, no challenge. He is often police or military.

EXPLANATIONS: [Use the arrow at lower right to skip this and go to Comments.]

All the words of each Tarot card reading you see here are a phrase-by-phrase translation of the scene pictured on those cards: no filler, no psychic impressions, no spirit guide. Word-for-word Tarot Verbatim(TM).

In these group readings, there’s no question (and no Questioner) to limit what the four cards can mean, so they can mean opposite things.

When there is a negative-meaning card (a ‘negator,’ I call them), the readings contradict one another because that card can make any of the other cards in the spread negative. Negator cards mean things like: no, never, not, end, can’t, etc. Never be queasy about the number of ‘bad’ card because it takes two bad cards to say ‘not dead’ and only one to say ‘dead.’

Without a question or a Questioner, pronouns (I, you, he, she, we, they, etc.) are very flexible. I leave out pronouns in writing this as much as possible – awkward to do that sometimes. When I put them in parentheses, feel very free to change them around to suit yourself.

Now in a ‘real’ individual reading, the questioner asks a specific question which provides at least half the information! In an individual’s reading, the parties are identified and sometimes a time frame is too. Here, in a group reading, we cannot do that and so we get more variety of sentences.

Horoscopes are group readings, too. Astrology is based on someone else’s birth data, though, so a ‘solar’ group horoscope never really solidly applies to you! (Astrologers want you to know this!)

Tarot successfully addresses the group of visitors, whoever they are. It provides useful information that applies to their daily lives: They tell you this in the comments, for three years now. Tarot can tell you things about people you don’t know personally – such as whoever on your job has a say in your raise or continued employment there, whether that is one person or many. Visitors report that the information is equally accurate for new visitors as it is for the family of regular visitors.

Do you want to read Rider Waite Tarot, yourself? Start with Learn Tarot by Pictures to get the day’s cards’ individual meanings; then read Learn Tarot by Observation, which gives you the thinking those four cards inspire in a qualified reader. Next, Group Analytical Tarot Cards Reading is the various things those four cards can say (without a question to guide them). Then, Guidance is a summary.

In this way, your intuition allows you to learn to read the cards without much effort if you come often enough. Regular visitors can just put it together.

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

The closest we come to action for a story here is ‘talk.’ Both Eight of Wands and Page of Wands’ primary meanings are ‘talk.’ Eight of Wands is communication, written or oral or smoke signals. Page of Wands is in-person discussion, face to face – but it can be telephone talk too. Not written.

Eight of Wands also means many, more and more, increasing – and it makes plurals of other words in the Tarot Verbatim sentence. Page of Wands also means a good-looking well-dressed person, particularly a young man. It is about being as attractive a person as you can, putting your best foot forward, and/or about being a good person.

Eight of Wands and Two of Pentacles are movement, repetition, and quick movement. Eight of Wands emphasizes one after another in succession, and quickly. Two of Pentacles emphasizes continuing on and on, and also can be any kind of repeated movement, even refer to repetitive movement injury when aspected that way.

Eight of Wands and Nine of Cups both can refer to ‘a lot of things.’ Eight of Wands means that literally, and Nine of Cups simply has everything.

The other cards leave us talking and not doing. Nine of Cups is getting what you want, wanting, your dream coming true, satisfaction, and things going your way. Two of Pentacles goes on and on, is silly, is unstable or indecisive, and is about motion or movement.

So as I said already, we are talking here and not doing. What is featured is wanting, and getting what you want, and how it relates to talk.

Eight of Wands

Nine of Cups
Page of Wands

Eight of Wands Any kind of communication at all, even documents and mail, is Eight of Wands’ province. Limbs fly one above another looking like lines on paper, and representing: many, more and more, increasingly, and a sequence of one after another in succession, usually quickly. It is sometimes a list.

Two of Pentacles Continuing on and on in a loop like the juggling pictured. A cycle, rising and falling. Rhythmic movement like dancing or repeated motion. Repetition. Silliness. Unstable or indecisive. A routine (or rigamarole).

Nine of Cups simply has everything. It’s getting what you want, your dream coming true, satisfaction, things going your way, and, yes, wanting. The chubby fellow with the goofy grin and nine empties behind him says it all. It seems this card is most likely to keep its traditional meaning even in the quirkiest of newly minted Tarot decks.

Page of Wands stands for something and has something to say, face to face. This is being the best person you can, and represents a person people find credible and attractive – often a well-dressed well-spoken young man earnestly starting out in life. It is also in-person discussion, oral communication, a talk or discussion.

I N S T R U C T I O N S & Explanations (Comments are below this.)

Did you come here just for your predictions? – If so, you are done when you finish reading the sentences of Group Analytical Tarot Cards Reading.

Each Tarot sentence is a literal-interpretation reading of the scenes pictured on the four cards you see. Only what each of the cards says – phrase by phrase – no fillers – no psychic ability used. The readings are about you and the people around you.  They are about today and the days around it. Tarot, all by itself, talks to you. This is a demonstration of that .

Tarot will address any group flexibly, as it does here of ‘all the visitors.’ (It can address ‘all the people at work who have a say in my raise,’ for instance, without you knowing who or where those people are.)

Horoscopes are group readings too.

Astrology has to be based on someone else’s birth data, though, so it does not solidly apply to you just because of where the sun was when you were born. (Astrologers know this.)

Emily wants to know whether these sentences are more accurate for regular visitors than for people who have come only a few times. Would you help with a comment, if that is who you are? Please?

Without a question to focus the answer, four cards can mean contradictory things,  especially when the Spread has a card that means ‘no, never or not.’ That negative modifier can apply to any one of the cards.

Without a question also the pronouns (you, him, her, me, us, them, they, etc.) in a group reading are more flexible,  especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads.  When a pronoun is in parentheses, feel very free to substitute.  Notice how, as much as possible, we drop pronouns, which makes for some awkward phrasing.

The question in a ‘real’ individual reading supplies at least half the information! In a ‘real’ reading, the parties are identified (including the gender of the questioner!), and so is the time frame if there is one. In this group reading, we cannot do that, so we have variety.

Advice is about the roles that both adversity and breaking off with people we are associated with play in our getting ahead and looking acceptable to other people, looking respectable. To please the people who are disposed to disagree with us, we should have ‘the look,’ the flawless look that indicates everybody else agrees with us. Advice also covers the fact that the look isn’t always enough for the long haul … that sometimes we dissociate ourselves from the successful, respectable handsome man.

MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS:

OBSERVATION OF THE SPREAD

These are pretty much independent Tarot citizens with no theme … but Chariot and Page of Wands are both solid people who are respectable and successful.

Chariot is a success and Nine of Cups has what it wants and Page of Wands has the look. They play well together.

Three of Swords stands in the corner, as well it might, since it means to dissociate, to divorce, adversity, hostility, separation and so on. What is a bad looking guy like this doing here?

MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS:

INDIVIDUAL RIDER WAITE TAROT CARDS

Every time I see the illustration on it – of the pudgy fellow with the besotted look and the ten cups on the mantle – I think of the saying “I can’t believe I ate the whole thing.”

Our Daily Spread for July 23, 2011 Saturday

Today’s Question is: How to get ahead, what to do. Advice is about – when we have asked how to get ahead – be and have the look, and talk like the person you want to be, act like you already have whatever it is you want. Speak with authority and look sober, chaste and dignified. Be attractive to other people and they will come to you to please you. This describes a person who has no handles and who therefore isn’t vulnerable. ===================================================================================

Is this the first time you come here? Well … what to do:

*Go to Daily Message Tarot Analysis below. At least one of those sentences has something to say to you. Pick those out. They are about you and the people around you. They are about today and the days around it. (It is a group message like a horoscope, except Tarot isn’t based on someone else’s birth data, so it can be specific, accurate, detailed and direct. Our experiment here is “How much more accurate is it?”)

The Question for weekdays is: “Tell the visitors here something useful and meaningful to them.”

The Question for weekends is stated right on top on those days. Comment or call if you have a suggestion for a question.

(Some days are ‘keep an eye open for’ and some days are ‘green light, go fast.’)

*Go to Advice to apply what those sentences say (in the best way) for you. (Advice is everyone’s favorite part.) Did you come here for your predictions? – You are done now – See you tomorrow.

Without a question to focus the answer, four cards can mean contradictory things especially when the Spread has a card that negates other cards. Without a question also the pronouns in a group reading are more flexible, especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads. When a pronoun is in parentheses, feel very free to substitute. The question in a ‘real’ individual reading supplies at least half the information!

========================================================= MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS: OBSERVATION OF THE SPREAD Asking how to get ahead, we have: getting exactly what you want, what satisfies you, Nine of Cups; we have being the person who has the image, Page of Wands; we have the seeking or seeker – also means knowing or wisdom – Hermit; and then on top (where else?) is the leader, the person with discipline and strength, King of Swords. Sound like the right recipe, ya think? Both Page of Wands and Hermit are honest. Both Page of Wands and King of Swords have an image that influences people in a good way. MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS: INDIVIDUAL RIDER WAITE TAROT CARDS Page of Wands is the attractive person (male or female) who others pay attention to and think well of. He means to stand for something (anything – see surrounding card or cards), to stand up, to speak up, to stand for. He is dressed for success, a bit foppish even, and is speaking, head tilted back, his hands high on the big stick he carries, looking very attractive, even looking cute. Nine of Cups has whatever he or she wants, and is mighty satisfied with that “I ate and drank it all” look. I swear he is burping! This is a card with few meanings, is emphatic about those meanings, and is therefore an anchor card. You drool over it showing up as one of the Self cards. Hermit seeks, knows and helps and comes to (whoever/wherever). He is out looking for travelers on the road who need his help. He has a light in the darkness. As a monk, he stands for sobriety and chastity. King of Swords is the authority, the leader, the man (or person) with authority, who has the say, the commander – is militant or military or police. He has that stern Germanic look and posture, and easily holds that heavy sword aloft in a very casual way: He is used to authority, no challenge.
