Tarot Readings for You for July 31-August 1, 2017 Monday-Tuesday©
GUIDANCE When you know all the ways something can’t be done, you are stuck there for no good reason. Like when she knows her man is going to have a meltdown and get locked up for disorderly conduct. Breaking loose of the limitations of your thinking is a good thing, but you have no control over other people going out of control, as you just sit there thinking about these things.
.
.

Seven of Cups – The Sorcerer’s Apprentice thought he could handle a situation and it got out of control, to his shock: a toxic cloud of evil spirits. The veiled cup in the top center contains Hope, in the same way that the Pandora’s Box story has the one good spirit released last.
.
You can see that elements of Seven of Cup’s meanings are: out of control, confusion, a disintegrating situation, busting loose, all sorts of (whatever), a mess, nightmare, gone wild, a cloud. Words like ‘dizzy’ and ‘meltdown’ belong to Seven of Cups, and remember that so does ‘disorderly conduct.’
.
Today with Queen of Cups being so understanding of her man, Seven of Cups is saying ‘mansplain.’ Apt word, that.
Eight of Swords – You see a loosely blindfolded, loosely tied woman alone in a mud-patch, surrounded by swords whose tips are stuck in the ground. The nearest habitation is on a distant mountain. You wonder why she doesn’t just shake the ties loose and go pawn the swords.
.
Eight of Swords covers both real and fake ‘helpless’ situations. It reminds you of how people say ‘my hands are tied’ when they mean ‘I don’t want to do it.’ Eight of Swords is limitations, including self-imposed limitations. Thinking you can’t means you can’t: That’s one of Eight of Swords’ messages. But the situation can be deadly too: Eight of Swords is the main death card in Tarot Verbatim™.
.
Eight of Swords means to be contained, as well as limitations. And that extends to being in a container, which is useful when someone wants to know where a lost object is. It also extends to being in jail or prison.
Queen of Cups – Queen of Cups has very few meanings. You see a blond woman perfectly at ease contemplating a funky artifact as a flood is snaking around where she sits. Queen of Cups is The Blond, is the woman who understands her man and thinks well of him, is the loyal wife, the sentimental gal, the naif.
.
There’s a double meaning to this Queen. On the one hand is what we just said – the sweet loyal lass or wife who is trusting. On the other, Queen of Cups is the woman who has figured it out (including figuring her man out of course), who is thinking about something, paying attention quietly.
.
You find Queen of Cups translating ‘her man’ once in a while, as well as ‘his woman.’ Phrases that go along with the thinking theme belong to Queen of Cups also: thinking woman, smart lady, what’s on her mind, the way you are thinking, what she’s got in mind, her idea, her opinion, think up, she knows all about, etc.

Seven of Cups is out of control and
Eight of Swords
has no control at all.
Seven of Cups is
bustin’ out, is
wild and crazy, is an
out-of-control situation;
Eight of Swords is
constrained,
tied up,
contained,
has no wiggle room. Picture the
eruption of a
contained force. (Picture ‘
the shit hitting the fan.’)
.
Queen of Cups puts
a damper on whatever action the
eruption might have been, because
Queen of Cups is
contemplating,
thinking, and
feeling mellow. Now
the drama of
preventing
something bizarre applies to personal
scenarios
a woman is
thinking about or is part of.
.
But Eight of Swords also says ‘
nothing can be done about,’ and
Seven of Cups is
a disintegrating situation, is
things falling apart. So you
can’t do anything about it,
it’s falling apart. You can pick up the ‘
She thinks’ of
Queen of Cups, though, to make ‘
She thinks
it can’t
fall apart.’
.
Seven of Cups is
confused, and is
imagining, and
Queen of Cups is the
blond who’s
thinking. Think ‘
dizzy
blond.’
Seven of Cups is also ‘
all kinds of things,’ and
Queen of Cups is
dreamy. She dreams of
all kinds of things.
Seven of Cups is ‘
all kinds of ways,’ and
Queen of Cups is
thinking up.
.
Seven of Cups is
bad dreams, and
Queen of Cups knows all about that.
Eight of Swords is
unable to move, so you have
the nice lady
having a bad dream of
not being able to move.
.
Eight of Swords is ‘
can’t,’ and
Queen of Cups is
thinking.
She
can’t
think of that, or
she thinks that
can’t happen.

It seems to me that only about one in ten times that something could fall apart and hit the fan, it does. The Laws of Random Distribution in statistics uses that statistical ratio to set insurance rates and to prevent physical disasters, and, I swear, social disasters are subject to those same laws. Is it just me?!
