Tarot Readings for You for October 22-23, 2016 Weekend©

GUIDANCE        Seasickness is caused when the brain gets one impression from direct experience where the body is standing (which is rocking), and quite another impression of the distant view (which is stationary). We describe a similar sensation when the brain gets one impression from direct experience (the official, wavy, story) and quite another impression from the landscape we have trusted as a foundation all this time.

Tarot Readings: Hanged Man and Seven of Pentacles

.. …..

Question, with an open mind, and you will be right.

I have this instinct that I don’t think is respectable.

You sense things and you wonder how real they are.

Feeling in my gut is very strong, but do I have the right idea?

How can I get them to accept a whole different slant on things?

I am most aware of my doubts when it comes to religion.

.

Tarot Readings: Hanged Man and Hierophant

.. … ..

I have this vision, and am wondering how it can be real.

How can I be conscious of my subconscious side?

Is this a mainstream idea?

I think I got it right.

It’s mind over matter, I think.

Maybe in this flash I am seeing things as they actually are.

You are thinking a psychic is correct.

.

Tarot Readings: Seven of Pentacles and Hierophant

. …..n

I’m not sure it’s real, but I feel that way.

Pondering why things are the way they are, I have a different perspective.

Realizing I must be in a rut.

You question the official story when you ‘get it.’

Looking for a safe way to be psychic.

You get a feeling you ought to be skeptical.

Your hunch, somehow, is ‘on the money.’

.. ….. …     .

Hanged Man The strange illustration here depicts what ‘awakening’ feels like, what suddenly realizing something … something that you knew all along? … feels like. It covers psychic impressions, and it covers that ‘lipstick on the collar’ moment, and it covers that ‘coulda had a V8′ moment. Anything like that. Insight, intuition, visionary revelations about stuff. Hanged Man is when your subconscious zaps your physical awareness with one of its own. And your subconscious inhabits a different world from your conscious. Here, they are being introduced to one another. Hanged Man is unique.

.

Here are the phrases it makes today, which will give you a feel for the Hanged Man applications: an open mind

Seven of Pentacles – Seven of Pentacles is when you simply don’t know and there’s some reason you can’t know right now. (Watch for it to tell you that your question doesn’t yet have an answer!) What you see in this illustration is a fellow who planted and watered and pulled weeds for his cucumber plants, but planted only a few. It’s a gendered plant, so if there’s no opposite-gender cucumber plant nearby for a bee to visit both – no cucumbers for him.

.

Seven of Pentacles’ special meaning reflects having done everything you can, and the outcome is unknown and unknowable for the moment. It can be advice to quit worrying and wondering, but mostly it describes the worrying and wondering.

.

Seven of Pentacles is one of the ‘Duh’ cards. (You won’t find this idea anyplace else but here, it’s Emily’s.) Seven of Pentacles is one of the cards that asks questions, and often turns your sentence into a question. It often translates ‘maybe,’ and the word ‘question’ both as noun and verb. It also often translates ‘I think.’ (The ‘think’ tribe of meanings is a well-populated one in Tarot Verbatim™.)

.

And yes, watch it come up for questions about plants, even house plants.

Hierophant Hierophant is a complex card whose illustration doesn’t divulge much. Let’s go into the illustration. This is the pope. (I notice the artist of Rider Waite Tarot, Pamela Coleman Smith, often puts red garments to indicate religious topics, such as the pilgrim in Eight of Cups. I searched for when a pope would wear red, and no red robes were mentioned.) The pope is doing a ritual physically in the real-world with his fellow-religious, his helpers. This is what he usually does, and it’s a public testament, and it celebrates or expresses a mindset that is established.

.

This idea of what is accepted, mainstream, usual, respectable, routine, harmless, supposed to be and ought to be, and a mindset belongs to Hierophant. So does anything at least halfway-positive about religion. Hierophant means ‘right’ and ‘correct’ right up there with Justice and Ace of Pentacles.

.

Hierophant emphasizes the conscious and physical side of things. It translates both of those words. It means ‘real’ and ‘real-world,’ and ‘things as they actually are.’ It also indicates official possession, and ‘the paper thing’ – certificates, licenses, titles, names. It also refers to being entitled.

.

As the main card for ‘things as they are,’ Hierophant also indicates being in a rut. And it can express the counterculture concept of the Establishment (working for The Man, etc.).

Here we are with revelation and insight on the left, Hanged Man, and what’s supposed to be the way things are (official reality), Hierophant, on the right. And here we are in the middle as Seven of Pentacles, puzzling and doubting.

Figure things out the best you can when an insight rearranges your world view:’ That’s our message.

Other cards, single ones even, say ‘Things are not what they seem,’ but these three Tarot cards are suggesting balancing your inspired thought with the evidence accepted by, shall we say, most people?

Note that all three of our Tarot citizens here are about thinking. Hanged Man is a new perspective or thought striking; Seven of Pentacles is thinking, wondering and puzzling; Hierophant is accepting the usual view.

Advice  What type of person are you?  What categories do you fit and not fit into?  This determines your destiny in so many unspoken and unwritten ways,  especially in the workplace.  Posture and dress and speech classify you and me as if there were a caste system in spite of our many ways of pussyfooting around it.  Even more than ability,  talent,  intelligence,  having the look and/or being the type opens doors of opportunity.  Some professions less than others,  it’s true,  but even in those it pays to mind your appearance as much as your manners,  and exhibit the customary behavior for the field.

(At the time of production,  there’s no way to correct the lack of spaces after punctuation.  I am writing around it now!)

GROUP ANALYTICAL TAROT READING  Tell the visitors here something useful and meaningful to them.

General

Have you ever heard an honest worker claim to be one?

I said over and over again I wasn’t so sure this was correct.

Do you think you should keep saying that,  even though it’s true?

Why should a young guy have just an ordinary job?

What if I told you about a just average job?

People say it’s not quite respectable employment.

Why do they always say it the same way?

The job is about talking (Page of Wands + Eight of Pentacles)

The job is saying not-quite-respectable conversation.

This job is about telling people questionable things.

Talking for a living is not quite the usual thing.

Can you say the prescribed lines for this job?

Being that type of person (Hierophant + Page of Wands)

How can he be proud to be a working-class fellow?

He is the type who asks you one question after another.

Am not sure what the average working-class person would say.

I wonder why the average Joe,  every time,  says these things.

I guess that’s the way the average working-class person talks.

Can you do the same thing in the same way over and over – is that you?

He is the type to question the way things are usually done.

The work is so standardized;  are you that type person?

The right look for the job (Hierophant,  Page of Wands + Eight of Pentacles)

He seems acceptable in each and every way.

So where is a respectable good-looking young handsome man with a job?

If I were good-looking,  would I have my usual job?

How come the average worker here is so good-looking?

He seems a good worker to be so young and cute.

He seems to get jobs by looking and talking so clean-cut.

Having the right look for the job seems to be enough.

Good Enough to Work Here (Hierophant + Eight of Pentacles)

I wonder if I’m good enough to work there?

Do I meet the criteria or standards to work there?

I think you will fit right in with the look the other employees have.

Now, Part Two,

Do you want to know a little, or a lot, about how this Tarot Verbatim ™ thing works? If so,

*Go to Meanings and Illustrations:  Learn Tarot by Observing section below. This tells about the combined four pictures in the Daily Spread –  the pictures above here.  It explains how these four cards get together in your mind to make the message.

*Go to Meanings and Illustrations:  Learn Tarot by the Pictures.  It is what each of the four cards,  by itself,  has to say.  It shows you how that illustration makes that card’s meanings in this Spread.

You can put all this together and intuitively see yourself how Tarot Verbatim ™ works.

Say hello back!  Comment!  I spend two hours a day or more writing these to you.  Remember to share your experience about our experiment here if you have words for it.  Read others’ comments.

And you can call me at the 800 99 3 6 9 12 number from Eastern 1 p. m. to Eastern 1 a. m. at least,  every day.  (3-6-9-12 like a clock.  It makes a pattern on the phone as well –  easy to remember.)   I analyze business situations and personal relationships accurately from both Tarot and practical perspectives.  You enjoy it.  (Testimonials are on the web site.  https://EmilysInsight.com.)

Seven of Pentacles

Hierophant –  Page of Wands –  Eight of Pentacles

MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS:  LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

Respectability,  conformity,  being accepted and acceptable,  having the right look are meanings common to both Hierophant and Page of Wands.  Page of Wands is more about appearance –  in particular being good-looking.  Hierophant is more about standards and moral strictures.

So what does this apply to? –  well,  the workplace or job or employment,  Eight of Pentacles says.   Both Hierophant and Eight of Pentacles refer to a routine –  Hierophant as ceremonial routine and Eight of Pentacles as doing the same operation over and over.

The remaining Rider Waite card asks a questions or calls something into question.

So our subject is about fitting in at work,  about being the type to work here.  It is also about just being a type of person or not.

MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS:  LEARN TAROT BY THE PICTURES

Hierophant means pope.  There he is in a red robe,  monks kneeling to his authority.  Conformity galore.  Here it will refer to the repetitive routines we do on the job.

Page of Wands dresses the part and speaks well.  He is all about image and fitting in and being acceptable,  about being the type and type-casting yourself.  He is the good-looking respectable young man your mother wants/wanted you to marry.  He can be vain and foppish as he is pictured in our Rider Waite deck here.

Eight of Pentacles is about repetitive action,  doing something in the same way over and over,  as the carpenter makes one identical tile after another here.  Work,  employment,  the workplace,  the job,  being the worker or being working-class.

Seven of Pentacles ponders and puzzles and questions.  When you grow plants that have gender,  they don’t bear fruit unless both genders are within some vicinity of one another.  This is the questionable situation in the illustration.

Our Daily Spread June 12, 2011

This Weekend’s Question is: A Satisfactory Love Life. Advice about a satisfactory love life brings up three cards out of four that each mean ‘thinking and feeling’ and in their midst is ‘sharing.’ Sharing thoughts and feelings means a satisfactory love life, we say here. The implication of the messages is: “This describes the real thing: Is this what you have?” Have you found the Holy Grail of Satisfying Love? Someone you have the magic moments with most of the time? ========================================================================= Is this the first time you come here? Well … what to do: *Go to Daily Message Tarot Analysis below. At least one of those sentences has something to say to you. Pick those out. They are about you and the people around you. They are about today and the days around it. (It is a group message like a horoscope, except Tarot isn’t based on someone else’s birth data, so it can be specific, accurate, detailed and direct. Our experiment here is “How much more accurate is it?”) The Question for weekdays is: “Tell the visitors here something useful and meaningful to them.” The Question for weekends is stated right on top on those days. (Some days are ‘keep an eye open for’ and some days are ‘green light, go fast.’) *Go to Advice to apply what those sentences say (in the best way) for you. (Advice is everyone’s favorite part.) Did you come here for your predictions? – You are done now – See you tomorrow. Without a question to focus the answer, four cards can mean contradictory things especially when the Spread has a card that negates other cards. Without a question also the pronouns in a group reading are more flexible, especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads. When a pronoun is in parentheses, feel very free to substitute. The question in a ‘real’ individual reading supplies at least half the information! ======================================================================== DAILY MESSAGE TAROT ANALYSIS Tell the visitors here something useful and meaningful to them. Isn’t what you are looking for the intense sharing of experience? Isn’t it camaraderie and intuitive sharing you are looking for? Do you intensely share the moment and sense one another’s sincere affection? We each have the same vision of what’s real, don’t we? Realize this isn’t just dating, it’s caring. He is even considerate to her girl friends; and does he even think of it that way? How can we each know what makes the other happy, instinctively? Caring and sharing without even thinking of it that way. We somehow realize we are looking out for one another’s welfare. We are both looking out for one another’s happiness and prosperity, getting ideas and inspirations. Your friends realize how happy you are when they see you together, and wonder how you do it. You instinctively figure (he) is sincere when (he) finds ways to be with you. Somehow you just know (he) will come to your aid and share the wealth. We seem to know we care for one another in the same way. Looking out for one another must be what it’s all about: We realize this! Are you looking for that instinctive Three Musketeers [one for all, all for one] bond? How do you look for that kind of psychic bond? In our guts, we somehow instinctively know what we are looking for is a shared life. Does this person realize what being a friend and getting along with friends is all about? He went out looking for girlfriends and wonders at what he found. ======================================================================== Now, Part Two, Do you want to know a little, or a lot, about how this Tarot Verbatim ™ thing works? If so, *Go to the first Meanings and Illustrations section below. This tells about the combined four pictures in the Daily Spread – the pictures above here. It explains how these four cards get together to mean things. Then you can *Go to the second Meanings and Illustrations. It is what each of the four cards, by itself, has to say. It describes how that illustration makes that card’s meanings in this Spread. You can put all this together and see yourself how Tarot Verbatim ™ works. Photos of the animals are in with the articles I write for you. Click the link. Enjoy them too! The people who call me support these and other animals. 100 photos are not posted here yet. It makes a pattern on the phone as well – easy to remember.) I analyze business situations and personal relationships accurately from both Tarot and practical perspectives, and even make it fun. (Testimonials are on the web site. Just click the link.) ========================================================================= Meanings and Illustrations: Observation of the Spread We ask about a satisfying love life and we get three of four Rider Waite Tarot citizens that mean ‘thinking and feeling’ in different aspects. In their midst, sharing – sharing the good feeling, the magic moment. Well yes, that is what satisfying love feels like! The implication is: This is what to look for – the Hermit who searches and who means truth and sincerity. Hermit and Hanged Man both are about seeing, understanding. Hermit is searching, is on the path (of service) and also means factual truth. Hanged Man is the eureka realization that disorients us from our standard consciousness. It’s ‘catching on.’ It’s ‘getting it.’ It’s ‘seeing through.’ It’s intense experience as well as intense realization. It’s ‘So that’s it.’ It is the striking thought. Hermit and Seven of Cups are the search, the figuring it out. Hermit is following the trail of the facts toward an understanding of the truth. (That is why he also stands for an investigation.) Seven of Cups is the ‘Do you suppose?’ theory stage of the search-and-realization process. Three of Cups and Seven of Cups both involve harvest, but we aren’t using those meanings today. The Rider Waite Tarot card this is all about is being at one, sharing experience, joy and material goods. And that is a pretty good definition of a satisfactory love life, isn’t it? Meanings and Illustrations: Individual Rider Waite Tarot Cards Hermit is searching, is on the path (of service) and also means factual truth. He stands for sincerity and honesty and being a friend, helping out. His illustration is the monk out looking for people on the road to help who might be stranded or lost. Three of Cups’ key word is sharing. All for one and one for all, the Three Musketeers, pooling resources and sharing the profits of the shared work. Dating and girlfriends too. The illustration shows three girls who are rejoicing about their harvest on their farm. Seven of Pentacles wonders and figures and is all about theory and whether … ‘What are the chances?’ It seems, doesn’t it? Maybe. Hmmm. His illustration is the fella who planted cucumbers, which require a male and female plant in order to bear fruit. He wonders whether he will have his harvest. Hierophant is the eureka realization that disorients us from our standard consciousness. It’s ‘catching on.’ It’s ‘getting it.’ It’s ‘seeing through.’ It’s intense experience as well as intense realization. It’s ‘So that’s it.’ It is the striking thought. The illustration is a fellow hanging upside-down, his head encased with beaming light like the halo on old paintings of saints. It depicts how you feel … upside-down … when you have a new orientation from a thought.
