Tarot Readings for You for July 1, 2015 Wednesday©

GUIDANCE     What price peace? Well that partly depends on whether you dread a confrontation, or whether you relish one … at the given moment. Sometimes we sleep through a storm, and sometimes we wake up and slam the window shut. Depends. We are looking at scenarios in which we are deciding, in which we are pondering, whether to let sleeping dogs lie because they wake up snarling. We also remind ourselves to get our rest when we are under this kind of pressure.

.

TAROT READINGS: WHETHER TO ENGAGE (SEVEN OF PENTACLES AND SEVEN OF WANDS)

Don’t wrangle, just ask ‘Why are you being obnoxious?’

It seems you have to fight for your peace, doesn’t it?

Asking myself ‘Is it worth the scene, or not?’

To confront, or not to confront: That is the question.

Either I overcome it, or I live with it: Which shall it be?

Is it time to have myself a temper tantrum, or not?

He’s so snarly – should I let the sleeping dog lie?

Maybe I would not win the fight with this heathen.

Meditating on whether to defend myself.

Countering the uncertainty that keeps me inactive.

.………..……….

TAROT READINGS: NO FIGHT IN ME (FOUR OF SWORDS AND SEVEN OF WANDS)

I only think about fighting my way out of a situation.

I stay here because I’m not sure how to break out.

It makes me mad but maybe I should put up with it.

When in doubt, don’t shout.

Suppose I just let him be rude.

Why can’t I resist him?

.………..……….

TAROT READINGS: WELL, I AM NOT DOING ANYTHING, AM I? (FOUR OF SWORDS AND SEVEN OF PENTACLES)

Why fight inertia?

What does it take for us to be outraged?

So why aren’t we raising hell?

If I’m ‘mad as hell,’ why am I still ‘taking it’?

How can pacifists be so militant?

Don’t drive yourself crazy wondering.

If you are adamantly against it, don’t do it.

.………..……….

TAROT READINGS: ARE YOU GETTING YOUR REST? (FOUR OF SWORDS AND SEVEN OF PENTACLES)

Four of Swords – Seven of Pentacles – Seven of Wands

.

.

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

             LEARN TAROT BY PICTURES

.………..………. .……..……..We’ve got story. In the center, we are questioning, pondering and wondering with Seven of Pentacles, the pluperfect expert on questioning, pondering and wondering. To the left is not doing that, not engaging or participating – to passively endure without response. To the right is resisting, defending oneself, rising to the occasion of an invasive situation. The three cards together scream: Should I just lie here and take it, or should I do something about it?

Four of Swords.……..Four of Swords is time out. Four of Swords is sleep. Four of Swords is dormant, not acting or reacting, being indifferent, being the couch potato. Four of Swords is vision quest and meditating, too. That’s because this illustration is about the knight candidate ritual. The Page overnighted lying upon his local church’s relic – bones of a saint or hero – meditating until he had a vision of what his life purpose as a knight was. He reported this vision to the bishop, who validated it (or didn’t).

So Four of Swords is not a lead card for death, at all, but is about taking time out for self-examination, for a vision of one’s purpose in life.

In practice, it has many meanings – amazing number of them – that are mostly all about this ‘time out’ phase of life, or about not happening, not doing, not responding (not calling!).

Seven of Pentacles……..Seven of Pentacles is perplexed. He owns ‘maybe’ and ‘wonder’ and ‘what if’ and ‘not knowing’ – owns quite a stable of such phrases. Our grower’s cucumber plants (which are gendered) have reach the size close to bearing, but not quite actual setting fruit. He has no way of knowing whether all his labor will bring him cucumbers. So he leans on his shovel and wonders. This Seven of Pentacles card has that mood, that vibration, to it.

.

Seven of Wands……...Seven of Wands is famous for covering in utter detail all sides of all types of trespasses, any incursion or invasion at all – from the nosy or rude person to assault with intent to kill. As I put it, it’s both ‘Gimme the car keys, and I ain’t gonna buy the gas’ and ‘I’m mad as hell and I won’t take it anymore.’ So we have the demanding entitlement hog, and we have self-defense.

The picture shows neighbors attacking a landowner to take his land. The defender is expected to win in Seven of Wands.

……. ….Seven of Wands and Seven of Pentacles expresses things like: Maybe I should stand up for myself. Is he really going to get in my face? Why is (he) so obnoxious?

.………..….. Seven of Pentacles questions and ponders. Put him next to Four of Swords, which is meditation, particularly meditation on life’s purpose, and you have meditating on whether life has a purpose.

.

.

To engage, or not to engage: That is the question. Either I overcome an obstacle, or I live with it: Which shall it be, at this given moment? Countering the uncertainty that keeps me inactive: When in doubt, I don’t shout, but I am wondering whether it’s a good move to throw a temper tantrum right here and right now.

.

.

.

Now we show where each of the phrases in each of the sentences comes from:

.………..……….

TAROT READINGS: WHETHER TO ENGAGE (SEVEN OF PENTACLES AND SEVEN OF WANDS)

Don’t FOUR OF SWORDS wrangle SEVEN OF WANDS, just ask ‘Why are you SEVEN OF PENTACLES being obnoxious SEVEN OF WANDS?’

It seems SEVEN OF PENTACLES you have to fight for SEVEN OF WANDS your peace FOUR OF SWORDS, doesn’t it SEVEN OF PENTACLES?

Asking myself SEVEN OF PENTACLES ‘Is it worth FOUR OF SWORDS as ‘It’s not worth doing.’ fighting about SEVEN OF WANDS, or not FOUR OF SWORDS?’

To confront SEVEN OF WANDS, or not to FOUR OF SWORDS confront SEVEN OF WANDS: That is the question SEVEN OF PENTACLES.

Either I overcome it SEVEN OF WANDS, or I live with it FOUR OF SWORDS: Which shall it be SEVEN OF PENTACLES?

Is it SEVEN OF WANDS time to have myself a temper tantrum SEVEN OF WANDS, or not FOUR OF SWORDS – meaning ‘not doing.’?

He’s so snarly SEVEN OF WANDS – should I SEVEN OF PENTACLES let the sleeping dog lie FOUR OF SWORDS?

Maybe SEVEN OF PENTACLES I would not FOUR OF SWORDS win the fight with this heathen SEVEN OF WANDS (Remember, in SEVEN OF WANDS, there’s an assumption of the defender winning. Here, Seven of Pentacles calls that winning into question.).

Meditating on FOUR OF SWORDS whether to SEVEN OF PENTACLES defend myself SEVEN OF WANDS.

Countering SEVEN OF WANDS the uncertainty SEVEN OF PENTACLES that keeps me inactive FOUR OF SWORDS.

.………..……….

TAROT READINGS: NO FIGHT IN ME (FOUR OF SWORDS AND SEVEN OF WANDS)

I only think about (SEVEN OF PENTACLES and FOUR OF SWORDS here mean ‘to ponder over it and not actually do it.) fighting my way out of a situation SEVEN OF WANDS.

I stay here FOUR OF SWORDS because I’m not sure SEVEN OF PENTACLES how to break out SEVEN OF WANDS.

It makes me mad SEVEN OF WANDS but maybe I should SEVEN OF PENTACLES put up with it FOUR OF SWORDS.

When in doubt SEVEN OF PENTACLES, don’t FOUR OF SWORDS – meaning ‘refrain from’ shout SEVEN OF WANDS.

Suppose SEVEN OF PENTACLES I just let him FOUR OF SWORDS be rude SEVEN OF WANDS.

Why SEVEN OF PENTACLES can’t I SEVEN OF WANDS resist him FOUR OF SWORDS?

.………..……….

TAROT READINGS: WELL, I AM NOT DOING ANYTHING, AM I? (FOUR OF SWORDS AND SEVEN OF PENTACLES)

Why SEVEN OF PENTACLES fight SEVEN OF WANDS inertia FOUR OF SWORDS?

What does it take for SEVEN OF PENTACLES and FOUR OF SWORDS us to be outraged SEVEN OF WANDS?

So why SEVEN OF PENTACLES aren’t we FOUR OF SWORDS – meaning ‘we aren’t’ raising hell SEVEN OF WANDS?

If SEVEN OF PENTACLES I’m ‘mad as hell SEVEN OF WANDS,’ why am I SEVEN OF PENTACLES still ‘taking it FOUR OF SWORDS‘?

How can SEVEN OF PENTACLES pacifists FOUR OF SWORDS be so militant SEVEN OF WANDS?

Don’t FOUR OF SWORDS – meaning ‘refrain from’ drive yourself crazy SEVEN OF WANDS wondering SEVEN OF PENTACLES.

If SEVEN OF PENTACLES you are adamantly against it SEVEN OF WANDS, don’t do it FOUR OF SWORDS.

.………..……….

TAROT READINGS: ARE YOU GETTING YOUR REST? (FOUR OF SWORDS AND SEVEN OF PENTACLES)

You are under pressure SEVEN OF WANDS: Are you SEVEN OF PENTACLES getting your rest FOUR OF SWORDS?

How can I SEVEN OF PENTACLES sleep FOUR OF SWORDS when I am outraged SEVEN OF WANDS?

Tarot Readings for You for November 18, 2013 Monday©

Guidance      You stand up to the dark side inside or outside yourself, you win.  The big announcement is:  Whatever the biggest problem is, this is where your luck is:  Push hard there and the cosmic vending machine will send what you select down the chute.  The same messages produce the idea of enjoying the challenge, the fight, with the dark side, with bullies of all stripes.  “Aren’t you pleased that you are standing up to the downside?” is my favorite.  Enjoy resisting cravings and addictions. Cowardly lion no more. Today is adventure, troops!

Are YOU here for the first time? Come in!

People love this place! Our site is divided into four sections: Guidance, Tarot Readings, Learn Tarot by Observation, and Learn Tarot by Pictures.
If you just want your daily look ahead, Guidance and Tarot Readings are all you need. ‘Guidance’ (above) is a summary of what the cards are telling visitors to be aware of this day.

‘Group Tarot Cards Reading’ (just below this) is the actual word-for-word messages from the pictures of the four cards you see – to everyone. Tarot Readings: Satisfaction About the Problem (Nine of Cups and Devil)

Whatever difficulty you are struggling with now, all of it goes your way.

I thought it was such a big problem, but when I raised hell, I got satisfaction.

Yes, the showdown was stressful, but you got your way, didn’t you?

Is it a problem for you to fight to get what you want?

If I could fight this craving, I would have the life I want.

I seem to get exactly what I want when I resist my dark side.

I guess I’m satisfied; I fought my devil and I won.

Tarot Readings: The Joy of Combat (Nine of Cups and Seven of Wands)

I seem to be struggling against what I really want like it’s the enemy.

Aren’t you pleased that you are standing up to the downside?

I thought I was defending myself, but now I want to get really vicious.

I think the worst part of the abuse I face is: I enjoy the challenge.

Do you really want to be in this nasty fight? You will win it.

What is this joy of battle I am feeling? – It’s addicting.

Maybe I really want to do some harm in this battle I find myself in.

Is he demanding his space like you’re his enemy? – let him have it, grant his wish.

I seem to enjoy getting in the bad guys’ face.

Why am I feeling so mean? – because I want to defend myself.

I will get what I want if I go face to face with the opponent. Am pondering this.

I think the worst that can happen would be:  I get to scream and holler.

Why do I consider getting in his ugly face with such satisfaction?

Does he really want to fight me when I’m PMSing … goood!

They won’t be so sure they want to fight when you fight dirty.

If it is evil we are fighting against, bring it on.

Tarot Readings: Pondering the Problems (Seven of Pentacles and Devil)

Is the worst part when I enjoyed his hissyfit?

I wished a bad thing on someone who seems to be confronted with it now.

Sooo, does he enjoy being an obnoxious deviate?

Does he really get satisfaction out of being aggressively rude?

He is such a pushy mouthy low-rent dude: Why do I want him?

Why does he enjoy harassing people when he is drunk/high?

So, am I ugly? – that is the last thing I want or will let happen.

I guess he wants it all and will do any lowdown thing to get it.

Now,  Part Two,

Do you want to know a little, or a lot, about how this Tarot Verbatim™ thing works? If so,

*Go to Learn Tarot by Observing section below. This tells about the combined four pictures in the Tarot Readings – the pictures above here.  It explains how these four cards get together in your mind to make the messages.

*Go to Learn Tarot by Pictures.  It is what each of the four cards, by itself, has to say.  It shows you how that illustration makes that card’s meanings in today’s Spread. All the words of each Tarot card reading you see here are a phrase-by-phrase translation of the scene pictured on those cards: no filler, no psychic impressions, no spirit guide. Word-for-word Tarot Verbatim™.

You can put all this together and intuitively see yourself how Tarot Verbatim™ works.

This is a group reading, with no Questioner and no Question to limit what the cards say, so there’s more variety – even contradictions – and also the pronouns are more flexible. If it feels like it’s yours, and it says ‘he,’ and you’re a ‘she,’ feel free to adopt it anyway.

Devil

Nine of Cups – Seven of Pentacles – Seven of Wands

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

.

Here we describe the awakening to the joy of combat of a soul who perhaps enjoys peace to the point of compromising. The joy of combat is Nine of Cups and Seven of Wands – Nine of Cups (enjoy, satisfaction) and Seven of Wands (to stand up for yourself).

Seven of Pentacles and Devil: The awakening is pondering (Seven of Pentacles) a bad situation or a problem person … or evil person, or an evil situation (Devil) …

Seven of Wands and Seven of Pentacles: … that is aggressively in your face (Seven of Wands), and asking yourself if (Seven of Pentacles) …

Nine of Cups and Seven of Wands: … you want to fight this (Seven of Wands). Notice that a sentence can use two different meanings of the same card sometimes: Seven of Wands is ‘in your face’ and is ‘fight this.’ That’s because Seven of Wands means both to be interfered with or invaded and to defend yourself against same.

Seven of Wands and Devil: Fighting your devil, you win. (Seven of Wands, fighting; Devil, your devil; Nine of Cups, you win.)

Seven of Pentacles and Nine of Cups: Then we describe the aftermath of the battle, the plaintive questioning and pondering (Seven of Pentacles) of ‘Did I really enjoy that fight?’ (Seven of Pentacles, ‘Did I,’ Nine of Cups, ‘really enjoy’ and Seven of Wands, that fight. Note that ‘Did I really enjoy that fight?’ uses the same two cards that mean the joy of combat, Nine of Cups and Seven of Wands.

Going back to Seven of Wands and Devil, these two cards can describe a knock-down drag-out fight involving defense against someone or something extreme, ugly, vicious or evil – including a bad habit or addiction.

= Did you notice that Devil and Seven of Wands both mean ‘obnoxious’? Devil means that directly and Seven of Wands is acting obnoxiously.

OTHER MEANINGS

Other meanings of Nine of Cups and Seven of Pentacles are: Is this really what you want? Enjoy speculating about something. What if I got what I am wishing for?

Seven of Wands and Seven of Pentacles also mean: Maybe I should stand up for myself. Is he really going to get in my face? Why is (he) so obnoxious?

Nine of Cups and Seven of Wands also mean: get between you and what you really want, want to fight or enjoy the fight, and fight for what you want. I enjoyed his hissyfit.

Seven of Pentacles and Devil also mean: Is it really that bad? Why is (he) so nasty? Am I ugly? Is that the worst part?

Seven of Wands and Devil also mean: confronted with a bad situation, fight my devil, defend myself against the bad guy(s), rude and obnoxious, a dirty fight, and get in my face when I’m PMSing.

LEARN TAROT BY PICTURES

.

Nine of Cups “Your wish is granted” is Nine of Cups in just about any self-respecting Tarot deck.  The illustration evokes that Thanksgiving ‘I et the whole thing’ feeling.  It shows a chubby fella with a big grin, the nine empty cups he drained on display. Nine of Cups also means greed, excess, consumerism, satiety, gluttony, pigging out … but not today. Today it speaks of enjoyment, of winning, and of wanting to.

Seven of Pentacles Hmmm.  That’s what it means, you know, ‘Hmmm.’  He is pondering and wondering whether his cucumbers will produce a crop, whether both genders of plant are present. Today it’s about ‘Did I really?’

Seven of Wands Mad as hell, he is, and in someone’s face demanding his space.  The mouthy pushy adolescent of any age and gender, obstreperous and obnoxious, intrusive and loud. But this Rider Waite Tarot card also embraces defending yourself, defending your position, defending a cause, as well as defending your space or turf.  So the ‘mad as hell and won’t take it anymore’ can be justified or not justified.  Illustration shows just that: someone defending his place from a number of intruders who intend to make it theirs.

Devil represents the concept that being attached to dark-side anything (things, people, substances, concepts, attitudes, feelings) is voluntary;  your chains are loose.  Devil also refers to fear, the enemy, the problem, nasty, ugly, rage, killing, hate, perversions, lust and the word ‘hideous.’ but it doesn’t have to be a ‘bad card’; it also can be about physical and about an attachment of one thing to another, like papers clipped together.

Tarot Readings for You for October 26, 2013 Saturday(c)

Guidance      It’s all about getting out. Sometimes, you just have the idea to get out … had enough of this. Sometimes you have to get out of there, whether slow or fast, whether it’s your idea or whether you are under some outside pressure to. Dropping out instead of sticking around to struggle against the odds. Avoid defending yourself with someone who is confrontational. It’s such a life change to break out and get on your way … perplexed about this. And why is this person so mouthy when you are going out of your way to avoid meeting up? If so much stands in the way of gradual withdrawal, it must be time to drop out.

Perplexed about how to break out and get away:  It’s such a life change.

Contemplating just disappearing instead of fighting my way out of here.

Resisting the uncertainty that comes with getting the heck out and putting it all behind.

They won’t let me quit, maybe I will just distance myself from here.

Contemplating leaving the country to avoid what is coming at me.

Avoiding Confrontation (Six of Swords and Seven of Wands)

He figures dropping out is a way to avoid defending himself in a confrontation.

Why is he so mouthy when you go out of your way to avoid him?

Not sure how to get away when my escape is cut off.

Complainers get in your face unexpectedly while you wonder how to exit.

How can we force this person out of here without notice?

Tarot Readings: Leave Gradually or Suddenly? (Six of Swords and Eight of Cups)

The challenge is whether to leave gradually or leave abruptly.

Seems he got mad and quit when he was on his way out anyway.

Since so much stands in the way of a gradual withdrawal, I figure I will drop out.

Tarot Readings: Not Mad Anymore (Eight of Cups and Seven of Wands)

It’s not here. Maybe it disappeared when I was cussing at it.

He seems to have suddenly left his adolescent self behind.

The fella who was upset when I left seems to have abandoned me.

So far I have avoided a temper tantrum; should I change?

Would I have better days ahead if I get mad and quit?

Tarot Readings: Seems Like a Shift (Seven of Pentacles and Eight of Cups)

We weren’t going to let him leave, and he seems to have disappeared.

It seems we have to detour to get out of this town.

We have to give up but I believe better times are ahead.

A shift seems to have occurred that I have to deal with – the old days are over.

Suspect I am going to be fired so I push for moving to another city.

Why did I leave when I was so against leaving?

Eight of Cups

Six of Swords – Seven of Pentacles – Seven of Wands

LEARN TAROT BY OBSERVING

.

Six of Swords and Eight of Cups both mean leaving. Six of Cups is leaving gradually, putting it behind. Better times are ahead, mostly because things are so awful right now. Eight of Cups is leaving fast, leaving abruptly, leaving without notice, making a detour, changing course abruptly, or even dropping out.

Seven of Wands involves the issue of leaving, too. Seven of Wands can be the reason for leaving – being pushed out or confronted – or can be insisting on leaving, or protesting leaving, or can be standing in the way, as in “You’re not going anywhere.” Seven of Wands mouths off, raises hell … is the mouthy adolescent. As I have said before, this Rider Waite Tarot card can be ‘I’m mad as hell and won’t take it anymore,’ or can be ‘Gimme the car keys, and, no I ain’t fillin’ the tank.’ A person is worked up about holding his/her ground. In the illustration, a landowner fights his neighbors for his home.

Seven of Pentacles is wondering, puzzling, contemplating. Yes, it is a ‘Duh’ card. It is one of the cards that makes a sentence a question. In the illustration, he wonders whether his work growing this plant will come to fruition: cucumbers.

Six of Swords and Seven of Pentacles combines wondering with leaving an undesirable scene.

Some of the phrases for these two here are: Why did I leave? Maybe I am on the way out. How to move on to a better life. Suspect that moving to another city. Seems to have left that self behind. Gradual withdrawal … I figure. On his way out anyway. Wonder how to exit. Why, when I avoid (him). Not sure how to get away.

Six of Swords and Seven of Wands combines getting away (Six of Swords) with: being blocked, being pushed out or pressured, or holding your ground protesting. It’s Seven of Wands’ variations that create the variety.

Our phrases for these two are: a struggle to have a better future by moving on. Being blocked from getting out of a bad situation for a better one. He is so mouthy you try to avoid him. You are blocked from getting away. That hellraising fella is on his way out.

Seven of Pentacles and Seven of Wands combine wondering with being blocked, being pushed out or pressured, or holding your ground protesting. Once again, Seven of Wands makes the variety because it it different meanings, and Seven of Pentacles has so few.

Here are some of the portions of sentences these two Rider Waite Tarot cards have contributed to today’s messages: Perplexed re how to break out. Contemplating fighting my way. Resisting the uncertainty. They won’t let me, so maybe. Contemplating what is coming at me. He figures defending himself in a confrontation. Why is he so mouthy? Not sure, when my escape is cut off. Get in your face unexpectedly while you wonder. How can we force this person. The challenge is whether to. Seems he got mad. Since so much stands in the way, I figure. Maybe when I was cussing at it. He seems to have … his adolescent self. The fella who was upset seems to have. Should I have a temper tantrum?

Seven of Pentacles and Eight of Cups combine wondering with a sudden change or departure or detour – which often involve ‘leaving.’ Expect some similarity to the phrases produced by Seven of Pentacles and Six of Swords, since Six of Swords means ‘leaving’ too. The two ‘leavings’ are very different, though. See Six of Swords and Eight of Cups, the first entry here.

Here are phrases for Seven of Pentacles and Eight of Cups: Perplexed about such a life change. Contemplating just disappearing. The uncertainty that comes with getting the heck out. Maybe I will quit. Contemplating leaving the country. He figures dropping out is. Why, when you go out of your way to. Not sure how, when my escape. Unexpectedly, while you wonder how. How can we, without notice? Whether to leave abruptly. Seems he quit. I figure I will drop out. Maybe it disappeared.

Seven of Wands and Eight of Cups combine Seven of Wands’ meanings – being blocked, being pushed out or pressured, or holding your ground protesting – with Eight of Cups’ meanings. Eight of Cups means leaving fast, leaving abruptly, leaving without notice, making a detour, changing course abruptly, or even dropping out. The first thing you think of is someone being forced to drop out.

So against leaving. Being fired, so I push for. A shift I will have to deal with. We have to give up. We have to detour. Disappeared, when we weren’t going to let him. Avoided a temper tantrum. Upset, abandoned me. Suddenly left his adolescent self. So much stands in the way that I drop out. Got mad and quit. Challenge is to leave abruptly. Force this person out of here without notice. Get in your face when you exit. Escape is cut off. So mouthy when you are going out of your way to. Dropping out of defending himself in a confrontation.

Six of Swords escapes and avoids, is leaving in defeat to fight another day, is leaving town or going ‘over water’ which is sometimes overseas.  Six of Swords’ future is better because its past is so miserable.  Illustration shows refugees being helped out of a place, leaving with the clothes on their back.

Seven of Pentacles wonders, puzzles, contemplates, asks a question, is making a choice. It has a ‘duh’ tone to it, so it can form the sentence into a question. I planted these cucumbers and I hope I have both genders of the plant so I will get cucumbers on my vine.

Seven of Wands struggles. Here, you can be defending your turf against intruders, or defending your position.  Look at the picture: Seven of Wands can be the mouthy adolescent hell-raiser, the pushy rude obnoxious person in your face.  It can be having a temper tantrum or “I’m mad as hell and I’m not taking it anymore.”  Illustration shows a person roused from bed (That garb is an undershirt.) by neighbors who intend to move in and throw him off his land.  The idea is, fighting against the odds – him against six guys – he will succeed in defending what is his.

Eight of Cups ‘I’m outa here.’ Abrupt departure, abrupt switch, abrupt change of course. Dropping out.  Abandoning course.  Leaving in the middle.  Quit without notice.  Illustration shows a pilgrim having to go off course because the river forces the change of direction or detour. He is expected to resume his course.

Our Daily Spread for November 18, 2011 Friday ©

Advice announces you will win if you stand up to the dark side inside or outside yourself.  The big announcement is:  Whatever the biggest problem is,  is where your luck is:  Push hard there and the cosmic vending machine will send what you select down the chute.

(At the time of production, there’s no way to correct the lack of spaces after punctuation.  I am writing around it now!)

Is this the first time you come here?  Well … what to do:

*Go to Advice above which is a summary of the Messages. (Advice is everyone’s favorite part.)

*Go to Daily Message Tarot Analysis below. One or more of those sentences has something to say to you. Intuitively pick those out. They are about you and the people around you. They are about today and the days around it. (It is a group message like a horoscope, except Tarot isn’t based on someone else’s birth data, so it can be specific, accurate, detailed and direct. Our experiment here is “How much more accurate is it?”)

Did you come here for your predictions? – You are done now – See you tomorrow.

Without a question to focus the answer, four cards can mean contradictory things especially when the Spread has a card that negates other cards. Without a question also the pronouns in a group reading are more flexible, especially in some of these Rider Waite Tarot spreads. When a pronoun is in parentheses, feel very free to substitute. The question in a ‘real’ individual reading supplies at least half the information!

Devil

Nine of Cups  –  Seven of Pentacles  –  Seven of Wands

(All the cards show males,  but these messages apply to both genders.  I just went with  ‘he’  and  ‘him.’)

DAILY MESSAGE TAROT ANALYSIS  Tell the visitors here something useful and meaningful to them.

Problem-Resolved-Wonderfully Perspective (Nine of Cups + Devil)

Regarding whatever problem you are struggling with:  It goes your way,  all your way!

Wherever things are hardest for you,  push there for the best satisfying experience ever!

You thought you were facing a big problem but you got exactly what you wanted.

Well,  the showdown was a stressful experience,  wasn’t it?  –  but you got your way.

Can you fight for what you want and get it,  or is that a problem for you?

I believe you can fight that craving and have the life you want.

All you have to do is resist your evil side to be what you want to be,  you know?

I guess I fought my devil and won,  because I am satisfied with myself.

Struggle,  Combat,  Fight Perspective (Seven of Wands)

Do you really want this nasty fight?  –  you will win.

What is this joy of battle I am feeling?  –  It’s addicting.

Oh?  It wants to fight?  I’m feeling nasty!

Why am I feeling so mean?  –  because I want to defend myself?

Did I really get that wicked when I would not let him come in:  Yeah …!

Why do I consider getting directly in the face of the enemy with such satisfaction?

I think the worst that can happen would be:  I get him to scream and holler.

If you get in the bad guys’  face combatively,  you will get what you want.

He seems to be struggling against what he really wants like it’s the enemy.

Aren’t you pleased that you are standing up to the downside?

If it is evil we are fighting against,  bring it on!

Want to do harm in this battle now,  I guess.

I thought I was defending myself,  but now I want to get really vicious.

I will get what I want if I go face to face with the enemy.  Pondering this.

Well,  I thought I was defending myself … then I wanted to kill.

I guess if it’s a battle to the death,  I want it.

Is he demanding his space like you’re his enemy?  –  let him have it,  grant his wish.

I think the worst part of the abuse I face is:  enjoying the challenge.

Questions to Ponder Perspective (Seven of Pentacles)

Why does he get such satisfaction out of being aggressively rude and obnoxious?

He is such a pushy mouthy low-rent dude:  Why do I want him?

Why does he enjoy harassing people when he is drunk/high?

I guess he wants it all and will do any deviate and evil thing to get it.

I guess we gotta do something about those greedy evildoers.

Sooo,  does he enjoy being an obnoxious deviate?

Is the worst part when I enjoyed his hissyfit?

So,  am I ugly?  –  that is the last thing I want or will let happen.

I wished a bad thing on him,  I guess he is confronted with it now.

Devil

Nine of Cups  –  Seven of Pentacles  –  Seven of Wands

MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS:  OBSERVATION OF THE SPREAD

Wow!  This is different.  This was fun to type up,  quick too.  Starting with  “Your wish is granted,”  (Every deck I know of has this meaning for Nine of Cups.),  we go to Seven of Pentacles which is wondering and figuring things out,  pondering.

Then come two cards that  –  especially when combined  –  mean a knock-down,  drag-out battle involving defense and something extreme.  Now we got a story going!  –  some kind of nasty battle,  because Devil is  ‘most anything nasty,  ugly,  evil … you know,  a devil of a time?

I see this as an awakening to the joy of combat of a soul who valued peace to the point of cowardice.  Girls are like that a lot of the time,  those of us who aren’t overtly bloodthirsty?

MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS:  INDIVIDUAL RIDER WAITE TAROT CARDS

Nine of Cups,  as I said,  means  “Your wish is granted”  in just about any self-respecting Tarot deck.  The illustration evokes that Thanksgiving  ‘I et the whole thing’  feeling.  It shows a chubby fella with a big grin,  nine empty cups he drained.  Bet you can guess,  from the grin,  what was in them?  So Nine of Cups also means greed,  excess,  consumerism,  satiety,  gluttony,  pigging out … but not today.

Seven of Pentacles Hmmm.  That’s what it means,  you know,  ‘Hmmm.’  He is pondering and wondering whether his cucumbers will produce a crop,  whether both genders of plant are present.

Seven of Wands Mad as hell,  he is,  and in someone’s face demanding his space.  The mouthy pushy adolescent of any age and gender,  obstreperous and obnoxious,  intrusive and loud.  But this Rider Waite Tarot card also embraces defending yourself,  defending your position,  defending a cause,  defending your space or turf.  So the  ‘mad as hell and won’t take it anymore’  can be justified or not.  Illustration shows just that:  someone defending his place from a number of intruders who think it’s theirs.

Devil stands for the concept that being attached to dark-side anything (things,  people,  substances,  concepts,  attitudes,  feelings) is voluntary;  your chains are loose.

Advice      Sometimes you just have to get out of there,  whether fast or slow,  whether it’s your idea or you are under pressure to.  He figures dropping out is a way to avoid defending himself in a confrontation.  Perplexed about how to break out and get away:  It’s such a life change.  Why is he so mouthy that you go out of your way to avoid him?  Since so much stands in the way of a gradual withdrawal,  he figures he will drop out.

DAILY MESSAGE TAROT ANALYSIS

Tell the visitors here something useful and meaningful to them.

Contemplating Leaving

Perplexed about how to break out and get away:  It’s such a life change.

Contemplating just disappearing instead of fighting your/his way out of here.

Fighting off the uncertainty that comes with getting the heck out and putting it all behind.

They won’t let me quit,  maybe I will just just distance myself from the scene.

Contemplating leaving the country to avoid what is coming at you.

Avoiding (Him)

He figures dropping out is a way to avoid defending himself in a confrontation.

Why is he so mouthy that you go out of your way to avoid him?

Not sure how to avoid him when he cuts off your escape.

How to avoid him when he is all of a sudden in your face hollering at you?

How can we avoid him or force him to leave?

So far I have avoided a temper tantrum,  should I change?

Whether Gradually or Suddenly?

The challenge is whether to leave gradually or leave abruptly.

Seems he got mad and quit when he was on his way out anyway.

Since so much stands in the way of a gradual withdrawal,  he figures he will drop out.

Getting Mad, Raising Hell

Don’t know where it disappeared to,  must have left when I was raising hell at it.

He seems to have suddenly left his adolescent persona behind.

The fella who raised hell when I was leaving seems to have abandoned me.

So far I have avoided a temper tantrum,  should I change?

Would I have better days ahead if I get mad and quit?

A Shift Occurs

We weren’t going to let him leave,  and he seems to have disappeared.

It seems we have to detour to get out of this town.

We have to drop out but I believe better times are ahead.

A shift seems to have occurred that I have to deal with –  the old days are over.

Suspects he was going to be fired so he pushes for moving to another city.

Why did he leave when he was so against leaving?

MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS:  OBSERVATION OF THE SPREAD

Six of Swords is leaving,  putting it behind,  better times are ahead.  Eight of Cups is dropping out,  changing course abruptly,  detour.  So two of our Rider Waite Tarot citizens mean leaving.

Seven of Wands stands in the way,  mouths off,  raises hell,  is the mouthy adolescent.  It says  ‘You’re not going anywhere’  about the leaving theme;  or it is insisting on leaving,  or protesting leaving.

Seven of Pentacles is an invitation to make a question of the sentence,  and is puzzlement,  wondering,  contemplating and ‘duh.’

So the issue,  the story,  is about leaving.

MEANINGS AND ILLUSTRATIONS:  INDIVIDUAL RIDER WAITE TAROT CARDS

Six of Swords escapes and avoids,  is leaving in defeat to fight it another day,  is leaving town or going  ‘over water’  which is sometimes overseas.  It suggests the future is better because the past is so miserable.  Illustration shows refugees being helped out of a place,  leaving with the clothes on their back.

Seven of Pentacles wonders,  puzzles,  contemplates,  asks a question,  is making a choice.  It has a ‘duh’ tone to it.  I planted cucumbers and I hope I have both genders of the plant so I will get cucumbers on my vine.

Seven of Wands struggles.  It can be defending your turf against incursions of invaders,  or defending your position.  It can be the mouthy adolescent hell-raiser,  the pushy rude obnoxious person in your face.  It can be having a temper tantrum or  “I’m mad as hell and I’m not taking it anymore.”  Illustration shows a person roused from bed (That garb is an undershirt.) by neighbors who intend to move in on his land.  The idea is,  he will succeed in defending what is his.

Eight of Cups  ‘I’m outta here.’  Abrupt departure,  abrupt switch,  abrupt change of course.  Dropping out.  Abandoning course.  Leaving in the middle.  Quit without notice.  Illustration shows a pilgrim having to go off course because the river forces the change of direction or detour.
